Description
Maya is about 5'5"-5'6" with shoulder length brown hair and deep set chocolate brown eyes. She's lean but strong due to her years of dancing(with every other girl in Bayville -_-).
Personality
She's the type of girl to sit down and watch the old T.V shows(I love Lucy, Mash etc) and not give a damn about what people say. She's a hopeless romantic and enjoys a good love story be it book or film. She's kind hearted toward most everyone but she's also not afraid to stand up for herself. She loves hot drinks(tea, coffee, hot chocolate) and drinks them quite often. She's also a thinker, staying up late into the night just thinking.
So begins...
Maya Morningstar's Story
Maya smiled and opened her mouth to speak but the words died on her lips. She saw it before anyone else did. The first punch thrown just feet away. The body of a young man sailed through the air and crashed into a group of girls, causing them to spill their drinks with a scream. Their boyfriends, acting all tough, threw a couple punches themselves.
"Shit!" Maya muttered as that one punch started an all out brawl.

Even over the music, Inu could hear the shouting. She and Ria glanced at each other and burst through the stage doors. "Cut the power to the stage!" Inu ordered as she pushed through people, trying to get to the stair case. The fist hand that reached out to grab her made contact with her upper thigh. She spun and in one swift motion threw a punch that knocked the drunken bastard out cold. Without missing a beat she continued toward the stairs.
"Shit!" Maya muttered as that one punch started an all out brawl.

"Well it wouldn't be Saturday without a fight or.....seven." She looked up in time to see Inu appear at the top of the stairs. Her golden eyes danced over the scene and she locked gazes with Maya and nodded. Maya signaled to the DJ's who quickly covered their equipment with blue tarps.
"Hope you don't mind getting wet." Maya mumbled, reaching over to pull the fire alarms. Cries of surprise erupted around them as the sprinklers turned on, showering everyone with cold water. From her spot at the top of the stairs, Maya heard Inu whistle.
"That's it!" She screamed. "Everyone clear out before I sick security on your sorry asses!"
"Hope you don't mind getting wet." Maya mumbled, reaching over to pull the fire alarms. Cries of surprise erupted around them as the sprinklers turned on, showering everyone with cold water. From her spot at the top of the stairs, Maya heard Inu whistle.
"That's it!" She screamed. "Everyone clear out before I sick security on your sorry asses!"
Maya shook her wet hair out from in front of her eyes. "No. You're good. She just wants the brawlers out...and everyone else for that matter." She watched as people flooded out the doors until there was no one left but a few stragglers, Tony and the employees.
"Well, that was fun." Tallon mumbled, showing up soaking wet and smelling like beer. "Some idiot tipped my tray when the sprinklers went off."
"At least you got a shower." Maya smiled.

"Yeah well, that's bound to happen when ninety percent of the employment are all females. But we learn to take care of ourselves in this place, and with Inu stalking around...well...people tend not to touch. And those who do learn real fast not to."

Inu walked down the rest of the stairs, shivering slightly as water droplets ran down her bare skin. "I hate it when this has to happen." She muttered to herself.

"Ah, her bark is worse than her bite most of the time." Maya said, ringing water from her hair. "She's just got a thing about guys. She doesn't trust them."
Maya shook her head slowly. "Bad things have happened to her...she's built walls of steel around herself. It's sad, actually." She gasped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to look into Inu's goldenrod eyes.
"I do what I have to to protect myself." She said. She looked tired, and much older than she really was. "Go home, Maya, get some sleep. I know for a fact you've been up since at least 5am." Maya hesitated.
"Are you sure? The club..."
"Tallon, Ria and I can handle it. It's the least Ria can do after trashing my apartment." Maya nodded.
"O-ok."
"I do what I have to to protect myself." She said. She looked tired, and much older than she really was. "Go home, Maya, get some sleep. I know for a fact you've been up since at least 5am." Maya hesitated.

Maya smiled. "It's only about two blocks from here, but I'd like that." She gathered her things-frowning at her wet belongings- and headed for the door. "I'll see y'all on Monday."
"Mmmk." Inu hummed.

"Well, once the place shuts down people don't really see much of a reason to hang around, so they scatter. It never takes long. C'mon, I'm this way." Maya led him down the street. "So tell me, Tony, what is it you do exactly?"

I get all my excitement at the club, so I'm not really a party person." She stared at the ground. "On my days off I tend to just curl up and watch old movies and tv shows, or read." She smiled. "Lame, isn't it?"

Maya looked up at him, surprised. She had figured that a guy like Tony would have had woman throwing themselves at him. "Really? You've been alone that long?"

Inu raised an eyebrow and grabbed a glass off the shelf. "Here." She called, filling the glass with whiskey. "What ever it is thats on your mind, you look like you really want it to be gone. This'll help."

She shrugged her shoulders. "When you live in the city like this...well...guys want someone to party with them. Like I said earlier, I'm not much of a party person." She stopped outside a large building. "Well, this is me..."

"I'd like that." Maya smiled. "And since you seem new to the whole 'city' scene, maybe I'll show you around a bit. Could prove to be fun." She turned toward the door of her apartment building and waved over her shoulder. "I'm on the tenth floor. Apartment 14." She said before sliding inside.

Inu shrugged her shoulders. "Like I said. I'm a bartender. It's what I do." She pulled out the half empty bottle of Wild Turkey. "It's funny how much you can tell about a person by the alcohol they drink." She chuckled and put the bottle back.

Maya closed her apartment door with a sigh and tossed her keys onto the stand beside the door. There was a rustle in the kitchen and she rolled her eyes.
"Seth what are you doing in my house?" She asked with a roll of her eyes.

It was around 10:30 when Maya showed up at Inu's door. Ria glanced up from her coffee cup and Tallon lowered the paper. Inu turned in her seat and called,
"It's open!" The door opened and slammed shut and Maya walked in dressed in a pair of bootcut jeans and black t-shirt. "Well don't you look casual." Inu commented. Maya pulled up a chair and Tallon got her some coffee. "Plans today?" Inu asked, arching an eyebrow. Maya blushed and nodded her head.
"Actually yes. I have a lunch date....with Tony." Tallon turned.
"That guy from the club last night." Maya nodded her head. "Not bad. What's Seth think about this?"
"I haven't told him." Maya admitted. "And I don't plan on it either...you know how he gets."

"Shhhh! You'll break my concentration." Inu rolled her eyes.
"Maya, shouldn't you be getting ready for your date?" Maya looked down at herself.
"I am ready." She said. Inu's brow wrinkled.
"That's what you're wearing?"
"Yes, Inu, this is what I'm wearing out to lunch. It's LUNCH not a night on the town." Inu laughed.
"Touche."
"Shhhh! You'll break my concentration." Inu rolled her eyes.
"Maya, shouldn't you be getting ready for your date?" Maya looked down at herself.
"I am ready." She said. Inu's brow wrinkled.

"Yes, Inu, this is what I'm wearing out to lunch. It's LUNCH not a night on the town." Inu laughed.

Inu pulled on a pair of shoes and her coat.
"Where are you going?" Tallon asked. Inu shrugged.
"Out." She said, opening the door. "You know me, Tal, I can't stay cooped up for long...not even in my own apartment. Good luck Maya. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" She closed the door behind her, Maya's laughter trailing after her down the hall.

"I love how she just leaves us in her apartment." Tallon muttered. The three of them looked up as someone knocked on the door. "If that's the UPS guy...I'm not answering. The last time I did....I was scarred for life."
"That's just so wrong Tallon." Ria wrinkled her nose. Shaking her head, Maya stood.
"I'll get it...pansies." She pulled open the door and smiled. "Tony, hi."

Maya laughed and shook her head, grabbing her jacket from where it was hanging beside the door. "Of course not. I'm leaving girls." Tallon and Ria called their good-byes and Maya stepped into the hall. "Ready?"
Maya smiled and looped her arm through Tony's. "Well, that all depends on what you want. There's plenty of chain restaurants here but there's this really good mom and pop diner about fifteen minutes from here." She said, leading him down the hall.
