Carina was born and raised in a small village in China.She was taught Chinese and Vietnamese as a child. When she was sixteen, her father migrated to America. A year later, he sent back visas for Carina and her mother. Being from another country, and knowing so little of the local language, Carina took to ballet. She became quite talented and her parents decided to send her to a school that would help her make something of herself.
