Setting
It has few permanent civilian settlements; the indigenes are nomadic tribesmen who supply the Imperial Lancers. The exception is the Northern Territories subdivision on the Long Border. This area is heavily-fortified with a string of fortresses and citadels, often called the Bloody Fields thanks to the sheer amount of blood that has been spilled on the contested plains here.
Coreollis is the largest fortress of the Territories and the Marches as a whole, the seat of the military governor of the province, de jure capital of the Marches and the base of whatever Legion is manning the forts at the time.
The Long Border is regarded as a highly useful method of training the Legions of the Empire, so they are cycled in and out of the fortresses there on a regular basis to maintain the fighting edge.
