Re: Power Rangers: The Final Frontier

Mankind has always strived for becoming bigger and better with every passing year, first we travelled the oceans, then the skies and finally, space. It seemed that with every new accomplishment, we grow even more eager to advance to the next ‘level’. But very few were prepared for the next level in the year 2015, when we first made communications with an alien race. That was over 200 years ago, today, Earth is but the mother ship for humanity and her colonies. The human race has spread throughout the galaxy, new colonies have been built in space, new planets and alien races have emerged and with it, humanities advanced technology has jumped hundreds of years.

However, it seems not everyone is so happy that humanity has now entered the galactic community. Some, not many mind you, of the aliens races have argued that humanity is not ready to join the ranks of other races who have been a part of the galactic empire for centuries. However, their voices were mainly ignored by the majority who favoured humanities advancement and chose to welcome their new brothers into a new era. The Council, who were the governing body of all the united races, blessed humanity in the “brotherhood” and it seemed they had secured their position among their new found allies.

While many who had shown opposition remained silent and even began to be swayed to the human’s side, not everyone chose to keep their objections hidden. Zoyrin, also known as ‘Tyrant’ for his cruel and sometimes rash decision making, was a member of The Council and outwardly raged against the idea of humans, who he considered to be weak and tainted and would be nothing but a cripple to the galaxy. Though his words were mainly ignored by the other council members, he became more and more obsessed in finding ways to bring down humanity. He began to secretly form support around the Galaxy, getting the best people he could, scientists, assassins, anyone he could find willing to help him.

Two years later, Zoyrin attacked the Council’s fleet. Caught off guard by a member of the Council’s attack, Zoyrin had the upper hand and used his appointed men to take over the fleets. With his sights on human colonies, Zoyrin began to attack any colony he could find and within a few days, before the Council even had enough time to counter-attack, hundreds of colonies filled with humans were gone forever.

Those who had fallen silent over their dislike for humanity now had the chance to speak up and many began to join with Zoyrin, his numbers only increasing. Though most races refused to co-operate with Zoyrin, with the fleet in his control and few other fleets able to hold up against the Council’s own fleet, Zoyrin has had his eyes set on humanity’s mother ship, Earth.

For five years, Zoyrin has attacked the Earth, battling against their defences in an attempt to break through and finally taken over. While Earth may be beaten, it was by no means down for the count and has managed to hold off Zoyrin’s attacks for the past five years. Knowing he couldn’t take control through space, Zoyrin landed on Earth itself and has begun to take over the old fashioned way; one country at a time. He has started to build what he believes to be “perfection” on Earth, his dark and horrific empire slowly being built over Earth’s green land. It does not take a genius to figure out that eventually, Earth will fall; it’s just a matter of time.

With the Council unable to do anything that effective against Zoyrin and with their being years before any alien race can form a fleet that could match Zoyrin’s, humanity must think for itself. With that in mind, the USA government, desperate for any kind of defence against the growing threat of defeat, they brought together their brightest scientist, including a man named Robert Ranger to find some way to counter Zoyrin’s invasion.

Robert Ranger and others began to spend the next ten years designing a super-human warrior known as ‘Project Ranger’, eventually named ‘Power Ranger’. Becoming obsessed in the project, Robert spent as much time as he could perfecting the creation with his pupil, Doctor K. After ten, gruelling years, the first ever Power Ranger was created. However, before Project Ranger could be released to the Government for multiplication, Zoyrin’s forces located the secret base in which the scientists were working and launched an attack. Knowing he would likely not get out alive, Robert helped smuggle Doctor K out and gave her the final plans for Project Ranger, telling her to do all she could to re-create his Project and keep their only hope alive.

That was over 10 years ago. The year is now is now 2230 and Doctor K has formed a resistance against Zoyrin. She has spent her time creating Power Rangers and recruiting suitable candidates for each Ranger. She has been able to find five Rangers so far, but the last suit has remained unsuitable for anybody and without their sixth member, can the Rangers even stand up to the likes of Zoyrin? Will the Council ever be able to help humanity and what really happened to Robert Ranger in the end?

Cody was once a warm and loving kid who had a rather vivid imagination, often believing in superheroes protecting people in all sorts of ways, including in your dreams. However, with the loss of his family, Cody has grown up to be a street smart kid, with very little desire to help others and often acting alone in his actions. However, this is usually just a mask for what he went through and how scared he really is. Perhaps being alone for most of his life has taught him to stay alive, but its also taught him not to trust anyone and perhaps that is what he has to learn most of all. Trust.

Cody’s first few years of his life started off like any others, he had a loving mother and a dad he looked up to greatly and their family seemed normal enough. That was until his father called up for this so called “secret project” as father had called it. At first, Cody loved it, he got to visit the base sometimes and even got to see what his father was making to help humanity, he was like a hero! But eventually, he wasn’t allowed to visit and his dad didn’t come home as often and then he didn’t come at home at all.

Cody didn’t see his father at all for the last three years, his mother was heartbroken and Cody was confused why his father had stopped loving them and had abandoned them. Had he done something wrong? Cody was a confused child, but he slowly grew up fast when Zoyrin’s men came to their house, killed his mother and burnt the place to the ground. Had Cody not been playing in the garden at the time, he probably would have been unable to get away in time.

For the last few years of his life, Cody has grown colder and harder, not trusting anyone and doing what he can to stay alive. He’s scared mostly, but he doesn’t let it show. You can’t let it show if you want to survive, fear is weakness and on the streets, weakness can cost you your life.
