Appearance:[/I]
Calypso is gifted with a generous amount of long, natural auburn-hued hair that, when touched, feels like it is made of silk. Typically, Calypso will leave her hair down due to it's length and texture (also due to the fact she's quite lazy when it comes to its style) but every so often, she will put forth the effort to pile the mane into a ponytail. After several months of letting it grow out, the fiery waterfall fall to the midpoint of her chest, some strands longer than others. Usually, the long tendrils will have a slight wave to them which frames her face nicely and gives off the impression of her ethereal beauty belonging to some type of mystical being. Her bangs are styled in such a way that they sweep to one side (usually the left).
Her eyes are large light blue-green orbs that many say remind them of a cat. In her opinion, those eyes are her best quality due to the nice contrast they provide with her porcelain skin, full light pink lips, and oddly yet beautifully colored hair. She also has a tendency to day dream more often than others, zoning out randomly sometimes. When she drifts off, one can easily tell by her lower eyelids and the slight frown on her lips, almost making it look as if she was sleeping. It is also noticeable that Calypso's light-hued eyes turn a darker shade, almost dark green, when she becomes angry.
As for her body goes, the young lady possess a very slender, delicate form with surprisingly sensual curves and a well-endowed bust (though she isn't one to flaunt it). Her frame is quite feminine and petite with a nipped waist, not an ounce of fat to be found anywhere. With high cheek bones, delicate jaw-line, large eyes, and flawless skin; Calyspo is the embodiment of a nymph.
Her costume, a belly dancing outfit, is what she wears when she performs.

Personality:
To outsiders, Calypso may appear to project an aura of "definiteness", of self-confidence. This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge of the world and how she was treated as a child. When it comes to her own areas of expertise -- and trust me, Calypso has several -- she will be able to tell you almost immediately everything about that certain topic, to the extent of being ridiculously precise. Yet, despite this fountain of knowledge in her, Calypso knows this important rule; She knows what she knows, and more importantly, she knows what she doesn't know.
Another strong key point in what makes Calypso is that she loves to "improve", a seemingly endless capacity for upgrading anything that takes her interest. Never before has anyone ever laid eyes upon a human being so fascinated on fixing objects around them, nor has any human being met another with as big as a will as she has. Once Calypso has decided on something; her mind will never be changed. No. Matter. What. Even if she is forced to do something, she'll never bend her morals or principles to suit the other person, and will often be found retaliating in every manner possible.
Of course, those are all surface qualities. Once you get to know Calypso, there is truly only one word that can sum up her very existence ; eccentric. She's almost always a bubbly, energetic girl that can make even the most depressed person crack a smile as well as laugh and can quickly make people fall under her charm through a couple of sweet smiles. On the note of other people: Calypso is always striving to welcome new members or visitors to the circus as well making all of her friends comfortable during their stay. Often considered the counselor, Calypso can, more often than not, be found listening to people's problems and offering encouragement or advise as best she can, cheering others up when stricken with sadness, or generally trying to keep the establishment a welcoming and happy home.
On the note of personal relationships, Calypso is what is known as a flirt. She loves to play the idea of not having to be faithful to a particular person, always being able to be free of the worry of making her "partner" angry.
History:
Calypso was born into a somewhat... unstable union. Her father was from England, a man who was both a famous musician and a concert pianist. Due to his diverse knowledge of languages, he often ended up traveling the world on tour, giving concerts in many different countries. Eventually, he settled down in France where he married a native woman, someone of Gypsy descent. Madly in love with each other, the famous musician retired for a few months in order to spend time with his blushing bride. Unfortunately, within the year, his profession beckoned to him and soon, he took up the concert performances once more. At first, their relationship was fairly stable, but after the birth of Evelyn, everything crumbled. The father would have his daughter by his side during these trips...and because of this, his wife began to grow bitter and distant. When both parents finally were at home during the same time, Evelyn found that neither would talk to the other., that they would always stay in separate bedrooms. Furthermore, the mother felt that her daughter had betrayed her by going off with her husband.. this led to large ignorance on her mother's part. Eventually, her parents divorced when Evelyn was still very young, and, although her father got custody, her mother got most of the physical assets.
Evelyn ended up living with her father, shuffling from place to place and, more likely than not, from country to country. Just when they'd settle down in one place, they'd pack up and move to another, causing her relationships with others to be nonexistent. It wasn't that she didn't love her father - quite the contrary. He was a kind, wonderful man who spared no expense to please his daughter - but whenever she made friends, she'd find them taken from her all too quickly. It was something Evelyn couldn't easily cope with. Being a sociable girl who loved to talk and play with other people, having no constant companions was a crippling blow to her.
At age 11, however, Evelyn's life took a turn for the worse. Her father unexpectedly died during a plane crash, and the grief-stricken girl found herself suddenly halfway across the world back and back into the custody of her mother. Her mother, after all of these years, still wanted very little to do with her after all this time. Assuming a very strict, hostile demeanor, her mother called Evelyn out on every single inadequacy she perceived, breaking the girl's self-esteem. Then, finally, forced her daughter into the grueling and back-breaking work known as belly-dancing, claiming it was to preserve their Gypsy roots. Soon, she began badgering Evelyn to improve her dance.. of course, the girl complied seeing as she just wanted to earn her mother's approval and respect.
Then it happened, at the age of 18, that Evelyn's life changed. A circus came to their hometown, the ticket to Evelyn's freedom. Her mother, not able to resist the colorful flyers, finally agreed to take her daughter. Immediately, Evelyn was dazzled, amazed with the freedom and laughter that the circus provided.. in fact, she enjoyed it so much that she didn't want to leave. It was that night, after their visit to the show, that the belly-dancer fled. Her mother, more than relieved the nuisance was erased, never sent for police to track down the runaway and Evelyn was accepted into the circus life. As a showgirl, her birth name was erased and replaced with Calypso, a Greek nymph who was quite known for bewitching people. And that's just what Calypso's dancing does; bewitch and mesmerize.
