'THE MASKED ONE FOUGHT WITHOUT REST FOR EIGHTY MOONS AGAINST THE FORCES OF THE DIVINE, AND WAS ONLY STRUCK DOWN WHEN ITS EYES WERE BURNED AWAY, ITS VOICE TAKEN AND ITS EARS BURNT SHUT WITH THE DESERT SAND ARMED WITH NOTHING BUT ITS OWN HAND. THIS ONE CARRIES A FRACTION OF THE MASKED ONE'S POWER IN ITS MIND, AS DO ALL OF THE MASKED ONE'S CHILDREN. IT WILL NOT FAIL IN ITS MISSION. IT WILL RETURN TO ITS HOMELAND.' The Tall Man stated simply, beaming his message into the mind of the one called Pyro. It did not break stride in its straight-line path across the meadow, it paid no heed to Krei's playing amongst the long stalks tapering down to his tiny feet. It paid no heed to the yellow-headed one's whining or the pushiness of the feral-sounding one, the one with two minds.

Its final comment for the moment was, again, to pyro. 'AND THIS ONE IS NOT THE YELLOW-HEADED FOOL'S PROTECTOR.'

She heard what maskey said but ignored it ,and inster spoke up I agree we can't stay here all day. She wondered why isn't my magic more powerful, could the wich have drained it somehow, when i see her agin ill curse her into oblivean. She quickly fallowed the others not wanting to be left behined, even though citys couldn't die they can be poisoned ,wounded and every thing else.

FOOORTH! Go move gotta fast go NOW!

For a moment, Krei spasmed in place as though he had been electrocuted. Without warning, he dissolved into a puddle. The puddle became a small wave and eventually his mask was surging forth on a tiny technicolour tsunami. It was surprisingly fast. So fast, in fact, that Krei ended up shooting forth past the whole group and straight into the fleeing cat-like creature. It could only be considered a collision, with Krei exploding off of the beast like a popping water baloon. Little chunks of Krei flew all around the place and stuck in the cat's fur, searing at all they touched.

The mask shuddered and vibrated on the floor, calling back its constituent parts. They drew harsh, burnt lines of warped ground, flora and flesh as they rolled back into Krei's mass. The beast howled with pain and made its first mistake. Rather than fleeing, or learning that touching Krei was painful, it swiped with massive claws. The sludgy consistency of Krei caught the claw and kept pulling. The horrid stench of rot, decay and burning fur filled the air as the terrified beast struggled to pull its paw out. Krei let it go and the cat pulled back a skeletal limb that dissolved on contact with the air. The beast could think of nothing but terror. Its mind was screaming, howling, desperately wishing for its nightmare to end. Without warning, it was silenced as though it had simply ceased to exist.

When the group finally caught up with Krei, it was still consuming the monster's head. The whole area stank of Krei's fetid odour and the air tingled with ozone, the remnants of uncontrolled magical discharge. Though it had been dead for only moments, the beast was already crawling with voracious worms and corpse-eating insects drawn by Krei's smell. Had the group not already partially acclimatized themselves to Krei, the sight of this 'feeding' might have caused those of lesser constitution to lose their lunch.

Pyro's eyes widened at the sudden angry thoughts of the masked man coursing through his head, he had expected the tough girl to respond and was a bit thrown off. Luckily he could tell it was coming from the masked being by the clear temporary mental connection. The memory of his brother's thoughts racing through his head nearly made Pyro block out this unknown creature with all his mental barriers but he resisted the urge and took the statement with all of its harsh reality. So this masked figure did speak but apparently not verbally or in the same ways, like the blob of energy he seemed to have some grasp of most of a human language with a few gaps.

Smirking Pyro was satisfied with the reaction of the masked man, perhaps they had a shred of a chance, if they were lucky. When out of no where the blob spazzed and darted away transforming again into incomprehensible shapes and blurting out scattered language.

"Come on!" Pyro shouted more simply and followed the blob after the cat, he didn't know what it was thinking but hopefully it did. He arrived on the scene what appeared to be too late to recognize what had occurred. With a rotting carcass and a indescribable stench that slightly resembled sulfur, decaying flesh, and fire lizard dung Pyro was force to plug his nose and nearly shielded his eyes from the corpse of the cat. Whatever the creature had done it was unnatural and made his body involuntarily tense in fear.
