The Legacy of the Saphire Templar (rated M)

[Anuraiel]

"I was waiting for such a question during the ride here," he said. "The demons came from hell ofcourse, and they are after us because of me." his armor began to fade away and his clothes from earlier replaced the armor. As the pauldrons and bracers faded away, his riding coat slowly returned to a dirty brown before his sword faded from his side.

"I am Anuraiel...Sapphire Templar and leader of the Crystal Tepmlar. As the leader of the Crystal Templar I also assumed the responsibilities of the Temple Master. The demons that attacked us are under the command of Duraeon, a demon who for what ever reason has made it his mission to destroy me and the temple," he said. "As far as his motives go, if he kills me before I can find and awaken the other Templars, the armies of hell will be able to overpower the Crystal Realms and take them by force, degrading it and casting it into darkness."

He looked over to the elf. "Whether she realizes it or not," he said, "That elf...the Ruby has seemed to have chosen her as a candidate for its power." He looked Akishra in the eyes. "We must do anything and everything we can to keep her alive. If she accepts the Ruby and passes the trials, my death wouldnt spell disaster for the Crystal Realms for she would rise to take my place to find another to carry my sword and to awaken the others."

"Is there anything else you wish to know about the situation we have come to be in," he asked.

[Akishra]

Akishra already had a question forming.

'What is "hell"?' she asked. 'I don't think it exists on my world.'

[Anuraiel]

"Its a realm of the abyssal plane of existance, ruled by Lucifer. It is where Lucifer and the angels who sided with him in the first primordial war were banished to. They harbor a grudge against God and the angels of heaven and are still continuing a war between the two," he said. "It is basically the war between good and evil."

Putting his flint and steel down he put a hand against one of the logs he was trying to use for the fire and pressed against it, causing it to ignite. "I hate flint," he said.

[Akishra]

Angels? Heaven? God? Akishra thought. 'I still don't understand,' she said. 'We don't have any of those on our world.'

Looking away from the reflection of the fire dancing in her eyes he turned his attention towards the fire, placing another log on it to build it up a little bit for heat. "You'll catch on soon enough," he said. "Theres far more out there than just this universe..For all you might know you are still on your home planet, just on a different plane of existance."

Hel came over and lad down next to him. "Picky picky picky, arent you?" he said as Hel laid her head down near him. "Do you even sleep when you are in the stables?" he asked her.

She lay unconscious, but her eyes glowing every time one of the others touched her. Her mind had screamed out in pain each time, she had wanted to kill, to weep, to love with every light brush of a finger. She begged her body to move, to let her get away from them, away from anyone, but her body would not obey. Her captor's punishment had been very swift, but she had known it would be. She always knew what he, what anyone would do. She couldn't get away from it. And she couldn't remember how she had gotten there in the first place. She had nothing but a faint whisper of who she was, an epic lullaby that had been ripped away at the first touch.

Her senses returned to her very slowly, Akishra's medicine's working wonders, though not as quickly as they would have on a human. She felt the presence of Akishra leave the place suddenly, and she knew she was in the presence of the sapphire templar himself. How she yearned to Run, to get away from him, from all people! And still her body would not respond! Breathlessly she cursed her human bones, then settled in to wait for mobility to return.

HE turned his head towards the girl, feeling her energies returning and spiritual strength returning to her body. Anuraiel stood up and went over to her sitting down near her. "You'll be alright soon," he said as he gently put a hand to her forehead.

He sat back and waited for her to awaken, not quite sure if she had been aware of the events that had happened over the course of the night. He rubbed a hand over his face after tossing another log onto the fire.
