Inu leaned against the wet bar, her forehead resting in a puddle that had formed. Tallon and Ria had vanished in search of anything to soak up the water and Inu stayed at the bar, gathering glasses and bottles. She sighed and pushed herself up wishing she was wearing more than a red bikini top and skirt.
"I really should go change...." She mumbled.

Cam spotted the bartender from earlier. He stepped up to the bar. "Hey, did you see the guy I was with? Shorter than me, tan skin, and Jewish?"

_______
Inu glanced up and shook out her wet hair. "Oh, him? He left with Maya about ten minutes ago. If you really wanted to you could catch them. They're only about a block away at best."

"Yeah... I'm not going to cheat him out of a hook up. I'll ugh... wait by the car." Something sticky was on his lips. He wiped it off with a sleeve. Red lipstick. He shook his head.
___________
Inu raised an eyebrow and grabbed a glass off the shelf. "Here." She called, filling the glass with whiskey. "What ever it is thats on your mind, you look like you really want it to be gone. This'll help."

Cam welcomed the glass of whiskey. "Happiness is only temporary," he said more to himself than anyone. He downed half the drink, the heat hitting his throat imminently. It felt good.
_______
"As far as I'm concerned...happiness is just a myth. Just like love and compassion." Inu ran her hand threw the water on the bar and sent it running to the floor.

"I'll drink to that," Cam raised his glass and then downed the rest of the drink. His eyes traveled upwards towards the bartender. "You have a very gloomy outlook on life, I must say."
______________
"From what I can tell, you don't have a much better view of the world either, Tiger." Inu jumped up onto the bar, crossing her legs. "Someone who did wouldn't drink nearly as much whiskey as you do."

"Yeah well, the world looks better through a shot glass." They were words to live by. "And I'm glad I'm so readable."

Maya closed her apartment door with a sigh and tossed her keys onto the stand beside the door. There was a rustle in the kitchen and she rolled her eyes.
"Seth what are you doing in my house?" She asked with a roll of her eyes.
"Yeah, uh, ready to go?"
"Great, now that you have a sex partner, my night is officially complete." Cam stood up from his seat at the bar. He set signed a check and was about to set it on the table, but thought against it and held it to Angel. "Ugh... here. I have no idea how much I drank so... this should cover it."
He turned and followed Tony out the club.
"What was that about?" Tony asked, a smile still planted on his tanned face. Cam simply shook his head.
"It's open!" The door opened and slammed shut and Maya walked in dressed in a pair of bootcut jeans and black t-shirt. "Well don't you look casual." Inu commented. Maya pulled up a chair and Tallon got her some coffee. "Plans today?" Inu asked, arching an eyebrow. Maya blushed and nodded her head.
"Actually yes. I have a lunch date....with Tony." Tallon turned.
"That guy from the club last night." Maya nodded her head. "Not bad. What's Seth think about this?"
"I haven't told him." Maya admitted. "And I don't plan on it either...you know how he gets."
"Uh, lasagna! Koko wanted me to bring some over for you."
Cam turned around and walked to the living room, leaving the door open so Brian could follow. Cam slouched on the couch and Brian watched him, his arms crossed. "You have to work tonight?"
"You bet."
"Be careful..."
"Thanks."
Brian let himself back out the front door. Cam had a feeling that Koko had sent him over. It was her idea of 'helping' him. She must not understand that he loved his solitude.
"I don't know. Maybe I'll go shopping. Maybe I'll go on a nature walk. Maybe I'll go find some cute guy and hook up. The possibilities are endless Tallon piled her lavender hair onto her head and tied it back quickly.
"I think I might clean today."
"Ooooh so exciting."
"Phil?"
"Hey!" Phil sat up straight. "So, where're you going. Hope you don't mind if I tag along."
"Shhhh! You'll break my concentration." Inu rolled her eyes.
"Maya, shouldn't you be getting ready for your date?" Maya looked down at herself.
"I am ready." She said. Inu's brow wrinkled.
"That's what you're wearing?"
"Yes, Inu, this is what I'm wearing out to lunch. It's LUNCH not a night on the town." Inu laughed.
"Touche."
"Why?" Phil asked.
"Because... I'm meeting someone."
Tony stopped the car in front of a burger place. "I'll pick you up around 2. Stay here!"
"Where are you going?" Tallon asked. Inu shrugged.
"Out." She said, opening the door. "You know me, Tal, I can't stay cooped up for long...not even in my own apartment. Good luck Maya. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" She closed the door behind her, Maya's laughter trailing after her down the hall.
