Introduction
Torn Lands is a land that contains kingdoms of Corstin, Aeulf, Lestin. The entire south-east side of Torn Lands is called the Waste which equals roughly to the size of the kingdoms and where the Dorminates came from. On all four sides of the Torn Lands spread out the Distant Sea. Every human and Awakens have the power to use magi. The kingdom of Lestin is the home for Slithers. It is the smallest of all the kingdoms and is bordered on the east side by the Waste, north by Aeulf, and south and west by the Distant Sea. No one other than a Slither knows what happens in Lestin. Aeulf was once part of Corstin, but won its independence. It has been a separate kingdom for one hundred forty-three years and has become the shared homeland for both the Elves and Bruenifs. Elves; capitol Everick is in the mountainous forested northern area where mostly the humans and elves reside and a few Bruenifs. This is where artisans, weavers, and fletchers of Aeulf mostly reside. Bruenifs; capitol Dremble is in the open dry plains of the southern part of Aeulf that spread all the way down into Lestin. Bruenifs mainly live in underground tunnels leads into a cavern with an underground lake or the few oasis that are scattered along the plains. Dremble is built around one of the oasis. Rugged elven and human mercenaries live in the plains also. These plains birth the miners, blacksmiths, brewers of Aeulf. Aeulf is bordered by both Lestin and the Waste on the south, Corstin in the north and east, and the Distant Sea in the west. Corstin is the homeland of the humans and is the biggest and most powerful of the three kingdoms. Corstin is a melting pot and has a everyone in there even a few Slithers live here in a small community up in the peak of the mountain range. A new capitol was built after Aeulf became independent, the new capitol is called Hope. There are two different mountain range in the Torn Lands. One starts in the north-east corner of the Torn lands and runs diagonally across until it straightens up to cross into Aeulf. Ending near the homes of the Bruenifs. This one is called the Bridge to the Sky. The other one circles the entire kingdom of Lestin. This also helps the Slither stay isolated from the rest of the world. These mountains are simply called the Wall.
The Two Military Groups
The Order is a special branch of the Corstin Kingdom military. They are called Hunters who specialize in exterminating the Dorminates. Also during wars they are sent in to cause havoc and death in the enemy ranks. They give up the ability to bend magi to their will for a weapon that is made of magi and a Dorminates soul. This process is called Rebirth. Each weapon is different from another and sometimes the weapons have the power to grant the user will over one of the elements of magi. The weapons are called Mirrors. The highest ranking members in the Order can summon the Dorminates from inside their weapons that to do their bidding. Their leader is called Judge. The members of the Order are arranged into seven ranks. The first rank is called Page its where the Hunters learn more about there Mirrors and how to use it. After that they are given the honor of becoming a full fledged Hunter. The next three just divide the regular hunters by Mirrors. The ranks are Dún, Fada, and Raon. Dún is the rank for close melee hunters, Fada are long melee Mirrors, and the Raon are the range Mirrors. Most of the time they are called Hunters They work in squads of three to four that patrol the border of the Waste with a Ranger as the leader. The next rank higher is Ranger. They command the squads of Hunter patrols along the borders of the Waste. Before they become Rangers they are evaluated and given a number that is tattooed upon their skin. This number ranks their power compared to the Rangers and higher ranking, also it helps the Order keep track of the strongest within the Order. There are always three hundred numbered Rangers. The next are the rare ranks of the Shadows who proven themselves worthy by fighting a large number of Dorminates and moving up their number by awakening the Dorminate inside of their Mirrors. If their Dorminate awakens they are automatically given the lowest number in the Shadows. Also if a Shadow hasn't awaken his Dorminate the current Judge shows him the way. They are the commanders of the Hunters during raids into the Waste. Currently there is fifty-seven Shadows. The last and highest rank is called Judge who commands every single Hunter. He also has the privilege of being number one. The current Judge is unknown all, but king Dorth. The top nine Shadows with the Judge as their head make up the leading council as the Ten. They command all the Hunters from the Pages to the Shadows.
The Keepers are a more advanced breed of Human, Bruenifs, and Elves who have primitive steam-powered armaments. There highly advanced in technology and they almost always use rifle and revolvers type weapons. Being a human hybrid they have enhanced there magical powers to let them create things out of there one element. There males and the females lean built. They have light skin and orange or purple eye color. There skin is clear however. Bruenifs now have enhanced magical powers to let them create things out of there one element. There males and the females stocky built there fur is longer giving them a sort of fluffball affect. There eyes are yellow and there fir is that of a solid color. There ears are longer then any Bruenif. Elven hybrids also have enhanced magical powers to let them create things out of there one element. There males are usually muscular built and the females lean built. They have dark skin and glowing white eyes. There ears are longer then most elves. They work out of twenty bunkers spread throughout the northern shores built in pairs.
