Tristen then found him. She let go of Kyle's hand, and ran up to man standing alone. He looked exactly like the one in her mother's pictures. "Hey, I know you!" She smiled.
Meanwhile, at the apartment...
Kendra tiredly stood up, "I know, you forgot your coat, baby." Kendra grabbed Tristen's punk jacket, and opened the door, with a surprised look.
Piper felt a small frown crease her lips, and laughed. "This is his first love? Man, I am such an upgrade. "
Kendra set the jacket back down. "Who are you?"
Piper smiled. "Soon to be Mrs. Martins."
Kendra felt a pang in her heart, and frowned, fighting back tears. "But, he promised. He promised he'd cone back for his daughter, I thought...." She paused. "Please... Just let me see him, for just a minute."
Piper smiled big. "In your wildest dreams. You think I'd let you near him? After what you did? " she laughed. "He was a pile of nothingness when I found him."
Those words seem to echo in Kendra's head. "Nothingness.... After what you did?"

Kyle was startled by the name she called him then hurried after her. "Tristen you shouldn't run off like that..." He looked up at the man she was talking to and his eyes widened.
Tyler looked down as he heard a cute little girl tell him she knew him. "I'm sorry... I don't seem to remember you." He crouched down beside her. "Where do you know me from?"
Kyle immediately pulled Tristen back, away from the man. "Nowhere, she mistook you for someone else. I'm sorry." He said as he began to pull Tristen away, his face dark and dangerous.
It was like, something was telling her she shouldn't dare say it, but she fought against it, and loudly said, "My Dad."
Kendra felt defeated, and sighed. "Just tell me where he is... please.."
Piper, shut the door, and left, feeling she'd given too much away already. She then, walked down the stairs, and left, going to her father's office.
Piper sighed, and got dressed feeling like she needed to get out, and went down to the cafe, thinking Tristen and Kyle had went to the park.
"TRISTEN!" Kyle shouted at her, dragged her toward him and looking at her dead in the eyes, his own dark and angry. "I told you you're mistaken." He said, his voice deep and dangerous. "He. Is. Not. Your. Father."
Tyler was surprised by the girl's declaration and the man's reaction, he looked at them and asked Tristen. "Who is your mother."
Before Tristen could answer Kyle pulled Tristen behind him and glared at the man. "She's not your child." His eyes were ready to kill this man by he picked Tristen up and carried her out of the Cafe. Slamming the door behind them and quickly making his way down the street.

Kyle sighed as he carried Tristen back to the apartment. "I'm sorry Tristen, but that man is no father."
Tyler watched as a new person walked in and his eyes instantly widened with recognition. "Kendra..." As she looked over and noticed him he quickly turned his head away to take a drink.

Kendra ordered her coffee, and frowned when she saw him noticing her. She went and sat at the corner table, five feet away. Her back to him.
Piper had arrived at her father's office, was currently arguing over the fact that she needed to get Tyler away, but couldn't.
"Father, just send a policeman to go look for him, something. Before that witch gets her hands on him."

Kyle frowned and sighed. "I'm sorry Tristen but please, believe me when I say that that man is not who you think he is. Let's just leave it at that."
Tyler continuously glanced back at Kendra. She's hear? How? I didn't realize she was in New York. Dammit, I want to talk to her. His mind was racing with these kinds of thoughts.
Kendra sipped her straw, millions of things running her mind. "He left.. why is he here? He doesn't need to be.. God, I hope Tristen doesn't know.. or Kyle for that matter... Should I approach him? What if he approaches me? What do I do? What will I say? Do I tell him about Tristen? Unnghh..." She held her head in her hands, and sighed.
Tristen simply nodded, and sighed, feeling defeated. She was so much like her mother, it haunted some people.
Tyler decided he'd give it a shot, he threw away his cup and got up, heading over to her and pretended to just notice her. "Kendra? Hey!" He said sitting down, he flinched. Too peppy. He thought.
Kyle sighed and carried her home. He got in. "Where's Kendra?" He asked Zoe.
Kendra was just about to get up, when she heard an all too familiar voice call her name. She jumped, looking up. It was that handsome man she bore a child with.
"Kendra? Hey!"
"That's way too peppy.." She thought, and fake smiled at him. "Tyler, hello." Kendra scanned the coffee house, seeing the band. "You might not want to be seen with me. Your fiance'd get pretty mad." She frowned, and sighed, playing with her all too bare left hand.
Tristen shrugged, and sat on the couch. "Maybe she went out on that dating thing again."
Kendra'd been trying to move on from Tyler, leaving Tristen at home with Zoe, or with Kyle, when she went out on dates.

Tyler frowned a little in confusion. "You met Piper? Weird, I wonder why she didn't tell me. But I doubt she'd be mad, I've told her about you."
Kyle's eyes narrowed. "Oh... right..."
"Tyler, what do you need?" She asked, fearing if she stayed around him any longer than needed, Piper would threaten Tristen.
"Yeah, I know." Tristen sighed, and then stood, and hugged Kyle. "I like you better anyway. "
Tyler looked a little disappointed by her reaction to finally seeing him. "I just... wanted to talk... it's been a while after all."
Kyle looked down at her and forced a small smile and hugged her back. "Thanks kiddo."
Kendra sighed. "I wrote to you for years after you stopped writing back. I thought you might move on, so each letter I would ask one more time, for you to come home.." She paused, looking down. The band had taken a break, and left the stage.
"I had ever slither of hope you'd come back, and just swoop us in your arms, and take us away to this make-believe magical place, that only existed with true love. " Kendra slipped a few tears. "I missed you. Do you know what I tell our daughter, so she doesn't just hate your guts? I tell her that you loved us too much to stay. That you had to leave, because we were too good for you. " She bit her lip. "I see now, that it's the other way around. We're not good enough, are we?"
She looked up, just as Piper entered, and put her hand on Tyler's shoulder. "Go. on. home." She said firmly, as a police officer was standing by the door.
Kendra swallowed, standing slowly.
"I don't see why Mom can't just marry you." Tristen smiled that warm smile her mother was so good at. "I like you."
Tyler's eyes widened. "I never got them... I thought you'd just stopped sending me, I sent you quite a few and you never answered..." His eyes widened even more. "We have a... daughter...?" He then looked up at Piper surprised. "Piper, darling, I need to talk to her for a little while, ok?" He was surprised, she'd never looked like this before.
Kyle couldn't suppress a smile. "I like you too Tristen. I wish we could too..."
Kendra stood there for a minute, and bit her lip. "Yes... Tristen Martin Lester." Kendra swallowed looking at Piper.
Piper had called the police officer over, and he was standing next to her. "Please, she's trespassing, officer." Piper pointed at Kendra.
Kendra shook her head. "I was just leaving. Please, I don't want any more trouble." She held up her hands, and slowly walked out.
Piper sat where Kendra was, and looked at Tyler. "I had to. She's getting on my nerves."
Tristen smiled, and hugged him. She then sighed. "Where do you think she went?"

Tyler looked at Piper in shock and he finally could say. "But... I have a child..."
Kyle shook his head. "I don't know..."
Kendra walked home, coming in, with sad eyes.
Tristen saw her, and hugged her. "Momma, where did you go? Don't leave me please.."
Kendra bent down, and got on her knees, hugging her. "I love you." She then looked up at Kyle. "He's here... Tyler is here.."
"So, we need to meet the designer now." Piper stood, and walked over to Tyler, pecking his cheek. "C'mon, baby." She held out her hand.

Kyle's eyes widened, then he looked like he was going to kill. "He talked to you!?"
Tyler still looked uncertain but nodded and stood up, taking her hand.
Kendra shot up as soon as she saw that twinkle in his eyes, and locked the door. "Tristen, can you go make the guest room? Uncle Kyle's sleeping over."
Tristen nodded, and went off to the guest room, smiling.
Kendra then placed her hands on Kyle's shoulders, and kissed his cheek, as she often did when they had their "Serious talks" when Kyle needed calming or cheering up. "Baby, you can't go out there and kill him just because he talked to me. Did he do something to you?" She looked concerned, and into his eyes.
Piper clutched his hand tightly in hers, and smiled, walking down the street away from the cafe with him.
"Now, we have to meet the wedding designer now, and then we'll go home, and chill, alright?"
She looked purely happy, as always, and kissed his cheek even.

Kyle looked away glaring. "Tristen recognized him."
Tyler watched her, his eyes showing his confusion and befuddledness. He shook his head, he must have been imagining the threatening Piper from earlier.
Piper smiled, and then frowned. "Look, I'm fine now, so stop looking at me like I'm some messed up person like her!" She growled, letting go of his hand.

Tyler looked at her surprised. "Piper? What's wrong? I've never seen you act like this before..."
She stood up slowly, and blinked. "I.. love... you.." She smiled, and kissed his cheek again. "I mean why wouldn't I? You're practically Tristen's best friend."
Tristen had just walked in. "Yes, he is!" She smiled, and ran up to hug him.
"She's going to take you from me, and... I can't allow that." Piper said simply, and looked down.
