She nodded and sighed "i come here a few times to watch dancing performances but never went to school here" she shut the gate and hooked the chain back up making it look like it had not been touched. She walked back over to him sighing "it was such a beautiful school they had ivy covered walls that were trimmed to look nice a garden walk. They had some of the best people working here and the best shows." she sighed and shook her head "then when the war started everyone pulled there children out and it closed i dought it will ever get opened again"

Jeremiah stuffed his hands into his pockets and casually walked beside her down the halls of the school. It was a sad sight when a house of education became crippled to such a degree. Unlike his father, Jeremiah wished for everyone to be able to reach the vast intellects of their minds like he had been gifted to do. After all, it was with knowledge that came power. Perhaps if the people of their kingdoms were not so ignorant, the war would have never occurred in the first place.

"You said that they preformed productions here?" he said, looking up and down the hall. At last his eyes wandered to a set of double doors at the end of the hall. Without waiting for a response, he strolled inside the great entrance into a large auditorium. With a huff of satisfaction, he paused to take everything in. It was a beautiful sight and he could only imagine what it looked like in bloom. "If they left in a hurry, there may be some left over costumes that we can change into. It would be good to get out of these wet clothes."

She looked out at the auditorium the seats and the stage. The stage was still set up for their last play. She walked down the isles and to the stairs leading to the stage. She looked behind the curtain and noticed the costume door was open. "there last play was one on the war that has been going on so they should have some clothing that looks like normal cloths" she smiled slightly and disappeared behind the curtain and out of sight. She walked into he costume room looking around at old costumes and newer ones. At the props that never got used and the dust and cobwebs. she brushed away the cobwebs and looked at the old wardrobe full of costumes. She waited for Jeremiah to catch up not wanting to leave him to far behind. This would make the perfect place to hide and jump out at him and scare him. She looked over and noticed a laptop bag that had been left behind. She walked over picking it up and opening it. It was a good laptops with a charger it looked like it had not been used much it was probably for storing music and play lines.

Jeremiah wandered on stage before joining Diana in the back room. He has always been fascinated by productions such as this. These were the only times that a mirror could be held up to the value of life. It was always interesting to see the actor's and director's view of a situation and compare how it differed from his own. Not wanting to worry Diana with his absence, Jeremiah followed her direction to the costume room. He glanced around for a moment, allowing his eyes to adjust to the dim light, and then spotted her in the corner. "What's that you have there?" he asked, strolling up beside her. He looked at the laptop in interest, wondering why it was left behind. Huffing in disinterest, he began to weed through the clothing until finding an outfit that would not look too ridicules on him. "I'll let you change before me. Like I always said, ladies first," he said with a playful grin.

She shook her head grabbing the lap top and walking out of the room her mind was somewhere else to occupied to care about wet clothing. "no you go ahead i mean it is age before beauty right" She slipped out of the room and went and sat in a chair turning it on. It took a few minutes but after a while the computer turned on. She smiled when she saw it had an internet connection from one of the gas station near the school. She would finally be able to see what all was going on in the news without being out in the streets. She got onto the internet and surfed to the main news sights and her eyes widened with what she saw. The story was that Jeremiah had kidnapped her and ran to hide with the rebellion army of his kingdom. She decided to look threw the not so headline news in smaller news groups there were so many stories leaking out about different things. She finally found one that had stated that maybe he had not kidnapped her but had rescued her from her father. She read more into the article and it was sent in by one of the servants in her fathers house. She sighed knowing the girl would get in trouble for it but she was glad that not everyone thought he was the bad guy. She got up carrying it with her and knocked on the door. "Her Jeremiah there are two stories on the web of what happened and its what the political people like our parents and the the commoners their are two different stories one you kidnapping me and joining the rebellion and the other you rescuing me from my father" She laughed softly "so either you are a villain or a hero"

Jeremiah tugged a fresh (but slightly dusty) T-shirt over his head and chuckled at her announcement. Typical politics, really. The truth was probably not interesting enough for the masses, so the wild story of Diana's kidnap was likely to catch more eyes, but it was good to know that not everyone believed the poison that was being feed to them by the kings. Hanging his wet clothes on the empty hanger, he opened the door to allow Diana entrance as he was once again dressed. "So, how does it feel to be in the presence of your kidnapper," he joked, towering over her . "Or would you be more interesting in the heroic prince version," he said, sweeping her off her feet and into his arms while laughing as he played out Disney's most touching moments.

When she went to step inside he had swept her up into his arms. she laughed softly as his shirt was getting wet again. "ok prince charming are you trying to get yourself soaked again?" She looked at him and smiled. she still needed to change into something dry before she got any colder. Her skin felt like an ice-cycle from the wet clothing and the cold air. her hair had finally dried and a bruise was starting to show on her cheek. "so either your prince charming or you are the nicest kidnapper i have ever meet" she smiled and in a very joking voice "oh no help me help me?" she laughed slightly. She wondered if maybe running away had made them closer. she thought on it for a few moments then just shrugged it aside. "so what are we going to do Mr. Prince" She smirked.

Jeremiah smiled down to her and laughed when she joked about him helping her. As he looked into her eyes, Jeremiah paused and then set her down abruptly, but softly enough that his fleeing from the situation was almost unnoticeable. My how the times have changed, he thought to himself.

Rubbing his chin, Jeremiah turned his back on her and began to pace. "We should probably stay here the night, let the guards get a head start and then follow them from behind. At least the building is dry, and from the looks of things, we won't be bothered." He sighed and turned back toward her. "Diana, please won't you change? It won't make this any easier if you catch a cold."

she nodded walking back into the dressing room softly closing the door behind her. She walked to the racks and searched threw them looking for something her size. She finally found a simple yellow sundress in her size. She pulled her shirt and her jacket off putting them on hangers to put them up by his. She left her jeans on as she did this cause it was cold in the room. She had left the door slightly open but did not notice. She walked over to look at the dress checking one more time to see if it was in her size.

Jeremiah whistled to himself as he waited for Diana to finish changing. Bored and not sure what to do with himself, he began to investigate the props left behind from the last production. His eyes wandered to a porcelain doll set in the corner. Curious, he picked it up to see if his first assumption was right. The doll appeared to be the same one that Jeremiah had accidentally broken one summer. It had been Diana's favorite and caused one of their biggest fights ever. When Jeremiah tried to patch it together, he had been unable to find one of the eyes and used a red marble. When he presented the fixed (in his mind) zombie looking doll, it had only managed to enrage Diana even more.

Excited by his finding, Jeremiah snatched the doll and went to find Diana. Distracted by the perfect condition of the doll, he forgot what was happening behind the closed door. "Hey Diana, look what---"

Jeremiah froze upon looking up at her, his eyes widening in surprise at the sight. Rather than looking away quickly, he simply stared at her for a few moments, his teenaged mind trying to compute what was happening. At last the mental connection struck as his cheeks flashed crimson. Slapping his hand across his eyes he mumbled, "Oh god, sorry. I didn't mean anything," as he tried to back out the room. Without his sight, Jeremiah only managed to trip over a box and landed with a thud.

Her body was blemish free and almost perfect looking if it was not for the bruises on her side and along her legs. Her curves hit all the right places and in the dim light her skin had a soft glow to it. She Had scars on her back that looked like they were a few years old but there were still a few that were newer then the others.

She heard him look in when he came in and she turned around then screamed slightly and ducked behind the clothing rack as quick as she could. she blushed dark looking down. She heard the crashing of his fall she pulled a jacket on and ran over to help him up. "Jeremiah a are you ok?" She looked at him worried then looked around at all the damage that had been done on when he tried to escape the room without looking. She laughed softly normally she was always the clumsy one. She looked at him biting her lower lip softly. "you ok?" She tried to see if he was injured. She noticed the doll and her eyes widened slightly.

"Uhhhhh," Jeremiah managed to mumbled has he scooted away from her, his hand still plastered over his eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine." Slowly he dropped his hand and looked up at her after he checked that she was decent. Still, he could not get the image of her out of his mind. Not that he did not like it, but it was inappropriate for their... situation. And Jeremiah was an honest man. "Oh god, sorry about that," he groaned while standing up. "You must think I'm a total pig. Oh, I wanted to show you this," he said, suddenly remembering the doll. "I thought it was the same one that you had before I... you know, broke it." Jeremiah laughed nervously. This was not his day.

She looked at it and smiled "y yeah its the same as before but were did you find it?" she looked at him her smile widened. Then she looked down slightly "and um not it was an accident right not like you did it on purpose" She blushed softly and looked away standing up. she walked to the other side of the room to finish putting the stuff away. She was glad she had put a jacket on she was warm again it felt nice but her skin was still cold and slightly wet. She looked back over at him to see if he was alright.

Jeremiah blushed softly and chuckled nervously. "Yeah, it was an accident. Both things. The doll and...." he coughed, unable to finish the thought. "I know you didn't believe me at the time, but I didn't mean to break it. I saw that one over there in the trunk and thought that maybe I could make it up to you. Guess things didn't go quite as planned. Sorry." He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.  "Are you still cold? Maybe the kitchen still works and we could turn the stoves on."

"thanks and i forgive that event i was not in a good mood that week anyway that just gave me something to point it at" She sighed and looked at him "yeah i am still a ltitle cold but its because my skin is soaked still and the buildings so airy that the cold breezes blow right threw it" she smiled slightly walking back over. She realized that since he saw her bare skin he had to of seen the scars. She blushed softly thinking about it but was happy he had not asked about them. She packed up the lap top then looked around smiled seeing some blankets. "well do we go to the kitchen or stay here"

"Might as well go to the kitchen," Jeremiah replied, following her eyes and bundling the blankets to heave over his shoulder. He frowned slightly, stealing another look at Diana. Those marks on her body... It was unforgivable. No one should be treated like cattle, especially not someone as wonderful as Diana.

Jeremiah paused in thought, a dumb look striking his face. Wonderful? Where did that come from? Only a few weeks ago he would have said that he hated Diana... Right? Right?? He sighed and shook his head out. It's not like it meant anything. He thought Bach was a wonderful musician, but that didn't mean that he... "Let's go," he said, almost fleeing from the room and sounding a bit colder than he anticipated. He paused and then looked around the hall blanking. Scratching the back of his neck, Jeremiah released an awkward chuckle. "Do you have any idea where the kitchen is?"

She watched as he bundled the blankets. she laughed when he walked out the door and realized he had no idea where kitchens were but tried to lead the way. She walked out and tapped his shoulder. "i know were it is come on" She pulled the jacket closer to her cold skin and walked back out to the main hallway. She walked threw the halls finally reaching the kitchen. She pulled out a hair pin and fiddled with the lock for a few seconds finally unlocking it and opening it so they could go threw. "tada here we go kitchen"

She had gone in and started to turn some of the stoves on and then sat down at a table. She was wondering why he had sounded so cold he was also acting a little funny maybe he was still mad at her from everything that happened before but maybe she could be wrong she just didnt know anymore she was confused and a little scared of what would happen if they found them.

Jeremiah followed Diana to the kitchen, his ego slightly broken as he couldn't lead the way. But then again, it wasn't like that really mattered. They were safe, so that was enough for him. Dropping all but one of the blankets, Jeremiah followed her to the table and delicately draped the final blanket over her shoulders. Tough chick or not, he could tell that she was cold. Still, though, he could tell his efforts at comfort did little for the princess as her face was still streaked with worry and confusion. "Hey, it will be all right," he said softly, pulling a chair up next to her and sitting down. "Things may seem tough now, but once this blows over we will be fine, okay?" His sighed softly. Even with a little sister, Jeremiah was not the best comfort device. It was one thing to roughhouse with Lacy, but with Diana? Even so, unsure what else to do, he "brotherly" wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Don't worry, I won't let anyone else hurt you. You're safe as long as I'm around."

She pulled the blanket around tight happy for the warmth. She felt him wrap his arm around her. She blushed softly looking away. "I know and I thank you for helping even thought it was almost suicidal on your part" She laughed softly and looked over at him "well maybe i should go try to turn the stoves on to see about getting more heat in the room" She got up slipping out from under his arm and walked over to the stoves working to get them on. She finally got three of them on after finishing with the stove she made sure the doors and the windows were shut and she stuffed under the door with dish towels so the cold air would not seep in from under the door. "well this should help the room will warm up soon i think"

"Yeah, that will probably help," Jeremiah sighed, awkwardly watching her after she left. Great, you probably just succeeded in freaking her out more, he thought to himself. Unsure what to do, but already feeling the stoves kicking in, he took of the outer sweatshirt that he had found and leaned against the table. Time to kill time. He thought more about their situation as his mind turned back to politics. "Do you even want to be queen?" he questioned before he was able to stop himself.

She walked back over to the table sighing "i am not sure all i dont even know if i would be a good queen all i have ever been taught is to follow orders and be the perfect little doll i am not aloud to have a voice or any thought of my own" she looked down "i dont even know anything of being in charge of a kingdom let alone my own servants" Sighed "sorry this probably seems pathetic to you but i dont know how" She sat back down wrapping up in the blanket again to her it felt weird having this much freedom but then again it was nice to not feel like she was being choked.

Jeremiah smiled at her honesty. "It's all right. You'll figure things out along the way, you're a smart and a pretty tough chick." He chuckled before sighing and resting his head against the table. It felt cool against his hot cheek. He closed his eyes for a moment. There was so much social pressure, everyone telling him what to do. It was fair to him, and it definitely wasn't fair to her. "You could run away from it all," he said without lifting his body up. "From this life, from everything. We are already out, but we would be fools to think this could last forever. But there is a way... I could get it so that you would escape and so they couldn't catch you. Make up some story about how robbers got you... If I returned to the castle alone, they would believe it." He paused to take a deep breath. "You would be free."

She paused for a moment and sighed she could not believe that she was going to say this but it was true. "Yes I would be free but I would lose the only person that ever cared about m life other then a tool" Even though they had their fights and their quarrels he had still always been the one person that never expected her to listen to him to do as he said. "I would lose the only true friend I truly ever had" She looked at him blushing softly she waited a moment then looked away walking over and leaned against the wall by the stove in a warm spot. "I can handle my father and all the other political and social pressure I am just tired of trying to do it alone i feel like a rose stuck in the middle of a clover field..." She looked down she hoped he did not think what she said was to sappy .

Jeremiah remained with his cheek pressed against the table as she spoke, unmoving from his position. As she finished, he smiled to himself as his face was covered by his arms. It was an interesting thought, them not being alone when they were together. Although it was obvious, he had never expected her to be so... Trusting of him. Shaking his head, he rose to look at her. She was always full of surprises, and he never expected that to change, not that he wanted it to. He smiled lazily and leaned against his arm to look at her. It only took eighteen years for them to figure this out. Better late than never, he supposed. "I would never force you into this marriage hanging over our heads, and to be honest I think we are too young for such thoughts, but I would be honored to remain your friend, Diana," he said. "I won't leave you then, for now at least until you find someone better." His sighed and rested against the table again, however. "But I will need to return one day. I can't leave Lacy and Gale alone... They need me."

She smiled softly and looked at him. "Well then we should go and i do not mean in a few days i mean we should go now" she sighed softly. "i thought about it a little and running wont help anything and you can tell by the news it has only made things worse." she smiled "and honestly i have been to much of a wimp when it comes to my father i roll over and play dead like a possum" looked down "and maybe its time to fight media fire with more media fire whats the worst thing that could happen in our fathers eyes" smirked a little "the truth slip out of why we ran away not the dramatic story they gave out"
