Sillivren Wren

A Young Bosmer Archer tired of working the Riften Fishery

0 · 466 views · located in Skyrim

a character in “TESV: Skyrim: The Thalmor Conspiracy”, as played by CalmInsolence

Description

Physical Description:
Sillivren appears like your average Bosmer, tanned skin and deep auburn hair hanging in a braid down her back. She bears no face paint, unaware of the cultural significance of such things amongst her people and only her hands bear the scars of her archery. She tends to wrap herself in light deerskin leathers with long sleeves and archer's bracers, her clothing loose about her torso and tight upon her arms. Her trousers are plain and earth colored, like the rest of her clothing, and she wears a hood nearly always. Her boots are well made with a thick sole of layered leather, the boots of one nearly always on the road. Upon her hip rests a faded satchel filled with the odd seashell, flower, or bit of interesting rock. A plain quiver is strapped over one shoulder with a flap over the top to disguise her more expensive than normal steel arrows. Her bow, when not in her hands, hangs over her shoulder, a well used and much loved elven bow passed from one hand to the next. About her throat on a leather cord are several small symbols of Azura, Mara, and Arkay.

Personality:
Sillivren is quiet and observant having much experience with dealing with testy persons in Riften. She would much rather watch a person and know what she is dealing with rather than broach conversation and risk causing offense. She holds a special love of nature and given the opportunity will be the first up a tree to observe some local insect or bird up close. However, she us arachnophobic due to a very unfortunate confrontation with a wicked illusionist coming through Riften when she was but a small girl. The man thought his antics humorous, the elf nearly drowned in the canal trying to escape the terrifying vision. In addition to arachnophobia, she is a bit leery of mages too for obvious reasons.

Equipment and Abilities:
Sillivren carries an elven bow and has some skill with archery due to both her racial heritage and training as a caravan guard. She is quiet on her feet, a natural talent that brings her some private amusement as likes to stand quietly and observe unseen. She has a loose view on what is lawful and has a decent knack with a lockpick. She will claim, if questioned, it served her for legal purposes plenty of times because her fishery key was always wandering off. She has little patience for magic and short of a single restorative spell, has not given it any time or effort. She wears light leathers for protection with a thin tunic and trousers beneath. She carries a satchel of odds and ends and can live off the land for whatever foodstuffs she requires.

History.
Sillivren Wren grew up in Riften after being evacuated from Valenwood during one of the Thalmer purges. She has no memory of her jungle birthplace and was raised by a series of generous Bosmer families that worked or drifted through Riften. She considered the thieves guild as her only possible employment until a Dunmar suggested she try the fishery. She worked there for some successful years before a suspicious fire took out a third of the nets. Ethnic strife being what it is, the blame was split between her and a new Dunmer and both were let go. Without coinage or family, the Bosmer took the roads of Skyrim to learn a new life as an itinerant trade wagon guard. Her travels have brought her to Solitude along with a shipment of fabric bolts and loose wool for Radiant Rainment when she came across a flyer which lead her as far as the Winking Skeever where she sits trying to puzzle out the rest between bites of a "found" sweet bun.

Listening to Silgvar as he spoke and was unable to understand the letter, Valia cursed herself in her mind due to the fact that she wrote it to make it difficult but it ended up being too difficult. Of course, she did not want the Thalmor to understand it and that is exactly what she got as the Bosmer at the other table was the only one who had gotten it so far. Keeping her eyes locked down on the flier, with her eyes following each portion that he was saying, she shook her head and slowly pointed to the word guard. "I do not think guard is too difficult. This riddle brought you here, to the Winking Skeever, and..." As she spoke, she spun herself around on the stool and looked around the bar causing her voice to fade out a bit with her eyes drunkenly moving from person to person before looking back to Silgvar. "I seem to be the only guard here." Realizing that she had almost given away that she was the contact, she pushed herself to spin back to the counter and shook her head drastically as she stared back at him. "But I am not the guard in this riddle." Her voice was very stern but it was obvious that she gave away being the person that he needed to contact.

Closing her eyes for a moment, as she knew she screwed up, she took another drink of the water in the glass in front of her but opened her eyes back up with them moving to the flier in front of him, pretending she did not imply that she was the guard of the riddle. Reading the riddle all the way through, again, despite not needing to, she let her eyes scan over each of the words as they began blurring together due to her drunkenness causing her to rub her eyes with both of her hands, lowering her hands from her eyes as she heard the bartender sliding a key across the bar and over to her. "I suppose I am not to walk home in this state...?" She questioned to the bartender to see him nodding in response before reaching down into her pouch to pull out some septims to pay for the room with.

After paying the bartender, she looked back to Silgvar but looked almost immediately back to the flier, speaking up quite quickly as if it was unrealistic for her to have read the flier so fast. "What do you think 'read One line" means?" Emphasizing the 'one' as she spoke, she looked away from the flier and over to Silgvar with a false confused expression upon her face. It was likely obvious, by then, for Silgvar to know she wrote the riddle or, at least, knew who did.
