"Time?" She huffed, almost laughing, her darker side taking over. "I don't know you, and you can go to hell, live the life I lived and it'll scar you for life, because I doubt you'll last for more than a day." She didn't care that she was here, with nowhere to go. Maybe if she gave it time, she would find herself back 'home'. What a lie. It was nowhere she would ever truly wished to be.
She started walking, steps thundering as she pushed past the crowd. The noise, the lights, they were all too much for her. Soon, Natalia found a quiet spot and took a seat on a bench. She hated everything. The day, the people around her, the clothes she wore, his words. Natalia quickly pushed the boy away, the anger focusing on something that accordion to her, had more value for her emotions. The Prince. He did not deserve the Heavens. But then again, neither did she, for the things she did in her short lifetime. In the bench, her forehead rested on he hands as her eyes closed. The days she drank until she no longer felt. How she would kill for a bottle of liquor. That's what she hated and feared the most, her emotions, because like the anger she now felt, they made her blind of the truth and took every bit of commonsense out of her mind.
That didn't mean that she didn't think she was right. Ofcourse she did, and she had given and ended her childhood with the marriage she had been set up to. Oh, how much she longed for her secret bottle of Europe's finest wine to drink away.
As Andre parked the car into the garage, Andre had no emotion, there was not even a smile nor a smirk on his face. He simply walked up to the bathroom and took a long shower. The shower felt good, it relaxed his worries away as he calmed himself down. Andre brushed his teeth soon after and he stared at the reflection from the mirror. With no emotion, Andre broke the mirror with a strong punch. The shard of glass dug deep into his skin. Andre then got the first aid kit out and he then proceeded to wrap his bloodied hand with gauze. Andre then fell on the mattress and began to sleep until he heard the door creak open....
Time passed by slowly and she soon calmed down. A man had approached her and sat beside her quietly on the other side of the bench. He seemed around her age, if not a few years older. They exchanged nods, but it was not a friendly gesture, but rather he had seemed to be asking for her approval to take the seat.
To think about it, she could just report herself to the authorities for help. She wasn't going to run back with tears in her eyes, she was a Princess, and a princess has to stay strong in the worst of times for her kingdom.
But she hadn't. She had let herself fall into a habit of drinking her days away and she knew it well. But she didn't regret it. Her parents had pleaded more than once to stop that terrible habit. The prince only laughed it off and his parents frowned upon then. And she had brought the worst of times to the kingdom she had taken responsibility of.
Under her breath, she silently cursed at herself, hating how the memories kept coming back. Would they ever leave her? With time, she we sure.
A small kitten walked into Andre's Villa, it seemed like a stray kitten, Andre awoke seeing the small kitten purring besides him. He smiled at the kitten and took care of it before falling back to sleep. The kitten seemed to like the villa, it knew when to be playful and when to not be playful in certain situations
Although, Andre tried to get himself sleep, he couldn't because he was worried about Natalia, He shouldn't have left her all alone, he patted the kitten and told it to wait for him when he gets back with Natalia. The kitten didn't know who she was but he at least replied with a small purr.
As Andre got into his car, he started it up and drove off into the night.
Andre parked his car near a curb and Andre got out of the car, seeing Natalia sitting with a man around his age. "Hey, how's it going" Andre said to Natalia. He decided to play it casual but he still was worried about Natalia...
When Andre spoke, her head turned to find him standing a few feet a part. She frowned. Obviously, she hadn't forgotten their previous conversations. She was the type to easily hold onto grudges, but you couldn't blame her for being that way, she had her logic behind everything.
Natalia nodded in small acknowledgement and the man smiled slightly. "Well, I better get going," He spoke, rising from his seat. He handed the girl a small piece of paper, "It'll be nice to be able to talk again." As Natalia took the paper, he started walking away. Looking down at the small, white object, she noticed a weird series of numbers. Her nose wrinkled slightly as she muttered, "What's this?" Maybe a code? To what though?
The girl sighed, looking back up at Andre. She didn't give him any time before her voice rose in between them. "First of all, if this is all that crap about love and the way I think, because I did not sell two years of my life to start a new one and let someone hunk they can push me around and manipulate me all over again. Love?" She huffed, laughing, "Im sorry to break it to you, by sadly this is not the perfect fairytale everyone wishes to have, because where was my Knight in shining armor when I needed him? Right, nowhere in sight!" her voice ended low, but firm. "Na last of all, if this is another of your little scenes where you leave me, just walk away, I'm better off knowing hat no one will come after me."
"You're right, I'm not a knight in shining armor, I don't have you as my sword and shield. Where's the protection I needed, It's all gone, Everything is Gone but... that's not true, I don't need shining armor to be a knight, I don't need a cape to be a hero, I don't need beauty and charm to get someone that you loved, I don't need to slay a dragon to get the princess..." Andre said to Natalia
"I used to be a lonely kid at school, I was made fun of a lot, I was so depressed that I tried to kill myself. That didn't work out too well and I'm alive in one piece" Andre said to Natalia
"I used to think that someone should influence the way of thinking, but this moment just shows that, I should have never attempted to change your thinking, I'm sorry" Andre added to Natalia
Andre then shed a tear and he wiped his tear away. "I won't leave, that man that I saw you with earlier, maybe you can be with him, besides, I don't deserve you in any way" Andre said to Natalia in a pessimistic and gloomy tone.
Andre is awaiting for Natalia's response
Natalia didn't want to talk about this anymore, she didn't want to be angry again. "Just forget everything, and I'll do the same thing. Your past is not my business and the way I see life is none of your concern." She couldnt help but shrugg, "Truly, I'm just hungry so I wouldn't mind something to eat." And that her lame way of ending a conversation, but what else could she say?
"Well, let's pretend that this never happened" Andre said to Natalia. Andre was back to his usual cheery self. He was a bit happy even though Natalia was mad moments earlier. "Hey, there's this French Restaurant not far from here, it's on me" Andre said to Natalia. Andre was awaiting for Natalia's response
She thought that was the best thing, to forget about everything, she did not want to loose him. In truth, she needed him. Natalia would get around, someway if she had to, but she needed someone to support her. But not push her down, not argue with her. She needed the friend she never had. Or well, she did, but it was a thing of the past, and the friendship had not ended well for her.
Shooing the thoughts away, she looked around. "Well, we should go, I'm freezing." The temperature had dropped only a few degrees, but her thin clothing made the breeze cut colder.
After a few seconds passed by, Andre came back with two jackets. Andre gave a jacket for Natalia and smiled back. As he was putting on his jacket, Andre let out his hand and said to Natalia "Mademoiselle, may I have your lovely hand, I shall escort you" and he pointed to a nearby building which was the French Restaurant that Andre mentioned earlier.
Andre is still smiling, he seems bubbly but on the inside, its as though that his usual seriousness is dying away second by second
Her palm resting on him as she interwined her fingers with his, a huge comparison of size. Natalia was alost sure that wasn't what he had meant, but she needed something to hold on to or she swore her knees might give up on her. Ashe was tired, but she wasn't going to let that spoil what might be a lovely dinner.
A waiter came out of the restaurant arriving in front of them and said "Hello, welcome, how many?"
Andre then responded "A party of dos, por favor"
The waiter then replied "OK, right this way"
After a time passed by a little, the waiter dropped them off at a table with a beautiful and elegant view outside. The view showed a cascading look over the city. It was brimming with lights and color.
"So, Natalia, what do you think of the view?" Andre said to Natalia
Natalia looked back at the window beside her, the glass giving a clear view of the world outside. She did not often visit places like this, Restaurant, they didn't have it back there. The closest thing to it was the bar, full of old, dirty and drunk men that either had no home or where taking an undeseved break from it. Every plate that was placed on the tables was neat, as if made with the finest of cares, and did it smell so delicious. The mix of scents was not overpowering, it was faint despite, and oddly, with the large amount of foods going around.
Andre didn't say anything because of the waiter's last part of his question. There was an awkward silence between Andre and Natalia and Andre somewhat blushed thinking about Natalia as his girlfriend.
Menus? She didn't know the word for the paper she ha been handed, bit she was still as confused about it even if she would have known. How odd, why would they make them choose? In the castle, it was the head chef that decided the day's meal, sometimes the Kig or Queen but it was not too often.
Natalia waited for the drink to be served into her cup before taking a sip of the strong, rich liquor.
-Hey, sorry about not posing for XII, I don't want to go in between Yamato and Nahla and just be rude-
"I think I'll order some ratatouille" Andre to said to Natalia and Andre poured the wine in the chilled glass. He drank and it felt cool to the taste. The liquor going to his veins felt like shock therapy to his body. He relaxed and maintained his composure. He then turned to Natalia and said to her "What are you going to order?"
She looked around silently. How long would it last until they brought it put? Usually, the food would be served right as they sat, oddly enough, always in the perfect temperature for each of the four royals. She doubted they knew how she liked it here. There were some things, of course, that she missed from her old life "back then".
Urning back to the man across from her, she asked, "So, what do you do for a living?" She didn't want to ask if he was a farmer or something lie that, for she doubted his life was like that.
"Nowadays, I mostly stay home feeling lonely" Andre added with a dark yet humorous chuckle
The waiter came back with a notepad and a pen saying to them "Are you ready to order?"
Andre said to the waiter "Yes, I would like some ratatouille"
The waiter replied with an "OK" and he then turned to Natalia saying to her "And you, ma'am, what would you like to order"
She knew what he meant, about being lonely. It was a living hell. To her, it was a frustration she could not escape, a longing and thirst for something. Perhaps a better company or something to keep her mind off. At times, she would find herself in the stables. Not to go off with stableboy, not always, but rather take one of the finest and most tame stallions out into the countryside. A guard or two would always follow, keeping a distance depending on her orders which was mostly influenced by the mood she held onto that day. She would usually hold up a conversation, many she had started become fond of, caring for them. Thy were all good men, leaving homes and love ones behind to fight for the safety of their kingdom. They would ride on either side of her and talk about their lives. How they first met their wife's to the day of their daughter's first injury to the bloodbaths tha wars brought.
The images they provided her with many times lingered in her mind, the limp bodies, the stained swords. They didn't fight under their decision, they fought under the command of their king, her king. And many died.
Natalia sighed with a sympathetic smile, "I low what you mean."
When the waitress came, she gave a little shrugg, mostly meant to herself and replied the question with the same thing he had ordered.
Andre shook off the broken and shattered memories and decided to rebuild them by spending time with the lovely Natalia. Andre decided to flirt with her a bit. Keeping a bright smile, Andre said to Natalia "I'm glad I'm spending time with you. However, I want it to be an eternity". It was strangely worded and hesitant at the same time. Awaiting for Natalia's response, Andre twiddled his thumbs for a bit

Natalia played with her glass, pretending to be super curious about it. She would feel bad to flirt back, to play with him. "Eternity's an awefully long time," she responded quietly, no anger, nothing that hinted that she was angry. She just stated it.
The waiter arrived with their ratatouille(s) and served it to them. It was plated beautifully and the food aerated a flavorful aroma. The vegetables were neatly arranged into geometric layers forming a circle. Sipping some of his wine from his glass, he sat up straight and began to eat his food. It was quite exquisite and he savored every last bit of his food. Soon, after finishing his food, Andre said to Natalia on a questioning tone while keeping a tight lipped smile, "Well, since you're a princess, what was your average day at that time?"
The person you would least expect and trust most might just end up being the one that stabs a knife to your heart. There was treachery, hatred and war. Since young she had been well aware of that, and never once had she tried to change it before her marriage.
"My life?" Her voice came out soft, almost helpless, and the moment she heard it, she mentally kicked herself for it. Clearing her throat slightly, she said in a much firmer voice, a small hint of anger rising, even though she didn't mean it,"If trying to get drunk counts, that would be my lovely day in the life of a princess." She wasn't going into anymore details, it was none of his concern and nothing tha she would bother or wish to remember.
She didn't want to disappoint him or anythig like that, but she was truly tired. Her eyes lingered on him for a few more seconds before she turned her attention somewhere else, out to the window this time, where up in the sky, despite the lack of clouds, barely no stars shone, yet the city under with it's bright lights was just enough to make up for it. She wondered how different would it be if she had been born this time. Life here, now, seemed just so much pleasent. Atleast where she was, there was no sight of poor, unlike back in the kingdoms. There, anything below royalty was well, average. No, below average. She had always hated that, in a way. But without poor, there was no rich, and she certainly just didn't see herself living a low, moneyless life.
She turned back to him, her lips parting as if she was going to say something, but it never came out. So she coded her mouth shut and smiled weakly, for all goodness sake, she hoped she hadn't hurt his feelings in anyway.
Without thinking, one of her hands met his. Squeezing softly, just enough, she whispered, "Thank you for everything, Andre."
