The Isles of Escis, a country on the abandoned continent of Itia, and the only truly inhabited place on the continent. On these isles lives a group of people, in an ancient world. To describe these people, I must go into detail of their home land and country. Itia, is a broad and unexplored continent, as it lacks anything needed for human survival. The Escisians tell stories the death and destruction awaiting anyone who dares wander onto the mainland, they tell stories to the children of the strange and few tribes left in the deserts of Itia, to keep them from wandering.
The reality of this, is that nobody lives on the mainland, Itia. So uninhabitable, and killer is it, that long, long ago the Itians fled to the paradise of Escis, and are now almost unable to tell themselves apart from the true Escisians. Other than a thin border along the Northern Sea, which is made up of the same tropical weather, and land found upon the isles, Itia is all desert, and for this reason the Itians have all become Escisians. There may perhaps be a few survivors, whose relatives decided to stay upon Itia.
The Isles of Escis are located in a large bay, named the Bay of Ibianum. The water of the Northern Sea is calm, warm, and a deep blue color. The bay is almost closed at the mouth, keeping the Isles of Escis safe from oceanic storms. The Isles of Escis are a wonder of their own, a rich and fertile ground, perfect for farming, yet full of palm trees, and flowering wonders, and so amazingly green. The Isles in the simplest way to explain them, are tropical.

Hierarchy, and Religion
This is a patriarchal society, one run by the men. The leader is the High Priest, as he is the leader of religion, and within this culture, the government too. The Escisians are polytheistic, believing in many Gods, and Goddess, and have one for almost everything. (Eg. Harvest, ocean, fertility, etc. I will keep a list up here for you, but if one has not been made up for whatever the purpose you need it for, feel free to make one up, and PM them to me, with name and what they are for.)

Hierarchy (Male)
High Priest - Highest position, has the most influence over everyone.
Noblemen - Second highest, the men favored by the High Priest
Merchant - Respectable, just not quite favored
Soldiers - A respectable position, not really good money, but a bit of respect
Peasants - Poor, lowest of the low, etc. Jobs like servants, and sharecroppers.

Female Roles in the Community
Priestesses - Women are the only people other then the High Priest allowed to have a position in religion, but taking these highly coveted roles puts you at the mercy of whatever the High Priest wants
Noblewomen/Merchant's Women - the wives or daughters, and sisters of noblemen or merchants, have typically female roles in wealthy households. They run the house and may amuse themselves with trivial things.
Soldier Women - Run the house, and may perhaps have a servant or two to help with the house.
Peasant Women - Sellers at markets, and other small jobs, such as weavers. Take care of the house by themselves.

Generally Superficial
Skin tones - Tend to be in the range of olive tones to a lighter brown. Though of course it varies.
Hair - Tends to be on the darker range, and pretty straight
Build - Because of nutrition the higher on the social ladder you are, the taller and higher weight/'voluptuousness'
Women wear loose dress/tunic sort of things. Men can wear loin clothes/clothes that'd work with the natural resources. The Escisians crave, and honor all jewelry, especially gold things.
