To most, Eloise comes off as the sweet innocent chancellor she wants the public to see her as. For the most part this isn't an act, towards those she likes she often acts this way. However, her moods can change at the drop of a hat. The smallest things can set her off, especially if it's done by someone she already dislikes. She does her best to conceal her anger while in public, but the moment they're behind closed doors her personality she'll berate them to no end.

When she wants something she'll often try to manipulate someone into bending to her whims. If that doesn't work an encounter can go south really fast. Often leading to threats or bodily harm. A side of her seen almost exclusively by those she trades with, keeping them in place with her constant reminders of who's in charge the moment they step out of line. None of them daring to go public about her violent side, as who would believe the seemingly innocent young chancellor would be capable of such a thing. Demands by the public for their arrest and execution would roar throughout the capital, and the chancellor would happily fulfill their requests.

Eloise get's easily embarrassed by small things, especially if they're someone she gets along with. As people like that are few and far between, she rarely encounters this problem. Anyone who does cause her public embarrassment will be put to death, of course that wasn't a justifiable reason to end someone's life. So she left her court members to set them up for a crime, a privilege they often use to cover up their own crimes.

From the moment she was born, everyone knew she would take over for her father as chancellor. As the first and only child of Alain Agthoven, unless she met with an unfortunate accidents, the throne would be hers. Growing up she knew this, only the finest tutors would come to teach her, and people went out of their way to be kind to her. She was more than aware of people's ulterior motives, her father taught how to sense this from a young age. Showing her how to keep those below her in line, while simultaneously retaining a glowing reputation in the public eye. Everything he knew was passed on to her, the good, the bad, and the neutral. Her mood swings being one of them, a technique she picked up from seeing many of his outbursts.

When her father passed away Eloise was devastated. He had been away on diplomatic business, though it was declared as a heart attack, many people were suspicious. Foul play wasn't too far fetched, there was no shortage of drugs that could be used to emulate a heart attack. Unable to trace it back to anyone, it was a cold trail.

Stepping up in her father's place, Eloise did her best to make the best decisions and actions to keep the peace. After several attempted assassinations, her advisers began to urge her to take on a bodyguard. Whether they suggested this in her best interest or plan to manipulate them, she doesn't know, but she holds them in rather high regards and din't want to disappoint them. So her search began.

So begins...

Na'ari Azura was captured. He put up a long and strenuous fight against the army. But in the end, he had no choice but to give in to his injuries and the remaining force. He felt embittered at what it all means. Trial, verdict, death. He was the only son in his family, which means the branch of the family tree he was budding would be snipped off, and the chance the Azura line would be extinct in the male line would be very likely.

"Na'ari Azura XII. The charges are as follows, resisting arrest, the destruction of several places of businesses an-" drolled an officer who was listing his charges.

"Destruction of places of criminal intent. Correct that. And drop the twelve, the only reason I was named The twelfth was because I lucked out of a more simpler name due to my resemblance to my forefather." the accused interrupted and walked forward in his cell but was stopped by the discomforting shock of an electric chain strapped to his waist. "You're simply causing a disease to run rampant in the Galaxy that deserved cleaning up."

"You are a disease Mister Azura. We will be happy to remove you permanently off this Gala-" the officer was interrupted by the approach of someone highly important. Na'ari could only sit back and watch the approach. It appeared to be a woman, but what was a woman doing here?

"A little lost are we? The visiting areas are that way." Na'ari stated as he pointed in a random direction. "You're in the holding cells, why come down here and visit a guy about to be torn apart by the Chancellor?" His joking mood shifted from joking to serious as he asked his question. He didn't care who the woman was he just wanted to be rid of her as soon as possible. But he knew he shouldn't joke. He was on Valsir, the Capitol of the Galaxy. His home planet, it would be likely that he might die on the planet that spawned him. But it seemed deep in heart he knew that, and was trying to put humor into his imprisonment.

Eloise sat across from a balding man, legs crossed as she sipped from her cup of tea. It was her first time meeting the foreign ambassador, he seemed to be a rather happy man, though it was quite obvious he was hiding something. His palms were sweating profusely and he wasn't able to sit still in his seat. Though she hadn't really been paying attention to most of his ramblings, his sudden change of tone grabbed her attention. "If I've heard correctly, you don't yet have a suitor. My son woul-"Refusing to let him continue any further, she slammed her hands onto the table in front of them. A teapot tumbled off of the table shattering into hundreds of tiny fragments.

"I take it you're aware of the authority I hold?" Receiving a fearful nod from the quivering ambassador, she took it as her cue to continue. "I'm the most powerful person in the universe, I have enough military power at my disposal to destroy a planet." A twisted grin played across her lips. "I hear you have a son?" Looking over to her assistant Naomi who was holding up two fingers. "Oh, so you have two sons. It would be a tragedy if they were to meet with a freak accident, wouldn't it? You're no more than ants to me, the moment I feel irritated or bored I can and will dispose of you. There's no way I would even consider the hand of an ant, plus, I don't want bald children."

Standing up from the table, she left the dumbstruck ambassador. Turning back when she reached the door, she sent him the same gentle smile she had for the cameras earlier that morning. "If you have any sense at all you'll stay out of my way." With that she exited the room, Naomi just a step behind her. "What did I miss? She questioned her black haired assistant.

"Well there was a minor robbery outside the gates, but the guards handed it. The rebel you had ambushed was captured, he's in one of the holding cells now. Your advisers think he'd be a good fit."

"I'll have to see for myself then." Eloise smiled at her younger companion. They spent the remainder of their walk in silence until they reached the elevator. Naomi had a slightly worried expression on her face, but said nothing. "Wait for me here, I'll be back soon." She said to the girl who appeared thankful for being spared the trip to the holding cells.

Stepping into the elevator, Eloise pressed the button for the holding cells. The button reading her finger print to verify her identity before descending down towards the cells. Stepping out of the elevator she began to walk towards the only occupied holding cell. Entering without bothering to alert them of her presence.

A small giggle escaped her lips, which quickly evolved into a full out laughing fit. Eventually she was able to calm herself down enough to speak. "Is he dense or something?" She questioned the officer. Everyone knew who she was, many knew her face before they even knew her name, this man seemed to be an exception. Unless of course he had a death wish, which seemed highly unlikely. Deciding to play along to see how long it would take him to figure out her true identity. "Sorry to disappoint, but the chancellor has been rather busy today. You'll have to reschedule your tearing apart for another day." Grinning, she continued. "Why does anyone do anything? I have my reasons, for being here just like everyone else."

"Oh wow, a Noble girl with a sense of humor!" Na'ari thought to himself when he heard her laugh. But then his heart sank when she indirectly called him dense, as if he didn't figure out something yet. The Officer slightly paled at the question and tried to speak but was cut off by her next words.

"Well you certainly know how to pull some strings, because if I'm the only one here, and only a few people are allowed in the holding cells, I just was wondering your motives...." his voice trailed off as he looked at her and studied her features. She had pink hair, was an inch shorter then him, probably, and her smile!! There's only one person who had that. And her name was...

"Eloise Agthoven." Na'ari finally stated. He lowered his head and hit his head with his fist. "Shit! She's Eloise Agthoven! Bloody Eloise Agthoven! She has the means to come in here! Plus She's now..."

"You're the chancellor You're the chancellor. Holy Stardust, I am potentially in deeper trouble for being dense in front of the Chancellor." he said slightly worried and flabbergasted now for his well being. And what's worse he was now thinking of his family. His mother, and his six older sisters. The eldest was a widow with a month old baby to care for! Then there was The Family Company his uncle owned.

He sighed, surrendering himself to what fate the woman had to say in front of him. "Alright, I guess I'll have to hand it to you. You caught me, well played. But I think normally, I'd be on my way to my death after seeing your smug face. So what's the game we're playing?" He asked sarcastically, knowing that potentially, he was doomed. His face slowly became less confident. At the bottom of his heart, he was afraid for himself, afraid for his family, and afraid of the man who first held the name he wore, of how she'd probably disgrace it after thousands of years worth building a reputation the Azura Family had.

"Ancestors forgive and have mercy on me..."

A smug smile planted itself on Eloise's face as her captive finally figured out her identity. It had taken him a moment to make the connection, but after a moments pause her name slipped out from between his lips.

"Ding ding ding, someone get this man a prize." She grinned, watching him begin to panic was quite amusing. Nodding along as he pointed out the fact Eloise was chancellor not once, but twice. Despite her intense urge, she held back her laughter to the best of her abilities. First impressions are everything when you're in power, something as small as a laugh could ruin one. She had finally found a candidate she didn't completely despise, not yet at least.

"Well you see." She spoke, beginning to pace about, the heels of her boots clacking against the floor. "Due to some recent threats to my safety, I've been advised to take on a bodyguard. My officers can only do so much after all. To be completely honest most of the people who would have my head are diplomats who can already get close to me without suspicion. I can't have just any imbecile who can hold a gun guard me, so we've been carefully researching our candidates for months now. I'll have you know you're one of them, so far you're my favorite." Sending over one of her signature smiles, she cut to the chase. "So I'll extend the offer to you. Serve as my bodyguard and I'll haveyour charges dropped. It's entirely up to you." The lie rolled off her tongue in the same fashion as the hundreds that had preceded it. She had no intention of allowing him to decline her offer. When she wanted something she got it, though it was better to let people think they had some choice in the matter before forcing them into complying.

"Of course..." Stopping dead in her tracks she turned towards the man. Her voice taking on a much darker tone. "We have our ways of persuading people, I'm sure you're familiar with them."

Eloise grinned at Na'ari as she somewhat gave him a remark about his realization. But then, she quickly went from that, to the brass tacks. She talked of recent threats to her safety. He fought the urge to talk sarcastically. "Don't forget any cartels or syndicates that you might step on in your secret double dealings, if you do those." he thought. He finally caught himself up in her speech. She needed a bodyguard and she was going through her list of candidates for months, she didn't want some bum with a gun, and he was one and her favorite so far....

His face dusted red when she said that, then her offer. "Did...Did I hear that right?" the young Azura genuinely asked. The Officer slightly paled even further at her offer, but knew he shouldn't question her judgement on a prisoner. Especially when she then gave out a threat.

He gave her a look that showed defeat, though his mind screamed against it. He had to protect his family from whatever else she had in mind. "Well then. It seems I have no choice. Very well Lady Chancellor. I will serve."

7-10 hours later

The Alarm clock in his new quarters signaled him to wake up as The Chancellor's new bodyguard, slightly annoyed, turned the alarm off and got up. He then followed his morning routine, showering, checking his weaponry, getting his cleaned and repaired clothing on. He then holstered his twin pistols then grabbed his most important weapon, and prized possession, his sword Draconil 3.0. after one of its runes gave a green light, similar to his emerald gleaming eyes, he flicked the switch that turned on its blade.

The laser blade extended Three or four feet, it's cyan blue hue lighting up his room as Na'ari lowered his head and uttered a small prayer before tuning it off and hooking it to his holster. He then put on his helmet and made his way towards the doors of Eloise's private Quarters, where he was instructed to wait. The corner of his mouth twitched as his visor closed, so that he'd not show any emotion whilst on duty.

"First day of Work. Let's give Lady Eloise a good first impression. Prove to her she chose right. Here goes nothing."

Eloise laid still in her bed, her silk sheets tangled around her like vines on a trellis from a restless night. A familiar hand fell upon her shoulder, giving it a gentle shake to rouse her from her slumber in the same fashion they did each morning. Releasing a loud yawn, she pulled herself up into a sitting position, and rubbing her eyes. A drowsy voice slipped out of her mouth. "Good morning, Naomi." She addressed her assistant, who had somehow managed to be wide awake and prepared at this hour. A feat she performed each morning in order to wake Eloise on time. "What do I have to do today?" Still partially asleep, she stretched her arms out above her head in an attempt to make herself more alert.

"You have a lunch meeting scheduled with some of the council members at twelve, and a noble requested your presence at a party tonight. It's not until five though, so we should be able to fit it in." Eloise listened intently, nodding along as she went. Pulling herself out of bed, she did a couple stretches before walking to the bathroom and stepping into her shower. Emerging ten minutes later with sopping wet hair and wrapped in a plush white towel. Positioning herself in the chair in front of her vanity, her attendant wasted no time. Beginning to comb and dry her hair the moment she was seated, she was finished just as quickly. Grabbing the white and red dress that had been left out for her, she began to dress herself. Slipping it easily over her lean frame, it only took a moment for her to get dressed.

"Your taste is perfect as always, Naomi." She complimented, admiring her dress in the full length mirror hanging from her wall. "Shall we go?" After receiving a curt nod in response, Eloise swung open one of her twin bedroom doors.

"Good morning." She greeted her newly acquired bodyguard, a smile painted across her pale lips. "I hope we didn't keep you waiting too long."

The doors opened after three minutes. She gave Na'ari her greeting as he regarded her outfit for a moment before putting a fist over his heart in a small salute and a small bow. "Not long Milady." He stated calmly. He also looked at her assistant for a moment before giving her a nod of acknowledgement. Which could be taken as he knew he'd probably have to keep her safe as well or Eloise would have his head.

"I have been made aware of your schedule and hope we can be as punctual as possible in this day's events without the need for me to shoot something." He also stated as he walked with the two towards her transport. He knew what the job required. And there would be attempts. He wanted to try and fit some sarcasm into it.

"I must sound so stupid to her! Keep your head in the job! Say nothing, be like a bellhop in Lillith's Hotel. Say nothing unless spoken to you idiot." He silently berated to himself. He was there to guard her. Not be her friend. Not unless she wanted him to be. He pondered silently of the events that brought him out of Valsir then back in it...

Maybe it was good that he was back. All he had to do was follow her and stick close by. However, when it came closer to her lunch meeting, he felt nervous about following her in. He never really liked politics. Although his Uncle, a weapons manufacturing genius and mainstay weapons dealer for the entire galaxy defense, had to live through it every day, it just wasn't Na'ari's style. It was, in his words.... "BORING"

He hoped this party would have some fun. It wasn't until hours later he was sitting across from her and her assistant Naomi heading to it in her private transport. His wish was partially granted when he had an odd feeling about a black speeder silently tailing them. He narrowed his exposed eyes at it and was prepared for anything as the transport began to stop at the party. He continuously looked at Eloise as she got out first, then eyes turning back to the speeder like a Desert Krayt.

Said speeder then sped to the back of the transport and stopped as its driver pulled out his pistol. However, a shot knocked the blaster out of the drivers hand as Na'ari used the boosters on his suit to fly to the speeder and grab the man by the neck and toss him onto the floor. Followed by a jump and landing on the man's back to pin him down.

"By The Forge I didn't think I'd capture an idiot on the first day. You assassins must underestimate the Chancellor's security. Speaking of which, Officers! You mind?" he said calling them over so they can arrest the man.

He then walked back to Eloise's side. "Nothing like starting a party with a little flair wouldn't you say Milady?" Na'ari asked, smirking under his visor.

The council meeting was the as long and uneventful as usual. The council members had long since learned not to test her, though every word that they spoke was like was like talking a step blindfolded in a field of landmines. One moment she would be listening contently , and the next she would be shouting with little to no warning in between. There wasn't anything too major that needed to be discussed, just updates on the councilor's projects. Wrapping up early, she sent the council members on the way. Seeing some of them off with a handshake or short casual conversation before packing up to leave herself.

When she had finally left the meeting the party was fast approaching. Naomi, punctual as always, had rushed Eloise into her personal transport the moment the last councilor left. Though the two women were normally took their travel time as a time to speak in a more relaxed manner, the one typical of friends. With the addition of the guard the trip was so quiet you could hear a needle drop. After the relatively long ride, she was eager to get out into the party. Anything was better than being stuck in a transport without so much as saying a word the entire time. Before she had time to realize her mistake, her attackers weapon was on the ground.

It took her a moment to process what had happened, just blinking in slight disbelief. The attackers were getting more bold. An attack in broad daylight, and at a party at that, was practically begging to be caught. "These parties tend to attract nothing but it." The people in attendance were mostly nobles, though some would occasionally bring someone of lower status along as a guest. The flamboyant reputation of the upperclass was no surprise after attending a party of their's. As she entered the ballroom, the crowd parted around her, making room for her and her companions to navigate the floor. The exception being the towering man who appeared out of place in his wrinkled suit and bright green tie that was only partially done up. As his eyes landed upon her, she had no choice but to stand her ground while he squealed like a child on Christmas.

"Ellie!" The man shrieked, squeezing the unimpressed chancellor into a hug. Ensnared in his arms, she had to kick him as reminder that she needed to breathe.

"Finnick, I stopped going by that years ago." Eloise sighed, he was the only one who'd still dare to call her that. "Look at yourself, your mother'd be rolling in her grave if she saw you like this." Leaning in to redo his tie, she took her chance to speak without being heard by prying ears. "Were you able to get rid of that senator?" His father was her highest ranking adviser, and a family didn't move up in the Valsir by playing by the rules. In between council meetings and parties, his father was the leader of the Black Owl Syndicate. They were prominent in the galactic underground, and the two families close ties made it easy to keep control over those who might wish to overthrow them.

"Have I ever disappointed you?" Finishing her adjustments, Eloise pulled away. "Who's the new addition?" He questioned, gesturing towards Na'ari.

Na'ari smirked again at her response, all hidden under his helm. He walked with her silently, taking in the party. Oh how he dreaded all the times his uncle had to drag him around here, parading that he might take over the weapon making business. Nope not for him. Draconil and Na'ari had a fate all their own.

He noted how the crowd seemed to part in front of Eloise. She was like a solitary apex predator, stalking around for her next meal. Na'ari wasn't exactly low class, but he was smart enough to notice several plus ones that didn't seem to fit in. It slightly made his mind crawl with slight anger that quickly faded. Then his eyes fell on the Party's host. He was a tall man, likely the son of a councilman. The man was several inches Taller then the New Bodyguard, and that made him lose the battle of intimidation there.

He and Eloise socialized, somewhat. "Ellie huh? Childhood friends or something along those lines?" he thought to himself. It was then the man questioned about his own presence as Na'ari held back a scowl.

"Hello there. I'm Extra Security for the Chancellor." He spoke politely, trying very hard to not crack a joke. He had to hold his own otherwise he'd look like another mindless baboon. "But you may call me Na'ari, If you wish a name."

"And the guy who'll kick anyone in the teeth if they try anything right here and right now." he thought silently, scanning the ballroom. What a perfect place it would be for an assassin to blend in, poison the drinks, or try and lure Eloise away in the dark. Only madmen would charge in there with a blaster or a blade. But of course, Cartels were full of those.

Especially when he saw such a man wearing a symbol on his clothing and looking quite taciturn. "Wolf's Fang Syndicate? They must be lower class nowadays, I decimated their higher ups years ago...after Dad died... What is he doing here?" he thought. He'd have to keep an eye on him as the party commenced as the music began to play. He hoped he wouldn't be asked to dance...

Eloise noticed her bodyguard's sudden change in behavior, he had became much more serious and polite in front of Finnick. He tended to have that effect on people. Despite his lack of care for his outer appearance, he was still a large man who easily intimidated those who weren't one of the lucky few to be in his innermost circle of friends.

"Ah, I see. Poor little Ellie can't protect herself." He teased, earning him a kick in the shin from Eloise. He was quite possibly the only person in the universe she would let get away with teasing her. Their fathers having worked together closely, the two were as close as siblings having spent numerous trips and parties without anyone else anywhere near their age. As he was three years older, he had practically adopted her as the little sister he never had, and she in turn adopted him as a brother. "In that case, you might as well have something to drink." The taller man said, grabbing two glasses of champagne and handing one to her.

Though she rarely drank, Eloise saw no harm in having one or two, gladly accepting the drink. In five minutes Finnick had downed his drink and was reaching for another, only to repeat himself several minutes later. He was well known for his love of drinking for a reason. After half an hour or so he was beginning to feel rather tipsy, reducing himself to a giggling child. Soon growing bored of standing around chatting with his friend. He latched on to the daughter of a wealthy businessman, disappearing into the sea of people that had crowded together on the dance floor.

Now without entertainment, she decided to have a little fun. A wide grin plastering itself onto the chancellor's face, she whipped around to face her bodyguard. "Care to dance?" She offered, though she gave him no chance to respond before she dragged him out onto the dance floor.

Na'ari slightly turned pink under his visor when Eloise turned to him. She said something. He didn't focus but he then realized what she requested. "W-wait, I-I don't know how!" he tried to whisper vehemently. It was a small excuse. He knew how to dance, but not very well. He had to keep an eye on the Wolf Fang member.

However, when the music again played, he simply went with the flow, and tried to not, if possible, step on her toes as they danced. He silently kept his guard up on the task at hand however. "Don't be mad if I accidentally step on your toes. My Uncle used to say I had two left feet. Said I was better at singing then dancing." he remarked as they danced.

Na'ari for some reason though, didn't fall into his curse of two left feet. Maybe it was because Eloise was inches away from him as they danced, or the fact her touch made him... Bashful. Which made him feel more conflicted. She had every right to execute him, a rebel, yet she didn't, instead taking him as a bodyguard. What kind of trouble was she in that needed his sort of expertise?

Meanwhile the Man Na'ari was suspicious of went to check his cuff links. "I think I've been spotted by the man in white. It must be the bodyguard who stopped plan A." The man paused and nodded his head. "Very Well. Plan B then." The man slowly began his walk towards the dance flop as he readied a hidden vibrometal dagger.

"Chancellor, The Wolf's Fang Syndicate sends their regards." The Man stated as loud as he could. The man then readied his dagger but Na'ari deliberately stepped on the Man's toe.

"Sorry to cut in on your attempt. Now for interrupting my first day on my new job, and my first dance in an age, I'm gonna stop you now." The Bodyguard stated as the Syndicate Hireling began to swipe at Him. He backed up, keeping Eloise behind him, as he grabbed his pistol and was about to draw them but the man readied a kick. In that split second, Na'ari knew he had no choice.

He grabbed his blade and switched it on, cutting the man's leg off as the blue blade extended. He then delivered a kick of his own on the remaining leg and pointed his blade at his throat. The visor opening to show a very angry scowl.

"Na'ari Azura...!" The Syndicate member cried in surprise.

"I don't know whether to kill you or interrogate you. I want to kill you for your syndicate ruining my life. But for the sake of keeping the party...clean..." Na'ari sadly looked at the leg he lopped off as he spoke the last word. "I'll probably go for the latter." he then turned to the Chancellor.

"I guess I owe you a full dance at another time then Milady." He said, giving a small, honest smile before his visor closed again.

---

Na'ari was tired that evening. Thus he was glad that soon would be his scheduled time to spend it having his dinner alone, train himself, and meditate before sleeping for the evening as he took off his helmet. "I feel like I haven't slept in ages..." he muttered, as he prepared to get his armor off. However, little did he know, A thunderstorm was going to make his evening all the more excruciating.

Eloise was rather impressed with her bodyguard's skill. Despite expecting him to be a horrible dancer from his description, he was rather good, though nothing compared to her past partners who were all of high status. She was rather enjoying herself, parties like this were normally rather boring to her. Just an endless line of people looking to do anything they could to get close the Agthoven family, well the only remaining member. Whoever was close to the chancellor was guaranteed to stay at the top. It was obvious what they wanted, some people were just more forward about it than others. Most parents were eager to suggest she marry their children, as if they thought they were any different than they other power hungry fools. They're all in it for their own selfish needs. Her own mother who was the daughter of nobles, ran off shortly after Eloise's birth with some drug lord from another Galaxy with millions of dollars taken from her father.

Absorbed in the music and her thoughts, Eloise neglected to notice the man as he approached her. It was only when he practically shouted into her ears she acknowledged his presence, whipping around to face him. She braced herself and closed her eyes, waiting for the dagger to pierce he flesh, but it never did. Whipping her eyes back open, she saw Na'ari standing in front of her. It happened so fast it was almost a blur, but soon her attacker was on the ground lacking a leg. Naomi had rushed to her the moment it was safe, putting her arm around her in a partial hug. In shock, Eloise couldn't even string together words to respond to the questions of the worried girl beside her.

It took her a moment, but she did manage to respond to the man who had just saved her life. "I'll have to take you up on that one day." She said in a voice that was just barely audible, accompanying it with a meek smile.

Having sent both Naomi and Na'ari on their ways, Eloise worked her way through her night routine. As she exited the bathroom her breath hitched as she noticed the raindrops falling outside. The dreary appearance didn't help the feeling of dread that was growing inside her. Pulling her curtains shut violently, she attempted to slow her breathing back to a regular pace. A moment later the roar of thunder outside sent her stumbling back into a stand, falling to the ground with it and the vase that had sat on top of it. Attempting to clean it up, she picked up one of the pieces. Another clash of thunder vibrated the walls of the room, with a yelp, Eloise squeezed the glass. A large cut appearing across the palm of her hand, ignoring the blood that was staining the white floor, she scrambled to get to her safe spot.

The closet had been her place to go ever since she was young. It had taken a while for her father to notice her regular disappearances during storms, but once he did he quickly figured out her hiding place. Instead of chastising her for being afraid, he had made it a much more comfortable area, piling up pillows and blankets by the dozen. The two would sit together in there drinking hot chocolate and talking until the storm was over. It had been a few months since her father's death, but this was her first time without him there to comfort her during the storm. So she sat in the closet, a blanket draped across her, knees drawn up to her chest. Ineffectively using the blanket to muffle her sobs.

Na'ari was about to tuck into bed, not bothered by the storm. When all of a sudden, he heard something crash down the hall.

"Shit..." he thought frantically as he ran to the chancellor's room, and used his handprint that made him authorized to come in there in emergencies to enter the door without it locking on him. What he saw when he turned on his blade was really a nightmare. A broken vase and several drops of blood on the floor. It lead to the closet and when he got closer he heard muffled sobs and realized what might've happened. He looked around for a console and buttons. Discovering one he used the light of his blade to read the labels.

"'Medical dispenser', yes I'll need that. Ah here we go. Cleaner robot." he muttered pushing the two buttons. He was given several medical instruments, along with something that was said to heal most cuts in an instant. From a small hidden door, a small robot emerged and began cleaning the mess on the floor. Satisfied, The Bodyguard turned off his weapon and walked to the closet and lightly knocked before opening the door.

"Don't be afraid Chancellor. It's only I." he said softly, trying to stay relatively calm as he checked her hands. He then began to treat the cut, hoping the medication would heal it up as quick as a flash. "There, better." he muttered as another boom of thunder occurred as He witnessed her reaction.

"... Scared of it huh? I don't blame you. I hate storms like this too. It's either," as he spoke Na'ari shifted around as he sat next to Eloise, "Bad Luck or a good omen. Storms are unpredictable...I hate that about them. It was like this the day I was born. It was also like this when the Wolf's Fang killed my Da...." he trailed off after that, silently frowning at the memory.

"Anyway, do you require anything else? Or am I free to head back to my quarters?" if she wanted him to stay until the storm passes, he'd willingly do so. But for now, he has to wait for her command. If there was none, he would leave.

Eloise wasn't surprised someone had come to check on her, she hadn't been all to quiet. Knowing they were there was of little use though. She was still hysterical, unwilling to move from her spot to see who it was that came to check on her. There was the sound of footsteps outside the closet door, and a few moments later a knock against the closet door. It opened to reveal the last person she would have expected, Na'ari.

It made sense that he would come, it was quite possible someone had broken in. Still, most of the people who worked for her wouldn't even dream of helping her when they weren't required to, excluding Naomi of course. Yet there he was treating her injury without so much as a word from her.

Opening her mouth to thank him, Eloise was cut off by yet another clash of thunder echoed through the room. Pulling her knees even tighter against her chest, and burrowing her head between them. It was pitiful sight, the person with just about the entire cosmos under her thumb, trembling in a closet just because of some storm. She was well aware of this, but she had no choice in the matter. Partially expecting him to mock her for her embarrassing, she was both surprised and relieved when he sat with her. Listening to him speak had helped to calm her down slightly, no longer quite as frantic. Her tears had slowed as well, so when he suggested leaving she panicked a little.

Latching onto his wrist, she almost shouted at him. "Stay!" It took a moment for her to realize what she had done, but the moment she did her face flushed red. Jerking her hand away, she spoke again, this time in a much quieter voice. "I mean, if you don't mind." Avoiding eye contact, ashamed of her rash actions.

Eloise grabbed his wrist like it was the last thing in the universe, and cried out for him to stay. Then she calmed down and reiterated it in a polite way. Na'ari looked at her for a few moments and just silently smiles. "I shall stay until the storm passes." he said as he settled down back where he was sitting when he was talking to her.

"Heck, just ring for me if a storm ever comes around again, and I'll hurry over. Maybe grab a movie data disc or two and make it a hangout." He commented with a small smirk. That was how it was for the rest of the storm, with him talking to the chancellor of small things to keep her occupied and not thinking of the storm. It eventually ended around midnight as Na'ari, triple checking a weather map, finally decided it was time to leave. He probably stayed to help her to bed, then left silently, like a shadow, back into his room.

----

The alarm clock heralded once again another morning and Na'ari prepared for it accordingly. He was at his usual place outside the Chancellor's doors. He pulled up his personal holoschedule to check for the schedule. He nearly did a double take at one of the events later in the afternoon. "Investigate the Wolf's Fang Syndicate starting with interrogating Prisoners brought in by Bodyguard" Na'ari pursed his lips under his visor, silently pondering if he was required to be present. He almost didn't catch an earlier schedule, which made him even more pale then his complexion already is.

"Meet with and discuss business with Azura Inc. President, Ezekiel Azura." marked as important. Azura Inc. weaponry was always a mainstay in the galaxy. The army had its first picks on guns, grenades, Laser Blades, Vibroblades, etc., from Azura Inc. but what made Na'ari pale was one thing and one thing only.

"Whatever I do...keep my visor CLOSED. Why do I have to be in proximity with my UNCLE?!" he thought silently all the transport ride towards said meeting spot for said Person. He tried not to show his nervousness to the other passengers, namely Eloise, by simply looking out the window. His right hand however, was quivering, indicating his nervousness.

Luckily for Eloise, Na'ari agreed to stay with her, even going as far as to offer up his time in the future. "Thank you." She smiled gratefully at him. For the next few hours he stayed with her, just speaking of little things with no real importance, distracting her from the storm outside. After a few hours the storm had passed them by, after helping her into bed, N'ari had slipped out of the room just as fast as he had come in.

Eloise woke up that morning in a rather foul mood. She wasn't all too happy when she didn't get her normal amount of sleep, having stayed up so late because of the storm, she had missed out on more than a few hours of sleep. However it wasn't long before she shook this off, or it least concealed it. While rushing her through her regular morning routine, Naomi reminded Eloise of the appointments she had today. One of which she couldn't possibly have forgotten. She had a meeting with the president of Azura Inc. today. For the last few months their relationship had been rather rocky to say the least. She had even heard some rumors he had been selling weapons under the table to people who would wish her dead. She would have to make it clear that if he was indeed doing this it wouldn't be tolerated.

Within in minutes of her waking, Eloise was seated in her transport with Naomi and Na'ari. The later of whom was acting peculiar. Something was quite obviously bothering him, avoiding looking at them by staring out the window, and he was fidgeting a bit. It was quite obvious he was worried about something, as to what that was, unfortunately she had no idea. She was about to ask him about this when they arrived at the meeting place. Shrugging it off, she exited the transport making her way into the meeting place. This time it was a high end restaurant, though they had the foresight to book the entire place so they wouldn't be disturbed.

The President had arrived before them, and was already seated at a table towards the center of the room. As they approached, he stood up to great them. "Mr. Azura." She addressed him, extended a hand which he took and promptly shook before both of them sat down across from each other. "My apologies for the delay, we got a bit held up. I'm sure you have other appointments to get to, so shall we start?"

Ezekiel Azura shook Eloise by the hand, Na'ari sat close to the table they were at. He had greying black hair and goatee. He took off his blue colored shades. "Well then, As a starter, I am aware you've potentially heard some potential rumors of Azura Inc. weaponry being dealt under the table." Ezekiel gave a small sigh. "Unfortunately, as much as I want to deny it, there have been members of my board dealing under the table."

"What else is new?" thought Na'ari. Ezekiel handed a list containing names to Eloise. "I have a list of the board members who are dealing. In exchange I want a convoy guarding several of the our ships on the trade routes. The cartels are raiding them to no end robbing the garrisons of their order. I lost my younger brother to the Wolf's Fang Syndicate six years back."

"Don't use that as an excuse for your laziness!" Na'ari angrily blurted out. "If you cared for the company clean it out yourself you coward!" Ezekiel turned his head to The Bodyguard and pointed a finger at him. "You hired him as a bodyguard? Kid was a bellhop several ye-" Ezekiel saw Na'ari grip on his blade. "Joking Nephew."

"Just give us the damn list." Na'ari angrily stated as he turned around and sat five feet away from the table.

---

"I'm sorry I lost my cool Chancellor, but I cannot stand that man. He's not a black market dealer like the men on the list, but he's a rich asshole of an Uncle. Pardon the language Naomi." Na'ari stated as he sat with Naomi and Eloise in the transport back. "He's the guy who told me I had two left feet, blah blah. But regardless, that convoy of weapons is important for the soldiers on the rim worlds. If the Wolf's Fang get ahold of it, there's no telling what their next attempt on your life will include."

Na'ari sighed and leaned back. "He's especially boring at family reunions too. Naomi, what's next?"

As Eloise had expected, the elder man admitted to the under the table dealings. Having already written up a list of the board members who had been dealing under the table. He must have had the insight to not bother to cover it up, that would only be worse for him in the long run. Eloise wasn't all too fond of being lied to, especially when it came to business like this. If he were to choose to cover this up instead, it was more than likely she'd have him put to death, or imprisoned at the very least.

Eloise was about to start negotiating with him about how many of her agents should be sent, when her bodyguard had a rather violent outburst. She was startled at first, but it soon began to fit together when she realized they were related. Though it was amusing to think of Na'ari in one of those silly outfits bellhops wore. As soon as the image popped into her head she was unable to get it out. While internally she was laughing at this, she was on official business, so she refused to allow her face to reveal her emotions. Maintaining a stoic expression, though she was tempted to keel over laughing.

"My apologies for my bodyguard's behavior. I believe it's about time we leave. I'll have a single convoy sent your way in compensation for this list. How you direct it is completely up to you."

Eloise nodded along as Na'ari vented. He had obviously been fed up with his uncle. At his question Naomi began to recite the days schedule she had memorized that morning.

"When we get beck we have to interrogate that Wolf's Fang member you captured. We have a dinner scheduled with the Royal family of Avalon, they arrived earlier today, if all goes well hopefully they'll finally agree to cooperate with us." The Avalonians had long been troublesome, as one of the few planets that still refused to unite under the chancellor. Eloise had been notified of their visit a week prior, but they showed up a day earlier than expected. They would have to wait though, she had other matters to deal with first, and that was her priority. The Wolf's Fang Syndicate had been troublesome to say the least, the sooner they were disposed of the better.

"Of course when you mean we, you probably mean me if interrogation floods over and she has to be there at the appointed time." Na'ari stated. Maybe it was the wrong wording for it, to which he sighed, "I have no doubts though, that the interrogations will be short." he gave an honest smile as the transport headed back towards where the prisoners are kept.

---

"For the last time, I'll say nothing! The Chancellor stepped on our toes that's it!" Shouted the One legged Assassin as Na'ari sighed.

"You're hiding something. The Wolf's Fang is in such disarray the past six years they wouldn't think this big unless another paid you. Who was it?"

"Go bother someone else. The Syndicate is a syndicate of survivors. We don't sell ourselves to anyone." The assassin sneered as he glared. "Lets not forget the man who made us this way six years ago. It was because of y-"

"Your leaders were killed by a Young man who wanted justice for his father's death because his uncle was too afraid of the consequences. I also know that it was a very lucky kill. Now tell me who is backing the syndicate now?"

"Like I said. You and the whore Chancellor can kiss my a-" He stopped short when Na'ari turned on his blade. The azure beam came very close to the man's neck. "You think a stupid beam sword is going to scare me?"

"When said sword is close to your neck and has a very competent wielder, chances are yes. You should be."

"Our masters will tear you limb from limb!" The man shouted. Then he immediately covered his mouth.

"Thank you for that. We'll be in touch." Na'ari said smirking as he closed his visor and nodded to Eloise. "I think we need to find their financials."

Eloise tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for them to finish questioning the prisoner. She had never enjoyed interrogations all too much, but she soon realized that it was much less exciting when you weren't the one doing the questioning.

'Someone could use a lesson in manners.' Eloise thought, the insult had done little more than bother her. Na'ari on the other hand made it clear his patience was wearing thin. Once he was done threatening the prisoner with his sword at their throat, Eloise stood up and left the room so they wouldn't be heard while discussing their plans.

"I'll have my best men get on that right away, though I can't say for sure how long it'll take them. It all depends how well they've covered their tracks, if they're anything like the guy we caught we shouldn't have any problems. Glancing at her watch, Eloise realized just how late she would be if she didn't get going right away. "I should start getting ready for dinner, Naomi is waiting for me. Dinner starts at 5:00, meet me in the dining hall."

♠ ♣ ♠ ♣ ♠ ♣ ♠ ♣ ♠ ♣ ♠ ♣ ♠ ♣ ♠ ♠ ♣ ♠ ♣ ♠

Having been fussed over by Naomi for several hours, Eloise made her way to the dining hall. Just a few minutes after her arrival the royal family entered flanked by about a dozen guards. Concealed behind what was practically a wall of guards, she could barely see them until they were seated. The whole family was there, so chances were they wouldn't be discussing anything too important. The King and Queen were in their early fifties, though they were still dressed as if they were in their twenties. The Prince seemed disinterested to say the least, simply stared off into space. The Princess, who couldn't have been any older than 13, was a little too interested, clinging intently to every word that slipped out of the chancellor's mouth.

"Lord and Lady Carrington, how lovely to see you. I hope your trip was nice, I would have greeted you upon your arrival, but I wasn't expecting you until later this week.
