Good morning America. This is G. Gordon Godfrey. it's August 7th, 2014. On the White House steps President Lex Luthor made a speech commemorating the men and women who lost their lives during the most recent alien attack.
This country is fortunate to have a leader that cares for it's citizens.
If only we had more good citizens like President Luthor this Earth of ours would be a safer place for all. It's now time for our Cities of America Update. We go first to Vicky Vale in Gotham City. Vicky?

"Gotham is once again under attack, and from yet another masked criminal. As of yet there has been no sight of the vigilante Batman. Police have responded but have yet been able to subdue the newest criminal in Gotham. I'll keep you informed as this situation unfolds."

Thank you Vicky. Now over to Evan Gibson in Star City.

"Star City has suffered from a major earthquake that has left a large portion of the Glades in ruin. Emergency response teams are on the scene. But it will be some time before the Glades is rebuilt and life goes back to normal. Some have wondered if the most recent alien attack is responsible for the earthquake. We'll keep you informed as we learn more about this situation."

Thanks Evan. Now on to Iris Allen in Central City.

"Central City is still under a severe weather warning. We've had a record number of tornadoes touchdown in the past two days and experts say we haven't seen the worst of it."

Our hearts are with the people of Central City. Now to Lois Lane in Metropolis.

"A group of mechanized troops have taken downtown Metropolis hostage. Police have responded but haven't had any luck in resolving the situation. There hasn't been any signs of Superman and without him I'm not sure what can be done about these mechanized terrorists."

Hopefully the situation will be resolved soon. We go now to our newest reporter. Jimmy Olsen in Coast City.

"Thanks Godfrey. Coast City is the site of yet another super powered being trying to claim he is the supreme power in the universe. He's already leveled three city blocks and there's no sign he's planing on stopping soon. No one has been able to put his rampage to an end. The police have cordoned off the area and the military as been called in. We can only hope someone will be able to end his destruction soon."

Thanks Jimmy. That's all for the Cities of America Update. As you can see folks this country is in a bit of trouble. Let's hope someone can step forward and help. I, personally, am looking to our great President Lex Luther to get this country back on track. This is G. Gordon Godfrey signing off. Good luck America
