I don't understand what you're saying. Too on the rails? If you mean not free form enough I believe we've already agreed on a basic plot line that the GM is going to be guiding us through, which is already clearly nor a free form style of play.

I don't know, I think a point system could work. We could have a leveling system, where the GM hands out level ups when he thinks we've earned them, and we get a new bunch of points to allocate, maybe learn new special moves as well. Could help for character growth, and a reward system is proven to ...
