Setting
As Kina made her way through the hallways, she could hear a faint, yet noticeable beeping sound. Kina realized that almost everyone seemed to be evacuated out of the hospital, so she decided to explore the noise.
As she got closer to the henchman that she had stolen the pistol from before, she could hear the piercing noise becoming louder and louder. Then suddenly, Kina realized that the beeping was coming from the henchman.
Before she had time to think, Kina was pushed back by the force of the explosion.
She could feel her ears ringing and her muscles becoming tense, but Kina managed to get up. Before she knew it, things were starting to catch on fire. Using a huge gust of wind, Kina was able to blow out the small fires before they got too large. But then, Kina could hear and feel more explosions. Bombs were going off throughout the building. Kina tried to rush down the hall to make sure lil' vine was okay, but now there was a huge fire standing in her way. She would have to leave him behind, and evacuate the facility by herself.
Kina just started running, not really knowing where she was heading. The fire alarms started to sound, but it seemed as if no water came to light out the fire. Now it seemed as if tiles were falling from the ceiling. How many henchman did Chaos have? Suddenly, Kina saw a fire extinguisher hiding in a glass case. She kicked the glass, and quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher. Kina lit out some small fires around her, and almost immediately she could see a pathway to one of the hospital rooms. She quickly ran across the burning floor into the room, which was abandoned. Inside, there was a window leading to the outside right in front of Kina. However, right after Kina started to sprint across the room, rubble from above started to fall on her. Kina had to push her way through the remains of the ceiling, being burned a little bit in the process. Finally, Kina made it to the other side of the room. She grabbed the knife from her pocket and threw it at the window, cracking the glass. She kicked the glass, and the window broke open. Instinctively, Kina jumped through the window. Before she could hit the pavement, she hovered down to the ground using her wind powers, gently landing on the cracked sidewalk.
She was finally out of the hospital.
Kina started to run through the alley way where she landed, getting farther from the building. Once a safe distance away, kina forced the paper bag off her face, and threw it to the ground. She breathed heavily, as some of the smoke from the fire got to her lungs. She could feel her whole body dripping with sweat, (it's not easy wearing a black t-shirt in a fire) and her legs practically blown apart from all the running. Her ear was still ringing, but only just a little bit.
Then, Kina assessed her burns. Her arms were a deep red, and she could still feel the heat of the fire tingling in her skin. Kina sat next to the side of a building, and with sweeping motions, she blew the air gently around her, cooling her down a bit. For some reason, Kina thought she could hear sirens nearby. She prayed for the safety of Lil' Vine, the girl from before, and for anyone else trapped inside the building.
"Another word, and I take 'em off. Feeling like seeing if I'm bluffing? I have a killer headache, and your jabber isn't exactly earning you brownie points with me."
He decided it was best to fight. He teleported onto the stage and released the bots. They jumped around looking for more hostiles but found none. One reached to where Kamadake and his grunts were. It beeped alerting other bots and Brightside who walked over. "Who are you and why did you do that?" he asked a smug look on his face. He acted as though he had just cracked the whole case but he didn't and was purely guessing which often worked out for him.
"I warned you. And it's 25 years dungeon, ten years no trials. It will be private, consisting of hand-selected people of my choice, and it will be a puppetshow trial, only for you to be locked away for another 15 years. The only reason I'm a hero is because people like you exist, and I couldn't give a hoot about saving civilians, they're a secondary objective. You lot are what I'm after, and nothing more. Now, if you'll be so kind as to follow me..." She yanked on his handcuffs and led him out of the hospital, holding a newspaper over the post-op area. Today was NOT a good day at all for Keepsake.
Kamadake was a bit surprised when Brightside found his way to him, Taro and Saburo. He needed to keep his status as a villain under lock and key as best he could so he activated his ability to play dumb and innocent. He was pretty good at that. “Oh wow! Thank you sooo much for stopping those hijacked Valkyries! You saved us! I would also like to thank that Hanabi as well. Where are my manners? I’m Kizakura Kamadake, and these are my assistants, Taro and Saburo. You must be the fabled Brightside! Wow who’d have thought that we’d meet you in person?” Kamadake was hyper friendly to the Rogue hero.
“Oh right. You asked me why I did that? What is it exactly that you think I did? Do you mean why I stuck around? If that’s what you’re referring to, I stuck around because I paid for the development of those Valkyries you stopped. Oh and by the way I would like to know where the two that flew away went off to. They are my Valkyries you know. Well actually they were created for the military so they are government property. I just wouldn’t want them to come after you or anything. But if you want them you can keep them. It’ll be our little secret.” Kamadake gave Brightside a wink. “My thanks for you saving us.” Kamadake was almost believeing his own lies. Hanabi climbed up onto the stage and joined the group. Jiro followed suite as well.
Chaos flipped on the T.V. to see that the mayor was speaking on the news. No doubt talking about his new proposed laws and ideas that would oppress the super humans. The man ranted on about city curfiews, arrest warrants on all the super humans, and of course aid from the guard. The last one may be to far fetched as it might be a bit expensive. There were several freerunners that Chaos had with him in the room. Turning his head to them he spoke his mind.
"Now the time has come to send word to the underground of this city. Prime, Neurospear, and the Magician will be contacted. Tell them that Chaos wishes to speak to them. Tell them that I have their dreams in the palms of my hands and that the only thing they need to do to get it is to help me give to them." He told the freerunners. As most tried to leave Chaos stopped two before they left.
"I have a job for you two. After all your the best. The guy who runs Kamakura...What's his name?...Kamadake! Ya tell Kamadake that if he wants to control this city both financially and politicaly then he needs to contact me. If he wants he can tell you to tell me that I can meet one of his little face bashers somewhere. Be sure to inform him when he is in private though." The two freerunners left to do as their employer told them to due. After all, as far as they are concerned he was the one who would save humanity. Chaos got up from his chair to head on down to the armory.
With that he stood and being hungry decided about trying to find some food; since there was no fly on his boxers he wasn't breaking any laws at the moment. That being said, he truly doubted that he'd be able to lay low in this city for long. "I don't know if the local villains are out to level the place or what but if they had any real sense, they'd lay low for a while and let the place rebuild." There wasn't anything humane about his statement, it's just that if a villain caused too much trouble too often, people would leave the city or more drastic actions would be taken. Either way the end result would be the stomping grounds that was their home turf would become empty and the villain would no longer have any prey and would need to move on to a new location and risk being locked out by a hero well entrenched in a different city.
It was at that moment, he forgot what he was doing...it happened incredibly often, he'd be thinking something and something would catch his attention or his mind would jump shifts. At any rate, he kept walking through the streets, ignoring when he came to wreckage, broken glass would just grind to powder under his feet without damaging his skin any. Eventually he'd remember what he was up to, "Man I'm hungry, I should grab a bite so I can remember what I was doing or something."
Chaos was strolling through the edges of a park to get to a Qdoba for some food. He was wearing jeans, tennis shoes, a cotton white T-shirt, a plad vest of it, sunglasses, and a fedora. Nobody was even giving him a second glance. After all his attire when he was out as a terrorist was a bit over the top sometimes. While waling to the Qdoba he happened to spot an odd man wearing only boxers. Hobo maybe? No of course not. A hobo can't afford boxers. He thought to himself. Then he walked into the restaraunt to order some food.
Looking around as he got off the boat at the docks, he was slightly unimpressed. Sure he wasn't expecting to run into anyone worth anything as soon as he stepped into the city, but he was at least expecting to feel challenged. As it was now, there appeared to be no one of any promise within his new home.
Walking further into Kirkcroft, Jackson seemed to have wandered into the nastier part of the city. He noticed several muggings taking place. Indiscriminately, he helped the victims and muggers, this city was for the strong. The weak who couldn't stand against a single person didn't deserve to be here, the strong who had to be ganged up on deserved a chance to grow stronger. If only so Jackson could crush them later. He strolled around until he found a suitable place to live; a small apartment in the slums. His neighbors were nice enough and the gangs nearby always wanted a fight. Jackson was gonna fit in here rather well.
After the events of the burning hospital, Kina limped home. She turned invisible so nobody could question her roaming around in the part of the city where she was. She felt bad walking home after all that had occured, but the ambulances had come right after the hospital incident, and Kina found out that all but one of the victims in the hospital made it out alive. Kina was thankful that it wasn't a large amount, but still, it was one person she could have saved.
The rest of the night, Kina treated her burns and rested on her bed. She definetely got what she wished for; finally learning about the heroes and villians in Kirkcroft, making new friends, and getting to see Brightside, the famous rogue. However, getting what she wished for came with a price, as Chaos seemed to have dominated the day. She decided that maybe she would focus her attention on him for a while. She also decieded that she would be carrying a large purse from then on, since she didn't want to use a paper bag again.
The next day, Kina took a little walk again, by the newspaper stand that she had previously visited. The weird woman from before wasn't there, but something else was. The majority of the newspaper seemed to be all about the events that had happened the day before: the courthouse, the battle at the hospital, and other things. After buying the paper, Kina went to a coffee shop, gave the manager her resume, bought herself a cappuchino, and headed home to her apartment.
Once Kina got to the door in her hallway, she saw her neighbor, June, standing in the hallway.
"Hey Kina." June said with a cheerful smile, "Looks like you got a new neighbor. He just moved in."
June was the kind of person who seemed to know everything about everyone. Kina smiled and nodded at June, since she didn't want to spend too much time in the hallway.
After a while, Kina kind of got bored in her apartment room, so she thought she would just do something nice for a change. She grabbed a piece of paper, and started to write.
Hi new neighbor!
My name is Kina. I'm located in room 121, which is right next door to you! If you need anything, don't be afraid to knock on my door. I'm a little new here as well :)
See you soon,
Kina Quadir
She left the note right below Jackson's doorstep, and then returned to her room.
ooc: prime will be coming soon! i can't write her thing right now, but i will when i have time. sorry for the inconvenience :(

Making a mental note to at least be nice to his neighbors, Jackson started off on his run. Weaving his way through downtown Kirkcroft, Jackson noticed something that shocked him. A blasted hospital, a shattered courthouse, and a city on it's ass with fear. "BRIGHTSIDE. SAVIOR OR DESTROYER?" read the headlines of the daily paper. THE Kirkcroft was shaking in its boots, and to be frank, Jackson liked it that way. "Fear and hatred make you strong" Jackson thought to himself, "even if only temporarily." This fear would create powerful fluxes in the city's attitude. People would start training, wanting to be strong, to protect their city. Jackson smiled, while the bombing of a hospital was abominable (ooc: pardon the pun XD) this, "Brightside", had some serious cahones. This city was running full steam ahead. The mental cogs of anyone and everyone with even a little power were spinning as if their lives depended on it. "Perhaps he'd like to go a few rounds", Jackson thought evilly, a beautiful image of a fist pounded face surfaced in his mind and Jackson resisted the urge to groan in hunger. Either way, Jackson had some business with him. Looking at the damage, Jackson's warrior's high fell flat on its face. The damage to the hospital and the courthouse was irreversible, they would have to be rebuilt entirely. "The weak don't deserve such euthanasia, they deserve the chance to become strong. Then and only then do they have my permission to die in combat with me." While twisted, his intentions remained honorable and solemn. Jackson would find the murderer. He would fight him, and he would win. In his mind, there was no other way around it. Returning home after finding a gym where he could work as a trainer, Jackson was tired, but he figured appearances had to be made somehow, and sooner was better than later. After showering quickly, Jackson put on his usual grey hoodie, his jacket, his jeans, and his black Chuck Taylors. He picked the note from the pocket of his dirty athletic shorts, now in the hamper. He walked out into the hallway, put on his best new neighbor face, and pounded on the door of room 121.
Brightside then reappeared in his lab as Luke was moving Lil' Vines hair and a plat was moving around as the hair moved. "Interesting" he said then typed a few notes into his arm. "Luke take care of the spiders I'm gonna take a walk." he said then teleported leaving the bots sitting obediently in the corner of the room.
Brishtside then went dashing on roof to roof looking out for anything worth doing. He finally made it to his favorite spot on the top of the tallest skyscraper in Kirkcroft. He sighed a breath of relief then sat down crossed legged. He always felt peace up here for where he would go with his stepfather whenever he had some spare time. It was the only time he was truly happy anymore.
Deep down in the sewers of Kirkcroft, Prime was floating around in her lair, trimming the tremendous amounts of plants as usual. To complete the serum she needed to infect the entire city of Kirkcroft with hypernatic DNA, she needed a small clipping of almost every plant alive, and a gemstone containing a rare energy source, known as chezin . Prime had the plant part down, but she never started on her quest to find any sort of gemstone.
Suddenly, Prime could feel a prescence coming from behind her concrete door,
the entrance to her lair.
She cleared her voice, and produced some sort of alienated sound. The door opened slowly, and revealed a burly looking man, who seemed to be covered in sweat.
"Are you Prime?" he asked her in a monotonish voice.
"The one and only, darling." she said with a devilish grin.
"What do you want? I suppose you wouldn't be coming all the way down to the sewers of Kirkcroft for NOTHING, hmmm?" she said, motioning him in. Once the freerunner was inside, the door closed behind him. Prime floated in the air, as if he was nothing of importance to her.
"Chaos, perhaps the greatest man alive, has sent me here to tell you that he has your dreams in the palms of his hands and that the only thing you need to do to get it is to help him give to you." he said, staring upward.
"My dreams in the palm of his hands? That's not possible. I'm in control of my own destiny. You may leave." Prime said, facing away from the man.
"You don't understand," the man tried again, "Chaos is able to control anything. He can get anything you want in the blink of an eye."
"I think it's going to take more than a wink to get what i want. I'm sure there is a catch?"
"oh no, no catch. none at all."
"Interesting...." there was a long pause as Prime thought to herself.
"And where can i meet this, what do you call him? ummm...Chaos?"
"Oh, he has many secret bases. The last time i saw him, he was at the base near the Kirkcroft central park."
"Thanks sweetheart." Prime said, giving a devious half smile. Suddenly, she snapped her fingers, and vines from above coiled around the mans feet, and hoisted him into the air. He struggled to get free. Prime floated around him, chuckling at his attempts to tear the plant in half.
"I'm afraid that's all the information I'll need." she said, "Get comfy for now, darling." she whispered in his ear, "i'm gonna need you for later"
And without warning, Prime unleashed one of her destructive sonic screams right in the man's ear. Prime's screams were enough to shatter glass and other materials, cause deafness, and knock people out cold. This man was no exception. His hands dropped below his head, and he dangled, unconcious.
Later, Prime exited her lair, flying with her supersonic speed across the city of Kirkcroft, looking for the base. She thought to herself as to what kind of dreams this Chaos wanted to give her. Infecting the whole world with hypernatic DNA, even himself? Giving her a gemstone with chezin and some technology to help her out? Or maybe, slaughtering her archnemesis, Brightside. The cocky, airheaded, arrogant Brightside.
Once she got to the building she recognized as the base, She kicked the door, making a knocking sound.
"Anybody hooooome?" she shouted.
Ninja
Kina was skimming through the newspaper, looking through the job descriptions in the newspaper, when suddenly, she heard a pounding at the door. She plopped the newspaper on her bed, and opened the door. Standing there, was a guy about her age dressed in a grey hoodie and a jacket.
"Hi. Can i help you?" Kina said with a polite smile. She made sure to roll down her sweatshirt, covering the awful burn marks on her arms.
After he'd eaten, he stomped on the ground and by using his powers, force was amplified and directed to the store front. The front was blown away like an explosion and he casually walked through the wreckage. As he stepped onto the street he felt a sharp pain in his foot, unaccustomed to pain he shouted and nearly fell at the sensation. He saw a shard of glass in his foot and immediately began to panic, "Did I lose my power? I've never encountered something like this." The question asked aloud seemed to bring him back into focus.
"I see, so if I'm the moving vector Rebound won't protect me unless I'm focusing... that's the only way this could work. Guess my defense isn't as absolute as I thought...no matter it's not like someone will figure it out." He pulled the glass from his foot and pushed himself well away from the blast zone. Tricky then sat down a bit to nurse his foot before going to add sandals to his wardrobe. He'd made a copious amount of noise but it's not like he had anything to fear...at least his years in government confinement had taught him such.
"Challenge won."
The boy held out his left hand.
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Jackson, I just moved in next door. I just figured that I'd drop over, say hi, and meet my new neighbor." he said with a smile. Kina grinned, she wasn't expecting her new neighbor to come by and visit her so quickly.
"Well hello Jackson. I'm Kina. I'm assuming you read the letter?" Kina was about to shake his hand, when he suddenly said,
"I'm sorry Kina, but we'll have to hold off on the introductions, I've just remembered that I have a very important appointment."
"oh, uhhh...okay then...." she said awkwardly as she watched him rush down the hall.
Kina closed the door behind her, shrugged, and then sat on her bed. She decided to go free-running, since she hadn't trained often in the week she had been in Kirkcroft. She put on her costume, and turned invisible. Once out of her apartment, Kina scaled the skyscrapers with ease. With her wind powers, Kina was able to boost herself up, giving her the abilities of running faster and jumping higher than the average human. She paused on one of the buildings to look at the city in front of her. She swore she could see someone on one of the high buildings, but she just decided that she was dillusional.
Kina headed towards her resting spot; the park. She figured she would head to her usual spot by the lake, when suddenly, she could see two people fighting. They weren't just any people either; they were supers.
For once, Kina felt like she had enough of fighting in Kirkcroft. Fighting only meant more killings, and crime rate growing. And besides, they were scaring people away from the peacefulness of the park. Invisible, Kina crept up to the two men. She noticed one of them was wearing boxers, and the other with blood red looking...claws. (she was unaware that this was actually Jackson)
Before turning visible again, Kina threw a smoke ball between the two men. The smoke ball blew white dusty smoke that couldn't be seen through. Kina cleared the smoke away using her wind. She blew the wind so hard, that it was enough to knock the two men down.
She drew her katana and said with intense eyes, "Break it up you two. You're disturbing the peace."
Prime
Prime was frustrated. Nobody answered the door.
"Fine then!!! I'll leeeeeave!!!" she said in a childish tone. She never liked wasting time.
Suddenly, she could hear loud sounds, almost like an explosion near her. She realized it was coming from the park, and without drawing attention to herself, she scurried near the battlefield. She could see a man eating a burrito near a tree, watching the battle. Prime stood next to him and said, "People here are so crazy. It's good though. The strong get to prove themselves. And the fools....well....they learn something about themselves."
She snatched the burrito from Chaos's hands and took a bite. "I don't think these two are weak. No. Maybe a bit ignorant, but strong to say the least."
Suddenly, Prime could see Ninja trying to break up the fight. Prime rolled her eyes and shouted, "BOOOOOO!!!! WHY'D YA HAVE TO BREAK UP A GOOD FIGHT, LADY?!?!"
