“The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared.”
-Louis Lowry

Name
”My name has shifted for what seems like eons, but the original shall never change.

Theodoros of Alexandria (Surnames were non-existent during his existence)
Currently; Theodore Dover

Nickname
Theodore is the name he goes by now, which leads to Theo, Ted and Teddy.

Age
21, right? (2244)

Ethnicity
”Do not let my home town fool you.”

100% Greek

Sexual Orientation
We were so open back then: now, we seem so closed off.

Bi-sexual - the lands he grew up in were very free for this sort of thing.

Height
6’2”

Build
Muscular/Toned

Skin Tone
Originally Pale Brown, now an Olive tint

Hair Color
Brown

Eye Color
Dull Blue/Hazel

Scars/Tattoos/Piercings
While Theo was born to a family quite well off, that didn’t mean that he did not fall upon his own hardships. His feet are permanently callused and scarred from the walking that he did throughout the land before he became a full fledged vampire. His arms have a slightly torn look, with light scars riddling them - since they were there before his change, he cannot remove them. Piercings are a big no-no for him, as well as tattoos.

Quirks/Habits
Teddy will often drift off mid sentence, his train of thought completely leaving him as his mind wanders. He has seriously tried to focus, honest, but the fact that he has lived so long grants him numerous amounts of memories that can be triggered by the simplest of things.

Theo has also been known to argue with himself when nobody is around. Not to say that he is completely insane and hearing voices in his head; not yet anyway. But he can visualize past versions of himself and his sister. He can see them so clearly, hear them so well, remember their personalities to a fault that it is almost like he is deliberating with the past. This only occurs during the ‘dead hours’ of the coven, and when he has a serious problem that may go against a moral he has put in place.

During his mumblings, it may come out as a multitude of languages that he has learned over the years as he assimilated throughout the European World. His most common, of course, is Ancient Greek.

Insanity - Theo has survived for years upon years - the closest vampire in his coven is almost 800 years his junior. After so many years of simply watching people die and humanity grow, it isn’t uncommon for a bit of madness to set in. Theo already can tell that its effects have begun to ail him, and he fears that the longer he survives, the more he may lose his mind.
Death - As much as Theo would love to embrace death, his fear of it is stronger. While death is where his sister and his friends currently reside, life is where certainty lies. Death is unchartered territory: this earth is quite chartered. Theo would rather live in fear of death than try to swim the sea of darkness himself.

Personality
[| Collected | Brooding | Patient | Headstrong | Controlling | Depressive | Disconnected | Reminiscent | Honest | Warm |]

The infamous leader of the London Coven; a shell of a forgotten man. Both terms can be and are used to describe Theo of Alexandria, a man disconnected with the modern era and yet embraces it with an odd passion.

Theo, without his vampirism getting in the way, is a caring, loving gentleman. He works hard to make sure that the job got done, yet never insists that others work harder for him. His gentleman tendencies would never fail him as he constantly assists any person that he finds in need with whatever job they have. His love of life lead to his extremely proficient leading ability; he takes the view of those beneath him first, as they are the ones that he has been placed to lead (granted, as the oldest, he is leader of the coven by default).

Years of death and destruction, however, have left the man a husk; a shadow of his former self. Theo has become much more disconnected and bitter with the world; with so many years alive, Theo is constantly living in a different reality if even the slightest detail reminds him of the past. Constantly, he will stare out windows and contemplate his very existence, just like the philosophers he once looked up to once did. Theodoros is much more pensive than his former self, who would jump headlong into fights and enjoy the life around him. That isn’t to say that he still doesn’t do said things, nor that his leadership abilities have faltered; no, instead they have just diminished after years of simply existing.

Which leads to his vampirism and how it affects his personality. While a great leader amongst vampires, Theo has become very controlling and vindictive towards those that wrong him. He loathes those that he feels are attempting to steal from him, and hates those that attempt to undermine his authority even more. He has become quite controlling as well, even if it is subconsciously - things that belong to him are to be controlled by him, and that is that. This also has lead Theo to being very defending of what he deems belongs to him. Theo is also prone to fits of rage, fits that he sometimes cannot control, which all lead back to his self loathing. He hates how he has changed into some beast that he cannot recognize, a man without a soul. His fits of rage, his possible insanity: they are all marks of a man reaching the end of his life.

Yet there is one trait that holds him together: companionship. Once Theo makes a friend, he rarely lets them go. He treats them with the utmost respect, assists whatever way he can and goes out of his way to make their lives better. In essence, his coven is what is keeping him from true insanity.

History
While the history of a 2244 year old vampire would take hours to explain, Theo has written down the most important parts .

Born to parents so long ago that their names escape him, Theo was the son of a wealthy politician and his wife, who had both been born in Alexandria immigrants from their homeland of Corinth and Athens. The year was 230, with the Hellenistic Empire completely divided and Greek way of life spreading throughout the known world as the dominant culture; well, alright that is a lie. The Romans were becoming the most prominent, as the Hellenistic Empire was divided and unruly. Nevertheless, Theo grew up with the true Greek heritage and way of life.

Yet he was also an odd child for a family so wealthy. He used to always go out onto the streets of Alexandria and put forth his workload for the good of the city, as the new Ptolemaic capital. He cared for all of those around him, sharing his food with his fellow co workers, assisting the women on the street as they carried their belongings, and was a prominent man of the community - even though he was fairly well off. Yet Theo never let on he was a man of wealth, opting to earn his own living with whom he called friends. He became known throughout Alexandria as a thought provoking, intelligent and kind individual; he had wished to meet the great thinkers and had even heard of a man near Italy called Archimedes who sounded like the most fascinating man in the world. Life got better as he was betrothed to Sousanna, the girl he had courted for years.

There was just one problem: Theodoros’ health was horrendous. While they had healers and doctors, not one could figure out what was wrong with the man. He had coughing fits that ended in blood, constant shortness of breath and random episodes of weakness. It was when he collapsed while assisting his sister that his parents took action. As the only son, if he were to die their line would be vanished forever - not to mention, the boy could become a leader amongst nations if he survived. So after many failed attempts with doctors and physicians, Theo’s parents did the unthinkable: they went south beyond the border. Out in the heart of Africa, they knew of a tribe with a witch that was said to be able to cure anything for a price. So they went and searched for him.

The witch, actually, was covered completely when they found her in the midday. After examining the dying boy and stating the obvious, she bluntly told them that if they did not leave their son with her for a week, he would die. So his parents eagerly paid their due, and left their boy to hopefully get better. As soon as they left, the lady cackled, and removed her veil whilst indoors to reveal a pale, hungry looking woman. Theo barely remembers much, but the piercing of his skin will always be remembered.

Theo returned with the veiled lady a little while later than expected, a pale hue to him. Within that time, he learned that she was his master, and he her fledgling vampire within the city of Alexandria. She taught him the ways of a vampire, how to hunt and the lore and restrictions he would have. She had dragged him into her world of death, yet also gave him earthly pleasures he had not experienced before; needless to say, he was no longer an innocent, cheery man. When she left him on the city outskirts, her hips swaying, she said she would contact him within a month. He never saw her again.

At first, the loneliness with his condition was unbearable, and he committed an act he deems was the worst moment of his life. He ran into his sister before his parents, cloaked to protect him from the sun. She approached him, hugging him and questioning his getup when he felt it; the loneliness was unbearable as he was unable to tell her what had happened to him. Taking her aside, Theo walked her back to her house, and without any thought, attacked her. He had no idea what was going on, he just wanted to feel less alone in the world that he had been throttled into. When he finally remembered clearly again, she was laying on the floor, changing as he had. When she came to, Agria lashed out at him, screaming profanities and insults. Theo tried to explain his reasoning to her, but she refused to listen. However, the deed was done; Agria and Theo were now officially vampires of Alexandria, and they could do nothing about it.

At first, they tried to live normally - continue with their daily commutes and pleasantries. This went downhill fast when they both began to get hungry, and they fed off of a poor peddler man. The feeling of guilt became overwhelming when his sister told him that she hated him just after dropping the poor, lifeless man to the ground. However, this continued for a few years without any suspect - Theo and Sousanna did get married, but he was unable to produce any children, to which his parents blamed her when he knew that it was probably his own fault. Agria rarely talked to him, but they looked out for each other as they learned of the ups and downs of vampirism; especially the dislike for light, which was hard to avoid in a desert city. For a while, Theo thought his life was finally returning to a normal he could understand; until, of course, Agria committed suicide. She had given him a note, asking for his assistance with something - when he arrived, her headless corpse was on the floor, her ceremonial sword between the body and the head.

Theo grieved for days; he was now truly and completely alone. He refused to go to her funeral, staying inside of his house instead and staring blankly at the wall. Not knowing what to do, he tried to find the witch that had changed him, the temptress that had caused the problems. After weeks of wandering, however, he found nothing. There was only one thing he could think of doing, and that was following his sister in death. The idea frightened him, but his mind was made up. 6 months after the death of his sister, Theo attempted suicide. Thing was, his wife found him, and stopped him. Through the tears, Theo decided to confide his darkest secret to his wife. To his surprise, she simply nodded, and left, returning within a few hours to state that she would keep his secret and even become his source of blood. To put it simply, their first experience with the pleasurable toxin was colourful and wonderful.

Time passed, others aged - Sousanna aged, yet he did not. Theo sent himself into a slight exile so that people would not question his vitality. His wife, however, did not follow him; over the years, she grew weary of being his food bank, and left him. Not knowing what to do, Theo remained in an exile for many years, keeping to himself until his name became a memory long forgotten as the years went on. At least, until 30 BC. Cleopatra lost the war to Octavian, and Alexandria became Roman. Knowing that there was nothing left for him in Alexandria, Theodorus (name now latinized) set sail for the capital, and became a Roman citizen. After many years of uselessness, he became a soldier, and a damn good one at that.

It was here that he met Julius and saved his life (To be discussed later). After that, Julius stuck with him for a while before venturing out on his own, which left the aging vampire alone once again. Theo took the time to travel the European world, learning multitudes of languages and cultures, pretending to be a different person in every country with roughly the same name. The number of wars he has been in is vast, only being exceeded by the amount of companions he has bedded; yet it isn’t because he is a nymphomaniac. No, Theo found himself growing ever lonely as the years went on, in need of constant companionship to keep his spirits up. It was here that he met his another one of his future fledglings, saving her from a marriage she apparently did not want. He now resides in London, after taking a blood slave/pet that he finds absolutely fascinating. Time alone will tell what happens to him now.
