Tragedy struck far too quickly when the Dark Knight reached his end. Wayne Enterprise was without their leader and Gotham no longer had it's savior. This is when the battle for the cowl began. Jason Todd, Batman's second Robin and first failure, was the first to steal the mantle for himself using his ideology of firearms to control crime. He saw only attempting to stop crime like his former partner would a waste of time and something that could never truly work. The second to try and take the cowl was Azazel but his downfall into madness and methods made Jason seem merciful. Though Jason could not stop him without the help of the first Robin, Dick Grayson. They also needed the third and fourth, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne. They eventually overthrew Azazel before fighting amongst themselves on who should become the next Batman until it was decided that the mantle belonged to Dick Grayson. Dick took on his new role as Batman with Bruce's son, Damian Wayne, as his new Robin while Tim Drake was named Bruce's heir over Damian in his will becoming the owner of Wayne Enterprise. The failure, Jason Todd, was outcasted by his brothers once more while they brought Gotham back up from it's darkness and he disappeared into his own.

Many years have passed since the battle for the cowl and the young heroes had settled down and had children along with villains of Gotham City. Things still ran the way they used to but all was well enough. There was still balance within Gotham until tragedy manged to strike once more... Damian was the first of the Robins to fall. He was still so young when it happened. He'd been struck down while fighting along Dick's side. Next was Jason. He'd been captured and tortured with his favored daughter for many months before she had been released and Jason Todd was simply gone with nothing but laughter to hint at who took him. The final Robin to be taken away was Dick. This one was the worse. Once more Gotham had lost their Dark Knight and no one knows where he is or if he's even still alive. No one knows who is the mastermind behind the fallen Robin's nor why they chose to strike now. Tim Drake, the remaining Robin, has gathered the children of his fallen brothers and allies to find the missing Robin's and bring an end to the villain behind it. These heroes have a few problems though... Working together and facing the next generation of villains.
