The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
Rourke held Emily close to his chest, taking in everything about her. Her hair, her eyes, the softness of her skin, the faint lingering smell of flowers in her hair. Everything. He hoped time would cease so that he could enjoy this moment as long as he could. "Dear heart, I'm so glad I knocked on your door not too long ago." He kissed the nape of her neck and looked into her eyes. "I'm the luckiest man in the world. I'll always be here to warm you. Forever." He held her close, playing with her hair as he stared into the dancing flames of the stove.

Rourke stirred beneath the sheet, stretching like a cat in the early morning chill. Scratching his head, she began to sit up but then realized that his right arm was pinned by something soft and warm. He looked down and saw the sleeping form of Emily, and vaguely remembered bits and pieces of the previous night. However, the thoughts that did remain warmed him up again more than the fire of the previous night. He curled around her, just watching the rhythmic rise and fall of her chest before whispering in her ear.
"Good morning, love. Sleep well?"

-Hours Later-
Emily was laying on her back, feeling warmer than ever, almost hot in her dress. She hadn't taken it off because of the chilly air, and just not wanting to. She sighed, feeling toasty, and had a slight loss of her breath. She wasn't panting, but wasn't breathing normally. Emily turned on her side, and faced her lover, who was still very handsome.

She then shook her head, and sighed. "What are you thinking about, Mr. Serious?" She turned back on her side, facing him again.

"What are you thinking about, Mr. Serious?"
"Hmm?" Rourke looked over at Emily. "Just the future. How it's going to change, what it'll be like." He placed one of his hands on her stomach. "What our children might look like." He smiled, imagining the possibilities.
