BIRTH/CHILDHOOD/PRESENT:

Ikeda Satoshi was born originally in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to Namimori after high school and

college, due to the recommendation of Hibari Kyoya’s father. They had met in college and both

studied criminology. Satoshi actually studied medicine and secondary education on top of that.

Satoshi’s ancestors were all famous sword makers in Japan, and he inherited that ability to make

amazing weapons. He worked full time in the crime department of Namimori, but then worked part

time as a professor in Namimori High.

Yu Mizumi, originally named Yu Mei Jin, was born in Shanghai to a rich family active in the Vongola’s

main connection in China. She moved to Tokyo for college and met Ikeda and Hibari there. Satoshi

and Mizumi married one year after they got out of college, and Mizumi joined Satoshi in Namimori

after another half year in Tokyo, finishing her job as an amateur hitman. In Namimori, Mizumi

works as a part time flower arranger as well as a researcher alongside Satoshi.

After living in Namimori for twelve years, the couple moved to Beijing because Mizumi’s

grandfather who lived in Beijing has left a large inheritance including a house there. There, Mizumi

gives birth to Ikeda Hana. After five years, the family suddenly decides to move back to Namimori.

The boss/leader situated in Shanghai had told the Ikedas that they were now targets for an

unknown organization. The Ikedas were wanted because they had information, and the parents

decided to take Hana back to Namimori, where they thought they could keep her safe.

However, the day after the Ikedas arrived in Namimori, Satoshi and Mizumi were found dead in the

hotel they were staying in. Hana had been staying in another room, so she didn’t realize anything

until she woke up and came face to face with men in black suits. The Hibari elder had arrived in the

hotel and formally adopted Hana as his own daughter.

One day, while exploring the outskirts of the forest by the mansion, a seven-year-old Hana bumped

into Luka, whom she believes to be a youkai. Seeing that Luka was running away from something,

Hana provided some clothing and food to Luka, who then left, after realizing that Hana was a Hibari.

Growing up in the Hibari mansion, Hana and Kyoya, her cousin, were raised as nobles until the Hibari

elder passed away three years after Hana met Luka. Hana was then taken by the original mafia

organization Mizumi was part of and placed under the care of Fong, who took her to Italy to be

trained. In Italy, Hana met Luka again but didn’t recognize the ten-year-old because the last time

Hana saw Luka, Luka was seventeen. Luka also seemed not to recognize Hana, but they make a good

friendship while their training in the mafia.

While in Italy, a talent agent stumbled upon Hana’s musical ability and started enrolling the

thirteen-year-old into competitions, some of which were won. Seeing Hana’s potential, Luka

immediately took the position of Hana’s manager. Within a year, Hana became famous and was

touring around the world. Since Hana despised crowds, though, she was disguised as Hikari Kira, a

peppy pink-haired girl who never talked but only performed/sang.

It was Luka’s idea to return back to Japan during a tour, where Hana was invited to sing with

another group. Since they were in Namimori, Hana and Luka enrolled in Namimori Middle, where

they met Tsuna and the others after Reborn hunts down Luka for information.

According to the Hibari elder, Kyoya’s father Shigeru had insisted that they adopt Hana

immediately, but he had not posed a valid reason why. Having compassion for Hana, the Hibari elder

agreed. The surprising thing was that Kyoya’s father had brought up this problem a week before

Hana’s parents were killed.

It turns out that Hana’s parents had known that they were going to be killed around the time they

went to Namimori. Satoshi had been keeping contact with Shigeru this whole time, telling Shigeru

about the whole problem at hand. When they were younger and still in college, Satoshi and Shigeru

had made a pact that they would take care of each other’s families no matter what in the future.

In fact, Satoshi was actually the one that made Kyoya’s tomfas. When Kyoya was born, Satoshi

went to go visit Shigeru for a couple of days, and looking at Kyoya, laughed, saying that Kyoya would

become an amazing fighter when he was older.

Shigeru, having convinced the Hibari elder that they should assist the Ikedas, immediately took

some others with him to go get Hana before Mizumi’s mafia family tried to get her back.

Meanwhile, the Hibari elder saw this as an opportunity to find a spouse for the next heir of the

Hibari clan, who turned out to be Kyoya.

Adopted as the Hibari elder’s daughter, Hana was never aware of the arranged marriage. She

always assumed Kyoya to be merely her cousin and nothing else. The elder’s plan was not revealed

to her until he died when Hana was six. Hana, naïve as she was, after hearing the news of the

arranged marriage, assumed that a different girl was going to be married to Kyoya. When the

Hibari elder died, Hana was arranged to move to Kyoya’s house the next day, but Fong came to the

Hibari mansion. He took her to Italy to be trained in the mafia, because the mafia connection in

Shanghai had barely been notified that another Ikeda existed at the time.

However, Fong was actually following orders that the Vongola boss had given even before Hana was

born.

parents and knew she had moved to Namimori.
