Appearance:
A little taller than most Buizel, and he wears a pair of goggles on his forehead, he uses while underwater.
Personality:
He's very unique when it comes to personality. He seems somewhat isolated in his mind, but is very close to any friend he makes. He has strong spirit, and hates giving up. He will get a little upset to those who wish to give up, and does not back down from any challenge. Sometimes this tends to get him into some touble, but he knows his ways out of trouble. He doesn't always enjoy fighting, but when he does fight, he can deal a beating just as well as he can take one. He loves the water. He spends a lot of time in some large body of water.
Tiny Bit of History:
Layne grew up mostly on his own, learned most of what he knows now on his own, and he lives outside Treasure Town, by the beach, in a cave. He learned to fight from different pokémon, and has excelled in close combat as well as his own water abilities. When it came to exploring and rescue teams, Layne never showed much interest.

Fun Fact:
Layne can swim faster than most Buizel, and hold his breath underwater up to 15 minutes, over ten minutes longer than the average Buizel. (Buizel is still mammal and therefore does not have infinite lung capacity). He has trained himself to tune into the water's environment, he can feel and hear you enter, and he can feel where you come from while submerged. He wears his goggles underwater to see better.
