"Taking a chance means putting things behind me. Can I truly do that? Should I take this chance? It's confusing."

By the time Kiyoko realized that someone else was in the vicinity, her tears had stopped. Her eyes were still red and puffy, the after affects of such a thing. She rubbed her eyes of the last few tears as she sat up straight, turning so that she could see the white-haired pure-blood. She offered him a meek smile as he stopped at a respectable distance. She glanced up to the tree and laughed lightly at his statement. It would seem they held truth. This was the second time they met underneath a tree. And for some odd reason, it was also the second time that it was because she had been upset at what Eonis had did. She took a deep breath, turning her attention back to the pure-blood.

"So it seems, Hare-san," she finally replied. "Honestly, I do not know how I am feeling," she replied to his question. It was true in a sense that she didn't know. It felt as if she were being weighed down by something she couldn't explain, and as such it felt like it was difficult to breathe. This sensation was something she had never felt before. There was something similar to it that she had felt, but that was due to her brother. She had felt an emptiness in her being when she did not know what happened to him. As such, she had tried to fill that void with something that would take her mind away from him, but she always found herself lingering back to him. She pushed that away as she stared at Aeron. He then spoke of why Eonis would say such things.

"I do not blame him Hare-san. He had every right to say that. What I did, it was an accident. I truly thought for a moment that he was him, but I should have known better," she stated, trying to justify Eonis' actions and words towards her. She stood from her spot and dusted the cherry blossoms off of her in the process. She meant it though, she didn't blame him at all. She would probably have reacted (less threatening of course) the same way if someone kissed her in the intent of thinking about someone else. But she wasn't angry. Hurt maybe, but angry she wasn't. She couldn't stay angry at someone for long, no matter how they wronged her. It was something she just couldn't do. She was brought out of her thoughts when he complimented her hair. A light blush stained her cheeks in the process as she played with a strand.

"Thank you, Hare-san," she stated, tilting her head slightly and offering a small smile. "I find it a bit odd myself though," she stated, pulling a strand in front of her. She found it odd because she was a Kuran, and Kuran's typically sported auburn brown hair. Her's was a vibrant shade of crimson, something that had always caused her to question if she truly was a Kuran. But that had been quelled on more than one occasion so she knew it to be true. His next statement caused her to tilt her head in confusion. His loss? What did he mean by that? What chance? Those questions were immediately answered when he asked if she would like to take a chance with him. Her face flared up slightly at the thought.

"I...ah," she stuttered. She couldn't find the proper words to state as she stumbled over them. Be his lover, her? The question was odd and it caused her heart to beat wildly behind her chest. She couldn't stop it as she tried to calm it down. Why would he ask such a thing? It made no sense. She didn't take him as one who would want to be with anyone else other than the male prefect. Was this his way of trying to comfort her? That couldn't be right because the way he stated the question, it seemed so sincere and truthful. This only confused her more. But then again, that chance he spoke of, would she really be willing to take a chance? It would mean that she would no longer think about her brother, she could try to move on. It didn't help that these emotions she was experiencing were making it difficult to think. Perhaps it is why she nodded her head slightly to him.

"Okay," was the only word that escaped her lips. Although it was a soft whisper, she was sure he could hear it. She would take a chance. It frightened her though, as if she were not making the right decision, that she should apologize and say no. But she couldn't. She couldn't say no and she was afraid to now. It was an odd fear creeping within her. She put it off because of the fact that he was a vampire, she was a human. Although she technically wasn't truly a human, at this current moment, she was. "I will confess, I have always adored your eyes Hare-san. They are beautiful and remind me of a time long forgotten," she stated, the smile returning to her lips once more as she smiled brightly at him. Still, she couldn't help this unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach.

”It shall be a promise to keep with all I have, for me to protect you and to make you smile.”

Strong and too kind-hearted, this is what Aeron sees in her. Still justifying the recklessness of Eon, she made it so as her fault in some way. This could be the reason many had been drawn to her. They were not just mainly due to her lineage or other nonsensical matters. It is because of who she is as a person. No wonder Ito is attached to her and of course, the usually taciturn prefect loses his cool quickly. This girl has such a powerful charm which she is not aware of herself. In any case, the case of mistaken identity should not be enough to have Eon say such drastic things. Well, Eon was still a child in terms of expressing his emotions. How similar to a child throwing a tantrum.

But seeing how affected she is, Aeron has a strong feeling that the bond which ties the two will not simple end at this. So, he will allow himself to be an instrument whatever kind of relationship was meant for those two. That is why, he had asked that question without any doubt. He was sincere in his proposal of taking a chance. This affection may not bloom or if it does, he will deal with it accordingly. There would be no need for her to cry over it and feel pain, this is something he would promise to her. As the question lingered, he waited with anticipation and a tinge of nervousness.

Her reaction was normal. After all, he did just ask out of the blue to be each other's significant counterpart. They barely knew each other aside from the talks they had and the reputation built around them. Truth be said, they were complete strangers and here was asking her to be his lover. He would not mind to have her reject him. It was actually the most logical thing to do. If that was so, he would simply work hard to make her more comfortable with him and ask once more. So as she stuttered, he waited patiently. But, he was slightly anxious. His heart was beating a bit faster than normal. He wondered why this was happening.

Then, he saw her nod and heard her answer. Aeron was not sure what kind of emotion washed over him. Was it relief? Was it happiness? Was it excitement? He was not certain how to classify. All he knew, he cannot help but smile ever so sweetly along with his cheeks getting flushed in the process. His two-colored eyes gazed at her with such gentleness and warmth. She confessed that she liked his eyes. ”They are yourrs now, Kiyoko.” He said with such sincerity. Even if, this was just going to be but an instrument. He will ensure that everything will be genuine.

”I will not change anything about you.” Aeron wanted to make this clear. She might be worried about him changing her into what she truly is. However, he will not do that without her consent. At the same time, he will support her in whatever she wishes to do. ”I will always be by your side.” As such, he slowly raised his gloved hand and placed it on her cheek. This should be fine as long as there is no direct skin contact. His touch was gentle and very delicate as if she was precious china that could break from the slightest pressure. For the first time, this will the only moment where he had reached to touch someone other than Eonis.

”Then, I will be very happy if I could be your escort for the eclipse watching.” He tilted his head to the side for this inquiry. Ah yes, he did hear that something was bound to happen on that day. She must also be worried about that and judging this past days. Nothing was truly solved. She must be very confused and trying to hold on by sheer will. ”From now on, you're not alone.” He softly traced her face like wonderful sculpture and placed a finger on her lips. This was one thing he could not provide her with. Because, it will be her death. ”So smile, it suits you more Kiyoko.”

And so, the day ended on that note. Aeron was no longer a bachelor or was he accused of being a homosexual. Because right now, he is now the lover of a certain Kiyoko Tachibana. Of course, this news rippled like a tidal wave within the academy. So, it will not be surprising if it will also be known by the vampire society outside the school walls. For now, Aeron looked at the alarm clock which said that it was early morning when he is supposedly asleep. It is because, he has something to do. Without much interruption, he summoned the ever-troublesome familiar of his. ”Riri.”

On cue, his feline familiar appeared with a rather amused expression. It seemed he will not be able to hide anything from Riri. "Now, now Master. Aren't you quite the busybody?" The feline stated while her tails swished side-wards and those large eyes of her seemed to peer into the very core of his being. Of course, Aeron was used to his familiar's antics. As such, he simply lay down on his bed and placed an arm over his eyes. Riri shook her head at this. Her master had made it his responsibility to protect three people now. First, the male, second, the girl, and third, this lover. Well, things were bound to get interesting. "I'm off then" And so, Riri left the pure-blood alone as Aeron knew how different he had become.

"Choices are a profound thing. You either make the right one or you don't. But it's truly not that simple. It is why I wonder if I truly made the right one."

Kiyoko's smile only softened at Aeron's reaction and statement to her own about his eyes. They were her's now. She was slightly startled out of her thoughts when she felt something on her face. Her eyes opened once more to see Aeron tracing her face with his gloved hand. A small blush formed on her face in the process as she shifted a bit. Not because she was uncomfortable, but because this was something very new to her. She had entered into something she had no experience in and she wasn't sure where to go from here. So, she'll allow him to show her.

"Thank you, Aeron. And I'd be delighted to have you accompany me to the Eclipse viewing," she stated before his finger traced her face and landed on her lips. Her eyes widened slightly at his declaration of her not being alone anymore. They then settled back as her smile merely brightened. Not alone, it was something that she would cherish. She had someone to share her loneliness with now, so she wasn't alone any longer. With that, the night ended and a new one began.

Kiyoko sighed into her lunch as she ate silently by herself. Normally, she would be eating with her friends or with Sakura, but today was not the case. Sakura had caught a small cold and was sleeping it off, and her friends well... they were a bit annoying today. It appears that her saying yes to a certain pure-blood, spread like wild fire throughout the school. It was the subject of the day's gossip, and quite frankly, she was getting annoyed by it. Her friends and classmates kept telling her how lucky she was, that how they wished they could be in her shoes, however; it annoyed her to no end. She had only said yes due to a certain conflict, and even now she was having doubts about if she made the right decision. Then there were some who stated that she should have never rejected the prefect, how the two of them made more sense than the two-toned eyed Night Class student.

This only caused her face to flare as she angrily retorted for them to mind their own business. So, here she was, sitting outside on top of the school's roof, eating her lunch in solitaire. Not that she minded, she could use this time to reflect on her decision. She had said yes to the pure-bloods question, why? She liked him enough, but it wasn't something she could link to as something close to being considered a lover. The affection she had for him was more on terms with the same that she had for Sakura and her friends. And that was just it, friend. Maybe, if she stayed with him longer, those affection's would turn into something more. But then again, it would be forced. A love forced wasn't love at all, that much she knew. She sighed, pulling her legs up to her chest in the process.

Her eyes were hidden behind her hair as it fell over, covering her in a thick red blanket. She sighed as she released a frustrated groan. She was getting nowhere with these thoughts. She needed help, advice, something to help her. She glanced up at the sky, laughing a bit at the irony that it was bright. The clouds were idly rolling by, the sun hidden behind a few in the process, and the birds were chirping quietly. Standing from her spot, she walked over towards the edge of the building and glanced down. There, she spotted the same cherry blossom tree, the one that was now becoming the bane of her existence. It was there that it happened, and it was there that Aeron asked her that question.

She frowned slightly as a light breeze filtered through the air, bringing a few loose blossoms in the process. She grabbed a few and watched as they flew from her. A smile appeared on her lips in the process. She needed to speak with Aeron. She needed to tell him something, and apologize. She should have never said yes because she knows now that she could never love him as more than a friend. Her heart, although she knew not whom, belonged to someone else. And she would know who when the time came. She needed to correct something before it became too deep. She couldn't have that, and it wouldn't be fair to Aeron. For now, she'd remain here and wait for classes to start again. She would speak with him when the time came for the classes to switch.
