Personality: Raziel is intelligent, strong-willed and very talented. He makes the best of his abilities to get his way, regardless of what means he has to use. He is obsessed with power of any kind, much more so than the average dark elf. He is violent, cruel and arrogant. He is very deceptive, to the point of making lying into an art, an art he has mastered. Despite all his negative qualities, he is smart enough to realize his limits. To his subjects, he is a wise and benevolent king, to his "friends" a loyal ally. In reality, however, he doesn't trust anyone and is ready to betray anyone at first convenience, settings things up to put the blame on someone else beforehand, of course.
Background: Raziel's life had few highlights. The first and only son of the previous king of Lyncon, he was destined for greatness since birth. However, it wasn't like him to leave things to destiny, so he took them into his own hands. He was obsessed with being the best at everything from a very early age, a trait that later turned into an obsession with power and served him well in his life. When he was forty, he conspired with his father's advisers to assassinate him, and then pinned the blame on them in order to seize absolute power in his kingdom. He subjected himself to endless studies, grueling training, dangerous adventures and torturous rituals in order to become more powerful in every way he could. In one of said rituals, he gave up his eyes.
It was all business as usual for him, that is, until he learned of princess Elehna. He wasn't sure what was so special about her, but she caught his eye. He wanted to have her. The relationship between their two kingdoms had always been kind of strained, but he thought he could play it in his favor if he tried for an arranged marriage scenario. He was certain the king of Morlay would accept his proposition because the kingdom of spiritual elves couldn't afford to spoil their relationship further, but he was rejected despite all his cunning. It hurt his pride.
Years later, he decided it was time everyone learned what it meant to stand in his way.
Other: Raziel is known as one of the fiercest and by far the most bloodthirsty warrior of his time. He is also a very skilled user of magic. His true powers, however, remain unknown to everyone but the deceased.
