Personality

Personality: Chandranath is in a very calm happy state when he is traveling and away from cities and lots of people. It helps him feel free and more in touch with nature. When he is in a city or surrounded by large groups of people he starts to feel edgy and a need to be on his way soon. He can be a bit socially awkward at times and is very proud of his tracking and mapping skills. His pride is well earned.

Opinion on war: Chandranath hates that a war is going on and the damage it is doing to the terrain were it is waged. He is weary of any Virelia fearing the atrocity they committed might have hurt the planet he lives on in some way. And every mention of the Virelia is a reminder of his failure.

History

History: Chandranath grew up in the Forest of Garnital, in a very large Elven City that can be found deep within the forest called Asentara. When he was 43 Chandranath was assigned watch duty on the seal that kept the Virelia banished underground. The Seal was connected to the place were the Virelia were banished underground long ago by the roots of a tree the Elves had spent years growing. They new the further away from the original seal they placed the new one the less likely anyone was to find it and free the Virelia. Chandranath was sworn to secrecy, for very few new of the existence of the seal and even less new were it was. It was a duty of great honor among the Elves. In fact the only people who new were the Elf Council and 5 other Elves then himself who were assigned to guard it at different times. There were always two Elves on guard at a time.

2 years into his duty Chandranath and the other Elf keeping watch were ambushed by a large group of people. 10 by Chandranaths count. He watched an arrow fly through the eye of the other Elf on watch, and before he could sound the alarm another arrow hit him in the chest, causing him to fall to the earth. He struggled to stand back up, but he was losing to much blood and passed out. When he awoke he was lying in a sickbed bandaged up. He was told that if it were not for the skill of the healers he most certainly would have died, and it was a very close call. After he had recovered sufficiently he went to make his report to the Elf council. It was there that he learned that the seal had been broken.

It was then that he left the Forest of Garnital and his beloved city behind him. He had failed his duty, his pride and shame would not allow him to be there any longer. He has not returned since and does his best to avoid any other Elves to this day. He joined the Adventurers guild as a way to make money and spend as much time outdoors as possible. He has worked for the guild for the last 35 years and saved quite a fortune in the process.
