Piper returned feeling a little better. She looked at Tyler. "Don't worry. Just forget about her."
Meanwhile, the Mayor had contacted his sniper, and told him Kendra's locations, and to find her. It was only a matter of time.

Kyle saw Kendra from a distance as he was walking to his job and looked away.

Kendra saw a man, but looked down. Then, suddenly she fell yet again, pain going through her body. The sniper quickly retreated, having missed a headshot, but succeeded in getting her shoulder. "Unngh!" She screeched, and fell to her knees, then completed the fall, landing on her stomach. She couldn't move the whole left side of her body, the bullet hitting her nerves. Struggling, she fumbled for her phone, seeing the ring on her finger. She didn't remember how she got it but... somehow she had.

Kyle's head snapped up when he heard a scream and saw Kendra fall to the ground. "KENDRA!" He shouted as he ran to her. "Oh my god, what the hell happened!?"

"Hell, if I knew. " She squeaked, tears threatening her eyes. "Ah, fuck, Kyle!" She sat up, leaning against the light pole. Having fished her phone out already, she heard the sirens, but felt the pain tug at her eyelids. "Mm..."

Kyle's eyes widened with worry and he hurried to kneel beside her. "No, no, no. Kendra please, you can't pass out on me ok? Please, just keep your eyes open."

Kendra sighed, and looked at Kyle, half-chuckling. "I love you." She chuckled, and brought her hand up to his face, the ring glimmering in the light. She started bobbing off as the ambulance was a street away.

Kendra nodded wearily, and her eyes fluttered shut as she was loaded into the ambulance. Taking Kyle with them too, they rushed her into the ER, and performed surgery, as she came out soon after. Her torso was heavily bandaged, and she had on an oxygen mask. "You can visit her, as she just needs rest now." The doctor nodded to Kyle.

Kendra squinted at the bright lights, hearing her name. She felt woozy, and the room spun, so she kept her eyes closed, but mumbled, "K..Kyle? " Her voice sounded tired.
