Anywhere

Danielle was sitting in her room, doing her homework. I hate math homework. She thought to herself. Then seconds later her mom called to her, "Danielle?! Are you doing your homework?!" Danielle called out as loud as she could, "YES MO---" Her voice cracked in the middle of the word "mom" so she dropped her pencil and started to gently rub her throat, "What just happened?" She said quietly. Danielle knew she was going through puberty because her body was developing faster than some girls in school but now her voice is cracking? "There is only 4 more days until 8th grade ends! Why does my voice have to start changing now?" She picked up her phone quickly and started texting her best friend, Stevie. Her text said, "Dude?! My voice just cracked when I screamed at my mom! Ugh I hate everything!". She stood up and plopped down on her bed, "UGHHHHH!"

Stevie was too busy slamming her head against her desk to even acknowledge that her phone was buzzing. A couple minutes later, she lifted her head and saw a message on her phone. So? My voice has been cracking too. But not too often. You worry too much. Stevie always texted her that. Stevie's little brother walked in. "Get out." She said slamming her head back onto the table. "Why are you doing that?" Her five year old brother asked her. "Because I had a rough day." She lied. She was having mood swings. As soon as her brother had left the room, She got up and walked over to her bed. It was pretty late for her. She fell forward and smiled. "Hmmm.... Fluffy..." She mumbled to herself before falling asleep.

She sat up and looked in the mirror. Everything about her was normal, brown hair, dark blue eyes, average height, but the one thing that stood out was her large bewbs (awkward). She smiled at her reflection and then changed into her fuzzy pajamas. She quickly finished her homework, brushed her teeth, and fell into bed. She called out to her family, "Night!" She received a good night from her mom, dad, and sister, Meaghan and after thinking about graduation for a couple minutes, she fell into a deep sleep. Only to be awoken in the morning by her blasting alarm clock. She hit the alarm clock so it would stop beeping and she pulled her pillow over her face and continued to sleep for a few more minutes.
