Personality: Despite having a seemingly playful, cheerful and childish personality on the outside, Abel is violent, he takes a don’t-get-in-my-way style of leadership, where his only concern is the task at hand, which is evidently fulfilling his desire for revenge, no matter the cost. The ends don’t justify the means, but he doesn’t seem to care, and uses every death of a Seeker to blackmail the rest of his team into caring enough to continue on. He’s corrupt and somewhat sociopathic, slightly narcissistic and most definitely unfit to lead. The innocence of his personality masks the danger of his nature, so while he may be all smiles, there are daggers within each and every one. He's not afraid to punish his troops, quite the contrary actually, and uses a large amount of force to keep his soldiers in line. Small transgressions are punished severely.
History: Growing up poor had a lot to do with Abel’s future lifestyle and personality. The streets he lived on shaped and hardened him from a young age, where he learned that violence usually solved all his problems, and if he could plan out something properly, he could take his family into the higher standard of life. However, his plan, set to run and win, was foiled by the arrival of the virus, where he focused most his energy caring for his sick father. His father was among one of the first to die after the evolution of the virus, however Abel didn't get sick.
He was 'fortunate' enough to meet several of the Birds, and learned they were running instead of using their immunity to help those who were dying. This set a permanent vendetta in Abel’s mind, where he believed that those that were immune could’ve prevented his father’s unfortunate fate. Despite him being immune, he refuses to acknowledge that he too, could've submitted himself to be tested on, and instead uses it for his gain, being able to interrogate the sick without falling ill himself.
Extra: Abel has an unshakeable Southern Irish accent, and can speak German. Just behind his right ear, he has a wolf silhouette tattooed in black ink, similar to the one on the informations page, whose tail curls around to frame the bottom of his ear. He also has this splendid cockatoo named Tori, whom he found when investigating a possible Bird location. To him, Tori symbolizes that he was made to find the Birds, just like he found her.
