Kaoru is the youngest child of Yasu and Rin Furusawa. His family has lived in Hamasaki for nearly as long as anyone can remember, and just as long they've been running their beautiful little floral shop. Kaoru, being the youngest, has three elder siblings too put up with; all seemingly more loud and outgoing than he is. Outside of working in the shop, Kaoru often does volunteer or charity work, and is regularly keeping up with the towns activities and helping out neighbours.

Kaoru is the youngest child of Yasu and Rin Furusawa. His family has lived in Hamasaki for nearly as long as anyone can remember, and just as long they've been running their beautiful little floral shop. There's many things to say about Kaoru; like how he's short compared to the rest of his siblings, or how he tends to drag his feet, or the fact that his face always seems to look expressionless, but the Number One most noticeable thing is his hair. His mother hates it and his father is frequently telling him to get it cut, but Kaoru lets it remain as it is. It's a regular brown, a shade that's seen far too often, and it's styled in the laziest way imaginable.

Green eyes tends to be a recurring feature for Furusawa's, so Kaoru has never seen his own as anything special. Often they can only just barely be seen through the awful excuse of bangs that he's currently sporting.

Thanks to his siblings constant gloating, Kaoru is positive that he's just barely 170cm tall, which is about less 5'7". He weight is 57kg, or 126lbs, and by no means is he the most athletic person in Hamasaki. Still, Kaoru is the shortstop on his schools baseball team, which helps to keep him in shape (though his poor of stamina would argue on that).

But on the inside, he's... well, he's more or less the same. Admittedly sometimes, more often than he would like, he wishes that that were different.
Out of all the people in his family, Kaoru relates most to his grandmother. They share a common love for the peace and quiet, food, sleep, and personal space. Though unlike Yuina, Kaoru is rather strict when it comes to people invading his own little personal bubble. With a serious tone and no shame he'll often remind people to not come too close to it.
Unfortunately, Kaoru isn't the most skilled when it comes to making newcomers feel welcome. There's many reasons why he doesn't work at the checkout of his familys floral shop, and the biggest is that he unintentionally finds himself coming across as uninterested and distant. It's his face, really. If he isn't making a conscious effort to express his emotions, Kaoru will be left with having a constant deadpan expression that tends to put people off. He wishes he lived somewhere other than Hamasaki, where people didn't know him well and he didn't have to monitor how he presented himself so much.

-Easily stressed || Kaoru finds many things to be overwhelming, such as being around too many people or having to answer phones. It's mundane things that stress him out and give him anxiety, and he doesn't like to bring attention to it.
-Asthma || It's not nearly as bad as it was when he was little, but Kaoru is still forced by his mother to bring his inhaler with him wherever he goes. Sometimes it's bad, other times he hardly notices it.
-Expressions || Looking emotionless 24/7 is good for no one. He's been putting in more of an effort to smile more, though.

HISTORY
Yasu and Rin Furusawa were both born and raised in the little beach town of Hamasaki. They were childhood sweethearts at first, then sometime during their school years they became lovers, and it was no surprise to anyone when they announced their engagement a few months after their graduation. Neither of them had ever really planned to leave Hamasaki anyway, as both their family roots went far back into the towns history, and they both agreed that it was the perfect place to start a family.
Sho, their eldest son, was born only a year after Yasu inherited his fathers floral shop. Two years after that came their second son, Ryouichi, and a year later arrived their daughter, Hiroko. A family of five sounded like enough to most people in Hamasaki, especially when that family was being supported solely by a small business, but no more than two years later did Rin announce pregnancy once again.
Kaoru's birth was one of the worst times for the Furusawa family, though it was to no fault of anyone. He had been born too early out of emergency, and for many weeks as he was in the hospitals care Yasu and Rin feared that they would lose him. He made it out alright, though sometimes Yasu jokes that he may have turned out to be taller had things gone smoothly.
All throughout his early childhood Kaoru had a passion for all things active. He'd chase after his siblings whenever they went out to play games, always wanting to be part of the fun, and it took ages for Rin to convince him to stop climbing the trees in the backyard. When Sho and Ryouichi joined martial arts, Yasu figured that it would be a good idea to sign Kaoru up for classes, too. Unfortunately it turned out to be a not-so-good decision.
Looking back on the incident now, what had happened wasn't anyone's fault. At the age of eight Kaoru had barely shown any obvious signs of having asthma, though joining martial arts changed that. Every day it seemed like he was out of breath, always getting tired. Yasu dismissed it as him simply not being used to all the exercise, but one particular day after class Kaoru couldn't breathe at all. He doesn't remember much else from that day aside from the horror of feeling as if he were drowning, but it's a memory that won't soon leave him.
