|{Life Philosophy?}|

“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soulmate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.” ― Marilyn Monroe

|{Childhood/Family Life}|

Lottie loved her childhood, sure she wasn't spoiled but, it was good enough. Her parents were madly in love, she had siblings that looked up to her, and they sort of had that picture perfect middle class family. And, it only got better when they moved to Savannah. The family lived there for years before they had to move to the 'big city' for her father's new position as a stock broker on Wall Street. And they wouldn't have moved if it wasn't a job way up the company ladder. But, it was and even though it killed them to leave, they didn't have a choice. They needed the money. They found themselves in a high rise Duplex Penthouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. And their life was great; their father could finally spoil them and just throw around money like nothing. And while all the others were okay with it, you could said Lottie stayed close to her roots, not really liking the high class life style of going to parties and acting like someone she wasn't just to impress people who she would probably never see again. But, she made it work and life was good... Until it took a turn. At the age of thirteen, Charlotte was in a taxi going home. It all happened so fast that she can't really remembered what happened. The only thing she really remembers is waking up and not being able to hear anything. From what they told her parents, her hear just somewhat popped when she and the driver went head into the back of a semi truck. It sucked but, they began learning how to deal with it. Starting with getting her a cochlear implant (one she barely uses anymore), and then making her learn how to sign. And their life went on. But, during this summer Rosie and Charlotte decided to move in on their own into a loft not far from the Upper East Side where the have split up the house between Harvard (Lottie) and UCLA (Rosie) stuff.

|{Academic Career}|

Charlotte is the type of girl you don't expect to be super popular because of her personality but, she actually is really popular within the high school. She the girl most people can't help but like; she's gorgeous, intelligent, as sweet as sugar, and comes from a family where her dad is always out of town leaving his gorgeous penthouse loft empty and ready for a good party. Yes, you heard right little Miss. Sunshine knows how to the throw a good, hell a great party. Which might have helped her get into office during her sophomore year. And, her win was, in her words 'close enough' when in actuality it was a landslide, she just doesn't like bragging about it. She has been President for two years now and has never promised something she couldn't get for the student body and she intends to keep it that way all through her senior year before walking across that stage onto becoming president of a new school.

And, before you ask no she doesn't have much of a love life; she has never been really kissed like anything more than a peck, she has never had a boyfriend, and she has never went on a date. She just hasn't had time, all through high school she had her mind focused on her father's cheating, or Harvard, or her presidential campaign, and no has really made her forget about those things. But, she is determined to have her first.... ANYTHING before she graduates high school.

|{Plans for after high school?}|

She has already chosen her college of choice and what she wants to major in that being dramatic arts at Harvard University. She then plans to graduate from there at the top of her class just like she did in high school with 5.0 weighted GPA and find her way onto go onto Broadway and get in a production of the musical, The Last Five Years as the part of Cathy Hyatt. She then wants to travel the world and see every type of culture there is. She wants to live her life to the fullest and finish every single thing on her bucket list. Starting with doing the Camino de Santiago in Spain. All before settling down with an amazing man, her three kids; Sawyer Beau, Iris Marie, and River Rose. (and their golden retriever) in a nice, vintage Savannah, Georgia home.

"Dude, it fucking reeks all the way down the hall of weed. I guarantee you Long is going to be up here any second to threaten to evict us again." Brent had just walked in after spending much of the day in Greenwich Village selling to college kids. His brother had discovered a goldmine in NYU students last spring and had passed the territory on to Brent. As well as the day went, his high mood was sufficiently lowered when he returned home. Not just because his brother had become increasingly reckless about their drug use in their building, despite how persistent that their landlord Mr. Long was about them not doing that, but because "home" wasn't really home anymore. It hadn't been since his parents had relocated to Arkansas for his mother's treatment, and even more so in the past year as his brother's personal drug habits had spiraled out of control.

"Chill out, bro. When Ching Chong Chang comes I'll just blame it on Mrs. Beady down the hall. You know she lowkey hits a blunt every night." One look at Cameron, and Brent knew that he was high on something. Their apartment smelled strongly of marijuana, but that was nothing new and Cam seemed to be on something stronger. If Brent had to guess, he'd say cocaine. The white remnants on their coffee table would have confirmed that. His brother had a bright grin on his face that almost reminded Brent of the brother he used to know, years before he stopped doing the drugs and the drugs started doing him. As his gaze shifted up towards his brothers brown eyes though, he was met with emptiness. Cameron's offensive and crude sense of humor was still there, but his real self wasn't.

"She's eighty-something years old and uses an oxygen tank. I don't think that story'll go over well." Although Brent was known as the "bad boy" by his peers, he was the more sensible and reserved one when it came to the Barclay brothers. At home, he was more of the cautious nerdy kid that he was for most of his life, than the careless badass he had transformed himself into during high school. He had to be. It wasn't like Cameron was going to step up to the plate, and if both of them were as reckless as he, they'd probably be homeless or dead by now.

"What the fuck's wrong with you tonight? Damn, I'd think you'd be grateful that I didn't wake your ass up at six AM this morning like mom used to do to me every fucking morning before school starts." Brent thought that Cameron hadn't even caught his last comment, because as he had said it, a familiar blonde walked out of the bathroom and carefully placed herself on Cameron's lap. After kissing her for a good thirty seconds, he responded to Brent's remark with a hint of anger.

"You were passed out until three thirty. Not like you could've if you wanted to." He was bothered by his brother bringing up their mom, and even more so that he pointed out her absence. By now, both of them were used to their mother being sick and needing to spend most of the past few years in a different state for treatment. They wanted her to be there if it meant she had more hope for a future. But still, Brent was the baby of the family and he missed her. No matter how hard he acted, he loved his mom and would have done anything to have her back home and healthy with them.

Cameron had already returned his attention to the female, whose name had slipped Brent's mind. She had been Cameron's girlfriend for a couple of weeks and he was sure that his brother had called her Caroline, or maybe Callie. Something with a "C". All that Brent was certain of, was that she was addicted to coke and even worse, that she didn't pay for it when she used with Cameron. He didn't want to be around her any more than he wanted to be around his brother, so their impromptu make out session was enough of a reason for him to disappear into his bedroom. It was 8:30 and although he had skipped out on the first day of school this morning, he didn't plan on skipping the first party of the year too. Sydney was hosting tonight, as she did every year, and Brent knew that her house would be filled with rich dirt bags willing to drop a couple of dollars on some low grade drugs. It would be a good opportunity to make some money, get Cameron off of his back, get out of his bad-vibe apartment, and see some of the few people he actually liked.

"Wherever the fuck you're going, bring that shit with you." When Brent returned to the living room and made it obvious that he was leaving, Cameron only pulled a hand out from his girl's shirt to point to a brown paper bag on a table. "We need to start moving these pills, man. Get rid of all of that shit by the time you come home." Brent took the bag and stuffed it into his pocket, and although he wanted to tell Cameron that he should get off his ass and start moving the drugs instead of using them, he didn't. He just needed to get out of there and a fight with his drugged out brother would only spell bad news.

After stopping for one-dollar pizza, Brent boarded a subway to the upper east side. It usually took twenty minutes or so to get to Sydney's area, but he chose to get off at a stop earlier and walk the rest of the way. The air was considerably crisper than it had been at this time of day a month ago, but Brent appreciated it. He was wearing his signature leather jacket, a navy v-neck t-shirt, black skinny jeans and black high tops, so he wasn't dressing for a heat wave anyway. For the most part, his outfit fit the color standards of Sydney's party, but that was only a coincidence. He would have worn the same thing if it was a neon themed party, too.

He knew which building was Sydney's because he had been there countless times visiting her mom. It was a weird thing to think about, and Brent knew that just as much as Sydney did, but her mom was one of his best customers. The woman was as wild as a twenty-one-year-old with the bank account the size of a seventy-year-old millionaire's. He had an unspoken agreement with Sydney that he never bring up her mother, or how he knew her, as long as she turned her head the other way when he made a couple of bucks at her parties. Maybe he was blackmailing her, and maybe that was wrong, but Brent had never claimed to be a saint. Even if he hadn't known which building belonged to her, though, it would have been obvious by the long line of teenagers streaming out of one. Sydney's grandfather must have been good friends with everyone else who lived in the neighboring townhouses, since he was sure those rich pricks normally wouldn't take kindly to flashing cameras and squealing girls outside of their million dollar mansions at this hour. It took almost thirty minutes for him to inch his way to the front of the line and when he did, he was relieved that it just took saying his name once for the bouncer to let him in.

Despite being in the home many times, he wouldn't have recognized the space as being the one that he was normally in. It probably had to do with his lack of interest in decor, but Sydney had also transformed the place well for her party. He hadn't even reached the dance floor level, but the second floor of the home looked elegant and lively and he could already spot kids who he was sure would want to buy from him tonight. However, the person that caught his attention more than anyone else was someone who he had no chance of making any money off of. It was Charlotte Buchanan, the hot blonde standing a few feet away from him. Her long legs were exaggerated in lace heels and her body complimented in a tight, plunging black dress. It was enough to turn him on, even more than the normal, uptight, Little Miss Perfect usually did.

"Damn, Buchanan. I didn't think Sydney would call the Fun Police in this early in the night. What're you here to do? Pour all the vodka down the sink? Make sure that everyone has their number two pencils sharpened for the first day of classes tomorrow?" He smirked, finding it too easy to sink back into his playful banter against the girl, even after not seeing her for months. "I will say, you're looking pretty good tonight though. For a second I thought you were the fun twin. I would've expected an angel like you to be in white, but I guess you wanted to match me with the black."

To: Piper Vine
Ur gonna pass me with no hello? Damn I thought we were better friends then that. Anyway tell Jane I have a ton of pills for her. She owes me after going MIA all summer

His attention only shifted away from her briefly, as he spotted Piper, Jane and Sienna passing by. He sent a quick text out to the first of the three and then looked back towards the blonde with a small smirk. "But really, what's a girl like you doing out on a school night? Is your lover-boy/partner in presidency on his way?" Even Brent, one of the lesser involved people in the social scene thought that Charlotte and Connor were an item.

Piper was a little taken aback by Jane's small outburst about her peeking under the door. Honestly Jane and Piper have changed in front of each other a plethora of times before. Maybe it was because of Jane's recent body image issues. Piper just uttered a quick sorry before letting the conversation drop. There was no point in talking about such a thing now. When Jane finally came out of the stall, Piper grinned at her. "Don't worry you look fine. Trust me I would tell you if you didn't." She was known around school to give pretty brutal advice when it came to people's appearances. Piper watched the short interaction between Sienna and her sister before Esmee left.

Soon Sienna had linked arms with Piper and Jane and lead the threesome out of the bathroom. "Yeah I guess it would look bad if we are caught by the paps running out of here right?" Piper joked, but there was a little truthfulness in what she was saying. She liked socializing, just not at Sydney's house. Well like Sienna said, there was no running now. She was stuck here. At least she gets to see all of her friends tonight. But, Piper did feel bad for Jane. Hopefully Sydney wouldn't try and bring up this summer. Piper couldn't help but smile when Sienna bumped her. "Yeah I guess you're right. We will greet the queen then go about our business." The red head teased.

As if all too soon they arrived on their floor. Piper took a deep breath before getting off of the elevator. Soon Sydney was in her line of sight, regrettably so, and Piper gave her a short smile as they approached. Sienna was the first to speak up. Now would be a great time for alcohol like Jane mentioned earlier. Piper started daydreaming somewhat when she heard Sydney compliment her. "Thank you, I also didn't notice the looks since I get them all the time. But, I should've known the great Sydney Vale would look wonderful as always. Great looking party too." Piper glanced around the room as if to put emphasis on her compliment. This was all the interaction with Sydney that she needed for the night. She said what she had to and now she just wants to have fun. But, the atmosphere got a little uncomfortable when Sydney spoke to Jane. Really did this summer piss her off that much? Piper turned her head and simply rolled her eyes before looking back at the group of girls.

Finally Sydney did something smart and order some shots. Normally Piper didn't like drinking too much because it wasn't good for skin health, but tonight would be an exception. Plus, she had plans on flirting with some of the boys from Fordham Prep. It's been a while since she has gotten any action. But, once again the awkward level increased when Vincent came over. Piper noticed the way he looked at Sydney and Sienna. Something was going on here. Maybe Sebastian would know? He acts like he isn't very fond of Vincent. When the drinks came out Piper picked hers up and downed it in one go. Sure it burned her throat a little, but oh well. She looked at the bartender and smiled handing her glass back. "Just keep them coming." As she got her second shot, Sebastian walked over as if he was a knight in shining armor.

Piper took the second shot much like the first one and sat her glass on the counter. "Hey Sebastian!" Piper greeted animatedly. She has finally found her outlet to get away from Sydney. But Jane beat her to it and took the boy away to go dance. Honestly Jane could've at least taken her along. But, Piper's second chance came along when she got a text from Brent. Sure it wasn't what she wanted to see, but nonetheless she was saved. But, really? Did he just bring up Jane and pills in the same message? "I would love to hang out with you guys all night, but I have some flirting to do." Of course she wouldn't say she was going to go look for Brent. Also technically she wasn't lying she was going to also look for the boys from that prep school. She smiled at Sienna apologetically knowing it wasn't right to leave her like this. But she wasn't one to be pushed around so she should be fine.

Piper put her phone back in her bag before grabbing her third shot and disappearing. She didn't even know that Brent would show up here. Piper looked high and low and finally found her friend flirting with Charlotte. 'Poor girl' Piper smiled to herself. She continued to approach the duo figuring she was doing Charlotte a favor. "Is he bothering you Charlotte?" Piper teased as she walked up behind Brent and punched him on his shoulder. Well Piper had to admit one of her goals was to get Connor and Charlotte together, so she didn't want Brent to try and seduce her with his...'charm'. "I will relieve you of him for a few minutes." Piper grabbed Brent by his arm and found a good secluded corner for her to speak to him in private.

"It's the first party of the year and you're already sending me stuff about Jane? At least tonight try to avoid her? I just want to find guys and flirt not deal with drama." She knew Brent, or more so hoped, that he wouldn't try anything tonight. He could be a little unpredictable though. But to be a good friend, she wasn't going to hound him about it.

While it had been great while it had lasted, Sienna's tolerance became just a bit tested as time with on. At first, it had been the near taunting and near cruel examination of Jane through Sydney's nearly scathing eyes. The comment about the dress making Jane look "innocent," as if Jane wasn't to a certain degree, had Sienna shooting her a warning look, ready to jump to her friend's defense if Sydney decided to delve deeper into this. Again, they did need to speak with Jane. It was urgent. They needed to let her know that they were there for her, but they could only do so much if she couldn't open up to them. That much she had thought they agreed on earlier in the summer in terms on confronting their friend. This need to be unnecessarily mean and near condescending was uncalled for and Sienna was not having it. Especially not on the first party of the night.

The second minor incident, which really solidified Sienna's ire, was when Vincent appeared. She had been ecstatic when Sydney called for shots and had grinned. "Finally!" She exclaimed and would have camped herself against the bar had Vincent not slid himself over. For a second, Sienna had forgotten herself. Forgotten that they technically weren't close anymore and that therefore, she should not be filled with as much elation as she was. That but really, she wasn't supposed to be allowing her eyes to rove over him, appreciating the way his clothes hugged the right parts of his athletic form and how...well, how truly male he was. Her eyes should not have flashed with that brief show of hunger, her entire body should not have felt like it was suddenly vibrating, and her smile damn sure should not have been as warm as it was. Yet and still, for just a few moments, she was not Sienna who found this same heartbreakingly attractive guy a cheater and someone to not be trusted. She was thirteen year old Sienna who had stars in her eyes every time he simply said her name.

However, it was only a second after he complimented the group that her countenance shifted. Just as she had been admiring him, she caught the tail-end of him doing the same to her - which should not have brought a flush of pleasure to her skin - before turning that same gaze to Sydney. That bitch, came the unhindered thought and Sienna's smile dimmed just a bit, her eyes narrowing just a bit. She probably wasn't as quick with her recovery as she wanted to be - as Sydney would have been and damn her brain for even making that comparison - but she snatched her gaze away from them to take the others in. She had not even noticed Sebastian coming over to actually feel a thing in his presence, Jane had distracted herself with his presence, and Piper seemed to be staring at Sienna and the two disgusting lovebirds, but she couldn't be sure. She simply masked her face with a particularly bright smile, though it lacked the typical sweetness her smiles could be known for. Instead, her eyes cut to Sydney as Vincent offered her a shot, a brief glare that could have easily been mistaken for a simple glance or not directed towards the queen bee - before landing on Vincent. "Cheers." The alcohol was only a slight bite to her throat, but the barely discernible pain in her throat wasn't the only casualty of the night.

She had been so fucking stupid! So utterly foolish to believe...she didn't even know what she had believed would happen when she saw Vincent. Did she expect them to chat like old times? Laugh about some private joke? Dance? Hook up? She honestly did not know what she expected and the sudden flare of jealousy heating her was extremely unwanted. However, as with all emotions, it came - unbridled and unchecked. Vincent wasn't hers, had not been for a while, and she had no claim over him. But that didn't stop the small part of her that wanted to exert some kind of possession over him - in front of Sydney - to make its voice be known. However, she also wanted to dance and the two people she could have escaped with apparently just bailed on her. No point in staying where I'm obviously not wanted, she thought dramatically before settling with a pleasant smile, directed at Sydney. "Well," there was a brief pause there, "This has been fun...and cozy," she said, eyeing the space between the asshole who cheated on her and the bitch he cheated with (and she really had wanted to finish the day off liking Sydney). "But there's a dance floor calling my name and...so...I'll leave you to it." As mean as it was, she let the last words come out with awkward pauses, doing so purposefully to leave the air between them tense and unnatural. It was the only payback she could offer since she had promised to not let Sydney know she knew about them.

Not saying another word, Sienna turned on her heels and walked back in the direction of the elevators, not even stopping to see Charlotte or even smile at the sophomores who liked her. She did not look at anyone or anything until she was on the elevator again and the doors were closing, leaving her with the last image of seeing Sydney and Vincent standing too damn closely, causing her throat to constrict with emotions she shouldn't have anymore. Shutting her eyes briefly and then opening them, Sienna let a breath she had not been aware she had been holding before tugging her phone from her bag. Instantly, she rolled her eyes at Vincent's text. She pursed her lips before offering him another message.

To: Vincent
Id tell u 2 come & find me, but I don't wanna piss of ur bae

Once the elevator doors opened, she blended in with the crowd of dancers, falling in line somewhere in the middle of the writhing bodies. The heavy bass of the song playing made something within her shake and instead of focusing on the emotions that had stirred, she focused on the way it made her body feel. She didn't want to do emotions tonight. Not anymore.

Connor was barely relieved when Vincent and Kelley finally piled into the town car and they were off to Sydney's apartment. They were still running late and even if the two cousins sitting next to him didn't have a care in the world, he wanted to be there on time. By now, he was sure that ten guys had already made advances on Sydney. It wouldn't be something new that Connor would have to deal with. He was used to his own brother getting with Sydney, despite knowing of his crush on their friend, but it still bothered him. He didn't think he was crazy to think that there was something there between he and Sydney, and he even thought that she acted like it sometimes too. It must have never been enough for her to actually make a move, since in the lifetime that they knew each other, it was always him trying to initiate something and her playing it off as a joke or just being "cute". Connor was resilient enough to never let that get him down though.

Almost as soon as they were admitted into the party, Vincent deserted him with Kelley. He was almost positive that it was to go find Sienna, but he wouldn't have been surprised if Vincent had finally thrown his hopes of getting back with her to the wind and was going to go seduce some "lucky" sophomore girl. Connor didn't mind Kelley, she could be fun sometimes when her crazy was toned down enough, but he felt awkward being alone with her. "I think I'm going to go find..." His voice trailed off as he received a text from Charlotte.

To: Charlotte
I just got here too so no drama that I know of... but we are at Syd's house. Wouldn't be surprised if we missed some soap opera worthy drama already ;).

By the time he looked up from his phone with the intentions of apologizing for getting sidetracked, Kelley was gone. He shouldn't have expected her to want to hang out with him any more than he wanted to hang out with her, but her leaving first certainly made things easier. Like most of the guests, Connor had decided to stop on the second floor of the townhouse first before moving up to the more lively, dance floor level. He was going to text Charlotte again to ask her where she was, but as he aimlessly moved through the crowd, he spotted her before a text was necessary. Luckily for him, Piper was pulling Brent Barclay away from the blonde. Connor didn't have any real problems with Brent, but he didn't like him either, and that distaste probably would have been enough of a deterrent for Connor to avoid Charlotte until she had finished speaking to Brent.

He took her appearance in quickly, but even a second of staring at her was enough to take in that she looked amazing. Charlotte had always possessed model-level beauty, even though she rarely, if ever, acknowledged that herself. Sometimes, Connor thought he took it for granted that the girl he called his best friend was so gorgeous, but the looks of admiration and more accurately, lust, always reminded him that Charlotte was grade A hot. "You look... amazing. Not that you don't look amazing normally, but... you know what I mean." Leave it to him to freak himself up over one of the girls he felt most comfortable around! Where did that come from? He tried to relate it to the fact that at that very moment, he had also spotted Sydney a few feet behind Charlotte at the bar. Charlotte didn't drink and she definitely was not friends with Sydney, but he couldn't think of any good excuse to trick her into going over there with him. "Wanna come say hi to Syd with me?" Okay, she definitely wouldn't "wanna". "Please?"

Hailey looked at Charlotte and the others as they made their way inside for the assembly. It wasn't long before someone shouted her name out as she turned around and seen Sebastian pulling her into him for a hug. She smiled as they embraced briefly then smiled while looking at him. "Nice to see you again, Sebastian." She was excited to see him again and he still looks the same. Her eyes went to Sienna's as she looked at herself and Sebastian. She stepped away after taking a small sip of her coffee and sitting down in a seat nearby. The assembly wasn't exactly like she had thought - It was actually interesting and not boring at all. She heard muttered rumors about a party at Sydney's tonight but after their first meeting, she had already decided in her mind that she was not going to go.

After seeing and hearing Sienna and Esmee leave for the party, she was up in her room, getting her laptop ready for Netflix. She wanted to go to the party but didn't want to cause any unnecessary drama on her first night out. She groaned slightly while hearing her phone chime. It was a text from Sienna, asking her if she was coming to the party. Hailey grasped her phone while biting onto her bottom lip, not even responding but instead she sat her phone down beside her on the bed. Her favorite show Once Upon A Time was starting up on Netflix, just as her phone chimed again. This time, it was Sebastian, asking her if she was going to Sydney's for the party. Again, she bit her lip but this time thinking as she paused her show then jumped off of her bed.

Hailey went over to her closet and rummaged through the enormous amount of hangers then found something amazing to wear. A small smirk came over her lips as she went into her bathroom and showered then got out and wrapped a towel around herself and her hair. She then applied a small amount of makeup on her face then emerged from the bathroom. Her eyes were fixed on the dress that laid across her bed and the heels that sat on the floor before her.

She honestly hoped that Sienna wasn't going to be mad for not answering her text but given their friendship, she was going to get over it. Hailey sat down at her vanity area and applied clear nail polish to her nails then waited for them to dry. She then applied the same to her feet. She didn't bother with whole getting a pedicure or manicure thing since its only been two days since she had that done and it still looked good as new. After that was done and dried, she applied a second coat of makeup to her face then got dress. She reviewed over herself in the mirror then unwrapped the towel from over her hair, letting the now curly hair bounce well above her shoulders. After looking over herself in the mirror again, she grabbed her black clutch purse then proceeded to walk out of her room and towards the elevator.

After spending a lot of time at Sienna's, she knew her way around the Alvarez's place. When the elevator doors opened, she stepped on it and hit the button for the lobby. Seeing the doors close, a smirk appeared among her lips, once again. She walked out of the elevator when it reached the lobby area and stepped off. Everyone's eyes fell on her immediately as she had got a few cat calls. She walked outside and the doorman looked at her with a smile and tipped his hat towards her. "Do you know where the address of Sienna's and Esmee's whereabouts are?" She asked as he handed her a small slip of paper. "Sienna told me to hold on to it in case you change your mind." Hailey took the slip of paper and opened it.

She saw a driver coming up and got inside of the limo, handing the driver the slip of paper and the driver nodded his head and took her there. Honestly, she was not nervous at all. She was actually ready to party with her fellow peers. After a few minutes of driving, the driver stopped in front of a six story house and Hailey's eyes gleamed with excitement. She thanked the driver then got out she waved him off. Hailey went up the door after getting snapped enormous amount of pictures by the paparazzi. She stood there in a pose and smiled then went up, where she was let in.

She asked a few of the girls where the party was and they told her. She thanked them with a smile and walked over to the elevator, hitting the appropriate button and waited for the elevator to take her to her designated destination. After the elevator and the doors rolled opened, Hailey stood there for a moment, with a pose then proceeded to walk off the elevator. Her ears twitched at the mutters as she was enjoying the attention she was getting. She wondered how long would it be before someone she knew or someone that didn't like her, spotted her as she maneuvered her way through the sea of people. She walked over towards the bar and leaned against the counter, ordering herself a Cosmo and taking a small sip from it when it was placed before her.

Charlotte continued to look for Connor or... anyone really just so she didn't seem like a wallflower. She was about to get back on her phone and ask where Connor was just when she saw Brent Barclay walking towards her with a smirk. She took a deep breath and sighed. "Here we go already." She thought to herself before he started to speak to her. "Damn, Buchanan. I didn't think Sydney would call the Fun Police in this early in the night. What're you here to do? Pour all the vodka down the sink? Make sure that everyone has their number two pencils sharpened for the first day of classes tomorrow?" She bit her lip, rolled her eyes, and scoffed softly as she watched the smirk on his face grow slightly. Really? Already? Brent Barclay could never give Lottie a break. Whenever they saw one another, someone was going to be a smartass and start a little bickering back and forth conversation. And since Lottie had too much pride, she didn't stop until someone pulled her attention elsewhere. "I will say, you're looking pretty good tonight though," She tossed her blonde locks over her shoulder as she placed a hand over her heart. "Why, thank you. I can't believe I just got a compliment from future criminal, Brent Barclay." Sarcasm. Something she used a lot of around him. " For a second I thought you were the fun twin. I would've expected an angel like you to be in white, but I guess you wanted to match me with the black." And stiffened a laugh by covering her mouth as she shook her head. "Oh, without a doubt. It's my goal to match with you at every event you sell at. I mean, why wouldn't I want to match colors with the biggest pain in my ass?" She smirked as she circled around him. She watched him go on his phone and turned to see Sydney and her little group of followers. Not to say, she didn't like the others but, when they were with Syd. She couldn't stand it. Without her around they were different and not just a cookie cutter version of one another like they were with their little leader around.

She turned her attention back to the migraine in front of her as she raised an eyebrow. "But really, what's a girl like you doing out on a school night? Is your lover-boy/partner in presidency on his way?" She scoffed, trying to hide the red that was almost forming on her cheeks. "I'm not a nun, I do have friends and a social life outside of that school. And, Connor and I are just friends and he's coming." Before either could say something else, Piper interjected. "Is he bothering you Charlotte?" She looked him up and down before shaking her head and chuckling. "Nope, he's just being Brent, you know a giant pain."

"I will relieve you of him for a few minutes." She smiled towards the red head as she felt her phone go off. "Thank, darlin'. I think Connor's here, so great timing." She watched Piper pulled her away as she waved towards him and winked. "Bye, Brent." When the two were gone, she looked at her phone to see that it was Connor. She looked around but, before she could text him. She heard someone talking to her and smiled when she saw it was Connor. "You look... amazing. Not that you don't look amazing normally, but... you know what I mean." Lottie looked towards the ground as she slid a piece of hair behind her ear. Sure, she was used to compliments especially with how she was dressed tonight. But, those were just guys that wanted her in bed. This one was from Connor! Connor, the guy she has held a torch for for years now. She saw him looked behind to Sydney and it reminded her of where she stood in his eyes. She softly cleared her throat and lost her smile a bit before he turned back towards her. "Wanna come say hi to Syd with me?" She raised an eyebrow as she put her hand on his forehead. "Are you sick or dying or... somethin'? Do you really think I 'wanna' say hey to her?"

"Please?" She straightened out her dress and looked down at her heels before sighing, giving in. "You are so lucky you're my best friend. Now, lets go before I change my mind." She told him before stopping him from walking as she grabbed his shoulder and whispered in his ear. "But, if she starts anything, Connor. It's your fault for what I do to finish it." She was kidding, of course. For the most part. But, the last thing she needed is for Sydney to ruin her mood especially so early in the night and she definitely didn't want to be the first dramatic thing to happen during the party that people would gossip about the next day.

Charlotte's smartass responses were just what Brent needed to bring himself out of the pit that dealing with his brother had put him in. With every sarcastic reaction she spat back at him, his smirk grew wider. For someone who had a reputation of being such a teacher's pet, Lottie knew how to be cheeky, and man, did he find that to be attractive. When she asserted that she and Connor were just friends, he was quick to create a comeback: Yeah, tell me that in five years when you two are married and you're sleeping next to me while he's on a business trip, because you're both too boring for your own good. Before he could get it out of his brain and say it out loud, Charlotte showed up. If it had been anyone else, he probably would have been annoyed that they cut in and let Charlotte get the last word in, but it was Piper and he liked her. Plus, he was expecting a response from her regarding his text about Jane. So, he allowed Piper to drag him away from Lottie, but not before mockingly blowing her a kiss when she sent him off.

When he and Piper were a good distance away from the rest of the crowd, he leaned back against a wall. He looked her up and down, before meeting her gaze with a small smile as she began to speak. She responded to his inquiry about Jane, but not in the way he wanted. Avoid her? Why did he suddenly need to avoid the girl that had essentially kept his family afloat for a few months. Brent was well-aware of Jane's body image issues but he didn't pity her. She was filthy rich, living a life that people literally dreamed of having. Poor her, for thinking that her one hundred pound body wasn't quite as skinny as Taylor Swift's. He wanted to roll his eyes simply at the thought of it. Brent was ignorant to the pain and difficulties that an eating disorder brought, and like much of the world, brushed Jane's issues off as vanity. Even if he did want to take her seriously and feel guilty for fueling her illness, he needed the money too badly to let his conscious get the best of him. "She owes me money, Pipe." It wasn't true. Whenever Jane bought from him, she paid upfront and never even flinched when he upped the price of a single pill to a ridiculous amount. Even if she didn't really have debt to him, he still did feel like she owed him her business.

He didn't think that Piper would understand what he was going through though. She probably wasn't as wealthy as Jane, but Piper surely had her own nice sized trust fund waiting for her. She was a cool girl, but she wouldn't... she couldn't... understand what it felt like to be living in his shoes. "I'll play it cool tonight, but you've got to get her to hang out with us sometime this week unless you wanna cough up the cash for her." His smirk should have signified that he wasn't being serious. He wouldn't really ask Piper for money. Not because he wasn't sure that she had it, but because they actually were friends. Besides, it wasn't just the money that he wanted from Jane. He could have asked her for a couple hundred dollars and gotten it within a day, but he felt like he needed her to be addicted. He needed her to be sick so that he could always rely on her for business, since it was becoming more and more apparent to him that his brother wasn't going to do anything to help their family out.

From behind Piper, he watched Kelley Hadley approach them, his smile only growing bigger when she joined their group. In true Kelley fashion, she didn't hesitate to blurt out the first thing on her mind. Just as she claimed him to be looking sexy, she was too. She always looked good though. After not seeing her for most of the summer, he was glad that the blonde was making an appearance at Sydney's. It was one more person to help him feel less stressed out, and unlike Piper and Lottie, Kelley could help him physically feel less stressed too. As the two girls spoke, he dug through his pocket, feeling pills and small bags, before finding a dime bag of weed. He was sure that Piper wouldn't want to smoke, but Kelley was always willing to do... well, anything. "Pipe's going to ditch us for some pansy Fordham Prep guys anyway, so shall I roll one for us?" he looked to the blonde as he waved the small plastic bag in the air.

He was lucky that Charlotte agreed to come find Sydney with him, since he wasn't ignorant to the past between the two blondes, but he couldn't stop himself from chuckling at the whispered threat in his ear. She was the last girl that he could imagine being menacing or aggressive. Lottie got the rap for being some innocent, sweet princess, and while Connor knew her well enough to know that she wasn't all sugar and spice and everything nice, he knew she was more sweet than sour. Maybe he should have taken the comment more seriously though, since it wouldn't have been the first time that Sydney had tried to start something with her and she reacted more expressively than he would have imagined. Even to this day, years after it happened, Connor was still surprised by how heated Charlotte had gotten when she finally had enough of Sydney's tyrannical ways. He appreciated it, because even if he was incurably head over heels for Sydney, the sensible part of him knew that she did ask too much of him sometimes, and that he had become just another disposable option for her. But if Sydney recalled the event, he was still under her spell enough to readily agree that Lottie had been dramatic.

It was too tough for him to give up hope on Sydney some day returning his affection for her, and that's why he paraded Lottie around for nearly thirty minutes in search of Sydney. He sent her multiple texts and even tried calling her, to no avail. No one else knew where she was, but then again, he was asking Saint Jude's guys who probably had never had the honor of saying more than a few jumbled words to the queen bee. He never crossed paths with Sienna, Piper and Jane, and eventually, feeling too guilty to continue wasting Lottie's time, he glanced back at her apologetically. "I really thought that Devin was serious when he said he saw her come down to the kitchen, but yeah, I guess not. I'm sorry, I'm ruining your night. Want to go back up and dance or something? We can find your sister, I'm sure she's having fun. Plus, you have to give me the run down on what's happening Sunday." He led her back to the elevator and pressed for the second floor. Charlotte didn't drink alcohol, and Connor wasn't a big drinker either, but he decided he could go for a beer now. And maybe he was hoping that Sydney was somehow going to magically appear at the bar too, but he wouldn't say that aloud.

Sienna's heart had been thudding loudly in her ears ever since she and Vincent had been nearly about to kiss. The interruption, though unwanted, left her with heated cheeks and the thunderous sound of her heart trying to beat its way out of her chest. She had a feeling where the night could have gone - they could have very well just went back to her place or his, and she would have let it happen. Would have surrendered despite the warning bells going off in her head and the fact that she would have to answer to her friends the next day about why she was running late to school or where she had been. She would have taken the risk and not given a damn about what anyone else had said. However, they had been interrupted from doing anything too scandalous in Sydney's elevator and her skin was so heated that the drop in temperature outside had her gasping in surprise. Despite her own nervousness and the voice in her head going a mile a minute in her head, she couldn't help but press herself closer to Vincent on their journey to the diner, hand still clasping his.

When they got to the diner and placed their order, the anxiety that their encounter with Sydney had left him with disappeared. He was sitting across from the most beautiful girl in the world and there was nothing that he could complain about. The diner wasn't the nicest restaurant he could have taken her to, and certainly not the most romantic, but they didn't need that. His relationship with her was far past the stage of trying to impress one another. Even though Vincent knew that chivalry was going to be necessary if he ever got the chance to win her back, he wasn't trying to be anyone but himself tonight, and that was easy with Sienna.

Once there, they fell into a sort of easy chatter, easy only in the sense that after placing their orders a veil had been lifted. It was still different, considering the time apart from one another, but Sienna could only smile across the table from him, a genuine and wide one. "I like this," she admitted, fiddling with her hands before her. "I miss this. Just us...hanging out." Although he had originally only suggested the diner for milkshakes, his appetite had gotten the best of him and he ordered a burger and fries as well. The fries had come out first, and he tossed a few into his mouth as she claimed that she missed the two of them hanging out like this. It brought a smile to his face quicker than he would have liked, but he was relaxed enough to not care about seeming to eager. He missed this too, being able to hang out - even in a non-romantic way. Things with them would never be the same as it was before they dated or while they dated, but tonight was coming close to it. If he couldn't have her as a girlfriend, he wanted to at least be friends with her and be able to do things like this.

Sienna could only grin stupidly at the relaxed expression on Vincent's face. More than anything - more than the late night game sessions, them making out, or even those times where they could just cuddle up to some action film - she missed that. The smile on his face, the easygoing nature she had grown up with. She did not get to see it often when they were on either St. Jude's campus or Constance's. Hell, even when he was with friends sometimes and she would see him from afar, this peacefulness in his countenance wasn't always present and she couldn't help the rush of elation that flood through her. She sipped at her strawberry-banana milkshake, immediately recalling why it was her favorite.

"Yeah, I miss it too," he replied honestly, though the smile on his face quickly transformed into a smirk at her next remark. The admittance had her cheeks feeling hotter than ever and in an attempt to not blabber anything else out, she decided to add playfully, "Though I bet I can still kick your ass in Killzone." The game she was referencing was an old shooting game Sienna played with her brothers and Vincent, the two of them always winding up on opposing teams. She still played, though those times with him and her two favorite guys were definitely some of her favorite memories. "Yeah, right. Me and Ricardo were a powerhouse back then, and while you were wasting your time on tour, I was breaking out that old Play Station," he laughed. If he wasn't so happy to just be there, with her, recollecting like that on all of their good times would have stung. Now, he was hopeful that maybe they wouldn't have to miss those times anymore. Maybe they could start doing this again. "I'll challenge you tonight, if you really want me to prove it to you," he said, only breaking his stare towards her when the waiter approached with their food.

Chuckling at the shared memory, she reached over and stole a fry while retorting, "Oh yeah, how could I forget the 'powerhouse duo?'" She even used her fingers to gesture the over-exaggeration of the phrase, popping the fry into her mouth soon after. "Let's be real, you and I both know Ricky carried most of the weight back then and for the record..." She leaned a bit closer as if it were a secret. "I am always down for a game, even when I was on tour."

Before either could say another word, the waiter came back again, this time with Vince's burger. Sienna wasn't hungry, but she was more than willing to steal more fries from Vincent. She was just compulsive like that. "Anything else?" The redhead male asked and Sienna gave Vincent a look before cheesing to the waiter. "Actually, could we bag all of this up?" She turned back to Vincent with a competitive smirk. "Apparently, I need to teach some people a lesson." Her smirk only formed into a grin when Vincent replied, "Yeah, you're going to need to teach yourself a lesson on why you should never challenge a professional."

Rolling her eyes to Vincent's challenge, Sienna prepared herself to leave with him, checking her phone to see that Esmee was on her way home and inquiring where Sienna was. Jane was obviously drunk as fuck and Sydney messaged her, but Sia was having too much fun and actually enjoying herself to allow the queen bee to ruin her night. Opting to ignore Sydney, Sienna turned her phone on silent as they headed out. Hailing a cab wasn't that much of a hassle and before she knew it, they were in front of Vincent's building. And that was when Sienna's heartbeat picked up once more. Vincent brought girls back to his apartment very frequently, but he never felt out of his element. His apartment was his bachelor pad and even if he was bringing back some beautiful model that he had met at a night club, his heart never pushed against his rib cage like it was doing now. Vincent was good at one night stands and talking a girl into sleeping with him. When morning came, they would go on their separate ways and the most he had to worry about was the pesky texts he would get over the next couple of days from her, asking when he would treat her to the dinner he had promised. It wasn't like that at all with Sienna. It was so much more complicated and Vincent knew that if he went through with what his body was telling him to do, he might end up regretting it come morning.

She had been here a few times before, once when his parents had bought it for him and threw a housewarming party. Cynthia had made it clear that Sienna couldn't avoid the event and while she sulked, she couldn't help but smile at Colette's emotional self practically sobbing over her baby boy "growing up." It made her squeeze Vincent's hand lightly, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. The other times she had been here...not all of those had been innocent. Those were the surprising nights when Vincent would text her at some party or bar, and Sienna would tell herself she didn't care - that she couldn't ignore him. But she didn't...she never could. The last time she had been here alone with him...the memories of slick skin sliding against slick skin, warm breath mingling, hands gripping at hair and soft moans in the quiet air of the night - they all rushed back to her and Sienna gulped quietly when they stepped onto the elevator.

Just video games, she reminded herself mentally. We're just gonna hang out and play video games. It'll be fun. Her attempts at trying to convince herself these things were not truly successful as her nerves were still dancing on end by the time they made it up to his place. Once the door was opened, however, and Sienna was inside first, she looked back at Vincent in silence. Screw the games, was the only thought in her head before she rushed at Vincent, lips pressing urgently against his and hands coming up to grip at his hair. They could pretend to just hang out some other time.

As he shut the door behind them, he decided that he would try to get through video games without pressing his lips to hers. He had fought the urge to grab her hand at the diner, or slip his under the table to squeeze her knee, and he could do it again, he hoped. He was going to comment on how both of them had had to pretend this night never happened if their moms asked, since at least his would be enthusiastic enough to hope that something more than just video games had happened. But, the playful remark would have to wait, because she beat him to the chase that he had been putting off all night. He was caught off guard at the sudden advance, but recovered quickly, pushing her back against the wall and returning the kiss in a move that suggested he had been waiting for this moment all night. His hands found their way to her waist and even though he was more than excited to just be making out with her, both of them knew it wasn't going to end there.

By the time they ended up in his bed, he was feeling comfortable enough to peel her eyes away from her body for a moment to remark, "And for the record, you forfeited the video game challenge, so that's an automatic win for me." That win was much less important to how lucky he was feeling already, but he couldn't resist reminding her of it. The laugh burst forth through her lips, low and coming from deep within, eyes shining with want and amusement. "Just shut up and kiss me, asshole," she replied and pulled him back down to her, willing the night to take its time in bringing forth the harsh rays of the morning and reality.

Friday, September 5, 2014// 3:00 pm

As soon as the last bell of the day rang, Sienna was more than grateful to be getting out of Constance. While the year had only truly begun today, all of her teachers decided that it was imperative to stress their students out immediately. So, Mrs. Ellsworth assigned them six different readings, and Mr. Darcy assigned them an online assignment due by Monday at midnight. Not to mention the fact that she had spent the majority of the day sending out invites to Hailey's Saturday birthday party, confirming her own photo shoot, and trying to even decide what she was going to wear. It seemed that the weekend was going to be spent with her getting little sleep, though she couldn't complain. The reminder of her evening activities, in the form of a few hickeys she had to cover up in a hurry, had her grinning to herself secretly all day, despite Sydney's mood.

Once the morning had come, Sienna had hurried home from Vincent's place, purposefully snatching up one of his jerseys as a source of warmth despite the jumper from last night. It had been a reluctant wake-up, what with her trying to press herself closer to Vincent and wanting to ignore her phone. However, Esmee had been persistent. Luckily for her, one of their drivers was waiting outside and rushed her home. The shower had been a brief affair and with barely any time to decide what to do with her hair, Sienna twisted the long locks into a classy French braid, draping the end over her shoulder. Her uniform was definitely her most casual look and a very light makeup for her more tired days was what she fixed herself up with before heading off to school with Hailey and Esmee. Again, walking was not an option as she didn't want them or herself to be late, especially not on the first day. And what a day it had been!

Now that it was over, she was ready to get her weekend started and the first step to that was getting with her favorite girls. She found Esmee easily and the sisters walked down the bustling hallway, Sienna texting her friends. All of the students were buzzing about an actual black light party and their plans for the weekend, their chattering a nice background as Sienna sent her last text, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

To: Jane

There was little time for Hailey to respond to Jane's inquiry before Brent interrupted them. Normally, his presence would have sent shivers down her spine, but she was far too gone to be freaked out by his presence. In fact, she felt like her head was spinning to a point where she could barely focus on him, despite being less than a foot away. She was very lucky that Sydney interrupted the three of them before she could accept the pills from Brent, or even acknowledge him. Really, she was even more lucky that Hailey had been standing close by too, because without inquiring further, Sydney decided that the pills belonged to Hailey and berated her for them. Jane knew that the pills were for her, once she realized that it was a bag of Ritalin, but what was she supposed to do? Tell Sydney that no, the drugs that Brent Barclay was giving out were meant for her, and not a girl that Sydney already hated? It would just cause more drama, and there was no way that in this state, Jane could come up with a lie to cover for knowing Brent well, let alone buying drugs from him. Hailey could take the fall on this one, she decided.

As Sydney whisked her away, Jane stumbled over herself and nearly took down a cocktail waitress in the process. So, when the blonde ordered someone to take her up to her bedroom, Jane couldn't do more than attempt to mumble some sort of protest, before giving in. She spent the night in Sydney's bed and only woke up the next morning because Sydney forced her to. The first day of real classes were always a poor experience for Jane, who could never focus on what teacher's were saying and could never get the whole "good first impression" thing down. On the positive side, she did have a couple of her harder classes with Lottie, which meant that maybe, if the blonde was less of a priss this year, she could cheat off of her exams. Plus, Sydney seemed too occupied with how successful people claimed her party to be, Piper and Sienna running off early, and the whole Hailey thing, to bring up Jane's summer again. That alone was enough to make her push past her horrible hangover and get through the day with only a few tears when she was forced out of bed so early.

Jane's last class of the day was French, and was the only one that she actually felt comfortable in. Being fluent in the language would suggest that she would ace the class every year, but that never ended up being the case for Jane. "Homework and class participation are a large part of your grade," the teacher advised the class, as Jane's attention was focused on how many likes her latest Instragram post. It had been posted at four o'clock that morning and she had no recollection of doing it, but her collar bones looked good so she decided to keep it up.

When the final bell rang, she was one of the first out of the classroom. The weather was still warm enough for her to come and go from the school without a jacket, so she didn't need to stop at her locker, and headed straight for the front door of the school. The hallways were crowded with other students who seemed just as eager as her to get out of school and on to their weekend, but Jane couldn't find any of her friends in the masses. Although she had a couple of classes with the girls throughout the day, they had little time to talk about the night before. Jane had skipped out on lunch, claiming that she needed to sort something out with her guidance counselor, and in every mutual class she had with a friend, the teacher lectured them enough where there wasn't a break to chat. When Sienna texted her, Jane momentarily stopped her trek down the hallway to respond, and send a couple of her own.

To: Sienna
Yes!!!!!! I'll tell Isaac to set us up for a session at 4. Tell Esmee thanks again <3 love love love her

The last thing that Jane remembered from the previous night was dancing with Sebastian, so wasn't upset at Sienna for leaving her. She wouldn't have even known that Sienna had left early, had she not reread their texts from last night, and heard about it from Sydney all morning. Regardless, she would claim that Sienna "owed her" if it meant that they could have a fun and relaxing afternoon of yoga and shopping. She sent a quick text to her personal instructor at Pure Yoga East, before continuing with her messages.

To: Sydney
PY East and shopping with Sia?!?!

To: Sebastian
Last night was fun!!

To: Charlotte
What's the English assignment? I forgot to write down what she was saying.

The light streaming in from the open doors reminded Jane of another reason why she hated school. It was beautiful out, and she had missed a perfectly good day of tanning and relaxing to be walled up in a school. Coming from having wasted her summer in the middle of nowhere, days like this taunted her with that reminder. She had considered flying out to LA tonight to visit her mother and enjoy the warmer weather that California could offer her, but she had agreed to go to Hailey's party this morning, completely unaware of their interaction the night before. Next weekend they had Piper's party, which Jane wasn't going to miss, so she was banking on jetting somewhere warm the following weekend. Until then, she just had to hope she could survive the drama that was sure to ensue of the next few nights. In a perfect world, Sydney would agree to come out with them, Sienna would apologize for leaving the party early, Piper and Sydney wouldn't be at each other's throats, no one would suggest stopping for dinner, and they could be the best friends that people thought them to be.

Jane was able to find Sienna and Esmee outside the school within a few minutes and instantly gravitated towards them. "Thank God that's over," she sighed dramatically. "My head is already killing me, and it's only been one day." The headache was probably also related to her last meal being a few crackers forced down her throat by the housekeeper who had been tending to her upon Sydney's request last night, but stress seemed like a likely factor too. It wasn't a secret that Jane was not a school person. "Yoga will fix it, though. I need to stop home and change before we go, so, who's coming?"

He wasn't very far into his journey to the Yorkville Public Library when his phone buzzed with a text from Piper. Brent was well aware of her issues with Sydney, but yeah, he did think that she could just walk up to her and ask for the drugs back. Even if they weren't really friends, they pretended to be, and if he didn't know Piper well enough, he would have believed their little act. The two girls knew each other well enough that Brent was sure Sydney would at least acknowledge that she took them, and then Piper could make up some excuse for why she needed them back. What excuse exactly, he was still unsure of, but he was set on making her get the drugs back.

To: Piper
Sticky's Finger Joint? The one in Murray Hill. My treat but I'm walking so I won't be there for 45 minutes.

The few sales he made leaving campus would be more than enough for their early dinner, and if Piper got him that bag back, he would be rolling in cash. It would have been worth treating her, even if they weren't as good of friends as they were. As he headed down 3rd Avenue, leaving the Upper East Side for the more bustling midtown area, he sent her another text. He was being playfully sarcastic, poking fun at her typical rich girl side. He was sure that whatever crisis she was referring to wasn't even slightly serious, but at least he would get a chuckle out of hearing it. It reminded him of the time he overheard Jane whining about how "unfair" it was that her parents were making her spend a weekend in Paris, when all of her friends were going to Rome. Or Sienna complaining about her busy her schedule was with her modelling and music career. It always baffled him how these girls thought that their problems were real... As if they should throw a pity party for trust-fund baby Jane, because she was stuck flying in a private jet to Paris, where she would spend a weekend in one of the most expensive homes in the city, and indulge in every and anything that she wanted. And Sienna really deserved a plethora of awards for sitting in a chair having her hair and makeup done, and standing in front of a camera, or singing into a microphone. What tragic lives they lived.

To: Piper
Curious about ur "crisis" though. Break a nail? Lose a diamond earring? Ignore ur own advice and forget to use a condom with that pansy last night?

He arrived at Sticky's by four and didn't wait for Piper to get there before ordering for himself. I'm sure her limo had caviar waiting for her as soon as classes let out, he thought to himself with a smirk. His order was his usual one: S'mores fries and the large basket of chicken with marshmallow, caramel and chocolate sauce. The meal crossed into the dessert category in more than one way, but it always tasted like heaven when he was high and had the munchies, and he was sure that even sober, it would taste just as good. As he waited for Piper and his food to arrive, he found an empty table by the window and claimed it for the two of them before texting Charlotte. This time it was to Charlotte Buchanan, and he made sure to send as many texts as possible, hoping her phone wasn't on silent and it would annoy her.

To: Charlotte
Hey Little Miss Perfect, got a question for you.

To: Charlotte
And no, it's not if you'll come on a date with me.

To: Charlotte
I'm sure you'd like that, but you're not my type.

To: Charlotte
Sry to break your heart :(.

To: Charlotte
But what's this little event ur throwing Sunday?

To: Charlotte
LMK the headcount. Gotta figure out how many dime bags to bring with me

Charlotte was too good of a friend to Connor, it was funny to think about. The way he was with Sydney was the way she was with him. She knew there was no chance of him ever seeing her in the way she saw him, but instead of facing it. She always thought that in the back of her that maybe he would one day look at her and realize that they were perfect for each other. But, until then, she stayed by his side as he asked around about where Sydney was. With everyone they asked, they just looked at Charlotte with a raised eyebrow, wondering why she was looking for the 'Queen Bee'. It wasn't a secret that she and Sydney weren't close anymore and it was probably for the best, Lottie saw how she treated her friends. One day they were like sisters and the next, she would act like they never existed or like they were the worst of enemies and to Charlotte, that was not a friendship, that's an alliance, you use them when you need them and toss them when you don't.

After a while, Lottie turned to her phone as they walked around. She had a lot to worry about for the upcoming week and finding Sydney was not on that list. Not long after, she looked up at Connor as she looked at the guilty look on his face. "What?" She asked in the nicest way possible, with a raised eyebrow. "I really thought that Devin was serious when he said he saw her come down to the kitchen, but yeah, I guess not. I'm sorry, I'm ruining your night. Want to go back up and dance or something? We can find your sister, I'm sure she's having fun. Plus, you have to give me the run down on what's happening Sunday."
She smiled slightly as she hugged him and kissed his cheek softly. "Connor, stop it. You are not ruining my night, I'm getting to hang out with my best friend which is what I was going to do anyway." She had an assuring smile on her face as the two made their way to the elevator where they made their way up to the second floor where they spent the rest of the night, dancing, talking, and Charlotte telling him the plan for Sunday. At the end of the night, she knew Connor thought he probably ruined her night and he didn't. If Brent couldn't ruin her night, Connor most definitely couldn't.

"I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier / I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist / Like it doesn't exist / I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry / I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier / But I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes / Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight / Help me, I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes / Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight / On for tonight"

The music was blasting as Charlotte and the rest of the 'veteran' theater students sung and danced to the song, Chandelier by Sia. Also known as the best song ever to intimidate the freshmen who wanted to join the class. They didn't want to scare them away but, this school built stars and it wasn't meant to be an easy A so, the first Friday of every year they choose a song and tried to out do one another while also getting rid of those just wanting an A. Charlotte, of course was in the front as the song went on. She showed off her range, her dancing, and just about everything else she was good out when it came to song and dance. She flipped and kicked like the young girl did in the music video as lights flicked on and off and the main light stayed on the blonde.

"'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight / Oh, I'm just holding on for tonight / On for tonight / On for tonight" As the final verse of the song played, Charlotte sung out the best she could just as the spotlight went off and the dancers behind her fell to the ground and laid there only to get up once all the lights came back on. The freshmen clapped and joined the rest of the class as their teacher, Ms. Donahue started explain how that's what they want. Charlotte and the other excused themselves to go and get changed out of their dance outfits before the bell rung. As the walked to the back, Lottie put her hair in a ponytail as she smiled towards the others as they complimented her. When they made their way into the dressing room, she was quick to toss out her outfit for the rest of the day and slip off her white dance leotard before tossing it in her Harvard dance bag with her name written on the sides in cursive and 'Class of 2019' on the circle sides of the bag. She hummed to the song she had sung as she undid her ponytail and let the hair fall back down. "Have a great weekend, ya'll. Don't forget that I have an event on Sunday and I would love to see ya'll there!" She smiled sweetly as she heard all of them pretty much say ' Of course, we're coming.' and wishing her a good weekend too. But, it wasn't going to be good, it was going to be stressful as hell making sure everything was perfect.

As she walked out of the school, she smiled towards some of her student government friends as she walked down the stairs, her heels clicking against the cement. She took out her phone as she started to text Connor.

To : Connor
Can you meet me at the Starbucks near the school? We have a few... issues for the charity event on Sunday to deal with. Oh and are you going to Hailey's party? I don't want to go with just my sister, she's gonna leave me anyway. T.T

By 'issues', she of course meant Brent Barclay, the biggest pain she has ever had to deal with. She was fine with their banter and she was fine with their bickering. Why? Easy, because she always made sure she got the last word in, meaning she always won. Something she loved to do. What she could leave without is her having to confront him during every event she and Connor had because she caught him selling. That was the easiest way to get on her ugly side not that he seemed to care, he loved being a pain in the ass to her and vice versa. She loved messing with him when she's given the chance. She kept looking at her phone as she waited for her sister by the gate. While she waited she saw she had a text from Jane, as she read it. She sighed and shook her head. She liked Jane, really she did but, the girl really needed to get her shit together.

To : Janie
We have to turn in our Summer reading and start reading Macbeth. And Janie, I love you but you need to get your ish together. <3

Rose rushed towards her with a gleeful smile on her face. "What are you so happy about?"

"Okay, don't hate me but, I'm comin' home later tonight. James asked if I wanted to have dessert after he took me out to dinner, if you know what I mean." Lottie faced looked disgusted as she thought about her sister having 'dessert' with anyone. That was the last thing she needed in her head. She rolled her eyes as she shook her head. "Go, I'll find someone else to go with for the party."

"Really?!?"

"Yea, go. I'll be fine." Rosie held her sister in a hug as she kissed her cheek. "You are the best, you know that!" Lottie raised an eyebrow as she looked at her sister and shrugged. "Yea, I know." Rosie rolled her eyes as she thumped her sister on the head. "And you had to ruin the compliment." The two chuckled as Rosie put her arm around her sister and looked towards her sister with a smirk. " 'Sides, who knows maybe you'll get your own dessert with Connor, Lottie just shook her head.

"You're right, too sweet. Maybe Brent then." Lottie scoffed as she flipped her sister the bird as Lottie shook her head. "Never. Gonna. Happen. 'Side, according to him I'm not his type. Which I take as a compliment." Rosie just rolled her eyes, she knew her sister and she hoped sooner or later the two would be arguing like in the movies and all of a sudden just kiss one another. Just because she thought Connor was too sweet, and Vincent was never going to happen but, Brent, he challenged her. He pissed her off and knew he did and she did the same with him, and they both loved every second of their banters. It was only a matter of time before the two did... something. "Anyways, are you coming to the Starbucks with me to try and get all this planning done, Miss. Treasurer?" Rosie scoffed before reluctantly nodding her head. "Fine, let's go wait for your lover-boy. But, I need to get ready at home by 6." Lottie thumped her sister in the head as the two walked into the Starbucks and took their seat near the windows. "I'll go get the coffees, you get started."

Lottie nodded as she took out her computer and started to plan everything and make sure everything was confirmed. She did even look at her phone as it went off, playing the song 'Take Me To Church' started to play. She knew it wasn't Connor so she would just click the top button to shut it off, but by the time it went off the third time, she scoffed and picked up her phone. When she saw who it was, she growled softly and opened it to see the messages from Brent. "Why'd Rosie have to give him my number?!" She said to herself as two more texts came in. She scoffed before replying back.

"To : Barclay
Don't even think about it, you future convict. If I even see you, I will have both of your heads on a silver platter.

She was about to put her phone down before deciding to mess with him a bit.

To : Barclay
BTW believe me, you are doing me a favor. I prefer my guys to have no priors.

To : Barclay
And, I'm not your type?

To : Barclay
Really?

To : Barclay
Wow, that's what you're going with now?

To : Barclay
Okay...

To : Barclay
Well thanks, that's the best compliment I have heard all week <3

Lottie smirked at her phone as she, of course, out did him by one. She didn't even realize Rosie walked up behind her. "Why are you bitching at Brent over text?" A smirk rising on the younger twin's face. "Will you please mind your own business? 'Side, I'm just making sure he doesn't try anythin' at the charity event. I would not be texting him for my own enjoyment." Lottie assured her sister who just sipped her coffee. "Sure, whatever you say."
Charlotte just rolled her eyes as she sipped her coffee as well as the two waited for a response from Connor.

Sienna listed off Esmee and Yasmin as definite additions to their afternoon, with Sydney and Piper as possibilities. Jane hadn't seen Piper around all day and was convinced that the redhead had wisely stayed home with a hangover as bad as her own. She was definitely jealous, and if she wasn't so ready to finally hang out with Sienna again, she would have headed straight from school to her bed. Jane doubted Piper was going to show up, and the way that Sienna had referenced Sydney didn't seem like she wanted her there at all. Jane honestly felt like it would be more enjoyable for just the four of them to go too. She loved Sydney, but Sydney and Sienna together were never a good mix. She hadn't been there to witness their alliance over the summer and yesterday morning, but even that had fallen apart last night. It was hard enough for Jane to deal with the two girls separately when they had a problem with each other that they needed to vent about, and together was even worse. Sydney was the queen of underhanded digs and Sienna never backed down. She wouldn't have been surprised if their yoga and shopping day turned into World War III if Sydney came. Plus, maybe what was weighing heavier on Jane's mind, was that she felt like Sydney and Sienna would gang up on her harder about her summer absence than Sienna would alone.

"I doubt she'll-" Jane was ready to dismiss Sydney from their plans when hear text was returned from Charlotte, and then Sydney. Lottie had responded in the nicest way possible, considering texts like the one Jane sent her happened on a daily basis during the school year. In Jane's mind, she justified it by claiming that Lottie was the class president. It was her responsibility to help her, and since the blonde was going to do the homework anyway, why did she care if Jane copied it from her? It wasn't like she was asking her to do any extra real work.

To: Charlotte
Can you send me a copy of your summer reading paper? I did mine but I just want to double check it with yours <3 ????

When in the world did we make plans to go to Caudalie?! It only made sense that it was last night, since Jane had blacked out and couldn't remember half of what had happened. Obviously Sydney knew she had been far too gone to make plans, but it was in her character to expect Jane to drop everything and adhere to her plans regardless. She bit her lip as she typed out a couple responses, switching back and forth from agreeing to disagreeing as she erased each one. She finally sent the text, with a large part of her hoping that Sydney opted to go to the spa alone.

To: Sydney
Let's do that tmrw! I need to get a mani pedi for Hailey's party anyway and idk what color I'll want until I find a dress today. Plzzzz come with us!!

"I supposedly told her I would get facials at Caudalie last night, but this never-ending headache is proof that I should not be held responsible for any promises I made then," she smiled innocently, only to have it turn wider at her next comment. "And even though I don't remember you abandoning me, you have some explaining to do about who you ran off with last night! Sydney kind of filled me in." And by "filled me in", she meant ranted about how Sienna left the party because she had no respect or appreciation for Sydney's friendship. She definitely hadn't filled Jane in on it being Vincent that she left with, or Jane wouldn't have allowed a call from her driver to interrupt her interrogation. She didn't answer the call, but knew that it meant that her driver was waiting for her around the block. Already turning away from the trio, she said, "I'll be ready in twenty! Pick me up!"

If the smile on her face said anything, Sydney would be on the ground dead in a matter of seconds only to have the moment replay over and over again until it sated whatever part of Sienna that longed to beat her face in. If anything, her smile seemed to only grow wider until by the time Sydney had stopped with her little speech, Sienna was full out laughing her in her face. All she heard were excuses and Sienna was past the point of caring about what recently non-virgin Sydney had to feel. She had felt her sympathy back then, understood the main culprit in the entire affair was Vincent. And had cursed him out and shoved at him and said a lot of things to him. Did that make Sydney free from blame? Hell no and Sienna would be damned if Sydney continued with that mentality.

"Bravo, Sydney," she purred clapping her hands. Sienna did see the way the conversation was affecting Jane and was going to feel horrible when all was said and done, but it was out in the open now. No need to pretend anymore. No need to hold back. So, she didn't. "I mean, I gotta say - the way you make yourself a victim...I mean, fuck, that's...that's talent right there. I mean, I seriously don't know how you can even stand to face every day looking at yourself in the mirror and hearing yourself try to rid yourself of any blame in all of this. I mean, seriously, you were being a good friend? God, that's rich coming from the girl who demanded loyalty without question or compromise. Who never wanted anyone to lie to her while she kept secrets of her own. That doesn't sound like a good friend, Sydney. It sounds like a dictator and an even worse one because you could have squashed this years ago since I apparently didn't have the balls to say anything, as you so eloquently put it." Sienna had to laugh again. She knew she was going to lose someone she once cared about, but maybe it was time to stop treading the line of being friends and enemies. Obviously, especially given the way Sydney was trying to paint the picture, they really had not been friends for a long time. And for once, it didn't fill her with grief. It did not make tears well up in her eyes or this feeling to arise in her chest at the thought of losing Sydney indefinitely. Somehow, she had a feeling she lost her the second she found out Sydney slept with Vincent.

"Because you were a good friend when you looked me dead in the face as I cried to both you and Jane, but it never occurred to you that I deserved to hear it from you? You were a good friend to me even when you brought Vincent up randomly in conversations he had no business in. When you make random commentary about my any and everything that you could get your hands on? Were you a good friend when you became 'the only girl he would make waffles for?' When you probably fucked him hundreds of times after we were all together?" Again, she laughed, but it was more bitter. She didn't know about them sleeping together honestly, but it felt plausible and Sienna was on a roll. "No, a good friend would have told me, regardless, because I could have forgiven you. I wanted to, so bad. But you didn't say a word and then you suddenly turned this into some fucking rivalry - as if I had done some imaginary misdeed to you. Call me selfish for bringing it up now. Say that I am overdramatic and self-centered, please, I implore you. But know that at least I can own up to it. And that's a hell of a lot better than a girl who didn't have the balls to be the "big bitch" she wants everyone to fear."

It happened in a blink. Sydney rose and grabbed a hold of Jane, practically snatching her up and causing the table to shake a little. Even Jane's wine glass had fallen over. Sienna was on her feet in seconds just as Jane seemed to snatch away from Sydney, and Sienna had to blink because it was rare that Jane ever said anything or did anything that was truly against what Sydney wanted to do. It didn't say that Jane was on Sienna's side because the brunette surely stormed out of the restaurant, but it was enough to make Sienna smirk. She assured the nearest waiter that things were fine and to put everything on her tab. Not even at all put off, she ghosted beside Sydney, stopping beside her only for a moment to look her dead in the eye, "Don't bother excommunicating me. I can do that myself." It was mean, the smirk on her face. She wasn't satisfied and she had never wanted it to be the way it was, but this was the end and she was done pretending like she was one of Sydney's bitches. Sienna only took a long look at Sydney's face before remarking, "And here I thought for a second that I was actually in awe of you. That I wanted your crown." She shrugged. "Too dingy and faded for my tastes anyway." She didn't care about what Sydney had to say next because she was already heading out the door. She saw Jane at the end of the other street and wanted so badly to comfort her friend, but it wouldn't suffice. Not when things had just gotten out in the open. Besides, and it was a selfish thought, but Sienna wanted her own comfort and she didn't know if she could count on her favorite brunette. All she could do was send her friend a text as she kept walking.

To: Jane
I am so sorry, J. I didn't want 2 talk about this like this. I didn't want u 2 have 2 b put on the spot like that and I am so sorry. I understand if u don't wanna talk 2 me rite now, but I'm here 4 u regardless.

Shaking her head, she decided to continue down in the opposite direction, walking aimlessly for a good ten minutes. She honestly had no idea why she was simply loitering around New York, not really aware of her surroundings until she found herself at Central Park, idly staring at the trees that loomed over her. She didn't regret saying what she needed to say to Sydney. That much was apparent and for the first time in a long time, she felt like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders. It wasn't as if she were untouchable for the vulnerability was present, gnawing at the carefully constructed countenance she had set upon herself. It threatened to break at any moment but damn it all, she was free! She didn't have to worry about holding her tongue to Sydney anymore. Hell, she didn't even have to acknowledge her presence if she so pleased! It was satisfactory only in that sense...but what happens now? Did she still have Jane as a friend? Piper? Connor? The sudden wave of loneliness almost prompted her home to the arms of her sister and maybe Hailey, but she needed someone else. Someone she had known she could depend on and whom she might actually be able to talk to. Hands shaking with an emotion she didn't want to acknowledge, Sienna pulled her phone back up and texted out a message.

To: Charlotte

Piper arrived just after his food had been placed on the table by a waitress that Brent noted was fine as hell. The blonde hair was probably the biggest turn on for him, which made sense considering he tended to go for blondes. Kelley was a perfect example of that... and then there was Little Miss Perfect, too, who he was reminded of when his phone buzzed against the wooden table top.

To: Charlotte
You and I both know you want me there. Just lmk the time and place and your wish will come true.

To: Charlotte
And don't be too hard on yourself. You're a blonde virgin with a killer body. All that's my type. It's just that whole self-righteous thing that's got to go. Don't worry. We can work on that since I know you want me so bad.

He knew he would get a rise out of her with the second text and didn't hesitate to hit send before focusing his attention on the redhead sitting across from him. She explained that her "crisis" was lacking sufficient funds for a party she was supposed to throw. It was completely trivial, but he guessed that there was more validity to it than the guesses he had made earlier. They were dealing with Upper East Side kids and even though Brent could roll his eyes at their "problems", he guessed that they were problems to them. And needing quick money was something Brent was all too familiar with. Luckily for Piper, he was good at finding money in a pinch, too. He was going to remind her of why he called this dinner date into session. He needed his drugs back from Sydney, and more importantly, he needed Miss Lynch back as a frequent customer. Somehow, he would blend his problems into hers and solve both, but when she cut him off with her dramatic "Pause!", he did as directed.

Brent wasn't very active on social media. He went on it occasionally to find out where the parties were going to be that weekend, or to post some snide remark on Charlotte's Instagram posts, but aside from that, he didn't have much of an online footprint. That was why he was unaware of the drama unfolding as they spoke, until Piper explained it to him, and he had to admit that he was surprised by what she said too. Everyone knew that Sienna and Vincent had something a few years back, and everyone knew that neither of them were really over it. Even Brent, who stayed out of the loop on those kind of things, sensed that this had the potential to be a big scandal for Sydney. However, he also knew the queen bee enough to know that she had the power to shut it down if she put all of her might into it. Even if she got the school to stop buzzing about it, it had to say something about her relationship with Sienna, who he believed was her best friend.

While the news caught him off guard, he didn't think it spelled good news for his chance at getting his drugs back. It would have been hard enough if Sydney was happy, and well, he was sure that after this, she wasn't going to be. Maybe he would have to forfeit the bag of Ritalin and focus on the bigger picture first: getting Jane back. "Celebrate your evilness later, Pipe," he rolled his eyes, picking a marshmallow covered french fry off of his plate. "Here's how we're gonna fix both of our problems. You're going to get Jane to start buying from me again. Make up some shit that you tried some new pills I gave you, and they made you drop ten pounds in a week. You know she'll buy it and I'll charge her however much you need for your stupid party. It'll be an even trade. You help me get my customer back and I pay you for your service." He had a feeling that she was going to let her morals get in the way of this, and he wasn't going to have that. "Look, Piper. I'm going to get her back to buying either way. It'll make things easier if you help me out, and your party problems will be solved, but with or without your help, she's going to be buying from me again in the next week."

“All those paper people living in their paper houses, burning the future to stay warm.”

Dɪᴀʟᴏɢᴜᴇ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✦ #00C5CD || Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #007478

Charlotte was taking notes as her sister, again tried to change the subject from the event to... anything else but the event like, why she and Sydney were no longer friends, or why she allowed herself to play second fiddle to the 'Queen Bee' in Connor's eyes, and of course when was she going to suck up her pride and kiss either Connor or, in Rosie's opinion, Brent. The answer being 'Don't worry about it.', 'She doesn't, it just happened.', and, the obvious answer of 'never, never in a million years.' Her sister couldn't help but roll her eyes as she looked at her phone. "You know, you could be helping me. Since we are blood and everything." Lottie let be known as she looked up from her computer screen and towards her sister who just laid a hand on her shoulder. "But, you're doin' so good."

"Don't touch me and yea, I'm doin' fine but, I would be doing better if you would get off your phone and pitch some ideas. I can only do so much to make this a great event." Charlotte said as she looked directly at her sister who could tell Lottie was freaking herself out. But, this happened all too often when Lottie had an event coming up. "Everything's gonna be fine, you'll see and just look at your phone. You know you wanna text your baby." Rosie smirked as she wiggled Lottie's white IPhone 6 in front of her face only to receive an eye roll and a shake of the head. "And who may I ask is 'baby' because I don't have one." Rose chuckled as she looked through her sister's unread messages. "Are you kidding me? Lottie, you have tons of guys and girls texting you asking you to hang out and you shrug all of this hot and sexy guys off?!" Lottie shrugged her shoulders, not taking her eyes off her email. "I'm a busy gal."

"Yea, whatever." The younger twin lost her smirk as she saw a text from Sienna pop up. "Hey, you might want to talk to Sienna, she seems upset." Charlotte sighed as she started to reach for her phone. "She's around Sydney Vale, how could you be happy?" But, when she saw the look on Rosie's face, she looked at the message before turning towards the window and texting her friend back.

To : Sienna <3

Honey, I'm never too busy for you. I'm at the Starbucks near the school with Rose. Everything alright? :(

The sharp intake of breath Sienna took at the feel of her phone vibrating in her hand brought Sienna's attention back down to the device. She was more than grateful that Charlotte had actually responded - that she had been right and of course she could depend on her "Madam President" - to her text message. What she was not prepared for was the sudden torrent of emotions throwing a fit in her core as she typed out her response, her fingers still shaking after each letter she typed onto the screen. She didn't understand why she was suddenly so...emotional. It wasn't a surprise in the slightest that she was, but still. She had not anticipated this, this sudden need to be with somebody. Anybody.

To: Charlotte
No, not really. I really need a friend.

Charlotte sighed, what had happened now? Knowing Sydney it and Sienna it probably did with their petty little love triangle... thing. Something that Lottie hated to talk about or bring up. The way she saw it, Sydney was a bitch and Vincent was a dog. Both of them should have been dropped on the dot but, no. Sienna decided to keep both of them in her life which was probably a mistake on her end but, Lottie wasn't going to lecture her. From the look of it, she just need someone impartial to talk to and a shoulder to cry on.

Sienna hurried to the nearest side exit of the park that she could find, flagging down a taxi cab as quickly as she could in case Charlotte randomly decided to leave. She honestly knew her friend would not jut abandon her after acknowledging that Sienna could come to her, but still. There was the irrational part of her, the insecure part of her soul, that anticipated being left behind. At being not cared for. At being alone. And at the moment, when she was no longer within the confines of her typical safety net, she had never felt the word so intensely before. When she was finally seated inside of the cab and had given the driver the address of the Starbucks, Sienna returned her attention to her phone.

To: Charlotte
Have u seen Facebook or Twitter yet?

To: Charlotte
I might have ruined everything

Charlotte raised an eyebrow and sighed. "What did she do now?" She thought in her head as she bit her lip. In all honesty, she was afraid to look knowing it was going to stress her out. She went back to her main screen and clicked on her twitter account. She scrolled through several tweets before she finally caught one that made her stop, it was from the vice president of their school and one sided enemy, Tori. One sided meaning Lottie knew that Tori hated her for being class president. Blamed her for not knowing that she was doing and winning based on looks. But, Lottie didn't like not liking people so, she let the past be the past.

As she read the tweet, she rubbed her temple as Rosie looked at her worried. "You saw it?"

"You saw it?! And you didn't tell me!" Rosie put her hands up in defense. "I didn't need you getting stressed out anymore than you already are." Lottie groaned as she sighed and decided to text Sienna back. Sure, Sienna was in the wrong, but Sydney was too. She had to sleep with her 'best friend's' boyfriend. That was her choice and now she had to deal with it.

To : Sienna <3

I just saw the post but, there's no need to be dramatic. Trust me, I've got your back. Everything will be fine. :)

Rosie looked across to see her sister's text. "You really think that?" Lottie sighed sharply before looking up at her sister. "Look, I don't know but I'll make everything as fine as I can." Lottie assured her sister who just got up with a raised eyebrow to get another two coffees.

Sienna felt her cell phone buzz repeatedly and only squeezed it in her hand, shutting her eyes as if she could somehow shut out the voices of whomever was trying to reach her. She glanced out the window, seeing the way the sun was setting over the boisterous city and the continuous flow of pedestrians and vehicles. They were only about five minutes away from the Starbucks, but she honestly had no idea what she would have done if she had walked there. If she would have made it without the loneliness suddenly overtaking her. Taking a few breaths, she glanced down at the phone only to almost cry.

The first text was from Jane and it made tears burn at the back of her eyes. But she couldn't answer that. Not now. Not when she was hurting just as much as her friend. Instead, Sienna focused on Charlotte's response and that was when the tears came. If she had been asked at the restaurant if she was going to cry over all of this, she would have denied it vehemently. Would have told any and everyone that she was willing to take shots for every time she didn't knock Sydney on her ass instead of shedding a single tear for someone who did not care about her. However, it was only with the knowledge that someone cared that the tears flowed, steady and continuous, leaving it impossible for her to respond to her friend. Instead, Sienna focused on trying to breathe and not let the driver hear her sniffles from the back.

He apparently either did not care or did not care to acknowledge it for they were in front of the Starbucks soon enough and Sienna threw a simple twenty his way, which was more than the price she owed, but she didn't care any more. Blindly, Sienna exited the cab and then entered the café, assaulted immediately by the strong scent of freshly ground coffee beans. It didn't take her long to find Charlotte and Rose, and immediately Sienna wanted to feel bad. They had their papers and pens out, and they looked so studious. And here she was, selfish Sienna ruining that with her pettiness and vindictiveness. Too selfish to put Jane's needs before her own. Too selfish to just suck it all up and wait until graduation. Too selfish to even understand that her friend was busy and didn't need her coming around with her problems. Sienna was half-tempted to walk out of the café, but her feet were already moving in the direction of Charlotte. Charlotte looked towards the door as the small bell rung and could see Sienna, she offered a small smile only to let it disappear when she saw how upset her friend was. And without preamble, the sob finally broke through her lips and the tears came.

"I-I-I-I'm s-so s-s-sorry," she stuttered, the only words she could actually get out. Charlotte got up from her seat and pulled the smaller girl into her arms. Lottie let out a deep breath as she stopped her sister from walking back over to the two for the moment. "Sh. Everything's gonna be fine, love." She promised her friend as she kissed the top of Sienna head, not even paying attention to the others in the cafe who were looking at the pair. All that mattered to Lottie at the moment was making sure her close friend was okay. "Rose, you can leave if you want. Just make sure you take me computer with you." Rosie nodded as she grabbed her sister's sleek Mac laptop and slid it into her crimson and white computer bag. "Alright, Lots. I hope everything's okay, Sienna. Trust me, everything will just pass over."

Rose reassured the singer as she rubbed her arm before walking past the pair. Lottie would have asked her to stay except for one small thing, Rosie was friends/enemies with Sydney as well. Friends because they were birds of a feather but, enemies because her twin sister didn't like her. And Rose had a big mouth and she didn't need her twin spilling what might be said between the two. Right before passing Lottie, Rosie remembered she had been snooping on her sister's phone and still had it. "By the way, your boyfriend texted you." Looking and seeing it was Brent, Lottie inhaled deeply. "Self-righteous virgin!?! I'm gonna kill him, now I want him to show up just so I can kill him." She looked at her sister with a look that said to text him back to piss off. Rosie nodded with a smirk as she sent a text towards Brent not even trying to seem like it was a different person.

She wanted the two to hook up, screw Connor! Brent was sexy, a bad boy, and a challenge, her sister loved challenges and bad boys and she would adore him once they at least made out.

To : Barclay

It's at the Hotel Plaza Athenee at 1. And, too bad you're definitely my type if it wasn't for the whole drug dealing thing. ;)

Rose knew that wink face might have given it away that it wasn't his precious little Lottie since she did two things wrong; 1) Lottie would never willingly flirt with him or at least admit it and 2) Lottie most definitely wouldn't willingly tell him where a huge event with very important people was going to be held and at what exact time. But, hey she was nudging or more like shoving them. Rose slipped Lottie's phone back into Lottie bag before she walked out of the cafe and Lottie continued to comfort Sienna without saying a word. "C'mon, darlin." She escorted her friend into the small one stall restroom and locked the door behind them before sitting on the black marble counter with her arm still around Sienna. "Alright, so tell me what happened from the beginning."

Sienna did nothing to refuse the affection and comfort Charlotte bestowed upon her. In fact, she welcomed it - allowing herself to be petted by Charlotte and being enveloped by long, warm arms. She could have called Piper, but would the redhead have even cared? Could have called Hailey or even Esmee back, but she hadn't seen her favorite singer all day and she knew she feel nothing but shame and guilt if her sister even glanced her way. Talking to Jane only meant being roped into making up with Sydney, and she was sad, but not sad enough to deal with Sydney Vale any time soon. So, she had to turn to one other person she could actually trust and it was the girl hugging her at the moment.

At the time, Sienna couldn't fathom focusing on Rosie and Charlotte's interactions, and so caught up in her tears was she that it was near impossible to actually answer Charlotte's twin. So, all she could do was offer a short nod while still hugging Charlotte. She caught small phrases like "boyfriend," which apparently might have connected with Charlotte? Not that Sienna knew - the last time she checked, Charlotte was still single and needed to mingle. At least for the conspiring and nosy part of her mind. And if there was the possibility of someone in the class president's life, Sienna would gladly be all over that. However, at the current moment, all she could do was try to focus on breathing and stifling her tears. She probably looked a wreck with all of the customers in Starbucks. An absolute trainwreck.

She shuddered a bit when she realized that she and Charlotte were finally alone, or as alone as two people could get in a crowded café. She also did not refuse her friend when Charlotte took her to the bathroom, sitting atop the countertop and still holding Sienna. Which was why it suddenly felt safe to actually talk to someone. "Everything was awful. I-I was out shopping with Jane...for the party tomorrow a-and it was all fine. Sydney bailed 'cause I guess she was mad, I don't know. I had literally just bailed on meeting up with..." She actually couldn't even say his name at the moment, not even to hiss it. "...and Colette. Because I wanted to spend time with my girls. And maybe Sydney was still mad about last night, which is stupid because if them hooking up back then didn't mean anything, why it would mean anything to her if he and I were just hanging out last night? You should've seen her face, it was like I was holding hands with her boyfriend and we hadn't even done anything yet." Again, a fresh wave of tears came as Sienna realized her mistake. "I'm such a fucking idiot."

Sienna swiped at the tears on her face, only minutely glad that she had not applied a fresh face of makeup. But she knew she probably looked horrible. She could already tell that her nose was probably already turning pink and the hot tears on her face made her eyes puffy and red. But that didn't stop her. She didn't know if she made any sense, but the words came anyway."I sleep with him - give him exactly what he's wanted - but I'm still so fucking stupid. Because he went straight to Sydney while were all out and I don't know, she thought it would be nice to post that fucking Snapchat? It was payback? I don't even know...I just...I was so mad. It's been nearly two years, I thought we could start over or something, and then he says some shit like that and I just...snapped." She shrugged. "No one actually knows Tori's the admin of that page, not unless she's told you herself. It was the deal we made. And I was wrong for doing it, I know, but I was so mad and I wanted to hate her so bad. But she made this about Jane! She turned on J in two seconds flat! W-we were supposed to talk about...her summer...because it was such a big deal and...she's been through soooo much..." Sienna couldn't imagine how Jane must have felt, so horrible betrayed by someone she showed the most loyalty to.

"And Sydney just threw her under the bus, trying to change the topic at dinner. As if Jane didn't ask a plausible question. She wanted to know what the posts meant and I wanted Sydney to tell her and like a coward, she turned it on Jane. But I couldn't let her do it and suddenly, I am the bad friend for being upset. For not trusting her all the years. For not having the balls to say anything." She finally looked up at Charlotte. "But she's just as bad, right? Because if she really felt guilty for it, she should have said something! I could have forgiven her and...and we could have been fine. And, Char...I'm just so tired. I don't know if I can pretend anymore...not with her. I did it for me and her and him because he had begged...and she was supposed to be one of my best friend and I wanted to believe she would have been honest eventually...that it really was a mistake." She paused in her tirade for a second, stiff before sinking into her own realization, and it made the tears she thought she was done shedding come again. "But we haven't been friends though, have we? Haven't been friends for years." The last line was said in a defeated tone and Sienna's shoulders slumped while she buried her face in her hands. Even if she wanted to do what Jane asked her to do, there would be no point. She couldn't make up with Sydney. She couldn't go to her house and apologize, especially when she didn't feel solely responsible. Besides, would it really be worth it - fighting for a friend she had never really had?

While the world was crumbling down for many members of the Upper East Side's most spoken of popular clique, Carolina's was only getting better. She only allowed herself to remain on her new bed for a few minutes before her curiosity go the best of her and she was exploring her room again. To think that this was a spare bedroom was crazy, and she had half the mind to venture out of her bedroom and explore the rest of the penthouse. What would the kitchen look like? The living room? Her attached bathroom had it's own television! She couldn't imagine what unnecessary but undeniably luxurious features the rest of the house would have. Nicole had reassured her that it was just them two... and a hoard of housekeepers in the penthouse, but Carolina still didn't feel comfortable enough venturing out on her own. This wasn't just not her house, but it was Jane Lynch's house, and even if Carolina wasn't scared of the girl or her friends, she also knew to stay in her place if she wanted to avoid conflict. That was how it went at school, and she imagined that was how it was going to go here, too.

"That's this amazing Italian place down the block! Do you want to try it in a little?" she heard her sister calling out from down the hall. Carrie didn't feel like shouting back. Not only was the place big enough that her voice probably wouldn't reach her sister, but she felt like the Lynch abode was too nice for shouting... if that made sense. It reminded her of a museum, almost, where everything was too nice and expensive for a commoner like her, and she had to be cautious not to ruin its ambiance. So, rather than shout back through the bathroom and bedroom and hope that it would reach Nicole, she left the box of toiletries that she was unloading on the bathroom counter and hurried towards her bedroom door. She cracked it open and called out in a voice barely louder than a normal speaking tone, "I'd rather just order something in, if that's okay. I might have to go out in a little while for student government anyway." The thought of Sunday's event had only come to her when she was about to tell Nicole that she was down for Italian, but as soon as she remembered, she knew it was better to keep tonight open in case Lottie wanted to meet up.

To: Charlotte
Hey Lottie is anyone from SGA meeting up tn to go over the details of Sunday's event? LMK if so. I'll be in the UES for a while now so for once it shouldn't take me 20 mins to get to u guys like it usually does lol

"We can stay in and watch something in the theater after, then!" her sister yelled back, clearly more comfortable here than she. But wait... they had their own movie theater?! In the house?! Maybe her mother uprooting to Florida wasn't such a bad thing after all.

To: Lee
Not joking. They have a THEATER in their house man. My mom wouldn't even buy a TV for my room and they have a fucking move theater in their house. Come over and check this place out when ur not busy with Jin

To: Piper
R u kidding me?! At least he's ok. Send him a kiss from me lol and yes!!! My only update is that I moved in w my sister's husband.... aka ur bestie's place... but I wanna hear what's going on. Come over I'm sure Jane would rather u b here than me anyway

Her text to Piper couldn't have been more true because before she could run back into the bathroom, her door swung open and this time, it wasn't only her sister on the other end. She had managed to get to her bed and sat on the edge of it as she blinked at the two woman standing in the doorway. Carolina shouldn't have been surprised to see Jane since this was her house, but it was just weird seeing her out of school to begin with. Carolina rarely attended the parties and social events that Jane hosted or attended (mostly because she was rarely invited), and she didn't think that Jane attended many of the SGA events held outside of school. It was a bit of a reality check to see her there, since this was going to be her new life.

Apparently, Jane wasn't very happy with it, and as Carolina did a double take, she realized that her sister had said something about this being a "surprise". Carolina couldn't blame her for being shocked since she was clearly just finding out about her moving in, but did that really constitute the completely rude "you have got to be kidding me" that Jane spoke before storming down the hall. What a bitch... She flashed Nicole a look of displeasure and half expected her to run down the hall after the angry princess. "She's upset about something else... it's not you." Her sister looked distracted and maybe even genuinely concerned as she continued to switch her gaze from Carolina, to back in the direction that Jane had ran off in. "Uh, she looked right at me when she said that," Carolina objected, raising an eyebrow. "No, don't take it personally, Car. Mom told you about all of the shit I've had to deal with with Jane, right? She just thinks that the whole world revolves around her and doesn't care if she takes her issues out on anyone else. You just can't take it personally. That's what I learned, and if she ever gets too nasty, just tell Adrian that she hasn't eaten all day. He'll either send her back to Illinois or we can watch her squirm through a meal."

Her sister was trying to be playful and Carolina had to laugh at that mischievous grin, but it just reminded her how immature her sister could be. Maybe it was normal for a twenty-seven year old to still want to seek revenge on a bratty teenager with an attitude. Nicole never was a kid person. At the same time, it also suggested that maybe she wasn't mature enough to be married to someone old enough to have a bratty teenager with an attitude. Carolina barely knew about the "shit I've had to deal with with Jane". She would overhear the phone conversations where her Nicole complained about Jane slamming doors and sobbing when she didn't get her way, but she didn't know the details. The eating disorder issue too, which her sister was not gracious in referencing and making fun of, Carolina was on scarcely aware of. From the way it had been explained to her months ago, Jane was just a normal body-conscious teenager. When her sister had called months ago and mentioned that Jane was going to some treatment facility, she had explained it in a similar fashion as she was speaking now - about how Jane had been so bratty that she convinced Adrian to get rid of her for the summer.

That's why, it was hard for Carolina to feel bad for the girl who had just expressed how pissed she was about her moving in. She didn't think Jane had real problems and if her moving into one of the... nine? ten? spare bedrooms in the house was that big of an issue, that oh well. Life would go on for Carolina, that was for sure.

“All those paper people living in their paper houses, burning the future to stay warm.”

Dɪᴀʟᴏɢᴜᴇ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✦ #00C5CD || Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #007478

Charlotte didn't even stop Sienna from letting everything out. She just continued to stroke her arm up and down and look at her with a small smile. "Everything was awful. I-I was out shopping with Jane...for the party tomorrow a-and it was all fine. Sydney bailed 'cause I guess she was mad, I don't know. I had literally just bailed on meeting up with..." Charlotte knew who's name she couldn't say without crying, she didn't even have to say it. She knew it was Vincent and that's what made her mad out of the whole thing. Sienna was crying over a guy who had already cheated on her once with her best friend at that and still decided to think he was a good guy. Cheaters are bad and most don't change. Plain and simple, not that Lottie would lecture Sienna about it right now. She already did when she was told that Vincent had cheated on her in the first place. So, she just kept her mouth shut and let Sia continue. "...and Colette. Because I wanted to spend time with my girls. And maybe Sydney was still mad about last night, which is stupid because if them hooking up back then didn't mean anything, why it would mean anything to her if he and I were just hanging out last night? You should've seen her face, it was like I was holding hands with her boyfriend and we hadn't even done anything yet." Lottie scoffed at the sound of Sydney's name. Oh, yea Sydney was a piece of shit for sleeping with Vincent too. They both were equal pieces of shit for hurting Sienna like that. "Sydney." Scoffing softly once more as she said her name and rolled her eyes. "I'm such a fucking idiot."

When Sienna took a quick pause, Lottie grabbed some toilet paper as she decided to speak. "Sienna, honey, you are not f--.. freakin' idiot. You hung out with Vincent big deal? Sydney's just being... Sydney; a possessive, controlling, little--..

"I sleep with him - give him exactly what he's wanted - but I'm still so fucking stupid. Oh great, no really this was perfect! She slept with the cheater too. Sienna deserved and was better then this. Again, Lottie said nothing. She only sighed as she softly pinched her nose with her left hand. Something she did whenever she was either disappointed or had no idea what to say. Right now, she was a small mix of both. "Because he went straight to Sydney while we're all out and I don't know, she thought it would be nice to post that fucking Snapchat? It was payback? I don't even know...I just...I was so mad. It's been nearly two years, I thought we could start over or something, and then he says some shit like that and I just...snapped." She watched Sienna shrug like it was nothing.

"No one actually knows Tori's the admin of that page, not unless she's told you herself. It was the deal we made. And I was wrong for doing it, I know, but I was so mad and I wanted to hate her so bad. But she made this about Jane! She turned on J in two seconds flat! W-we were supposed to talk about...her summer...because it was such a big deal and...she's been through soooo much..." She just nodded. She knew about the deal, but she still hadn't learned what the rumor was, when she had asked Tori she said it was 'Nothing big, just a stupid little joke.' At this point, Lottie didn't care about what it was and she just moved on from the whole thing.

For not having the balls to say anything." Of course Sydney didn't own up to it, why would she own up to it? She was Sydney Vale, she needed to seem like she could do no wrong and never fuck up. Lottie stopped shaking her head when Sienna looked up at her and Lottie could finally see how torn up her friend was about all of this. "But she's just as bad, right? Because if she really felt guilty for it, she should have said something! I could have forgiven her and...and we could have been fine. And, Char...I'm just so tired. I don't know if I can pretend anymore...not with her. I did it for me and her and him because he had begged...and she was supposed to be one of my best friend and I wanted to believe she would have been honest eventually...that it really was a mistake."

"Sienna--.."

"But we haven't been friends though, have we? Haven't been friends for years." Lottie hated seeing her friends look so defeated, especially ones that are so strong like Sienna. Lottie pulled her into her arms ago and laid her head softly on Sienna's as she sighed. "I knew there was a reason why I wasn't that popular," She joked as she chuckled before continuing. "But Sienna, I don't think you dealt with it the right way. You're better than that, you're better than stooping to her level. But, it happened and you're right. It's not all your fault. And if you're tired of acting then screw it. Screw them, it's not worth it. You know? I think the only thing you can do is to move forward and put it and them behind you. Okay? She said as she got up and went in front of her friend to lift her chin. [color#00C5CD]"Just keep your chin up and everything will fine.

Sienna had only hiccupped and wiped her eyes at Charlotte's last pieces of advice, knowing that the class president was more than right. "You're right...you're right...I just..." Just didn't know what to do now? Was going to regret her decision at some point? Sienna didn't finish her sentence and she only hoped Charlotte would not ask her to because she did not know how. All she knew was that Charlotte was right - she handled everything wrong. She should have realized then to cut her ties with Vincent and Sydney. She didn't regret snapping at the blonde, never. Not in a million years would she regret going off on Sydney and the blonde had been lucky that was all Sienna had done. However, the post was out, speculation was running her phone rampant, and she honestly wanted to get home and to her ice cream.

"Thanks, Lottie," she said softly when it seemed like the tears would stop. She even managed a small though lackluster smile. "At this point, you're probably the only friend I've got so...thanks." She hugged her fellow Constance girl one more time before deciding to take Charlotte home, texting her own driver. Sienna didn't feel like waiting on a taxi and spending anymore money for the day. After a ten minute waiting period, Sienna and Charlotte were inside the Alvarez family town car and another ten minutes later, Sienna was dropping her friend off with the promise of picking her up for the party. She had not said much during the car ride to Charlotte's place nor had she checked her phone during that entire time, but once she saw to it that her friend had entered the building, Sienna's drivers pulled away from the curb and she turned her gaze to her phone.

Jane's text from earlier remained unanswered. She couldn't offer her friend a response at the moment. She couldn't just make up with Sydney Vale. Sydney would expect immediate regret and for Sienna to take full blame and, after crying in Charlotte's arms and having time to breathe, Sienna felt like she deserved more than groveling at Sydney's knees. She did not exactly expect Sydney to do such to her, but she definitely wasn't planning on finding out any time soon. Instead, she flipped through her phone to see various messages from classmates she almost didn't recall until memories of destroyed chemistry sets, volleyball matches, and failed cooking experiments danced across her mind. Most offered their support and a few, their allegiances though Sienna didn't understand why they would do that. She had not done what she had done out of a desire for Sydney's throne. She just wanted to get back at her at the only way she knew how. By affecting Sydney's image. Sienna's image was just as important to her, but her heart came first and Sydney had aided in breaking it. Despite validating Charlotte's wisdom of her not "handling the situation correctly", Sienna still felt like revenge had been served.

Saturday, September 6th | 7:30 PM

To occupy the void left in her life since she wasn't exactly on speaking terms with either Jane or Sydney, Sienna had woken up early on Saturday morning. No matter her mood and because Cynthia had been upset about the revelation of who Vincent had cheated with getting to her from one of her manicurists (how the hell it had spread that far, Sienna could not even fathom!), Sienna still had to go to her modeling session. And it was also Hailey's birthday and she couldn't ruin the day for her friend just because she was in a bad mood. So, Sienna did something she rarely did. She cooked. She was not the greatest and had to get kitchen staff to help her since Cynthia had gone back to their Long Island estate for the weekend, but she ended up satisfied with the assortment of breakfast food. Because it was Sienna and she loved pancakes, they were definitely an option and because Hailey loved chocolate, they were chocolate-chip. Plating a stack of pancakes and topping it with whipped cream, a chocolate sauce drizzle, and candles, Sienna and Esmee surprised the blonde singer with breakfast-in-bed followed by presents. Esmee had gotten Hailey a Cartier love bracelet from her own summer job money and allowance from their parents. Sienna and Jane - and only because she promised Jane she would include her and literally had to swallow back a lump of emotion when she acknowledged her friend's involvement in the gift giving - had gotten Hailey two new outfits complete with accessories and jewelry, and a paid day of relaxation at Caudalie's with Esmee.

After the girls had eaten and bidding both Esmee and Hailey a good day with a promise to check on everything for Hailey's party for the night, Sienna had gone off to her photo shoot with Young&Reckless. She was getting a large endorsement from both them and Pepsi, so she had to do small things like campaigns, photo shoots, interviews, and commercials. Luckily, she didn't have to act today. She was too tired for any of that. Esmee had taken to washing her hair for her last night and had even put in cornrows because Sienna had not cared enough to stop her. The only thing she had focused on was the smell of her Black Vanilla conditioning products from Carol's Daughter. So, Esmee did what she did and it was fine because the stylists all decided to apply a sew-in weave to her hair, thus leaving Sienna with a red hue for the six hours that she was there. It was a surprisingly sexy color that she would have been more than interested in had she cared. Sienna had had to focus on not giving away too much emotion to Piper when she saw the natural redhead and ignored Sebastian all together, not remembering his name being on the list of models for the shoot.

Once that was over and promising her friend to text her later (and taking out the blasted weave!), Sienna had checked with the club they had rented out for the evening's festivities. As a means to take pressure off of Hailey because she deserved to enjoy her birthday, Sienna had made the final plans for the evening. She had made sure the night would be fun. There would be paint in one of the lounge areas for people to use if they had not already gotten themselves painted, most of the drinks glowed in the dark, there were neon lights with a timed fog machine, the DJ knew some of Hailey's favorite songs, and there would be light snacks and a birthday cake. A few of Hailey's friends were flying in as a surprise and a few of the friends Sienna had introduced her to in California were coming. Overall, the evening was going to be great and satisfied, Sienna returned home to get ready, surprised to see Ricardo Slim-Helú waiting for her when the elevator doors opened.

"Rick," she breathed and Ricky's hand shot out of the elevator, stopping the doors from closing in on a flabbergasted Sienna. He only smirked at her expression. "Miss me?" Her answer was throwing herself into his arms. Ricky didn't hesitate in allowing her to do such, wrapping his firm arms around her waist and spinning her around for a moment. He wasn't surprised when Sienna didn't immediately release him when her feet touched the ground and allowed her the chance to cling. He had seen the Facebook posts that turned into tweets and then full-on debates between classmates who normally did not speak to each other. And least of all about two of the most popular girls at Constance Billard.

Which was why Ricardo was a bit excited for the school year. While being in California had been fun and attending such a prestigious institute for the time that he had had been challenging considering those were some of the best athletes in the country, there was nothing like good old New York, particularly the Upper East Side. For years, he had been entertained by the various gossip blogs that had emerged in the last few years and even more-so, by the whispered rumors in the hallways surrounding each and every student. Some guys felt like it played with their manliness to be involved with gossip, but their heterosexism did not leak into Rick's mind. No, in fact, he reveled in the gossip, oftentimes starting issues or making them worse. And it wasn't like many chose to challenge him. The ones who did either learned their lessons and probably don't live on their side of town anymore, or were some of the few Ricky was entertained enough by to not be upset with. Which included the blonde in his arms.

It took Sienna a minute, but she had come to the conclusion that she honestly had missed Ricky. While both his and Sydney's need for absolute control and demands could be overbearing, she couldn't lie when it came to having grown tolerant of Ricky. Granted, if she and Sydney had never gotten into a tiff over Vincent, then Sydney would be her girl and Ricky would be just another bothersome manwhore like Vincent. But he wasn't. He was fun and she loved flirting with him. Partly because she knew she would never give in to his advances and partly, well...all anyone had to do was look at him! Ricardo Slim-Helú was absolutely gorgeous! There was no doubting his attractiveness and why doing absolutely any and everything came natural to him. Even the air about him was intoxicating at times, especially when he put on that damn smolder. However, and luckily for her and her emotions, he only had a teasing smirk on his face. "You didn't tell me that you were back yet." Ricky shrugged, following Sienna on the path to one of the smaller kitchens. Already comfortable in the Alvarez family home, he walked over to the liquor cabinet and pulled out one of their bottles of scotch. "Kinda thought seeing my gorgeous face would put you in a better mood," he replied and Sienna rolled her eyes, pushing two glass cups towards him. "Yeah, whatever." This was what she needed. Playfulness. Familiarity. Something to get her mind off of everything else.

"I'm surprised you aren't with your queen," she commented after receiving her half-filled glass of scotch. Ricky stared at her, long and leisurely, before smirking. He detected the jealousy underneath the inquiry and happened to like it. It made things all the more fun when shit really hit the fan. Ricky did not favor Sydney nor Sienna more than the other. Did he like it when he girls fought? Oh, yes, he did. Sienna was a tough and fiery little ball of wonders, and Sydney was...well, Sydney was more his equal than he would typically give her credit for. Both of them gave him a bit of entertainment, just in different ways. If anyone else messed with them, he would be more than ready to stand up for them. Them at each other's throats? Delightful. "I will pay my respects before the night is over." There was a pause before he added, "Jealous much?" Sienna scoffed and swallowed down the liquor, gritting her teeth so that she wouldn't allude to the liquor having still taken her aback. A warmth spread in her belly and wanting that feeling again, she drank more until the glass was finished. Noticing Ricky still watching her, Sienna tilted her head curiously. "How did you get in here anyway? And where's...?" Rick answered only a beat later. "I buzzed in just as Esmee and your friend were leaving. Esmee just let me on in." Sienna hummed, maneuvering around the island until she was beside Ricky. Pouring herself more alcohol, she took another drink. "So, I'm guessing that means you're coming to the party tonight." It was more of a statement than a question, especially after noting Ricky's apparel.

Instead of the usual formal attire Upper East Side kids were used to or even the business casual they frequented, Ricky wore black Levi jeans, a simple white muscle shirt underneath a specially designed black varsity jacket with neon green accents, and black and green sneakers from Adidas. It was unsurprisingly tame. There would be paint at the party and Ricky was too cool to ever really have his body painted. Sienna would joke later that he was too stuck-up, but for now she simply appreciated the display of pectoral muscles beneath the thin white fabric of his top. "Careful there, sweetheart," he teased, the deep timbre of his lowered voice forcing Sienna's gaze to meet his. "The last girl that looked at me like that got laid." Heat rushed to her cheeks and Sienna immediately retorted, "It would be a cold day in hell before you and I ever happen." Ricky only chuckled and Sienna growled. "Down, kitten. I was only playing." Sienna only glared at him and Ricky's smirk grew. "Gotta go anyway before I hit up this party of yours. Need to check on a companion of mine who you've been ignoring." Sienna didn't have to question who he was speaking about. It was Vincent.

"And until he gives me something worth paying attention to, I'm gonna keep ignoring him," Sienna stated sharply. She had not answered not one of Vincent's text messages and didn't plan on doing so. She did not know about his having gone to see Sydney instead of her. All she knew was that Sydney obviously meant more to him than he had initially let on and Sienna was hurt. Perhaps she should have reminded herself that she had said that their night had been supposed to be a one night stand. She had prepared herself to be ready for it to be that way. However, she didn't want to focus on that and only shooed Ricky out of her kitchen. "Go on then. I have to get pretty and you're holding me up." Ricky only chuckled as she led him to the elevator, offering her a smirk when the doors closed. Sighing, Sienna only rushed to get herself together. Ricky had managed to hold her up for twenty minutes and she promised to give rides.

On his way down, Ricky leaned against the back wall of the elevator. He had not truly spoken to Sienna about the Sydney-Vincent situation and had chosen not to. He wanted her more pliant and receptive of his words. At the moment, she was vulnerable, but enough to fully let down her guard. It would take more time and he could always plant the seed of suspicion later. For now, he decided, he could text his other friends.

To: Vincent

After a ten minute shower, Sienna returned to her bedroom to put on a matching printed bra and panty set. It was a daring move, especially considering her outfit for the night. But she was feeling reckless. The fact that she had downed two glasses of scotch when she had not eaten dinner yet said enough. The bra's stripes would glow in the dark beneath the revealing top. After applying a shimmering lotion that left her skin feeling silky smooth and giving off her signature scent, Sienna pulled on a pair of Abercrombie & Fitch shorts and a pair of multi-colored Giuseppe Zanotti wedges. The colors would glow in the blacklight of the club. Still topless, Sienna headed over to her vanity to work on her makeup. While the long lashes seemed pink in regular light, they would glow blue later and the eyeliner would be pink. Despite her earlier plans to have glitter all over herself, she didn't feel the need to show off artistically. She just felt like being sexy and stupid for the night. It would be a bad decision later and she would probably get chastised later, but who the fuck cared? Once her face was taken care of and a pair of silver hoops were in her ears, Sienna set to fixing her hair up. One of her favorite stylists had done her nails earlier. It didn't take long to get to the final product for her hair as she had not straightened in last night and the braids had played on the naturally curly state from her mother's genes. Satisfied, Sienna finally pulled on her long-sleeved top, a mid-driff baring little thing with large fishnet holes. It revealed the bra beneath and the neon pink shade made her skin pop. The flat tummy she had worked to keep toned would be revealed and she even chose the belly button ring whose diamond would glow pink. The top would also glow later in the night and after a spritz of perfume, Sienna was ready for her night.

Once in the town car, Sienna checked the time. It was ten minutes after eight, and so she sent out her texts, biting her lip at messaging Jane. She didn't know how the brunette would feel about her ignoring her plea, but she couldn't ignore Jane forever either.
