Re: Why Anime!? Why!?

I think the main reason would be the fact that we expect things to be disproportionate in drawings for the most part, but there's also the level of the shape of the actual eyes and face. It would probably look less odd if the real girl's eyes were shaped more like the anime girl's eyes.

Re: The Way The World Turns~Closed~

"I don't mind that you talk. I don't really, so it doesn't matter. Also, I don't have anything to do. I rarely do. Mostly, I just do homework," he answered, shrugging and giving Danny a smile. He really wasn't sure what Danny was thinking about. Also, he wasn't sure how things would roll ...

Re: The Way The World Turns~Closed~

He half smiled as the other guy started going on. Ellie had never asked a question and gotten more than a few word response. Usually people didn't talk to him. If they did, it was as little as possible. It was never as in detail as Danny was starting to do. He wasn't sure how that affected his feel...

Re: The Way The World Turns~Closed~

"They will. It's something that goes with the territory. I mean, when you fall in love, you love them for who they are, not who you want them to be or anything like that. That even means you fall in love with what they want to be and want to become, and you strive to help them. At least, that'...

Re: The Way The World Turns~Closed~

Elliot was relieved that Danny took his comment in the way he did. He calmed a little and snorted at what the other guy said about manners. "It doesn't matter that much. Besides, eating sloppily can actually be quite fun. Been there, done that," he answered, with an awkward smile. Silence...

Re: The Way The World Turns~Closed~

Elliot looked up and smiled a little. "Oh, it's fine. I don't really have anybody else I sit with," he answered, biting his lip nervously. He wasn't used to people approaching him on friendly terms, which made him a little worried. What if the guy was acting nice so that he could make a b...

Re: The Way The World Turns~Closed~

"You know, I thought you people were more creative. It seems not. Ah well, bravo for the show anyway," he said shrugging. He glanced at Danny and sighed inwardly. The other guy was nice and good looking. However he was also known for being very straight. Ellie knew that Danny got teased, ...

The Way The World Turns~Closed~

He walked into school. It was the first day of the second semester of his last year in high school. He read carefully, enjoying the book until it was pushed out of his hands. Everybody who was around laughed and teased him as his other things were shoved to the ground. "Hello. Nice to see you ...

Re: Souls

The last one is not old as I have already pointed out. It is actually from around 2006-2007. Also, I shall now leave before I start acting rude and swearing like you have already kindly done to me. Thank you, and good day.

Re: Souls

Note: The Germans had different results and more exact data unlike MacDougall. Thank you for your time, but it's not the same exact study, and the results are not the same. Also, the last one is a lot more recent and thus, more relevant to the discussion at hand.

There's another source. Thank you very much.

There's another.
Enjoy, and knock yourself out. I know the first one wasn't so believable or reliable, but I hope these suffice.

Re: Souls

http://www.noeticsciences.co.uk/weighting-the-human-soul/ There's an article. I am not trolling. I am part of a high school competitive speech and debate team. We run drills to help build cases, flow, and otherwise compete properly. I can prove that people do compete in speech and debate if you don'...

Re: Souls

Yes. That's what happens when you get your teacher to have some students prepare to debate whether or not gingers have souls. You can probably find the study online thanks to the internet. I'm pretty sure that's how he found it. Regardless, it's true because we are not allowed to compete with false ...

Re: Souls

.....There was a study done. They weighed people before and after death. Hypothetically, if you don't have a soul that leaves soon after death, you wouldn't lose weight when you died. They discovered the weight of the soul, and thus more or less proved it. Exact definitions differ, but it does exist.

Isn't everyone about to fall?

Hello all you lovely folks who decided to check this out. I appreciate it very much. Anyway! I must get started! What you can expect of me: I fancy myself literate, though my replies vary in length. Often times it is dependent on sleep, how much you give me to work with, and the ability for my mind ...

Re: Competition: Healthy?

I think some competition is healthy, but not all. I mean, those shows may be fun to watch, but I don't think it's healthy competition. I think the only really healthy competition is the kind that helps you grow in your knowledge of something and yourself. Overall, if you only gain a prize from it, i...

Re: Roleplay Partner Wanted

DUDE!! I actually have a plot for Angel X Demon!!! What a crazy-random-happenstance!!!!
I do M X M 'cause I'm still working out the failtacular kinks in my female characters.
Also, I am open to any plots and willing to work to find out something we'd both like.

Re: Race And Music

It is mainly stereotyping. We, as the consumer, connect things. What we are used to, we tend to stick to. Thus, we also stereotype when it comes to musical genres. I tend to judge based on the message each individual band(sometimes individual songs) have to give and the skills of the singer and inst...
