Introduction
Valiant Shadowhorn, Lord of one of the original Abyssal Teifling houses, loved his lady wife, Narissa, even if she was human. She was kind, beautiful and a lover of music, and she born him twin children, a boy, Kairon and a girl, Chant. They lived a happy life, until Narissa became suddenly depressed, realizing that she would likely die before her children were adults. She would grow old while her children and husband remained young, at least for a while.
Valiant, wanting his wife happy again, decided to do something about this, learning of his own heritage, he sought out the ritual that made his ancestors go from human to teifling. He gathered as many of the original nobles as he could and convinced them that summoning Asmodeious could give them power, true power, once again. Unfortunately this meant that all the noble houses had to agree, and naturally not all did. This created a divide among the teifling but it leaned in favor of the "Old Ways"
Meanwhile, Unbeknownst to Valiant, Narissa learned to live with the fact that she wouldn't live as long and that she would teach her children all she could while she had the time. After Valiant told her the news, she told her her truth, and Valiant realized his mistake. He would never force her to do this, so he knew he'd have to convince the nobles of the Old Ways, that the ritual would be a mistake, but it was too late, the nobles in favor of the summoning had begun to kill all of those not in favor. Valiant, knowing he'd likely be headed to his death, sent his family off on a ship to safety. He intended to send Narissa off too but she wanted to stand beside him so she sent her children off with a music box and the key to it. She kissed their horned heads and told them that she'd see them again, either as a teifling or in the next life.
While a civil war broke out on land, a raid ensued on the sea. the ship the children were on was attacked by pirates, the children were placed on separate boats, one drifted East. the other West.

Collectibles

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!
