Ariana is slight and fragile looking. She is only about five feet, four inches tall and thin with barely a curve to call her own. Still, she's been told she has a pretty face, with wide, brown eyes and a wealth of curly brown hair. Current Diagnosis: Suicidal and moderate obsessive compulsive disorder.

Personality: Ariana's personality seems about as fragile as her body. She is deathly shy and soft-spoken, easily broken down with words. She maintains a happy facade and will never easily admit how bad something makes her feel. Still, she's been making some real progress since the "incident" as her famly refers to it.

History/Important Information: Ariana's parents were very much in love when they got married. Her father never really wanted children, but her mother wanted a child very much, and he wanted to make her happy. Unfortunately, she died giving birth to Ariana. Ariana thinks that her dad still hasn't stopped grieving for his lost wife and the baby he never really wanted and really that's the only reason he treats her the way he does. Her dad was a commisioner, and then a representative, and then a senator in Arizona, so almost as soon as she could walk, Ariana knew what was expected of her. She was enrolled in the best schools, the most advanced programs, high profile community service projects, always dressed just so with just the right smile for the cameras. The older she got, though, the more intense the pressure became. She dreaded the few nights a week her father was actually home. He drank far, far too much and though she knews he would never in a million years lay a hand on her, sometimes, she wishes he would. Sometimes, a quick slap, painful but over and done with, would be preferable to the words he hurls at her every night. She's stupid. Ugly. Pathetic. Incompetent. Selfish. A whore.

No, she isn't close with her dad at all, but she's always been obsessed with pleasing him, leading her to be very quiet, shy, and obsessed with her grades and extracurricular activities. She didn't have many friends. None of them really thought anything was wrong when she started arranging and rearranging her desk before the start of every class, or the fact that it would take her five minutes to tie her shoes
Her one bright spot in life has been music, which she loves more than anyone else in the world, even more than her father. She began playing piano when she was very young, to make her him happy, at about eight, and started with the guitar at the age of eleven. She writes her own music on the guitar and piano, but is very insecure about those and doesn't share them.
She got the nickname Grey during elementary school, because she had such a weak stomach and was slightly spoiled on her nanny's gormet cooking and was constangly going grey at the processed cafeteria food. She still has a bit of a weak stomach and has been a vegetarian since she was nine years old and one of her guy friends showed her a video of what actually goes on in meat processing plants.
Why are you seeking treatment?: November 24 was the homecomming game. Ariana didn't come home until noon the next day. Her father was in her face immediately, shaking the front page of some tabloid. The picture ws of Ariana, draped over the chest of some leering teenager in her underwear. He grabbed her, shook her roughly, but no matter what he said, she maintained the same glazed expression. It was as if she wasn't even there. Finally, he gave up and stalked off to pour himself another scotch. He wasn't there to see Ariana walk out onto the patio and, in her school uniform, backpack and all, step into the pool. A few minutes later, the landscaper pulled her out.
