Race: Human
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Marital Status: Single
Titles: "Rebel Scum", "The Voice of Treason", "You Fucking Bastard"
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Personality
Asher is as cold as the ice he can make, and he keeps his secrets as dark as the darkness he controls from other people. However, he can be as warm as the sun when it comes to friends, especially close ones. He would do anything and everything to protect those close to him. If one should become a hostage, Asher always gets them out without a hitch.

To loved ones, Asher would reveal everything and give anything to protect her.

Inside that ice-cold mask is a young boy engulfed in indignation, melancholy, and sadness over lost loved ones, but mostly melancholy.

Likes: The old and wise; friends; swords; Roman Catholism; unique stuff; nature; quiet and calm places; peace; books

Dislikes: People who are ungrateful; tyrants; rebels who think for themselves; the Devil; sometimes God; atheism; Dark Ages; noisey and rowdy settings

Weaknesses: Always try to protect the ones close to him; elements that counter the ones he used; revealing his identity prematurely
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Equipment
Chilling Blaze: Asher's main weapon. It's a katana, but longer. One side is tinted orange and the other is tinted light blue, signifying fire and ice. It is said that a cut from his weapon makes the area of the body so cold it burns. Unbreakable. It also makes his ice and fire powers more effective.

Sheath: The sheath is acutally made with the rock you would see castles made of, and it is also imbued with magic, making it unbreakable. Asher uses it to his advantage as a small and light shield. He can also use it as a blunt weapon.

Elemental tags: Tags that had elements imbued into them. Asher can use these as traps or projectiles. Flame tags explode with white flames, ice tags freezes the surrounding area, dark tags would make the enemy not see Asher and his allies, light tags blind the enmy, electric tags would make a lightning field, and wind tags would make the air push enemies back with enough force to match a tornado.

Asher's Robe: This robe is usually what Asher wears in public to conceal his belongings as well as his identity.

Asher's eyes: His eyes are not just for intimidation. They study you exactly like a book. Your actions, reactions, battle style, everything. In a few minutes, he would know you like you were family.

Illusionist Style: Asher has manipulation over darkness, which allows him to make illusions. They can also affect other senses, such as hearing, touch, taste, etc. Asher implements this in battle in various ways, dpending on the situation. It can draw enemy attention, deceive the enemy for an opening, and other uses.

Magic Skills
Fire
Ice
Darkness
(including shadows and illusion)

Battle Style
Asher is calm and decisive. He can think quick on his feet, and usually makes wise choices. Asher waits and goes in a defense position. He tries to either block or evade every attack whilst analyzing the opponent's attacks. Then Asher picks on the weak points of the opponent to open up more spots to hit. eventually, Asher would go back on defense, then wait for an opening to counter strike.

As for spells, Asher would choose quick and weak spells over large and powerful spells, unless he goes for a one-hit-win. Asher implements elemental manipulation into physical attacks, which classifies him as a battle mage. The sword amplifies his spells,
When it comes down to traps, Asher has an infinite amount of tags in his disposal. Asher can either use them as projectiles or place them as traps. Asher also can slam the tag into the opponent, get out quickly, activate the tag, then get back in to continue his offense.

As for how he wields his sword and other weapons, Asher is a master when holding his sword in one hand. His other either has another weapon or not. Asher is a master at the combination of sword-sheathe, allowing him to block and counter attacks easily. Asher can inconscpicuously reach into his robe and pull out some tags. Usually, they come out how Asher needed it. Asher either slams a tag into a foe at close range and knocks them back/jumps away before detonating it, throw it in hopes of getting the foe, or place them on the ground or walls to make a trap.

Asher does not have this weapon, but he is an excellent archer, as well as a scythe-wielder.

History
Asher... has an interesting history. His own village isolated in a forest was burned down by a tyrant. Asher managed to survive and hide from the knights. Then, he was adopted by an old man. The old man taught him magic while Asher learned the ways of the sword from a knight. Eventually, Asher used his skills to avenge all who are suffering under the tyrant, and managed to be successful. However, Asher left the nation after that, and went to another kingdom to dethrone yet another unjust ruler. Pretty soon, Asher was named "The Voice of Treason" by the kings, because of his persuasive voice and his ability to lead citizens against rulers easily. However, Asher had never led a rebellion against an actual good ruler or government.

So begins...

Kayo at this point was hugging her knees covering her head with her knees, her weapons lay at her sides. She like every demon could loose herself to the demonic nature that lurked inside her being. Only it wasnt so easy to snap back to herself. When she turned demon she was uncontrollable, blood lusty, animal in nature and mind. Evil as the devil himself and it didnt just snap back willy nilly either. It took her being knocked out or killed to actually return to the somewhat human nature she was now in. She was focused on calming down. She could not allow herself to be taken under control by the demon side of her. She had to keep it at bay. When she hear the demon language she almost snapped. The words drawing her inner demon out like mouth to a flame. It wasnt until she heard Asher's words It will be alright that she seemed to calm down even a bit. She allowed the words to sink in allowing there meaning to truly linger. It gave her something it focus on. She looked around trying to find what the demon was searching for. She was still terrified of corse and even at the sound of the wind russling a leaf she would flinch, recoil, shove herself further back against the tree, and shake in fear.

Nicholas watched intently from his position as the demon and half-breed began to quiver. His steps ceased. By the Divines, they know I am here! So much for surprising them.. Rising to full stature, the angel deftly drew his robe across his chest and latched it in place with a small golden chain. Beneath the folds of the satin cloth his right hand gently rested on the pommel of the elven sword, Aegisess, which hung at his side.

The human was taunting the crouched demon now. Nicholas watched as the male sheathed his sword and turned his attention to the half-demon. Foolish human. Never let down your guard when facing a demon, especially one which feels cornered. The angel's mouth became a grim line as he strode forth into the clearing. His footfalls were still silent, though he no longer attempted to hide his person. With eyes like the midday sun, Nicholas stared at the party of three. As he drew nearer the evil spirits, he lifted his left hand and summoned two orbs of shimmering, blinding light which danced together around himself. They were wards, to guard him from the possession or oppression of evil spirits.

Nicholaius, there is a fourth being nearby. An elf watches you from high in the trees. He means no harm, yet we sense a troubled spirit about him.

Imperceptibly, the angel nodded his head. Thank you, mighty One. Now, gather your forces. This might get ugly. The dancing orbs which flew around his body illuminated his gray, piercing eyes even more, and caused his face to hold more authority.

"I address only the demons. State your purpose!" The angel shouted, his deep voice echoing through the forest.

Kayo looked at the being and her ears bent back, her fangs bared as she roared like that of a panther and hissed at him. She growled low and predatory like. It was a warning for him to stay back and not draw closer. Her flashed red and glowed as she watched him with predatory like eyes, the pupils has shifted to slits like that of a cat. She watched him digging her nails into her own palm. Seeing the being was enough to make her again inch closer to loosing her own control. She quickly snapped her eyes closed and hid her face in her knees. She wanted him gone NOW. She wanted him to leave and go away so she could just go back to who she was. She wasn't a monster damn it! And when she got like this she felt like one. That was the worst thing about being half demon. No matter which being looks at you, your still a monster in every ones eyes. She just wanted the damned whatever he was gone but what he asked she held no answer for. She didn't understand the question. Nor did she know what her purpose was on this land. "I Don't Know!" She answered truthfully. "Ask the question another way or go away!" She half screamed half begged. She didn't like this thing. The way it spoke made her only think of ripping out every ones throats around her. In time Kayo had started to believe she wasn't evil or held any evil within her. She forced herself to believe she was something new, not evil and not good. That she wasn't a demon and she wasn't human. She was better then both. But the creature that stood before them was making it clear to her. She was only fooling herself. She was a half demon. She was at least half evil and there was no hiding that.

Asher wasn't intimidated by the fact that the demon grabbed his shirt and potentially cursed at him in an unknown language. He shrugged it off as if it was nothing. The only actually way to beat this guy is to have a calm mind... Asher thought.

He looked over to Kayo, who wasn't doing so well. Her voice showed she was desperate for the newcomer to go away. Asher sighed and walked over to her. He knelt down and grabbed her shoulder. "I said it'll be alright... calm yourself down, Kayo." Asher whispered. He sheathed his sword and stared at the scene that was unfolding before him.

Kayo took a deep breath "Easy for you to say." She said. "What the hell is he?" She asked wanting to put a name to this. She truly hadnt a idea what he was only that she loathed how he spoke and how he acted. She was trying to steady herself. She wasnt doing well at all. The will to survive and the fear was really fucking with her. she looked at Asher focusing on him. She had no chance if she didnt calm down. Damn that demon he must be the reason its here. I mean why else would a fucking demon hunter be out here unless it was to kill him! She had half a mind to deck him in the throat! then rip h- No! No! Stop! Your better then this. Stop. Now prove your half human. Prove your better then this! Prove it Kayo! Stop laying about like a weakling! We all have our crosses to bear! She screamed at herself in thought as she focused on Asher. After a few minutes she was back to her old self with one exception. She was now pissed. She stood up. "You whatever you are. Nice glow trick, did it help you keep the ghostys away at night?" She asks as she picked up her weapons. "See you asked me something. Well the answers simple. See, Mr. ol' scowl and prowl over there? And you see this man yeah the mortal one, he's a friend of mine. Real good fellow. And demon eyes or commonly known as ol'scowl and prowl, yeah...he offers amusement and likes games. Fun fellow. Morbid sense of humor though." She switched her stance to a more protective one and her eyes narrowed as they flashed the glowing red again though they stayed humanoid. Her weapons were at the ready. "My purpose is to protect them, the innocent. And it's to help slay those whom are doing evil deeds, like that of the Tyrant King, and buddy I don't know who you are but you sure look evil to me. Ever think one of those demons were actually good beings? Ever think they deserved life? No. Yeah thats your first problem. Though rare there's good demons out there and boy your looking at one." She spoke her eyes narrowed.

Sithe ground his teeth hard when the angel walked out. He squinted his eyes, blinded by the lights that surrounded the man. It was painful and he hissed lightly. Normal lights did not hurt his eyes. Only the glow of the sun had ever had an effect on him. But this being before him conjured with magic pure and good. It stung. It burned with a pain that only a demon could understand and his lips pulled back from his teeth, hissing again and slinking a bit closer to the angel, fighting against the rays of conjured sunlight and pain. From where he crouched, ready to pounce, he stuck his chest out, raising his head in challenge to show the angel that he was not going to cower away. Behind him the half demon had been reduced to a pile of blubbering and it made a grin appear on his white lips. At least he knew she had a weakness in there and it was one he could use later against her. He had an idea of what to torment her with during her nightmares. He made a check in his head and tucked it back into his brain to remember.

"Give me a reason why I need to answer to you?" Sithe hissed. His eye had narrowed to a suspicious slit, fear expressed on his face like anger. He swallowed, reminding himself that this was his territory. The angel would have one on him during the day- but he was stronger than the little boy that had been ambushed a century ago. He was wiser, quicker. Angels were just another enemy, sworn or not. Rivalry every lasting- Sithe would always be a demon of the darkness and during the dead of night, he claimed all the powers of the shadows. This was his world that the angel had stepped into.

A cloud of shadows grew around him, swirling like a cloak over his shoulders before shooting forth and coating the orbs of light. He could do nothing to make them disappear but block out their rays, he could. With the blinding lights temporarily snuffed out, he was able to better see the man, his silver eyes and light skin. There was no doubt who he was. Why he was there was a different story.

He rolled his eye when Kayo stood, cursing the angel and threatening to fight. She was incredibly frustrating. Yes, let's challenge the angel to a duel here in the clearing. Her demon side would be strong but the human parts of her weak. He didn't doubt her ability to fight but one moment she had been a sobbing begging mess on the forest floor and she had come back with words of steel. "Bipolar much?" Sithe joked harmlessly. But she continued on to say that she protected them. "Them" being him and Asher and he knew immediately she had taken him in. He had officially proven his point and gained her trust. He eyes Asher cautiously. Even if some others did not. It was only a matter of time now. "Thanks, kitty cat. But I don't need protecting." he replied to her with a light grin despite his terror.

He stepped in front of the two humans behind him, raising his crouched position so only the tips of his fingers brushed the earth underneath. The shadows moved like animals around him, ready for the angel's move. "You are the intruder here. How about you tell us- what is your purpose, malakh?"

She laughed "Perhaps but I cant let you get slaughtered now can i?" She asked with a playful smirk walking beside him.
When she was close enough she muttered to him her words: "Don't think you won't pay for that Bipolar comment later mutt. And well well look at you trying to be a big man when your about to piss yourself in fear its would almost be amusing were it not so pathetic." She was standing close enough to him that only he would hear what she said. She was letting him know just cause she was willing to band together with him to fight this thing she still didn't give a fuck about him and still wished his demise. She knew in time there game would be finished and she would walk away, while he lay crumbling in deaths grip. She was here to protect people and at the moment she was protecting the demon. Why? She was keeping him alive to die at the right time. She didnt lie about her purpose no. Her words rang true. She was here to protect people. Thats why she joined The Creed. That's why she wants to overthrow the king! She wants to protect the people who need protecting! She wanted to make her kind proud. All her kind they were innocent and they were slain. How many of her kind had this person slayed she wondered. She blinked at the word Malakh...she heard it before..

Her stance wasnt challenging it was only meant to further prove her words. That if needed she would protect the two. For now it showed she wasnt backing down and she would fight him. But she didnt want too.

Nicholas kept his eyes focused on the true demon, even throughout the half-breed's speech about protection. Her question struck an all-too-familiar chord within his brain. Ever think one of those demons were good beings? Yes, he had considered that. He had studied it out and pursued that thought for years. But sadly she was wrong. There were no good demons. Any good which a demon committed was merely a mimic of someone else committing a good deed. Much like the moon reflected the sun's rays at night. Demons were capable of causing good to happen, but they cannot and would not create good.

When the true demon advanced and dimmed the light of his wards, the angel spread his fingers slowly over the handle of his sword. The action was invisible to the others, but it was a signal to the heavenly spirits surrounding him. He sensed turmoil in the spirit world, as the legions of sprites within the demons before him screeched curses and threats to the celestials which surrounded himself. His attention was diverted when the demon spoke the in Hebrew tongue. By the Divines, he uses the holy language! Nothing so foul should ever use that tongue.. It was a disgrace! Judgement! Calamity! Sin!!

He blinked at the two standing before him, throwing questions at him. Their manner was disgusting, but he needed proof for the wrath of the Divines to uphold his actions. He needed their actions to be for a foul purpose. Only then could he have the chance of defeating them.

"My purpose is to walk the lands and bring redemption!" His words rang through the forest, his tone carried the authority of the heavens. "To bring hope where there is none, to provide peace to those who know it not, and..." His eyes grew hard. "To bring justice where there is none." With a flick of his left hand, the forest floor began to glow. The ground pulsed with a bluish pure light for about forty feet in every direction. This was no ward, no healing light. But it was conjured to eliminate the shadows, which the demon used for strength. The light also separated the foul spirits from their escape into the darkness.

"And you should answer me because I answer to the Divines. And they are much less patient with demons than I."

Kayo looked at him and then at the demon. "What did you do this time?" She asked under her breath. "You went and pissed it off. Your sitting here shaking in fear mutt and you pissed off the thing your scared? God and I thought I was thickheaded." she continued shaking her head. Damn this beast. Pissing of the thing your scared of was her thing! Not his! How dare he try to steal her thing!

Sithe was about to make a snarky comment about the angel's "purpose." It was his way of dealing with intense situations. He was a trickster above all else. As much as death appealed to him on the outside, he was full of mischief and the idea of watching people struggle brought a smile to his lips. But this angel was not just anyone. It was not just another human he would find joy in toying with. This was his enemy. Of all the enemies he had made for himself in the world this was the one being he would feel nothing to kill. Even deep down in his soul where the remaining pesky human emotions dwelled, locked behind bars of shadow and darkness, this angel called to be killed.

"Justice and peace. You know nothing of bringing justice and peace." Sithe spat on the ground between them, liquid venom on his tongue. How many days had he spent in his human life praying to a God that never answered his calls? How many nights had he laid awake at his sister's side and spoken to angels, begging them to save her life? Too many. Far too many. The cold, hard fact was that angels had no power over darkness. God? If He couldn't save the life of a six year old girl than what could make him believe He could do anything against all the powers of evil? It was sickening just to think. It was repulsive in Sithe's mind and he growled loudly in the darkness of the forest, a sound of anguish and revenge. He pressed a hand across the bandages shielding his one pure eye from the demons inside of him, fingers running along the protecting fabric. Beneath the cover, his clear eye rolled in his head with anticipation.

"Do not fool yourself, malakh. You cause more pain than good to more beings than you know. It is not only the demon in me that wishes you dead."

Sithe ground his teeth when the ground spread with a blinding light. It burned under his bare feet and he hissed in rage. This was his world! He would not be disturbed by the makings of light during his time of night! He drew the shadows from the sky, cloaking the night around him and using it to darken the earth if only just under his feet. It was still so bright, the feeling of fire against his naked flesh and his red eye locked with with angel.

"My name is Sithe and I answer to no one. I am a demon and I will not be judged by any God from heaven or hell." He drew his twin blades from his back, lines of shadows twirling and passing from one to the other. "You will have to fight me if my answer does not suit you."

Asher watched and heard what the demon said. "... You're just like me, aren't you, demon...?" He stood up. Fortunately, he wasn't affected by the light, but should a fight come, his shadow manipulation abilities would be weakened if not eliminated for the time being. Asher's face had turned serious, and he faced the demon. "You had a loved one once. You speak on behalf what might be the human side of you. God cannot save a little girl, God couldn't save an entire village... But there's a difference in what we are now, demon. I've grown to handle the fact that every person I know and love is dead. You, however, willingly turned yourself into a demon. You, however, willingly cause chaos and fear.

"Let me tell you this..." Asher continued. "You used to be human, no? What would your own sister think? You lost most, if not all your humanity and voice of reason. You now play and torture with various humans. Have you ever considered that maybe something good can happen to you if you actually learned to deal with it? Now that you're a demon, I can't see you being helped by God." Then he turned towards the angel. "If you are one to bring peace and justice, you should've seen this land many years before. Tell me, angel. How much strife and suffering do you see? Right now you have just seen a demon and a half-demon. However, there is more than that. God allowed my village to burn down and let every single resident lose their life. If His plan was to make me who I am today, then I will not be apart of that plan...

"There are tyrants, everywhere. I only dethroned 5, but then the freed lands would most likely be taken over by another tyrant. If God wanted to bring about peace and justice, He would be able to spark rebellions across the lands. I may be on your side, angel, but not fully. If you can prove to me that God truely is here with me, then this war of people and tyranies would stop..." Asher drew out his sword and pointed it at the demon. "For now, though, we need to focus on this demon. He needs to go away, one way or another. However, spare the life of the haf demon over there.... She is innocent, and trying to contain her more dangerous and threatening half. If you provoke her, she will go mad and be taken over by the demons inside her.

Asher turned back to the demon. His red eye started to glow. "Tell me... Do you really want to challenge a servant of the light? He would be a challenge, even without the 'Voice of Treason'...."

The words of the demon and human pierced into the heart of the angel. These poor souls.. They once believed, they once had a hope in the Divine. But no one came to help them. His eyes, only moments before were stern and commanding, now softened--even moistened--as he gathered parts of their painful story. Opening his mouth to speak, but no words escaped. Grief constricted his throat.

Oh Divines, give me the words. Use my tongue, let Thy will be shown here. Through this servant let them know that the hope which once was lost is now returned. The silent prayer left his mind, and a moment later the grief which had such a hold on him ceased. In it's place grew a passion. These poor souls before him had endured much ill, and they had blamed it on God. He was not to blame, for that is blasphemy. Only the workers of the light could carry His will to the world, and there were too few angels left.

"Angels cannot always be where we are needed." Nicholas' voice still faltered slightly, choked with compassion. "It is easier for a man to choose darkness over light, which is why there are an abundance of demons but too few of us. The Divine has many plans, but He chooses us to be His hands. To work His will."

Inhaling deeply, his eyes focused on Asher for the first time. "It was not His will for all those people to perish. You know as I do that their blood screams the word 'unjustice' from the earth. The Gods have heard their cry, and they have empowered you to stop tyranny. You may not know it, but Guardians protect you as we speak." With this his eyes closed and he whispered faintly, "May they help us in this hour."

"As for you!" Faster than thought, Nicholas had unsheathed Aegisess and with his right arm brought the elven blade to clash against the demon's two shadowy ones. "You have avoided my question. I did not ask who you were, but I asked what your purpose was." His eyes regained the flash of the midday sun against the lights on the ground.

"Is your purpose to harm or to help?"

Sithe gaped at the human as he spoke. How dare he? What gave him the right to preach to him about his way of life. He had been preached to far too long. He was tired of hearing it. He was tired of being told what he had and hadn't done wrong in his life. One hundred years of demonic hours. One hundred years living in the shadows. If any human had the nerve to eye him down and tell him bluntly that he was wrong than let them be struck dead by lightning. He knew nothing of who Sithe was and with a sharp snarl Sithe's eye narrowed and he hissed through sharp teeth, "His sister is dead. She no longer thinks at all."

His... He used the term as if it was not his sister at all as his teenage voice deepened for a moment of rage. It was not his sister that had passed. It was Walker Hart's sister. It was a sister of a boy who was only a shadow that day. It was the sister of a boy who no longer existed in the human world, a boy who had been slaughtered by his own faith, ruined by years of wasted prayers. Sithe had left that boy to drown long ago for his own stupidity. Sithe had dragged him into deep waters and let him sink down into the blackness. The human knew nothing of who he had been or who he was. Sithe was a demon through and through.

And demons did not have families.

All signs of his game were melting away by now. His joyful grin struck away by the words being spoken around him. He was tired of these people and their childish ways. He had only just begun to play. He had barely gained their trust. But already he was having no fun. It had been a simple plan before. He would get in among silly humans and rip them apart on his own. But in that moment his patience had grown thin, treading along by the skin of his teeth. How long could he suffer this way and still remain in their lines? Before- it had been easy, but as soon as the angel had arrived his fun had dissipated into the air, a puff of smoke that might as well have never existed. He surrendered. He had gained enough from this game and it was no longer fun. And Sithe's number one rule was if it wasn't fun- it wasn't worth it.

The angel's blades crashed against his and he dug his bare feet deep into the ground, bracing himself and leaning far into the being. His red eye dilating hungrily and an amused grin splitting like a scar in his face. "My purpose..." He hissed with a crazed tilt of his head. "Is to murder every one of your kind until the entire world known how it feels to live without Gods!"

Underneath his bandages- the pure eye of Walker Hart cried.

The shadows dancing along his blades crawled forwards, consuming the elven sword of the angel and shrouding it in darkness. It crawled up the edge of the razor like a living creature, the cold touch of death freezing every inch it touched. The shadow reached for the hilt of the blade where the angel's hands rested. Playtime was long since over.

The demon's words splashed over Nicholas like freezing liquid, transforming his face into the look of one at war. A holy war. Kit'Karum, prepare for a battle against the spirits! The creature of darkness has revealed its purpose, and it's worse than I feared. The shadows which tempted to pervert his blade caused the angel to shudder, and he swiftly doused the darkness by swiping the blade through the shimmering wards still orbiting his body.

We are with you, Nicholaius. I bid you Godspeed.

It was tempting to smile, but the wrath of the Divines would only be fulfilled through solemn judgement. Still, a tiny grin played at the edge of the angel's lips as he quietly muttered: "Godspeed, it is." Suddenly the breeze which wafted so gently through the forest roared with the power of an hundred wings, creating a powerful wind. The angel's physical form shattered into rays of light, burning brighter than the midday sun. After a few moments the blinding light subsided to reveal a new figure, an angel in Godspeed form. The cloak which formerly covered his body was missing, now wrapped around his waist as a skirt. His skin glowed with ethereal power from head to toe, and even his hair had changed from raven black to snowy white. Perhaps the most extravagant part of the transformation was the two mighty wings with protruded from his back.

And in his hands, the Aegisess pulsed with a light of its own as wards traversed up and down the length of the blade.

"May God lend His mercy, because I will not!" His deafening voice could be heard for at least a half-mile area.

"By divine strength, and for divine right,
Let these souls of darkness be banished tonight!
"

As the final words of the chant escaped his lips, the angel twirled his blade about the demon, dismissing the shadows with Aegisess's holy light. "Depart from his body, dwellers of the Gehenna! Depart or be destroyed!"

Asher sighed. There was no hope for this demon, just as the angel had thought. Asher at least wanted to see if the humanity sealed deep inside the demon would respond. However, it seems as though it did not. Suddenly, the demon and angel-now in a new form- clashed with awesome power. Then, the angel chanted some kind of spell, and the angel's sword had spun around the demon, shrouding it in light.

Asher covered his eyes from the blinding light for a second, then looked back at the scene. Just in case if it didn't work, Asher started to chant a spell of his own. "May you rest in a merciless embrace...." Asher muttered, closing his eyes in concentration to cast the spell. It was an ice spell. Not the strongest, but not the weakest either. His blue eye started to glow, and the blade had eminated a cold aura. The temperature near Asher had also lowered.

Suddenly, an armed and leather-armoured elf lands in the middle of the group, light on his feet. He has an axe drawn, a dagger in his left hand. His usually pretty face seems rather grim in the harsh light, and his blond hair almost ghastly.
Watching the demon and angel have their standoff was a given-- he didn't want to interrupt if nothing would come of it-- but he couldn't allow the barbarism any longer.
"I will not allow this in my forest," he states simply, staring down both men with dark-green eyes peering through slits. Turning to Asher, he glowers. "And if your ice damages any plant near you, I will have your head."
Turning again, he shoves his axe into his baldric and physically pushes the demon and angel away from eachother, tense.
"I have stayed my blade because I know you meant the forest no harm," he continues, standing between the two. "I am Joph, and this forest is my charge. I am its guardian. You will cease this action immediately."
Crossing his arms, he looks at Sithe. "And if you're escaping the king, this ruckus won't help you. There are soldiers making their way towards this forest now. My guess is they're looking for escapees. You'd all best be on your way," he continues, regarding the group.
Gracefully jumping up to a branch, Joph has a seat. "Now, if you need to be shown a way out of the forest, I can provide that-- As long as you cease this action at once."

Sithe registered the change in the forest, the way the wind blew and threatened to topple him over backwards was terrifying and he ground his teeth hard behind pressed lips. It was not the first time he had come hand to hand with an angel. It would not be the last, but his heart sped in the battle of a lifetime. The last time he had dared cross paths with his promised enemy, he had been young and unwise. He had crawled away with barely a life to live. But he had learned. He was one hundred years stronger and one hundred years more filled with hatred for creatures of light. They only ever saw the evil. No longer did they see the pain and agony buried underneath skin as white as snow. It was a black heart that beat black blood through his veins. It was all anyone would ever see and it was all he was.

Sithe's eyes locked on the black sky, his red eye flashing with malice only once before his pupil stretched to consume it entirely, a black hole in his head where an iris should have been. The shadows were thin around him, struggling to fight the light that shined from each corner of the forest, but they danced all the same like animals around a flame. This was his world the angel had trespassed into and even with all the powers of light- the angel would have a challenge going up against him. Godspeed or otherwise unsupported, Sithe had his own backbone. He could carry himself on his own and it showed by the suddenly amused smile on his face.

"I am not going anywhere. Your words are nothing in the nighttime. Try as you will to banish me from this body."

Black shadows shot from his blades towards the sky, the wind conjured by the angel growing stronger and stronger until a near tornado surrounded them in the clearing. But far above them in a sky black as night, the stars were blacked out, each one erased by Sithe's overpowering shadows. Each light vanishing as dark clouds slid in front of the moon, blocking out all the life above them.

And then it was over. Sithe had been so focused on the angel that nothing could have possibly gotten in his way. His entire focus had been on his bipolar enemy. So focused that when Joph landed between them he was shaken from his dark trance, staring at the man between him and his target. He shook his head, laughing now, a sharp sound in the black of night. It was not his normal joyful laugh. It was the laugh of irritation. The laugh of frustration at being interrupted. He sheathed his blade though, rage consuming him as he continued to laugh his crazed laugh. With a thin white finger he pointed up at the man crouched among the branches of a tree, the same man he had tricked into leading him to his prey. "You..." He hissed. "You will pay for sticking your mortal nose where it shouldn't be."

The blackness around his eyes shrank, the red returning as he eyed the angel before him. He was not done fighting but to continue could end disastrous. It was four to one if he continued. On a good night it would have been no problem. But he was angry and frustrated at losing his game and he would not be fighting his best. He would return when the fun continued in his heart. In that moment, he needed to regroup and return. He spat on the ground between him and the angel, black venom burning the dead leaves on the forest floor. "Don't forget me, malakh. I will be back to play."

In a rush of shadows, Sithe vanished into his cloud of black smoke, traveling around the clearing and off into the night.

Kayo smirked narrowing her eyes. "Finally a little action." She smilled. But before she even had time to act. One annoying demon left. A fucking knife ears appeared and eveything went to hell. She sheathed her weapon and sighed. "Yea I heard you let's go Asher." She said putting her hand on his shoulder.

The dark power which the demon manipulated took Nicholas by surprise. When the starlight began to dissipate, he thought he could feel the cold chill of evil crawling across his skin. Even while channeling the combined power of scores of Celestials, the demon had brought a twinge of fear. It bothered him, like a blot of ink on an otherwise perfect letter. Fear brought back memories of the first demon he had ever faced. That demon had saved his life, and at the same time it had destroyed his father.

When the elf appeared and faltered the concentration of his enemy, Nicholas almost sighed in relief. The immense blanket of dark energy which the demon had conjured eroded and he released the tension in his muscles. Merciful Divines. Thank you, oh great ones, for guarding me this hour. For being ready and willing. I am truly in your debt. As the demon hissed at the elf, the angel's ethereal appearance began to fade into natural. His human body took form once more, the celestial power now retreated once again into the spirit world.

"Thank you, dear elf--" His words were abruptly interrupted by the demon's last words before retreating into the shadows. They were directed at him. And they were a promise. Nicholas deeply exhaled as he felt that twinge of fear again. I will never forget your kind, shaydim. His eyes swept across the others around him, sizing them up. They settled upon the elf sitting contentedly on the tree branch.

"Thank you for the offer, dear elf. I trust your judgement of the safest way out." The young angel was readjusting his cloak for traveling purpose. "And please, be swift."

Joph nodded at the stranger, launching himself from the branch and quickly making his way through the forest. He cut around trees, often climbing them to get a read on where they were. Joph quickly led the group towards the quickest route to the village-- a small path the villagers often used for hunting.
It was also a killing ground when they did so.
He motioned for the group to follow, swiftly jogging his way along the path.
"I'd ask what brings you into these woods, but I'm not sure I would enjoy the answer," the elf says, somewhat upbeat for being on the cusp of danger. "The path should bring you out close to the village. From there, you are on your own. I must return to my post swiftly. I shall cover your trail. Should the soldiers enter the forest, they will be slain."
Picking fruit from trees as he ran, Joph tossed them back to the group. "Take these and eat while you can. I would offer you a place to rest, but with the soldiers on their way their isn't time. I do not have waterskins I can lend you, either. I am truly sorry."
