Introduction
There have been rumors of something dark arrising from the North Valley. Any Pokemon that came from there is carefully watched and observed. More and more Pokemon are signing up, but more Pokemon are turning bad to something evil.
In case you are wondering, Northerners tend to be a bit violent and are great fighters. Most of them are Ice-types, so they are carefully watched if one is sighted. So far, any other Pokemon that goes to the North Valley area hasn't returned. What has happened to them? And more importantly, what is going on up North?

"No, no, that's not how it should go. Let me try that again."
He began to strum his guitar.
"All out times have come.
"Here, but now they're gone.
"Seasons don't fear the reaper."
"Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain.
"We coul... Gah!"
He threw the guitar down in the sand.
"Never going to figure out the lyrics."

Crystal rushed to Rai's side. "Rai! Are you okay?" She gently placed a paw on him. Then she heard music. "What was that?" She turned to the others. "Did you guys hear that sound? Maybe we should check it out."
Thunder
Thunder kept his distance from the pikachu. He felt something going on with the electricity from him. There was no doubting it now. Something was going to happen. And there was definately something funny going on about that kid. His eyes hardened. "Crystal, you might want to get back." He didn't trust that pikachu to keep Crystal safe right now, however much she cared about him.
Shade
Shade saw Thunder tensing. 'What....' He looked at the pikachu. 'Yeah, something's definately going on here.' He tensed too. For some reason he wanted to protect her. 'Maybe it's because she's so much like Scarlett when she hung around me and Thunder.' he thought sadly.

Layne had seen this before with electric pokemon, but it was still too early to to tell how severe it was. It didn't look too severe, but he wouldn't be too quick to judge. Most of the time, all the pokemon had to do was discharge enough electricity back to its minimum level. This could be done using the moves it knew, though it took patience. Electrical overcharge was common in electric pokemon who were exposed to high levels of electromagnetic energy. But Layne wasn't exactly sure of any place nearby with such energy. The overcharge would also come with unbearble symptoms. Fever, horrible pain, and most pokemon Layne knew to have had it, had very short patience.
Layne ignored the sound that was being talked about. "Rai needs some rest. My...cave...is not too far from this beach, I got some food and a bed he can sleep on for a while should you so choose." Layne popped his neck. "Where exactly has Rai been today?"

Crystal looked down. "Well.. He's been to the guide, the forest, and he's been on a cliff for a while, and this beach. But how could those place cause him to overcharge?!"
Thunder
Thunder panicked. "Crystal, get away from that pikachu. You could get hurt!"
Crystal
Crystal shook her head and looked at him stonily. "No! I won't leave Rai."
Thunder
Thunder looked at her sadly. "I'm sorry Crystal. But you leave me no choice." He ran to her and grabbed her by the scruff, carrying her even while she kicked and struggled.
Crystal
Crystal broke from his grasp and ran to Rai.
Shade
Shade growled. "Crystal!" He blocked her path and icily glared at her. 'Sorry I had to do this.'
Crystal
Crystal cowered and hid behind Thunder.
Thunder
He tried to comfort her.

"Close my eyes."
"Only for a moment, and the moment's gone.
"All we do.
"Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see."
Orpheus stopped playing as he approached the group.
"Hey there!"

"Rai!" It was Miss Jynx. Rai looks over at her, lying on the ground, panting, sparks emitting dangerously. They Ice/Physic Pokemon rushes over to him. "Rai, what were you doing?!"
"Rai laughs weakly. "Trying to perfect my Thunderpunch. I thought if I could do that, I could master the Icepunch.
Miss Jynx sighs. "You're suffering from an electric overcharge, Rai, you need to rest up."
Rai sighs. "Alright Miss Jynx."
Rai clenches his teeth in pain. No, this wasn't an electric overcharge. This was...different.
Rai suddenly gets up on his feet. But Rai wasn't controling his movements. He was still in pain, he didn't want to move!
He growls at the Umbreon that was standing in front of him, his back turned to him. Then his raises his fist, now glowing white. It was Brick Break, and his hits the Umbreon, sending him flying.

Layne immediately got on the defensive. He knew he was at a disadvantage when it came to fighting electric pokemon, but he had taken down electric pokemon before. "Okay, my guess is it's something different now!" Layne said a bit more edgy.
Layne focused waiting for any sudden movements in his direction from Rai. "Come on Rai, what's going on? I think we both know we don't want anything bad to happen."

Rai pants heavily. Whatever was happening, he didn't want it to happen. He didn't want to attack the Umbreon, he just wanted to rest! He turns to Layne. "He-" his voice got caught in his throat. It was like he couldn't speak. Instead, his body, against his will, charges at Layne with incredible speed, his fist outstretched, his Thunderpunch move ready.

"Hey! Break it up!"
He strummed his guitar, firing a Hyper Voice at Rai. He didn't intend to injure him. The force was intended to stun.

Crystal
Crystal broke free. "No!" She sobbed. "Rai, what are you doing? We're your friends! Let us help you. Don't hurt us Rai."
Shade
Shade growled and stood up, shaking himself to get rid of the sand that now stuck to him. "Sorry I had to do this kid. But you really need to stop this." Shades eyes flashed dangerously. He fired up his most powerful dark pulse and let it loose. When Shade used this move, it usually took out the pokemon he was battling. No reason to think that wouldn't work now. Unless, it didn't hit. Then it would be a problem.
Thunder
Thunder took a protective stance in front of Crystal. "Stop Crystal. You might only make him worse than he is. Someone else might be able to, but you can't help him right now." He steadied himself and stored up on electricity, preparing for an attack from the pikachu. He was going to defend Crystal, no matter what it took. But he wouldn't forget about Shade, who was as close as a brother. 'I'm going to protect both of them.'

Rai was attacked with Sand Attack, and Hyper Voice from a pokemon who had just joined the group, Croagunk. Layne knew he was going to take a beating with what he planned to do, but he could take it.
Layne was curious. Rai was able to barely speak, but then it was as if.....something had shut him up....
As Rai got closer, Layne's fist glowed a light blue. His fist met with Rai's fist. The electricity surged through Layne. And it hurt. Layne kept his mouth shut, but he couldn't hold back a look of pain. But hopefully, his ice fist, which was what Rai had touched, would do something, hopefully snap Rai out of it. If not, maybe freeze Rai to the point where they could take him to Layne's cave, and whatever was up, would hopefully pass...

He gets bombarded with a Hyper Voice, then a Sand Attack got in his eyes. He wipes at his eyes. Dang it dang it dang it DANG IT!
He goes to lift his arm, but he couldn't. Rai looks down and sees that halfway up it was frozen. Dang it......
Nevertheless, the same mysterious force makes him charge at Layne again. He'd try once more to speak.
"Help-" dang it, his voice got caught again, but at least he said help, so maybe they'll understand that he couldn't control himself.
Using his other hand, unwillingly, he too starts a Icepunch at Layne. He just hopes the Buziel will get out of the way.

But he had heard the 'help' come from the Pikachu, which meant, something was out of place.
Layne jumped into the air and dove into the ground executing Dig. He got to a low surface and stopped. He began to feel the earth for any sudden movements. Layne didn't wish to harm Rai, but if he had to knock Rai out-cold to put an end to this sudden outburst, he was more than willing to do it.

The Eevee.....Crystal......we want her.......Ok, Rai thought, who's this talking in my head?! Get.....the Eevee!
Charging at the Jolteon and Crystal, Rai prepares another Brick Break, having to go through the Jolteon before getting to Crystal.

Crystal looked in pain as the two electric-type pokemon attacked eachother. A determined spark appeared in her eyes. "I can't let this happen." Crystal ran in between, waiting for the attacks to sent her flying.....

We can't have any damage done to the Eevee......whispers the stupid yet familiar voice, she can't be harmed.
Instead, the mysterious force makes him just go to do quick jabs at Crystal, and Rai quietly screams in his head for her to get the heck out of the way. If he was successful, these quick jabs would paralyze her limbs and joints, making her unable to move.

Rai didn't see the Dig before it was too late, and when Layne surfaced underneath him, Rai was sent flying. He lands serveral feet away from the group. Rai urged himself to stay down, but once again his body didn't do what it was told and he got up on his feet. Dang it! This is getting on my nerves, he thought silently. He shakes his head, the only movement he was free to do. This was so aggervating.

Shade shook his head. "Get out of the way Crystal!" Quickly he started firing up a shadow ball.
Crystal
Crystal turned to him wildly. "No! I-I'll take care of it." She took a deep breath, then looked at Rai. She used attract on him, putting on her most pretty and innocent face. 'I hope attract works... Maybe it'll be enough to snap him out of it.'
Thunder
Thunder felt so hypnotized by Crystal's attract, he actually felt jealous that she was giving it to Rai and not him.

Crystal jumped out of the way as Rai headed towards her. "I'm sorry I'll have to do this Rai." She turned to Shade and made a mini shadow ball in her mouth. He understood. They made powerful shadowballs and launched them, combining them in mid-throw. The now enormous shadowball hurtled towards Rai. To add to the mix, Thunder added a thunderbolt, making the shadowball spark with electricity. They all waited to see if it would hit....
