Worthington Academy is a girl's only school where young ladies are made into fashionable inheritors or prepared to be married.

Mistress Luvern appears, a smile on her face and her hands folded gracefully behind her back. "Welcome, students and parents. The welcoming ceremony will be held in the main hall. Schedules will be handed out and questions answered shortly. Thank you." Mummers were heard all around. There was a variety of students, that's for sure. Some you can tell were from very well-fortunate families. Anastasia Hamilton and Olivia Holiday fall under this category. They were the girls that were most envied. Others, like Matilda Bronson, were scholarship students. They were sponsored by families who had too much money, but no children to leave their fortunes to. Matilda was an orphan, adopted by the Holiday's. She stood shyly behind Olivia, who avoided her touch. "Who's this poor creature?" Anastasia asked, bending a few inches to match Matilda's short stature. "Oh, she's nobody. She's the girl my parents adopted since I'm betrothed to Simon." Olivia held a smirk as she slid her gaze to Matilda. "Poor girl." Anastasia chimed. "Any-who, who's that drab girl?" Olivia asked, pointing to a girl wearing pants, which was unseen in this country. She had her hair pulled back in a untamed braid. "No idea. A scholarship?" Anastasia suggested. "Ah, Priscilla Worthington!" A woman ushered the girl to follow her. A man in a black suit picked up two suitcases and a delicate bag that had a tag reading 'handle with care'. The girl smiled and laced her arm with the woman, who led her to the great hall. Olivia let a gasp escape her lips. "Worthington? How is that?" Anastasia was never the brightest one of the bunch, sadly. "We'll get to the bottom of this." Olivia grabbed Anastasia's hand, with Matilda tagging close behind.
