Name - Ihy Benten

Race – Human, but with divine blood.

Age - 28

Stature - Tall and lithe, Ihy seems shorter due to the fact that he slouches and moves only when necessary. He is fairly strong, thanks to his very semi-divine blood, but never uses this strength, as that would take effort.

Appearance – Ihy has two main styles of clothing: drab and normal looking wear, and flashy stuff that he wears for shows. Ihy is normal and boring looking, and can easily blend into any crowd. That bring said, however, he can modulate his voice to hold an audience for as long as he wants, thanks to his music skill.

Occupation – Bard. He also has well-honed pickpocket and spying skills, and puts them to use whenever he can, just to make money.

Weapons – Ihy dislikes hand-to-hand fighting, and so keeps a pair of hand crossbows, two bandoliers of throwing stars, and an extremely high quality repeating crossbow that is outfitted with a gnome-crafted scope. Ihy is deadly accurate with any of these. He also has a pair of trench knives for if he absolutely has to get close.

Instrument – Ihy’s instrument usually looks like a drab and battered lute, but it can take what ever form necessary. It is being possessed by a ghost, Bast, who is a very sardonic ancestor of Ihy’s. She was fused with the Benten clan’s prize instrument after playing a song that the local necromancer hated. Because of Bast’s skill, she can make the instrument provide backup playing for Ihy.

Magical Ability - Ihy’s Great-great-great-great… (He has no clue how far back) grandfather was a god of music (he’s never sure which god), and Ilys has his ancestor’s musical ability. With this, he is able to make magic through his music, and the topic of whatever he sings about will be the effect of the spell. Ihy is quite possibly one of the most powerful mages ever, and it takes tremendous amounts of power to counteract his spells, but he is limited to the topic of the song that he sings, and must come up with a song before he can cast.

Personality – Lazy to a fault, Ihy loves music, and money. There’s not much else, though. He would much rather sleep, drink or sing then anything else, and will do everything he can to keep out of a conflict.
