Personality
Rylee has always been the "popular kid." Everyone's always loved him, or rather loved to hate him. He has the tight knit elite group that's hard to get into, but he also had his seven best friends, the ones he would be there for no matter what. He has always tried to stay one hundred person loyal to them. When it comes between choosing the cool kids and his clan, there's no question who he'll pick. He likes to think he's the one who people come to for advice, and he wants to help if someone needs it.
Ry is athletically on top too. He's played football since he was in sixth grade, and will go on to play in college, even though he may be too short. He'll, that may be the only reason he got into the school he wanted. He always has struggled in the classroom. He almost failed out of every grade from 4th-8th, but was able to maintain a 3.14 GPA during his high school career.
Rylee is a hilarious kid. He's witty, and his best material is what he comes up with on the spot. Some of his teachers hate him because he makes jokes during class. Sometimes he doesn't have a filter, so his jokes can hurt. But he understands if you address the situation.
He knows he's attractive. He knows girls like him. But he hasn't been in a serious relationship. He hasn't found that person yet. He's afraid of being alone. He's not narcissistic at all, either, but most people judge him, just on his looks.

History
Rylee was born on June 11th to Maxwell and Luna Vanderpool, too highly successful people. Max was (and still is) an anesthesiologist. Luna had never worked a day in her life, but inherited all of her wealthy parents' money after they died. While Rylee was still in the womb, he was thought to be a girl. But, surprise! They brought him home to a pink bedroom, but raised him to be the tough boy that his father wanted.
Three years later, Ramona was born. Rylee and Ramona because two peas in a pod. They refused to leave each others side. When Rylee was in sixth grade and Ramona was in third, Rylee even wanted to bring her to sleepovers. Max and Luna decided they were to close, so they sent Ramona to live with her aunt. Rylee became depressed, so he started to play football. He was a natural. In seventh grade, he became a part of a group of seven friends, and he was with them constantly.
During football season of his sophomore year, recruiters started to come to his games. They loved him. Colleges from all over the country emailed him, sent him mail, called him, just got in touch in general. His father was proud, and his mother was excited for him. The college that stood out the most to them was Rice University in Houston, Texas. They visited twice during his junior and senior year, and Rylee just made the cut score of 28 on his ACT to get in after taking it six times. The tuition of $52,000 a year was no problem for his family. Rylee will be going there in the fall after the road trip with his best friends. He just can't get kicked out.

{“Would you destroy Something perfect in order to make it beautiful?”― Gerard Way }

Lacey was giving her final class of the day, she only had two and both of the Kevin was more than happy to be her practice dummy. Which the guys made enough wisecracks about in the first hour. The whole class was made up of mostly teenagers and couples who probably had nothing to better to do since Vanessa's friends were taking over the beach. Lace was in the middle of telling the small group to tilt the drowning person's head back as she looked down to see Kevin looking at her. "And..-- Keep your eyes close, you're suppose to act like you're about to drown." She said as she covered the tan man's eyes. He chuckled before removing her hand and closing his eyes. "Okay, okay. But, you're not making it easy, beautiful." She rolled her eyes before chuckling, it was weird. Whenever he complimented her, she didn't blush, she didn't chuckle nervously. She was just... indifferent and she didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Another couple of minutes went by and the class was over. Kevin, of course use the mouth to mouth part as an excuse to kiss Lacey before pulled with away with a small smile on her face. The pair got up and walked towards the rest of her friends and Maxwell with her wear his button down shirt to keep warm a bit from the small wind blowing about. He tried to wrap his arms around her but everything she nudged him away. When the pair was talking to themselves after getting herself a drink, Khloe rushed up to her and kissed her cheek. She hugged her close friend before watching her move on to James and Ellie. She looked away and towards Kevin before hearing him scoff softly under his breath. "So, that guy and Khloe have a thing?" Lacey raised an eyebrow in confusion as she turned around to see Khloe kissing Davey on the lips. She could feel her stomach drop and a lump form in the throat as she turned back around. She cleared her throat. "I... I don't know. I'll ask but, she seems a little touchy feely with everyone. You know?"

Lacey shrugged as she tried to brush off as she watched Khloe out of the corner of her eye. By the time she did she was already in the arms of Rylee, asking him something. Kevin watched from over Lacey's shoulder before turning back to the girl in front of her as he took a sip of his drink. "Looks like she going to be touchy feely with you a little more." He said with a smirk just before Khloe hugged her just a little too tight. "Lacey guess what," Lacey had a fake questioning expression on her face. "I'm hot!" Lacey chuckled before loosening her friend's grip on her and looking over at Kevin who had the sly smirk on his face as well. "You sure are, love. About time you see it. But, do you think you've had just a little too much to... You know, drink?" The young girl said before putting a strand of hair behind Khloe's ear to keep it out of her face with a raised eyebrow on her face. Hoping it would stop her friend from drinking so much, Lacey didn't feel like doing three things tonight; 1. She didn't feel like helping Khloe in the bathroom tonight (showering, changing, hold her hair when she finally threw up all the alcohol, etc.) 2. She didn't want to have to babysit her all night. And 3. She, more than anything, didn't want to hear a sob story about her, Sammie, and/or Rylee. She has had enough of hearing about it and its only been a day! She just wished the damn guy would make a decision so the girls could just move on.

She turned her attention to James as he walked up and offered him a smile. "Come on guys, we need to get in the water. It's a beautiful day, and we're at the beach. It's not every day you're at the Jersey Shore." Lacey nodded as she let go of Khloe in order to take off the clothes over her swimsuit. She slipped off her jeans at first, seeing the smirk on Kevin's face as he looked her up and down. And when she removed her shirt, she could hear him whistle towards her making her blush a bit before hiding the redness of her face behind her hands for a minute before putting all of her clothes on her towel. She looked towards Kevin. "You coming with us or are you going to be the boring person who sits on the sidelines." Kevin just rolled his eyes before chuckling. "Nope, I'm going to stay right here. Get another drunk and lay down. You don't get this tan from nothing, babe." He pointed to his body as Lacey rolled her eyes. "Funny, I thought the tan came from you being Brazilian. But, fine. Your loss." She told him as she put down her plastic cup and looked towards Jamie and Khloe. "Last one in the water, buys drinks tonight." She said right before getting a head start and rushing into the shallow into the water. She was about to move farther in before seeing Rylee.

She liked him, honesty. But, he wasn't on her list of favorite people and that would become very apparent if she walked up beside him and just made awkward small talk while they waited for the others to enter the water. So, she just started a little behind him as she looked over to Khloe. She wanted to invite Steve but, he seemed occupied with talking the the blonde witch herself. And She looked towards Davey, he seemed busy besides she didn't feel like having her ear whispered in if all he was going to do was flirt with other girls especially one of her best friends... Not that she cared or anything.

{“Would you destroy Something perfect in order to make it beautiful?”― Gerard Way }

Lacey was looking towards James, Khloe, and Kevin as she waited for her two friends to join her in the water. If she was paying more attention, she would have noticed someone running towards her as they pulled her in the water with them. She screamed slightly in surprise before hitting the water. As she came up for air, she groaned in irritation as she shook her hair to get the water at least somewhat out of her curly locks. She had gotten above the water before whoever pulled her in and was waiting to see who was going to get yelled at making her hair frizz out and her make up run of. Now, she looked just like she did in the morning.

And when she was about to say something, she stopped herself from pushing the person away after seeing it was Davey. She just looked at him, her hand still on her chest as she looked at him. The longer she looked at him, the bigger her embarrassed smile got before she finally realized what was going on. Her smile was lost as she looked toward her hands on his chest and started blushing up a storm. "I am so sorry! I didn't even notice that I was touching your chest. You just pulled me in and I got angry because now I look like I did when I just woke up and I..--" She stopped herself from babbling anymore and she started to think. "Wait a minute. Why did you pull me in the water?" She asked as she moved herself a little farther away from him so there was space between them.

"So I have some good news," Lacey obviously looked a bit confused as she squinted her eyebrows together and frowned a bit before he continued. "I was playing volleyball with these guys who said they were from New York. I asked them what they were doing down here, and the one guy said he was visiting his dad, who just so happens to be the owner of the Bamboo Bar in Seaside Heights New Jersey. The very club that we are attending tonight." As he acted excited, she slowly nodded to tell him to continue. "So I talked to him some more, and he told me that when we get there, just tell the guy up front that we're friends of Jerry's. Lacey looked at him in surprise with a huge smile on her face. "So Lacey, not only can you thank me for getting us free drinks tonight. But you can also thank me for getting us our own free VIP section."

Lace couldn't hold in her excitement and glee anymore. She wrapped her arms around him and wrapped her legs around his waist. "Davey, I swear you're the best! I knew we were friends for a reason. God, I could kiss you!" The Italian lost her smile and started blushing once more once hearing what she has just said. She let go of her friend as she backed up leaving even more space between them then she had done before. She clear her throat.

"Davey, I am really sorry. I wasn't really thinking. I--I just got a little too excited," She said as she made even a little more distance between them as she moved closer to Rylee. "I'll tell Rylee. But, you can... You know, go tell the others. I know Khloe will be excited." She told him with a fake sweet smile before turning around to hide her now very red face. "God, I'm such an idiot." She said to herself as she moved towards Rylee to tell him what Davey had just told her. She tapped his broad shoulder before speaking, with just a mild case of stuttering, unlike with Davey. "So, um, Davey has a connection at the club we're going." Lacey offered an awkward smile as she was about to leave but, something kept gnawing at her and if she didn't get a guy's opinion, she would just keep making herself look like a giant dork in front of Kevin, James, Steve, and Davey.

"Look, I know this is a weird question, we're not that close, and that you're kind of in the middle of your own relationship drama but, I can't ask anyone else." She asked as she messed with her locket. "How do you stay so calm around people you like? And, I get it. You're Mister popular. Mr. calm, cool, and collective Vanderpool but... you have to have a secret to not make yourself not look like so much of an idiot in front of people like... I don't know, Sammie for example, She said with a raised eyebrow. Whether she wanted to act like she didn't see it or not, she saw the way he looked at Sammie and his choice was clear on who he liked. If only he would buck up, grow a pair, and stop playing games. So, spill. What is it? And, in return I'll give you any advice you need because trust me. You need it."

Rylee was sitting cross-legged in the water, people watching. Davey had pulled Lacey into the water, and James was still swimming deeper, almost to his neck. "Careful out there, Jamie boy!" Rylee yelled. "Watch out for sharks." James didn't seem to hear him, or just ignored him. He felt someone tap his shoulder and he jumped a little, frightened. He turned around, ready to ask whoever it was what they wanted. But it was just Lacey."Oh. Hey, Lacey. You scared me a little."

"So, um, Davey has a connection at the club we're going," she said. Rylee smiled, nodded, and said cool. Lacey looked like she was about to turn away, but she instead said, "Look, I know this is a weird question, we're not that close, and that you're kind of in the middle of your own relationship drama but, I can't ask anyone else. How do you stay so calm around people you like? And, I get it. You're Mister popular. Mr. calm, cool, and collective Vanderpool but... you have to have a secret to not make yourself not look like so much of an idiot in front of people like... I don't know, Sammie for example. So, spill. What is it? And, in return I'll give you any advice you need because trust me. You need it."

Rylee pondered the questions. He didn't know why she needed help with guys. He always thought Lacey was fine with guys. Davey seemed to like her. She wasn't the most popular at school, but she had friends. Some being guys. "I just talk to the girls I like, like... people." he said as he dug up some sand, each in it float through his fingers with the tide. "It's not like they're some heavenl god that'll eat you alive if you say something wrong. And you never know if they like you back, ya' know? And now for your advice. How do I get Khloe to not hate me? When she's sober, of course. Because I'm pretty sure everyone knows I'm choosing her over Sam."

"Bend me over your knee?" Steve's eyes flicked as his mind created that image. He wouldn't hate giving Venassa what she deserved. His resolve was almost broken when she inched closer and admitted to liking it. He was so caught up in the moment he almost missed the last part. When she was far enough away Steve sighed, "I'm gonna lose control one of these times, and then I've really fucked up then." He looked around and saw the only people were missing were Sammie and Khloe, "Damn it, did nobody think it was it good idea to watch her?" He saw the half of the Twin Tools that Khloe was hanging around before he lost track of her.

Steve ran over to him, "Max right? You wouldn't happened to have seen Khloe recently or at least know where she went?"

"Yeah, we started making out, it was getting heavy. Then out of nowhere she started freaking out about how she wanted to go home?"

Steve's anger grew as he listened to Max. "You didn't think it was a good idea to take her home?"

"I don't owe her any favors, she just a tease."

"One last question, Leo ever hit you?"

"No, why?"

"Just a shame really," as he finished his sentence he punched Max in the gut with his left hand, "That's for not giving Khloe a ride home, and this is for taking advantage of an intoxicated 18 year old." As he finished speaking he brought up a right uppercut to Max's jaw. He landed on his back and from the looks of things, he was about ready to cry. "Now, you must suck at picking up chicks if you have to resort to molesting drunk 18 year olds. Now, you know what comes next, I find out this happened again to Khloe or any other girls and I might not hold back next time." When he finished speaking a whistle went off behind him, "You say anything to contradict me and I'll speed up our next session."

"You two there, what are you doing?" A male life guard said running up to the pair.

"We were just rough housing and it got kinda out of hand. Sorry about that." Steve said extending his hand to Max.

"Yeah, we're sorry about the trouble sir," Max said getting up.

"Alright, but just keep yourself out of trouble." He turned to Steve and said, "I catch you 'rough housing' again, and I'm going throw out, understood?"

"Crystal clear sir," Steve said nodding. The life guard walked away from the pair. "Now, find your friend and bail. I'm guessing we're gonna take off soon anyway." He saw Ellie and remembered that he last saw Sammie with her. He walked over to the girl and said, "You wouldn't happen to know where Sammie went right? Last time I saw her she wasn't in a good place, Khloe got a ride home from someone and..." Steve plopped down on the sand next to her, "I think Vanessa is playing mind games with me, and I think I kind of like it. I'm sorry, I just needed to vent." Steve sighed. He needed to tell somebody about Vanessa's games with him and he sure as hell couldn't tell the rest of the group.

He looked up and saw Lacey talking to Rylee and felt something in his chest. 'Ah crap. I think I'm getting jealous.' He tried banish his feelings like he has done before, except they weren't going away. He wanted to wave to her, but he was afraid she wouldn't see him. So, he just resigned himself to watch her from a distance. "They never tell you that being a teenager is one long hellish nightmare."

Sammie felt a little better, since Khloe had basically begged at the bathroom door for her, but, she knew that once she was sober, they wouldn't talk. She hated it. But, for her now ex, best friend's sake, she had to give up Rylee. It was a long, and hard decision that she'd thought about while she was in the bathroom with the door locked. Sammie decided it was for the best, even though she did have feelings for him, deep feelings, and when he opened back up, she'd go out with him no matter what happened between him and Khloe.

But, for now, she was single and ready to mingle. She searched her bags of luggage for something decent to wear. Finally, she found the perfect outfit. Since they were going out to a club, Sammie decided she'd go, even if no one wanted her to. She needed to get her mind off everything that'd happened so far. Like, the current Khloe and Rylee situation.

Sammie slipped into a tight fitting dress that, from belly button level down to her lower thigh, was fabric with sequins. Then, everything above that was black fabric. It felt smooth, and kinda shined in the light. The sequins had light dancing off them in every direction, if Sammie just breathed. Since the dress was spaghetti strapped, she slipped on her white jacket, giving it more of a classy look, but it was an alright outfit. To add a little Sammie to it, she put a spiked bracelet on, with black pumps, that were about 4 inches, making her look really tall. The pumps had studs on the toes.

Sammie stood in front of the mirror doing her cat eyes, and playing with her straight hair, thinking about dating, crushes, and people. Then, she felt something deep inside her awaken. As if it'd been waiting forever to.

She liked Steve.... alot.

"I just talk to the girls I like, like... people." She let out a deep breath, she knew that and anyone she liked she treated normally but, whenever they were having a moment or she even thought about leaning in to kiss him whether it was anyone of the guys she had feelings for. She changed back into the insecure person she used to be growing up. She looked from the sky back to Rylee as he started to speak again. "It's not like they're some heavenly God that'll eat you alive if you say something wrong. And you never know if they like you back, ya' know, She snickered as she shook her head softly, letting some water still out of her hair.

"Look, them liking me back isn't even a slight possibility. But, thanks... I'll keep that in mind." She told him as she offered his a one side of her face smile. "And now for your advice. How do I get Khloe to not hate me? When she's sober, of course. Because I'm pretty sure everyone knows I'm choosing her over Sam." Lacey raised an eyebrow as she listened to him speaking on how to make Khloe not hate him. Even though she should have been angry at him, she wasn't and that just got Lacey angrier about the whole situation.

"She doesn't hate you, Ry. Honestly, she doesn't even though I think she should. All you have to do is talk to her, one on one. No one around and let her know what you really think of her." She advised him. She sighed softly. "And while she's my best friend, make sure your 100% sure about your choice between the two of them... While I adore her and see her as a sister, I do care about you too and I don't want you to think that you made a mistake down the road." Lace patted his arm softly before walking back towards the shore. "By the way, if you ever want to talk to a girl who will actually listen, I'm here. 'Sides, I do love a good CW drama story." She said with a reassuring smirk and small wink as she walked away and onto the sand, not really looking towards Davey knowing damn well she would start blushing... again.

As she walked on the beach, she smiled towards Steve and ruffled his hair a bit before looking around for Kevin, Khloe, or even Sammie. But, as she looked around she couldn't find Max either. Did they really just leave? Really? Lacey groaned in annoyance before walking to her car and just sitting in the driver's seat as waited another twenty minutes or so for the others to pile in to either her car or the other car they had brought so they could begin getting ready for the night.

As she got out of the car and pulled into the driveway, she was the first one to dart in the house to start getting ready knowing good well she would take the most time. As she walked up the steps she looked towards Khloe with a sly whistle and smirk as she winked. "Hey, how you doin'?" She said while imitating Joey from Friends. Before heading in the house she chuckled. She couldn't control what Khloe did for Rylee or any other guy. All she can do is disagree and be there for her. The girl quickly walked to her room, with her shirt back in her hand as she rushed to the room and closed the door behind her.

Night Two
| August 10| 10:00 p.m | thirteen days left|

Image
After a tremulous day of partying at the beach the group heads back to the hoouse where Sammie and Khloe aree waiting for them. Steve helps Khloe in her slightly drunk haze, sober up while everybody gets dressed. After about forty minutes everybody is dressed and ready to go. Khloe, Rylee, Lacey, and James pile in a car. Davey, Samie, Steve, and Ellie pile in the other.

The group heads to Club Bamboo, where Davey has a VIP hook up. The bass is bumping so loud that the room seems to thump along. Blue and pink lights give it a dreamy haze. The VIP area is blocked off by a rope but Davey easily gets them in. A waitress leaves a bottle of vodka on the table and takes their drink orders. The VIP area is more like a lounge with long rounded white leather sofas and chic glass tables. Blue lights shine overhead.

On the dance floor people are grinding and jumping and fist pumping their way through songs. In thee center theres a mosh pit of sorts except they're just jumping. To the left of the dance floor is a bathroom hallway filled with weed smoke. To the right a secluded dark area that couples seem to be using to get "acquainted"
The bar has two hot bartenders. Kevin is one of them, the other is a pretty girl. They expertly serve drinks and charm customers. Vanessa sits at the bar a cat like smile playing on her lips. Eager to see wha awaits them tonight.

As Steve entered the VIP area, he could only whistle. "Damn, Davey. Once again you have delivered." Steve laughed as he patted Davey on the back. "Alright, folks I'd hate to be that guy, but somebody does. We need designated drivers. I'll be one and we need another volunteer. As much as I would like to drive two cars at once it just isn't going to happen." As he finished his sentence the sweet aroma of marijuana filled his nostrils. "Nature calls. Sammie, I'll dance with you after I get back. 10 minutes tops." Steve said smiling. As he made his way to the bathroom the grin on his face got larger and larger.

Steve entered the bathroom and was greeted by a wall of smoke. "I think I died and went to Hell, 'cause Heaven can't be this awesome," He said walking up to the sink. He saw lighters go off and on all around him, and somebody was always coughing. When he got to the counter he checked himself out in the mirror, he had put on a black suit, with his tie tied loosely, and his white shirt was tucked in. He shot himself a smile and pulled out his weed. He rolled up a joint and light it in under a minute. Steve walked over to an empty spot on the wall and leaned up against it.

A couple minutes had past and he had about only took a couple of hits, when a voice startled him, "Hey, could I get a hit off of that." He looked at where the voice came from and saw a cute red head, with green eyes, and wore a little black dress that hugged at the right places.

"Uh.. Sure," For once Steve was at a loss for words. He handed her the joint and soon, his words came back to him. "Wait, isn't this the men's restroom? So, why are you here?"

"I saw something I liked so I followed it." She said handing it back.

"And that would be?"

"I'm not telling."

"Is that so, Well as much fun as this had been..."

"Melody,"

"I got somebody waiting for me, So you can keep the rest of that. I'll see you around." Steve said as he headed out the bathroom. While the door was closing behind him, he could have sworn he heard her shouting about how she didn't get his name.

He finally got back to the VIP section in 9 minutes, "See, told you I'd be back in under ten minutes. Let's dance," Steve held out his hand to Sammie. Something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. He looked over with out turning his head and saw Vanessa smiling. Steve felt his pulse quicken, 'Keep it cool, she's not good for you.'His focus shifted back on Sammie.

Khloe had escaped from the confined space as quickly as possible. She looked around, amazed by the life of the party. Everybody seemed to be in a trance and she understood why. She immediately curled into one of the soft leather couches. When the waitress took her order she shook her head "Yeah, no. Do you have a Shirley Temple?" She leaned her head against the couch, her feet tucked under her. She smiled at Davey "This is Amazing Davie" She shook her head "I don't know how you did it." but it's amazing.

The waitress came back setting their drinks on the table. She went to take a sip of hers when a voice behind her said "This club has the best drinks and your getting that." She turned to see a dark haired guy with big pale green eyes and chiseled cheek bones. He wore a rugby team polo and designer jeans. "Uh yeah I am." She said with a straight face but ended up grinning anyway. I'm Charles She nodded "Khloe

Turned out Charles was a nice guy. They walked over to the bar and started talking. He was here with his friends from college and he did indeed play rugby. He asked her to dance but she wasn't too sure if she could even really move in the low cut dress without spilling out so she declined. But she did give him her number when he asked for it. When she came back to the VIP section she was still grinning a little. After being brutally insulted. by Max and the whole Rylee situation it was good to feel.. wanted in a romantic way.

"Will you guys dance?"[color] She asked as she sat between James and Ellie. She leaned her head on Ellie's shoulder [color=#FA3264]"I feel like we haven't talked all day. I didn't get to ask.." She said moving her hair, which straightened almost pooled in her lap "Are you ok." She tugged on a red curl "I haven't seen your gorgeous smile all day" She pulled out her phone and sent a text to Davey

To: Darling D
Ask Lacey to dance NOW

Then looked at him pointedly when he opened it. She glanced around. Sammie and Steve were dancing, Vanessa was seething at the bar watching them. Rylee sat next to James and she forced Davey and Lacey to sit next to each other on the opposite side facing them. She sat next to James and Ellie.

Khloe bit her lip as Ellie mentioned Rylee. "I'll get over it." She said but whispered "It makes me feel better knowing they never did anything. Ry said they never even kissed."before lifting her head up. The truth was she wasn't over him. He was her first love and she deserved at least a month to recoup. She glanced at him, before sipping her drink. Did Rylee have any feelings for her? Was she just a little sister to him too?

"I saw you with that guy before. Did you have a good time with him? Ellie said breaking her thoughts. Which was actually a good thing because it was getting pretty intense in that pretty little head of hers. "You should dance with him" She said but followed that with a self deprecating comment. "You are a beautiful little spazz" She said pointing the rim of her cup at her "And you look so hot that Gatsby would choose you over Daisy" She said with a smug grin. The Great Gatsby had become a recent favorite of hers. She loved the wildness and passion of the 20's. She craved some passion in her life. It would be a welcome change from drama and adorable antics.

She tilted her head forward, deepening the puddle of hair, scented with Moroccan Orchid and pink amber. A welcome feisty change from her usual brown sugar scent. "And I happen to know that James is the most spazztastic dancer in the group, because he was my date to homecoming" She nudged James in the rib lightly. "So don't feel bad" She glanced at Davey "By the way how did you two ever happen." She reapplied some lip gloss before saying "I mean I adore him, but I could never date him. I mean he and Lacey are adorbz because they're so artistic and ambitious but dear god!" She said dramatically.

"I can get you virtually anything," said the pretty, young waitress. "You are in the VIP section." Rylee knew she was flirting with him. He could usually tell when any girl was doing it. The way the waitress, or Chelsea, which is what her name tag read, smiled at him, and batted her eyelashes, it's like she was FORCING him to hook up with her. She ran her hand across his. He thought this was against the rules of the club staff, but guess not.

"Just give me the most extravagant alcoholic beverage you can find," Rylee responded. She walked away with her short miniskirt, hips swinging. He turned to James, who was sitting between him and Ellie. "God, that waitress is desperate." He laughed and pulled out his phone. He scrolled through Instagram and Twitter. He hadn't really planned on dancing or hooking up with anyone. He just wanted to get drunk, go home, and sleep till noon. Sammie was already dancing with Steve, so that wasn't going to happen. God, she moved on fast. It's a good thing Rylee does, too.

He turned to listen in on Ellie and Khloe's conversation. Eavesdropping is his specialty. Rylee has the ears of a bat. Ellie said, "And I happen to know that James is the most spazztastic dancer in the group, because he was my date to homecoming."

"James is a great dancer. If 'great' means 'horrible.' You can't dance to save your life, my friend," Rylee added. He couldn't really talk though, because he wasn't the greatest dancer, either. Chelsea came back, with what she called an Irish Rootbeer, which was really just coffee liqueur, almond liqueur, Bacardi, and Guinness. Whatever it was, it was fabulous. Fifteen minutes later, it was gone, and five minutes after that, so was a beer. You could call him drunk, at that point. He stood up, wobbling a bit. "I'm gonna go run to the little boys' room, and when I get back, if anyone wants to dance, just say so." He looked at Khloe as he said that.

To get into the bathroom, you had to walk through about twenty feet of potheads. A tall man with a deep voice and long beard offered him a hit. "Of course, kind sir," Rylee said. He took a drag, and it sure felt good. He'd only smoked weed twice before. He'd never really enjoyed it, or wanted more. He pissed then went back to their section. "Anyone wanna dance? he asked, arms outspread.

"It makes me feel better knowing they never did anything. Ry said they never even kissed."

When Khloe said that, Ellie's heart fell into her stomach. She then remembered what she had promised Sammie a few hours ago. Then again, was it wrong not to tell Khloe? Ellie Wicks genuinely believed that she was a bad person. Was she becoming even more of a bitch by hiding the truth from Khloe? Then again, Khloe said she was happy. She didn't want to destroy that. Ellie knew that ignorance was bliss, and she didn't want to rain on her friend's parade, which would possibly cause another argument, leading to more silence...

"You are a beautiful little spazz" Khloe said, pointing the rim of her cup at Ellie's face. She stared at it wide-eyed. "And you look so hot that Gatsby would choose you over Daisy"
"Why thank you, Old Sport." she replied in her best Leonardo Dicaprio impression. She was smiling now. It was the widest smile she had made all day. She could smell the scent in Khloe's hair, which made her nose tingle in delight.

"And I happen to know that James is the most spazztastic dancer in the group, because he was my date to homecoming" Ellie laughed louder than usual. "No way! Really?" she said, looking at James with a surprised expression. "I didn't know that you two went to homecoming together! You have to tell me some embarrassing stories later...if you have any."

Khloe then glanced over at Davey, and she did the same. "By the way how did you two ever happen." she asked, "I mean I adore him, but I could never date him. I mean he and Lacey are adorbz because they're so artistic and ambitious but dear god!"

Ellie sighed - not out of annoyance, but as though she were preparing to get something off of her chest. "Dear god, indeed. First thing you she know about Davey: he's an idiot. We dated in eighth grade, before either of us met you guys..." She fiddled with her flower crown, "We sat next to each other in English class and he always helped me a lot with the stuff I didn't understand...He was really shy, so I took the initiative and asked him out. We dated for...three months, maybe two...?" She looked over at the dance floor again, somewhat nervously. "And then all of a sudden, he started to break out of his shell. Which was a good thing at first, until he became really arrogant and stupid...and then we both fought a lot, so he proposed the idea of breaking up. And I happily agreed."

She put the flower crown back on her head, bringing the story to its conclusion. She didn't mention the part where Davey started to gain self confidence once he met Khloe and the gang. Nor did she mention the part where she decided to join the group partly because she found out Davey was in it.

She watched Sammie and Steve dance for a while, and then turned back to Khloe. "So, that's the story of Davey Jones for ya." She stared back at Khloe with a smirk. Maybe she'd ask her about her encounters with Maxwell.

"Anyone wanna dance?" Rylee then asked. Once again, Ellie looked out into the crowd. She knotted her fingers together, and bit her lip in anxiousness. "I guess...I guess I'll go if you go..." she muttered to Khloe.

Khloe blanched, "Well now I see why you keep him at a distance." She said with a slight chuckle. She wanted ti elaborate but Rylee came into view, thoroughly distracting her. That is until she noticed the sway. Ah yes the drunk Rylee sway that always landed him in some girls arms.

Khloe shook her head when a drunk Riley approached the group. She glanced at his eyes, which were sporting a little red tint. "Anyone wanna dance?" He said stretching his long toned arms. She was about to ignore him when Ellie said "I guess...I guess I'll go if you go..." She bit her lip, hesitant before saying "Jamie has to go too!" And dragging him by his shirt onto the dance floor with them.

At first as they approached the dance floor she danced with Ellie. The song was cute and poppy so they could just bounce with the crowd. But then a sensual song came on. At first she simply swayed to the beat but as she got engulfed in the music she became more attuned and more engulfed. Transformed. Her hips rolled with the beat he hands swayed her long hair moved down her stomach with her. Even her earrings seemed to dance. She glowed with confidence. Then she felt a hand around her hips and a hard abdomen against her butt. "Off" She said trying to get to Ellie butt he seemed to almost be... pulling her away. She glanced round in panic before herr instincts kicked in. She pushed him then yelled in her panicking baby voice Rylee! Help me!" She started to get away from him but he just hissed "You little bitch" and knocked her down. The crowd seemed to go on. Some people even looked at her. She wasn't used to this. Somebody always protected her, she never had to defend herself. She felt like the epitome of the damsel in distress except her knight wasn't coming to save her. And that thought alone killed her.

"Jamie has to go too!" Khloe cried ecstatically. Ellie laughed while she literally dragged him by his shirt onto the dance floor. She wondered whether or not James really was the spazztastic dancer her friend had claimed him to be.

She entered the crowd not knowing what to expect. There were people all around her, jumping, screaming, laughing...it was a little claustrophobic. She took deep breaths, and just kept her eyes on Khloe, not focusing on anyone else. Her friend bounced up and down to the beat. Observing her, Ellie did the same. All of a sudden, she could feel something like the weight of the world slowly being lifted up off of her shoulders. She felt free. She felt invincible. A sensual song came on, and she twirled; her dress catching the light and sparkling like a dazzling diamond. The way she smiled, she was a diamond. She hadn't laughed and lip-synched like this in years. And now she felt like her body weighed nothing at all - like she was peacefully arising out of a stormy sea. She smiled at Rylee, and then at James. James...why was she thinking about James so much all of a sudden? Why was she staring at him like he was someone she cared about? Was he someone she cared about?

Whatever he was, she grabbed his hands, and let him twirl her around. It was something she used to do whenever she liked a guy during a dance in high school. She did the same with Rylee, and then turned to Khloe. That's when her heart stopped.

"Rylee! Help me!" she cried in a panicky voice. There was a guy harassing her. "You little bitch," he hissed, knocking her down to the ground. Ellie stopped breathing. She could feel her heart beating like a drum inside of her stomach. And in that moment, the dance floor had turned into a dark, cold room.

"You little bitch," said the middle-aged man, knocking Beatrice down to her feet, which were covered in dried blood and blisters. "Please stop, Travis..." she cried. She was out of breath. Her wheat blonde hair looked white now, and her tiny little hands were shaking. Ellie couldn't tell if it was from the cold, or out of fear. The latter had always seemed unlikely, but now it looked as though reality were burning down all of the hope Beatrice had promised the girls locked in the cabin. "I told you to stay put," he shouted psychotically, "but you don't want to listen, do you? Well, I'll teach you how to fucking stay put..for good!" He pulled out a knife. Beatrice screamed, and Ellie ran forward.

"NO!!!"

Ellie blacked out for a split second. When she could see everything again, she looked down towards Khloe, who was still on the floor. She heard a couple of male voices chuckle, while others gasped, or chanted "oooooooh" like someone had gotten hurt. Ellie gasped, noticing that the man's nose was now bleeding - the blood all over his cheeks and mouth. She then slowly looked down at her knuckles, which were starting to hurt, and realized that they too were covered in blood.

She looked at the man again, who was staring back at her with the same wide-eyed expression. She backed away slowly. She couldn't breath. She couldn't think. She knew dancing was a bad idea. Suddenly, she turned and bolted back towards the VIP area, bumping into James and Rylee with enough force to probably knock them over.

"Why am I such a bad person? Why am I such a bad person?..." she kept repeating in her head. Once she had reached the private section, she curled up into the fetal position, and started panting dramatically. She felt like her lungs were completely devoid of oxygen. "Calm down..." she muttered to herself. There were tears in her eyes, but they weren't streaming down her face. "Calm down calm down calm down....Shit. Fuck. Shit...." She was rocking back and forth. Once she realized what was happening and what had happened, she silently started to bawl. Why was PTSD such a bitch?

She opened her mouth in an attempt to scream, but her voice was drained out due to the wailing of the loud music.

Her lungs still felt like they were full of helium, so Ellie decided it was best to go get some fresh air from outside. With shakiness, she arose from the corner, grabbed her stuff, and tried her best not to get knocked over by any drunk party-goers. She took one last look back at Khloe, Rylee, and James, and then bolted out the front door of the club into the night. She'd be doing herself and her friends a favor by leaving; at least they wouldn't be getting kicked out of the Bamboo for her own violent actions.

It was a little chilly outside, but nothing completely unbearable. She walked quickly across the dark brick sidewalk, her heels clacking loudly against the pavement. She swore she could see Davey and Lacey talking through one of the gates just outside the club. She stared at them for a while, and then continued on her way. She made no decisions as to where she was going; she just kept walking straight. Fortunately, her path was illuminated by lamplight, so she wasn't left in complete darkness.

Now she could breathe normally again, so Ellie stopped striding once she reached the outside of a small Irish pub. She didn't go inside - she just sat on a tiny black bench that looked invisible in the black hues of night. She sat and watched the world go by until her lungs were full of air, her eyes were dry of tears, and her mind was free of emotions. With haste, she pulled her hair out of its bun, and slipped her aching feet out of the six-inch heels she had forced herself to wear. Ellie put her flower crown back in her bag, although she was tempted to throw it in the garbage beside her. She stared up at the stars, her brain a little less crowded with thoughts.

Something was gnawing at her, and she knew what it was. Since the beginning of the trip, she had only caused the group pain and dismay. If she had comforted Khloe, maybe her and Sammie wouldn't have drifted apart. If she hadn't seen Sammie and Rylee kiss, maybe they could have been an item. And if she never had come in the first place, she wouldn't have ruined the group's clubbing experience by punching that horny guy in the nose and igniting a flame of trouble. So many things were her fault...

And so Ellie was left with a decision that she painstakingly had to make. She twiddled her thumbs like she was deep in thought, but she really didn't have to think about her choices at all. She just wanted to go home. She had been looking forward to the trip for months, but unlike what her therapist thought, Ellie could not find something or someone that would make her whole again. She would just have to be broken for the rest of her life, causing chaos and heartbreak wherever she tread...

So in that moment, Ellie pulled out her phone, and sent a text to Khloe.

To: Khloe
From: Ellie
I think I'm going to pack up my stuff 2moro and go home. It's for the best. I'm sorry about everything...

She sighed, closed her eyes, and leaned against the bench. In a way, she felt like a dead corpse. She pulled out the notebook hiding in her bag, uncapped a black sharpie marker, and wrote a giant 'YOU SUCK' addressed to herself across one of the pages. She stared at it for many moments, not taking her eyes off of the page.

Funny - just a couple of minutes ago, she had been the happiest girl in the world. And now she was right back where she had started.

"Well, that was..--that was just..-- Wow. Davey that was amazing," said Lacey, her red face giving the impression that she was flabbergasted. He chuckled at her adorableness. "It was, wasn't it? See?...There's no reason to be afraid of me."
"And I really, really like you too and I want to be with you." she continued. Davey was beaming now. However, his happiness wouldn't last for long.

"...But, I'm leaving in two week and..-- and I don't know if we could last in a long distance relationship like that."
And just like that, his smile had turned into a frown. Lacey was right. He thought of something to say. All he could think about was how much of a bitch reality was. "But, I like you, a lot and I don't want to go back to just being friends with you," she said. This gave him at least a little bit of hope. "I'm... confused, and conflicted. I don't know what you want me to do." she said, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

He chuckled at her last sentence, but it came out with sad, mirthless undertones. "Well, some things are unpredictable, Lacey. Even I'm scared of telling the truth sometimes. Unlike you, I've never been the greatest at expressing my emotions out loud..." He took her hands in his, "I usually save that for songwriting."

He looked down for a moment, giving a short sigh, and then returning his gaze to hers. "Listen, Lace....I don't want you to do anything. All I want is for you to do whatever you want to do. You've got a bright, bright future ahead of you, and you have every right to pursue it." Every word that he spoke, he meant. Davey believed in freedom to its very core. He believed in freedom for Lacey, even if that meant he wouldn't get to be in the big picture next to her.

"But even though there's this future looming over the both of us, that still doesn't mean we can't live in the here and now." He gently stretched out her fingers in his, and kept opening and closing them. "Good chess players think three or four steps ahead. However, the great ones only need to think one. I believe that if we both want to stay as more than just friends, that's what we need to do. We just need to think only one step ahead, until we both come to the end of our trip." He rubbed his thumb against her cheek again, and intensely locked his gaze with hers. "We're just going to take it one day at a time, and test the waters together, just like we did at the beach. And whatever happens, happens...Okay?" He leaned in closer to her ear, and whispered.
"Whatever happens, happens."
