With the death of Glabatorix the lands of Alagaesia are at peace. All seems to be well. But evil lurks in the hearts of many. Danger peers around every tree, waiting to strike. A new generation of Dragon Riders is approaching. They live in secret, protected by the Atraxi. They train them in combat, and when they are ready, the Atraxi send them out into the world to find their own way. But the darknes is rising in the far lands of Alagaesia. A rival force retalliating against the new riders for the death of Glabatorix. The Caligaran.

During a ride through the Forest of Ascetir, Eragon, now the King of Alagaesia, and the Varden, are attacked by the Caligaran. Many of the Varden warriors are killed, but Eragon is saved by the leader of one of the combat groups of the Atraxi. The identity of the warrior is unknown, as Eragon had been knocked unconscious when he was rescued.

The roleplay starts with the attack on Eragon in the forest. We go from there.
