It had been a long month, but finally the newest set of technologies had been fortified for the latest batch of rangers. Dr. Cranston had been working very hard with Alpha, Divatox, and Dimitria to envision how to control the power of dimensional shifting, while also retaining the need to recover the pieces to the Olympus Urn. With a sigh of relief, he placed the last of the objects into the case. A gleam could be seen from the case, upon closer inspection one could find five blank platinum medals, awaiting their owners to awaken their abilities.

"Alpha," said Cranston while he closed the case. "Did you send out the emails and documents for those five individuals?"

"Yeah doc," replied Alpha from a console behind the doctor. "They should've gotten 'em yesterday. You think they're gonna come?"

"The last rangers did," said Cranston thinking back to the last group of rangers to come into his life. They were a good bunch, that had successfully done their jobs, but now it was time for a new group to do something important. "We should make sure we're ready by the time the first couple start to arrive."

"You got it dude," said Alpha.

The ride seemed a little unnecessary, and yet Pascal quickly found himself sitting in the backseat of the Navigator, looking out at the desert passing by. It was all pretty dull, even with all the amenities one often finds in a rich kid's car. Soon enough he would be at this unmarked location and something death-defying was awaiting him. Hopefully this wasn't a hoax, life had gotten pretty dull recently and Pascal could barely hold back the yawns that found their way into everyday life.

The car suddenly came to a stop and Pascal jumped out of the car to see a strange building standing in front of him...

Image

"This is it?" he asked himself as he lifted the shades for a moment in astonishment. No one else was there, so it was probably best if he waited for anyone else to show up... He didn't think twice to jump back into his car where the cool air called to him.

The hunk of junk was on its last leg as Victoria steered it to her destination. She had received some weird message with this location, something about saving the world? Victoria could only guess this was a bust, but she was too gullible to let something like this go. Finally, she pulled up to location... the building looked decrepit and ready to fall apart. This definitely had to be a prank. She then noticed someone else parked nearby, in a very expensive vehicle, someone very very rich was here to do something.

"Figures," she said once she saw the license plate with the word 'Morte'. She'd heard plenty about the Morte family, and how the son Pascal was very irresponsible with their money. It was a wonder the family hadn't filed for bankruptcy after all he had blown. Then again, she had no idea what being unbelievably rich meant.

Victoria brought the car to a stop next to Morte's car, stepping out and taking a seat on the hood of her car. She wasn't about to see who was in that car, but going inside wasn't an option either. Hopefully someone a little more down to earth would show up.

The ride was long, but it was over in an instant. As Harold pulled up to the building in his hold Camero, he wanted to know just how viable a feeling of relief was at this moment. He looked at the two other cars parked next to him. One really rich, the other about to fall apart. Yep, this was going to be a fun bunch to interact with. He jumped out of his car and walked over to the girl sitting on the hood of her car,

"Hey," he said with a nod. "So what's going on?"

When Brooke received her envelope telling her to go to the desert for a life or death mission, the first thing she did was rifle through her brother's mail to see if he had gotten the same letter. When she found no such envelope in his mail stack, Brooke couldn't help but feeling overjoyed. Finally someone had recognized her excellence as an individual... even if it was just a hoax. Or a scavenger hunt. Her friends were known to do crazy things like that. Plus her birthday was coming up... surprise party maybe?

With all that in mind, Brooke clutched the envelope as she got into her red Ford Focus. The car was a gift, given to her by her father for one specific feature. This model lets you know exactly how many miles you have until you run out of gas, something the irresponsible young girl did often.

Brooke checked herself in the mirror upon entering the car. She was dressed stylish in case it was a party, yet practical in case it wasn't. No way was she going to be caught off guard.

The directions were easy enough to follow, though things got tricky once she reached the desert. However, there was only building in the distance, so she guessed that was her destination. When she arrived, a few people were already there. However, she recognized none of them. There were two people she could see, a boy and a girl. She guessed at least one other person was waiting inside their car.

Brooke got out of her car, slamming the door a little louder than necessary. She still clutched her envelope as she approached the two people, her blue eyes scanning the desert.

"Alright, can anyone fill me in on what this is about?" she asked, assuming the others knew more than she did.

Victoria shook her head at the question from the new girl that showed up. "No clue. Could be anything really." She pointed over at the car, "Though I'm more interested to see what a Morte has to do with all of this." Finally, she'd worked up the courage to go over and get a peek at who was in the car. A reassured knock came from her hand onto the window. She'd wait as long as possible to get a reply. She had people there to back her up if it came to that... or so she hoped.

The day dream he was wallowing in suddenly became interrupted by a banging on the glass. Pascal stirred slowly as his eyes adjusted to the lights coming through the tinted glass. Nothing too strenuous, but enough to make him squirm for a split second. He looked up to see his driver was dozing as well... so much for good help. He turned to the window, seeing a mousy girl with reddish hair staring into the window. It was doubtful she could see him, but it was still eerie to see someone stare so intently...

"Can I help you?" he asked as he rolled down the window. Pascal was quick to notice two other people standing by their cars, it seemed that if anything this hoax had been picked up by a couple other people, so at least he wasn't alone. He decided to get out of the car, but not before waking up his driver and telling him to stay here until he got back in the car.

A couple steps, a brush of his shirt, and a readjustment of his shades followed his leaving the vehicle. The other two looked normal, the guy a little geeky, the girl a little too big for her britches. This was definitely a colorful bunch to say the least. "So I guess that's all of us... How many did the letter say? Four? Five?"

Grant walked the streets Angle grove. He was here because of a E-Mai he had gotten from Some random ass person. He Was near the pizza Shop as people were pointing at him and talking about him. He wasn't surprised. He Hoped on his bike which was a nice blood red. He mad his way to what seemed like four other people. He took off the helmet and looked at them " You all get the same E-mail ?" he asked them as he swung him self of the bike " Hi iam Grant Graves but you can all call me G.G " he gave them a halfhearted smile. He took of the riding jacket he had on It was black. His shirt was an apple red and his pants were a light faded blue. He still had his Black biker gloves on as he walked to the others. " Nice car " He said pointing at the Nice car " That is Nice" He smiled. Of course he was being sarcastic but he still wanted to see what was under the hood. He loved anything that had a engine!

"Looks like the whole gang's here," said Harold under his breath. There had to be some kind of hoax waiting for this mismatched group. He decided to go forward without warning. If they were smart or aware they'd follow him. He had to know just what this was all about...

Inside there was enough dust to make someone with no nose have a sneezing fit. The consoles were rusted and decrepit. This whole hoax thing was starting to turn out to be true.

"Hello!" he yelled out to the air. "Anybody home?"

It didn't take long to figure out the guy that came out of the luxury vehicle. Pascal Morte was more than known about town... as being one of the fakest people known to mankind. She couldn't bare to look at him, so Victoria turned to the others that were there. A guy on a motorcycle showed up, not long before the scrawny kid started walking towards the building on his own.

"Hey! What up!" she yelled as she followed after him. Inside was some dust and old junk, something out of ancient times. She jumped a little bit when the kid next to her yelled out.

"Geesh," she said. "You think they heard you?"

Pascal wasn't sure to be offended or honored with the way the nerdy girl responded to his query. Apparently she was smart enough to read his license plate and figure out who he was and what kind of reputation proceeded him... Apparently it wasn't a good one at all. No matter though, as he was never one to regret what he did in his past, but rather try and fix it in the present and future. Here's hoping this whatever-it-was would help him do just that.

He flashed the Morte winning smile at the other two standing there before venturing inside himself. Once inside, he had no choice, but to laugh at the girl who was now jumping like a scared little bunny.

"Wow," he said under his laughter. "You want to hold my hand?"

Meanwhile....

Cranston had but finished the last of his preparations when a sensor made a noise. He quickly turned to see that someone had entered the building. One... two... three... two more still outside. He smiled at their arrivals. It still amazed him how much these chosen ones were willing to accept the beginning of their destinies.

"Alpha," he said without turning around. "Why don't you do the honor?"

"You got it dude," replied Alpha as the robot stopped what it was doing and walked towards the door that would lead to the fake room the soon-to-be rangers were standing. From his viewing screen, Cranston could see the door slide open and Alpha step out.

"Yo," said Alpha. "Welcome one and all."

He walked after the others. He put on his sun shades. " This place is a dump " He said as he walked in the door.
He saw the tiny robot " What the hell is that " He pointed at Alpha . He walked over to the robot " What are you dude some kinda freak alien robot" He said with a laugh. as he walk around the place " Cool " he said seeing all the junk. He looked and saw some random ass guy. And he thought ' Why the hell dose this guy have a robot dammit, Maybe he's super smart' he thought to him self for two minutes.

For a minute, Harold thought he was going to have to change his pants when he saw the robot come out of the secret doorway. To think this type of technology still existed... What's more is the vast laboratory that was set up behind what he figured was a decoy room. All the lights and beeps brought back so many memories from his past, he wasn't sure how to react. He noticed the man looking at something on a screen.

"So, you run this place?"

Now Victoria knew she was easily startled, but when the robot came out of the hole in the wall... she just about had a heart attack! She looked at the robot, making a mental note of the way it spoke... very unrobot-like... The mechanics seemed very ancient from what she could tell, but it was running perfectly as if nothing had ever damaged it.

"Nice to meet you," she said to the robot with a nod. She quickly followed after the other nerdy kid into the crazy laboratory that stood fully functioning. "I wonder what the electric bill is for this place."

She went up to the guy at one of the consoles, "So what's going on? Did you send that email? You weren't very straight-forward in your message." If there was anything Victoria was good at, it would be interrogation to get all the facts and to expand her already limitless knowledge.

Re: Power Rangers: Olympus IC

Pascal was enjoying this for the most part. There was still that underlying lameness factor that always seemed to make it's way into his conscious. It was usually something that took up a majority of his time, but today the thought of this actually working out took over; leaving Pascal beaming from ear to ear as he inspected the robot and the lab. The others seemed to overlook the two ethereal being floating in two giant glass tubes against one wall. He gave a modest wave before turning to the doctor as the man began to answer the many questions that were being thrown at him.

"Thank you all for coming," said the man. "My name is Dr. Michael Cranston. I've brought you all here because I have a very important mission for you to take on. I see all of you have answered my email with your presence and I am very happy to have you here. The mission I have called you all to complete is one that involves the safety of the planet. I believe you are all aware of the disturbance that fell upon the planet a couple years ago. Luckily Nodroz was sealed back into the alternate dimension, however, at the expense of a very important object."

He clicked on a button that brought up a picture of an old pottery jar of what seemed to be of Ancient Greek origins. "This is the Olympus Jar. It was filled with energy from the gods of Mount Olympus. The energy can be used to stop such devistating catastrophes such as the one with Nodroz. As a result if the jar activating, it shattered and was somehow dragged into the alternate dimension. I need your help to retrieve the jar pieces as well as try to stop any resistance that Nodro may try to advance on the Earth again."

"And how do we do that?" asked Pascal after that long winded speech.

"With these," replied Cranston as he picked up the case from earlier. He opened it to reveal the five medallions attached to ribbons with their names each one. He vacant to hand them out accordingly. "These medallions were created from the residual energy left behind by the jar along with the combined efforts of myself and the two sisters, Divatox and Dimitria. Place them around your necks and use the activation password, 'Olympus Overdrive, Power Up!'"

"All right sounds easy enough," said Pascal at an alarmingly easy acceptance of all the dribble that had just passed through Cranston's mouth. He guessed it had something to do with not wanting to be bored that kept the skepticism at bay. He placed the medallion around his neck,

"Uh, Olympus Overdrive, Power Up?"

Immediately a tidal wave of energy washed over him. From what he could tell the energy was purple in color and had a ghostly appeal to it. Suddenly the wave was gone, leaving behind a ranger outfit in royal purple with gold-plated shoulder guards and gold fillagree at the tops of his gloves. On his chest was the medallion now sporting a profile of Hades and two white stripes coming out of the medal and around his neck. He snuck a peak in some shiny metal to see his helmet that looked something like this...

Image
((Imagine it purple with the black visor in the open space and more of the natural ranger helmet shape))

"I guess this is for real..." he said trailing off as he was still stunned by what had just happened. He had to wonder if the others would do the same or run screaming for the hills.

(( Ok so here is the ranger outfit template. Obviously colors and gods will vary as well as how the visors will be shaped. There's a lot of explanation in the OOC thread so if you get confused check there. Also, if you get bogged down by trying to describe the visor part, just paste a pic of the helmet you had in mind and we'll get the jist of it.))

Seeing the rich kid, apparently named Pascal from what was on his medallion earlier, transform into a Power Ranger was pretty far out there even for a techno-geek like Harold. It frightened him a little bit that this was for real, kinda like the matrix. Once he transformed, there was no going back to a regular life... then again, his life was pretty boring at the moment.

"Olympus Overdrive, Power Up!" he said without a moment of hesitation. Suddenly a tidal wave of blue energy hit him. For a split second, he felt a little drowsy in the smoky material before the wave disappeared to reveal his outfit. Blue with a gray tint made up the majority of his suit, with matching shoulder and glove pieces. From what he could see on his medal, was the profile of Morpheus, the god of dreams. Perhaps not what he was expecting, but it was more interesting than the typical Neptune or whatever. His helmet took on this sort of effect...

Image

When it was all done, he had no choice but to utter those typical nerdy words, "Neat-o!"

It was a bit disappointing to Victoria that she wasn't the first one to try it out, but at least she could see what she was going to be dealing with. She placed the medallion around her neck and said in an overly-cool voice,

"Olympus Overdrive, Power Up."

The subsequent tidal wave to hit her was yellow by nature which would have made the normal person become very worried, however this one was filled with a mixture of math equations and feathers so she had a hint to what her goddess was going to be... Sure enough when the wave dissipated, her medal sported the profile of Athena. The rest of her yellow suit matched the others with the exception of the addition of a skirt to her's, the shoulder pieces/glove adornments smaller and made out of platinum, and her helmet looking like this:

Image

She held back any cliched line that may try to escape and instead waited for the other two to finish their transformations.

Brooke had spent the majority of the time in the building in the background. At first she had tried to pay attention to what the man was saying, but when he started to go into details she was completely lost. However, she did understand the most important detail. She, along with the others in the room, were selected to save to world. Brooke almost cracked up laughing at the absurdity of that statement. She could understand why she was selected, of course. Her constant competition with her brother led her to being very good at a multitude of things. It was also obvious why the other girl was selected. Judging by the looks of her, it was quite obvious she was some sort of genius. Or at least just really smart.

When Dr. Cranston handed her a medallion, Brooke snapped back to attention. It was relatively plain, with a pink ribbon. Clearly someone in this place knew what her favorite color was. Brooke was unsure of that to do with this... gift. That it, until she saw one of her "team mates" put on the medallion. Suddenly, he transformed before her eyes.

Brooke was initially shocked, but after a few more people morphed, she got the hint and followed suit.
"Olympus Overdrive, Power up." she said, placing the medallion around her slender neck. The words felt silly as they flowed from her mouth.
What happened next was not silly at all. A wave of energy crashed over her so forcefully that she was sure she would be knocked down. However, when the energy hit, it didn't hurt at all. Matter of fact, it felt good. Amazing even. It made her feel strong, and sure.

When the energy cleared, Brooke noticed the world now had a bit of a silvery tint. She brought a gloved hand towards her face. Previously bare, it was not encased in pink fabric. Excited, Brooke took a few steps toward the first large, shiny object she saw. Her entire body was clad in a pale pink fabric. It was thin and flexible, yet clearly strong. There were pale silver, almost white accents on her gloves, arms and boots. Like the other girl, she had a small skirt over her leggings. She now wore a helmet as well. It was smooth and relatively plain. It covered her entire head, the front sides coming down in points. In the middle another strip covered the area over her nose and between her eyes. It stopped just before her mouth. The rest was covered in a visor made of the same silver color that adorned her suit. On her chest, the medallion was no longer plain.

Brooke studied the face on the medallion. It took her a moment before she recognized the Goddess Eos was looking back at her. Brooke thought back to when she had read the Odyssey in school. Eos was almost always referred to as the "Rosy Fingered Dawn." Even though she was one of the lesser known Goddesses, she was considered beautiful and just. She was the Goddess of Dawn.

"Alright," Brooke said finally, looking at the others. "can't say I expected to be doing this when I woke up this morning."

He looked at the Medallion and smiled " Cool " He put it on and yelled "Olympus Overdrive, Power Up." The Medallion glowed as the suit formed and he smiled. " Ok This is asome" he said looking at the The flames forming around him and then the suit appeared. It was a blood red and his body felt stronger
and faster. His helmet was red and the visor looked like on of those spartan helms he looked at the others " How do i look?" he smiled
The red suit was nice and fitting.

((Note to theunholy, the helmet doesn't have the brushes on top. The visor just mimics the helmet opening, so it's still like a regular ranger helmet. Just thought I'd let you know and in case you want to change your description...))

"Right," said Cranston after the last of the rangers had transformed. He was happy to see Greg had been chosen to be the leader, for he had heard great things about him, that he was worthy of the title at the moment. It would be interesting to see how he would lead this group, but he had to put faith in the medals for choosing who they did. "Now, we've got to get moving. It is vital for you to get to the other dimension immediately."

"Wait," said Pascal. "The other dimension? Are you saying we have to go into a totally different world?"

"Yes," said Cranston. "The jar pieces were trapped on the other side when the vortex closed. We need to get you over there with the Spectrum Transporter as soon as possible."

"I don't think that's possible," said Pascal. "I've got a life to live."

"I'm afraid once you put that medal on, you're new destiny had already begun."

"But..." stalled Pascal. "What happens if the transporter breaks? What if we're stuck over there forever?"

"Trust me," said Cranston. "This machine has been my life's work. If I didn't believe it was capable of sending you, I would not have called you all here."

This was getting really weird and Pascal had to make a choice. Would he abandoned this and go back home to a city that was sick of his name and persona? Would he go through the rabbit hole and possibly be stuck there for the rest of his life? He had to do something...

"Ok," he said. "Where's this Spectrum thing?"

"Follow me," said Cranston. He began walking towards a set of double doors, a key pad sat ready for the entry code, which the doctor provided without a second thought. The doors opened up to reveal a giant contraption with several glass tubes surrounding it. Each had a different colored matter swirling and bubbling around. The tubes circled around a platform with five spots designated probably for them. There was a giant super computer located next to it, which Cranston immediately began to tinker with and press several keys.

"When you're ready, each of you can step onto one of the spots. It's probably best if you're not in ranger form, so that the machine doesn't get overloaded with energy. You can power down by pressing the medal on your chest at any time."

After pressing his medal, Pascal was back in his civilian clothes and up on the platform ready to go. He needed to get this over with before there was a chance for him to chicken out...

"Hmm," was all Victoria could muster to say. It wasn't out of disrespect, but for being shell shocked by what had just happened and what was happening right in front of her very eyes. From the news of inter-dimensional travel, to seeing the device that would make the travel possible... she could get into the whole effect of knowledge, but this was beginning to get to her head. If not for a good enough excuse not to get onto the platform, her only hesitation was trying to remember how to power down...

A few minutes later and she caught a glimpse of Pascal powering down, so she did the same thing. She stepped into a spot next to Pascal and waited to go. Maybe the nervousness got her to break her silence treatment of Pascal?

"So... isn't this all just really weird?"
