First and foremost, Jade is a guardian and she acts as such. She's loyal to the people dear to her and very protective of them. She is always attentive to her surroundings and poised to spring into action if needed, but she does a good job of not letting it show on her face. She's determined to carry out the task that was assigned to her perfectly and has no intention on allowing anything or anyone ruin it. She might sound like the overly strict type that doesn't have any fun, but in actuality you wouldn't be able to tell what her hidden purpose is. On the outside she acts just like any of caring parent who's devoted to the well-being of their child. Jade understands that Sage is just a teenager and wants him to have as normal an upbringing as any of teenager, but she knows things might be changing sooner or later.
History-
Jade comes from a long line of guardians so it was only natural for her to follow in their footsteps. Both of her parents took on the job of training her from a young age to take on the role, and they did their best to teach her everything they knew. So, once she was finally ready, she became a bodyguard and not too long afterwards she was given the task of protecting the prince. She was excited to receive such an important mission and there wasn't any hint of fear or hesitation in her when she accepted it. From that moment on she's devoted herself to keeping Sage safe.
