"Wing City?" She questioned remembering brief discussions with a few of the residents, and not thought terribly highly of the WCPD in the end.

"You can have whatever you want, I believe they even have pizza and chicken nuggets." Catherine told Parson once they were inside. Eatzi's, as the place was called, was filled with various deli type cases of fresh, chef prepared food ready to have heated to eat there or take back to wherever you were headed. Leaving Parson to his own devices, Catherine wandered over to get herself something to drink and a light snack. Unlike Parson had been, she was perfectly capable of eating food, with some things being more palatable than others.

Parson ordered a slice of pizza and a six piece chicken nuggets, along with a drink of soda. He couldn't wait to try the soda. He beamed and looked to Catherine happily. "Thank you!" Real food, for the first time in years.

Parson sipped the soda right away and brightened happily. It was delicious. He squirmed in glee.

"Your welcome." Catherine said plainly as she took a seat at one of the shaded tables outside with Parson. "You will have to forgive me here, it has been a very long time since my children and nephew were your age." She said slightly surprised by how much food the small boy could put away, hoping that he didn't make himself sick in the process.

"What makes you believe that this Randin fellow will take you in as a charge?"

He hadn't had the chance to eat in years. H wasn't about to waste it. The boy savored each bite, eating slowly and enjoying it. He thought it over. "I don't know." He answered quietly. "But...well, no one else would. I hurt so very many people. I killed them, an I shouldn't have." He even felt gennuine remorse for it, now.

"No one really wants a boy like that in their homes."

Frowning slightly, she could tell that Parson had been very much controlled by the vampirism. "What would you say to me taking you? Randin has no experience with our laws or the Council. My father is a senior Councilor, so I have some sway if I need it." She ventured. Sir William had taken her in without further thought or knowledge of what he might be getting into. While she didn't believe in the universal karmic payback others in her place might have, Catherine did believe that paying it forward was important.

Parson hesitated, thinking it over. "Are you sure?" IT was a nice offer. And she had bought him food. "If you are then, I would like that." An awful lot.

He knew he was kind of weird, but it would mean so much if he could stay with someone who knew the truth. "Would I have to go to school, public school?"

"I wouldn't offer it otherwise." Catherine answered trying to assuage Parson's fears. She had to admit she was a bit rusty at dealing with children outside of Alexander's little boy, but then again the boy was only there on weekends. "Yes you have to attend school, but there are schools for children of the unseen, but I could enroll you at a public school if you like." She added wondering where this question had come from. When William had been a boy things had been a bit different, there were not special schools open yet, and sending him to a public school would have been a disaster.

"...I want to go to the special schools." Not the normal ones, where his size would be mocked terribly. "I didn't know about those." He'd prefer it. He smiled slightly. "So, um, if I live with you, what should I call you?" There was no telling.

He finished off the chicken nuggets, savoring the taste. Delicious.

"I'll ask Alexander later about enrolling you then." Catherine said taking a sip of her coffee, and picking at her half eaten muffin. "What would you like to call me?" She asked remaining as patient with Parson as she could. Perhaps if she took matters into her own hands, there would be a little less chaos involving a certain little boy. "I'm not going to ask you to call me mother or aunt if that's what your wondering." She just didn't see the point with Parson.

That was good. He didn't much want to. "Can I just call you Catherine?" It was bold, but everything else felt wrong. "If it's okay?" He was more than a little scared right now. The point had been made that he couldn't stay on his own, or with a caretaker.

Catherine was really his only choice.

She nodded as she picked up a piece of muffin with long, elegant fingers. Nothing about Catherine necessarily screamed cop or what she did for a living, her clothing consisted of nice suits and heels, her nails were manicured and her hair neatly styled, she even wore jewelry and make-up regularly. But, when the chips were down, she could be one of the toughest negotiators out there in the unseen world and could back up the bluffs to boot. "That's fine." She assented as she placed the piece of bread in her mouth, always careful not to let anything that shouldn't be seen be seen.

Parson smiled. "Okay." He said, relaxed now. That would be nice. He'd be at school with others, like him. The boy finished off his pizza happily, slowly chewing and savoring each bite.

"I missed food." He admitted quietly.

Catherine smiled slightly as she listened to Parson. "Are you enjoying being human again?" She asked picking up her coffee again. "I guess I'll have to see if I can still cook now that you'll be living with me." She said thinking that a regular routine would benefit Parson greatly, as well as the chance to go to school and be as normal as was possible for a boy who'd just been brought back from the dead. However in the back of her mind was the ever present thought of what exactly the Council would do once they found out, how could she demonstrate that Parson wasn't a danger, that he could actually be a productive member of society? Catherine almost dreaded speaking with Kasimir on that little minor point of interest.

Parson beamed. "Yeah! Aunt Kaitlynn turned me." He admitted. "Grandfather was furious. WE had been chosen, but we weren't supposed to be turned until we were much older."

He smiled and hugged her, gently. "I'll be a good boy." He promised. "And try my hardest in school." Even if it might eb a little hard.

Listening to Parson, she could see that his childhood had been taken from him, and while Catherine was attempting to be kind by doing the right thing, she wasn't sure what would happen next. "I'm sure you will, remember you not only have to follow my rules by the Council's." She said, all while thinking inwardly that she probably had just gotten in over her head. "You'll like the school, Alexander's little boy goes there. I think you two could possibly get along, if you can behave."

Parson thought it over. "I can try." At least he would know someone. That would be really nice. "I can follow both sets." He said and smiled. "I just need to know them. And it's not like I'm a vampire anymore." So no one could poke at him and learn about things they shouldn't.

He hesitated a moment. "The council...they won't kill me will they? Because of Babbit, and me having been dead?"

"I think we're getting into unknown territory here Parson, I don't think they will kill you. The rules are fairly simple, you will learn about them in school. I'm not the person to explain them, I might just add confusion." Catherine sighed setting her coffee down and looking at her watch. "If you are done with your lunch, we should probably leave." She commented.

Parson grinned. "I'm done. Thanks,it was delicious." He declared, sipping the soda. Soda! He loved being human again. They boy cleaned up quickly and politely, taking everythign to the trash as needed.

"I'm glad they won't kill me, and I'll follow the rules."

Catherine just gave Parson a slightly exasperated look as he kept talking about the rules, and not getting killed. "Listen Parson..." She began, "One thing here is you are human or so we think, and another is you really don't want to go back to the way you were. That's enough I'd think for the Council." Catherine could see that that was the one thing the boy was afraid of most for whatever reason, someone killing him. "I'm sure you'll follow the rules, and I'm sure that you'll do fine."

Parson nodded at this and fell silent, sensing he exasperation. The boy was just glad everything seemed to be working out. One last check left the table looking nice and he paused. "Catherine? If someone sees me, do you think that they'll recognize me?"

He thought they might. For awhile.

"Ah... well... that is an interesting question.." She answered. He wasn't capable of simple glamor magics, nor had he learned them. "We could dye your hair and cut it?" Catherine suggested. It wasn't how she wanted to spend her afternoon, playing beautician to of all people Parson. She'd be much happier getting her work done, and foisting him off on some unsuspecting agent who was in need of something to do.

Brandon slumped into Catherine's office, not too happy with having to have another 'talk.' He looked over to her and took a seat in the chair across from her, his vary stance speaking of his displeasure.

"Okay, I'm here. What do we have to talk about?" He held his broken arm, in a plaster cast, next to his body, not happy. So fair, the only person who had signed it was one of the guys, who had figured out where Brandon had begun to spend the day, and he had signed it not with a name, but a cartoon rabbit head.

"We need to talk about your current behavior. Have a seat Brandon." Catherine said leaning back against the heavy mahogany desk behind her. "You know that as much as I want to help you out, that I can't keep dropping everything to bail you out of your latest endeavor gone wrong right?" She asked crossing her arms over her chest, she could see the one single scribble on the cast the boy wore on his broken arm. It was really quite sad that his friends were so afraid of the fact that he spent his days with what amounted to a cop. "If your behavior doesn't shape up, you have one of two choices, I put you in a boarding school for children of your ilk, or I place you with a foster family familiar with unseen children."

"What? You only needed to bail me out once!" He protested. "I can find a way to pay you back for the bill. Somehow." He'd have to steal the cash, but it wasn't like anyone noticed.

"I aint going to no boarding school." Or school period. He hadn't been in ages, though Babbit insisted he read and write some. "And I'm not going into foster care. That place is bad." Kids had bad stuff happen to them there.

He ought to just take a chance with being mugged, and hope his gang was in good enough shape to keep him out of that trouble. "You don't gotta keep dropping every thing you know." It wasn't like she was his mom. He didn't have one of those.

"In case you didn't realize Brandon, if I'm your legal guardian, I am responsible for you. If you do not go to school I am responsible for that as well, and while homeschooling is legal... I don't have time for it. You will attend school, you will make passing grades since you don't want to go into foster care." Catherine could see that the decision had been made. "I told you that you had two choices, and it seems that you've picked one. You start school in August." She added listening to his feble protests. He seemed determined to be a problem in so many ways, and if word got back to the Council, Catherine would have a good deal of trouble on her hands. "Yes, it was only once, but... I am familiar with your track record mister. Your a child, you are not expected to pay me back except in good behavior and good grades. Is this understood?"
