Vincent Kallisto

God of Dark Knowledge and The Obsidian Darkness

0 · 1,019 views · located in The Hidden Glen

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Vincent the Dark God

Description

A tall figure, gaunt yet muscular. Stands maybe nine feet tall with long arms and legs, his torso seems abnormally long as well. His hair is long and black reaching down to his mid back, with stray strands of hair flowing in front of his slender elegant face. He wears a long trench coat decorated on the fringe with small rubies. Underneath his open coat he wears a tight black silk tunic with long clasps reaching from one side of his torso to the other. His black pants are somewhat more loose than his shirt, seeming to be made from fine cloth. The boots he wears are of thick black leather, looking as though they are being worn for the first time, for they bear no dirt or marks from use. He wears long black metal gauntlets that reach from the middle of his elegant sharp fingers to his elbow, they seem to add no bulk to the mass of his arms. When he opens his mouth, long sharp canines can be seen, fangs some would say. After studying all this, it is his eyes that stand out. Black, darker than a starless night, as if a whole universe of darkness is held within them.

Sometimes at night he can be seen with large black demonic wings protruding from his back.

Personality

He speaks very fluently with a slight accent which no one can recognize, suggesting some kind of noble upbringing. He holds himself with a straight back, and arms at his sides at most times. If any approaches him he simply looks at them with a straight face, never smiling. When he speaks it is as if Death himself is standing before you. He is always serious, never joking. Always seen alone with no one within ten feet of him, he keeps to himself. It seems very easy yet at the same time hard to make him angry. The way he moves is always graceful with elegance.

Equipment

He carries nothing but his clothing. Some have seen him with a saber sheathed at his side, others have seen him with a spear among other things. Yet he never seems to have these things at most times that he is spotted.

History

Vincent is the Dark God of an alternate dimension. He crosses between them as easily as walking through a door, though when he does all light and heat are sucked away within twenty feet of him. War between other Gods and races have been raging in his realm as well as many other dimensions he has visited, usually between the same entities. He has no need to eat or receive sustenance of any kind. His weapons of choice are black chains, barbed and tipped with long blades on their ends that he summons from his own body. Sometimes they are summoned from many points on the battlefield that he is occupying. He uses black flames when he sees a need for it, such as when his opponent rivals his own skills.

His presence in this realm of existence is unknown, other than the fact that he states of being, "Simply curious." Though he has been known to help travelers and warriors that he deems able enough to change the course of history in this realm and keep his war from spreading to this dimension.

Vincent Kallisto walked through the icy plains for hours. He did not care where he was going, he simply trudged onward into the infinite white. Snow fell as thick as a woolen blanket and the sky was a dark gray. If anyone could see him, he would appear as a dark silhouette behind a veil of constantly falling snow.

Vincent Kallisto had his head bowed against the icy wind, his wide brimmed hat keeping the snow from falling on his face. Something caught his foot under the snow, looking down he saw the blade of a sword partially uncovered. He knelt down to examine it, and picking it up a hand came with it. He followed it to the body of Lightning, "Fool girl." he mumbled to himself, not showing emotion on his face or in his voice. He picked her up and removing his longcoat from around himself he wrapped her in it. He needed to find a shelter. Onward he trudged, heading for what he hoped was a large rock formation in the distance.

Vincent Kallisto was lucky it seemed, the large figure in the distance was in fact a rock formation. Setting Lightning on the ground with his coat wrapped tightly around her, Vincent walked to the rock wall several paces from so debris would not spray on her as he made a cave. He set one hand on the rock with fingers splayed out, and closed his eyes. After a few seconds of focusing he pushed and the rock fell away in a near perfect cone. The cave he had made was five yards deep and three across. Walking back to Lightning he picked her up and set in the very back of the cave against the wall. Now he needed to figure out a source of warmth, otherwise he would have to warm the girl with his body.

Vincent Kallisto couldn't do anything for a heat source, there just wasn't any resources for it. So, he did the only thing he could do to keep her alive. Taking off his shirt he walked to Lightning, opening his longcoat he wrapped it around both of them and embraced the girl, hoping that his body warmth would be enough.

Vincent Kallisto rubbed Lightning's arms and back to keep her blood flowing. It was a good thing they were in the cave, the snow began to fall thicker. He paid no attention to her whimpers, instead he set his hat on her head. After all, seventy percent of a person's body heat flows out through the top of the head.

Vincent Kallisto 's face betrayed no emotion. He sat there stonefaced as he spoke, "Would you not do the same, for an ally of the battle weary?" his tone was quiet and sage like. He stopped rubbing her now that she had regained consciousness and just sat with her, shirtless.

Vincent Kallisto looked out at the falling snow, "At the end of the day, we are all survivors." his voice was stony, as if he still lived in a warzone. He never relaxed and seemed to forget that he was still holding Lightning to his body.

Vincent Kallisto raised his arm beside his head, a simple gesture. A black barbed chain wrapped itself around his arm, blocking Lightning's strike while in a sitting position.

Vincent Kallisto was no longer where she kicked, instead he was standing at the entrance waiting. He held up a fist, and he touched his other hand to this fist. He moved his hand through the air as if tracing a blade, then in an eruption of black fire a rapier with an untraditional wide blade was in his hand. He pointed it at the ground and stood with barely a foot between his feet, standing straight. His hat and coat were back on him, without his shirt.

Vincent Kallisto made a guess and sidestepped avoiding the blade. He spun, barely moving his feet and was facing Lightning. With a flick of his wrist the rapier's blade came at her head horizontally, then another flick and it would be aimed at her legs.

Vincent Kallisto 's blade flicked as quickly as a humming bird's wings, sending the bolts out through the cave entrance. He then stepped forward and was next to Lightning, he drew back to stab and as he came forward he appeared on the other side of her.

Vincent Kallisto dropped from the ceiling and landed with his blade disappearing in a silver mist, "One's true mind and spirit is revealed when in combat. I understand." his voice was dark, but he masked any feelings that might be conveyed. He walked over to her and looked at her, bleeding before him.

Vincent Kallisto nodded as if he were impressed himself, "Vincent." he said and turned away to grab his shirt which still lay on the ground. He walked back to her and tossed it in her lap, "You will become cold again, put it on." he then turned to walk to the entrance, only to stare at the veil of near pure white which fell from the dark sky.

Vincent Kallisto chuckled darkly, a wicked grin spread across his face. He looked over his shoulder at her, his black eyes piercing, "What peace can ever be found by a god?" his voice sinister, yet silky. He turned his face back to the outside and his features visibly relaxed, his face was like stone once more, "There will be no peace for me." his voice was quiet, barely above a whisper though loud enough to be heard by Lightning. A tone of longing crept unintentionally into his voice, but he tried to hide it all the same.

Vincent Kallisto was quiet for several minutes, as if contemplating the snow, "Comraderie." he stated monotone. His body did not move nor even shake, "You did not ask though, the question of which I expected." he said expectantly.

Vincent Kallisto looked at her on the ground, "You will not be going anywhere, not anytime soon." he said. He walked away from the entrance, giving it one last look, "Come on." he said as he went to grab her arm to help her up.

Vincent Kallisto turned away to hide his smirk. He stood there, topless, "If I had better things to do, wouldn't I be doing them?" his voice sounded slightly amused, humorous even.

Vincent Kallisto turned back to her, taking off his hat he set it on her head, "Stay warm, I will be back." and with that he walked to the entrance of the cave, and out into the cold, dark tundra.
