Well in this particular case it wasn't like the Wolves were directly responsible. <.< They were hired to do a job, and they actually succeeded. From my angle they were paid to kill Morrigan who Soif knew, and her 'Warlord'. I doubt they realized it was Grim till he showed up. Thus why they were back...
