Bio:
Xin Huang was born noble as his father was a Duke of the fief of Red Hill. Life was good since the Kingdom had been seeing more metals mined in the mountains. Everything was great...until the plague came through the border with Balor. They were right next to the border so the Fief of Red Hill was the first to fall to it's malice. They King cut off trade and supplied them in return yet eventually the supplies stopped. The results were masses dying (not as many as in Balor since Duke Huang had been preparing for it). Xin and his father fell ill, his father died, however Xin survived to take the place as duke at only nineteen years of age.
Ruling was hard since he not only had to deal with the expense of the plague but also the hiking taxes that the King had placed. Xin was getting sick of it. So he began to slowly bulk his forces at Red Hill over the course of five years while he waited for the right time to strike. All the while he convinced the King that it was to kill any who crossed the border to Balor, which was only somewhat true. The war started when Xin sent a thousand men to take a small mining town that belonged to the monarchy.
Since then the war had been raging on. Soldiers that were not taken by disease were taken to the front lines to hold the line in case either side broke the stalemate. Now Xin is frantically searching for a trump card that may help him win within the next year.
Other: The funds of the duchy, which initially funded the entire rebellion, has waned significantly.
