Introduction
Time is an odd, odd thing. Some say it's a human invention. That time is merely a division of perception. Another method of putting in order the chaotic universe, invented by a species who crave structure and law. That's what the Aware believe, anyway. They doffed their perception of time long ago. They believe they are aware, in a manner of speaking, to the true nature of the universe. You, however, are not the Aware. You are the Clockmakers. You are time, in a way. You have been tasked with the upkeep and defense of the concept that the Aware scoff at. You are the keepers of time. The majority of the Clockmakers, however, don't know this. And neither do you. All you know is that you have been given these powers for one reason for another. You don't know that you were meant to prevent the Aware and paradoxes from ripping reality to tiny shreds. Which they can. A small number of them, anyway. But we'll broach that subject at a later date. Though the concept of a later date is rather fluid in this context. But I digress. Here is a list of the types of Clockmakers, each with their own advantages and disadvantages.
Clockstoppers: Ever felt as if time stood still around you, just for a moment? Clockstoppers can make that happen. They cease the flow of time in their general area, holding all objects and organisms in that bubble of static time in a temporal lockdown. Of course, time is rather vindictive about this. When a Clockstopper releases their hold, time will speed up around them to compensate for the stop. This, of course, is bad.Events that seem to flow at normal speed flash before their eyes. A gunman could fire a headshot and you could do nothing about it. The speed up is proportional to the time spent in lockdown.
Borrowers: Ever wanted the wisdom of the Greek philosophers, or the strength of some future superman? Well, you aren't a Borrower, since if you where, you would have it by now. Borrowers can "borrow" the traits, skills, and abilities of people from the past, present, or future. This, however, comes with a few caveats. Borrowing from someone in the future is more difficult than borrowing from someone in the past or present. No more than one Borrower can borrow from the same person at one time. If you suddenly lose your Olympic runner speed or genius intelligence, chances are high that another Borrower has them.
Runners: Runners either speed themselves up in time or slow everything else down. It's hard to say, as from the Runner's perspective, the rest of the world is slower than a snail, to use the coloquial term. From the outside, however, Runners move faster than the eye can percieve. All they see is a blur. When in the running state, your punches hit harderyou can run across water, and bullets move like particularly sluggish flys. However, when you exit the running state, time catches up with you. If you run around the world, you'll age at the same rate as if you'd walked around the world. Extended periods in the running state are very exahausting upon exit, leaving you sweaty and panting.
Rippers/Menders: Rippers and Menders are the same thing under different banners. The ripping aspect is when they send a part of the target's body further down on the timeline, bringing up bullet wounds and lacerations that have yet to happen. The mending portion is the opposite, pushing the body part backweards on the timeline. However, both parts of the ability have their drawbacks. The mending process is only temporary, as the wounds will reappear as the subject progresses along the timeline. Ripping, however, has a different danger attached. The further along the timeline the injury is, the longer and more effort it takes to bring it in.
Xeroxes: Xeroxes can bring in past of future versions of themselves to fight beside them in battle. The advantages to this are clear. It is, however, leveled out by the disadvantages. If a past version of you dies in a fight that you brought them in to, you die. Also, there's the possibility of having yourself brought over to fight in a battle you already participated in or haven't fought yet.
Travelers: The quintessencial time traveler, Travelers step through the boundries of time itself. The entire timeline is their playground and nothing is beyond their reach. On the other hand there are many, many downsides to this ability. For one thing, travel to the future is never a good idea. Using knowledge of future events to change the outcome will cause a time paradox, as will killing anyone who was not supposed to die yet. Also, Travelers are bound to Stable Time Loops. If you see a future version of yourself walking around, you must eventually travel back to that point on the timeline.
As previously stated, you have no idea where your abilities came from. You have recieved a letter from someone calling themself The Timepiece. The Timepiece has offered you a chance to meet with him in an abandoned warehouse on the waterfront. THis stranger has said that they can explain to you the origin and purpose of your powers and what you must do to fulfill your place in the workings of the Universe. It's up to you to decide whether or not you want to go.

The running force's pressure bumped against Adelaide's back. The Brooklyn Bridge wasn't too far from the warehouse, but when she was in her running state, it felt like it would have been hours just to get there. She knew that this much running would most likely cause her heart to burst, however, she wasn't worried about that right now. To the others' point of views, they could no longer see Adelaide; it was as if she had just disappeared. Her mind was going in a massive rush, and her thoughts were jumbling up in her head. The only thing that was really on her brain was to devour Will Monroe at his own game. Well, technically, their own game.
As Adelaide kept pushing herself to go faster, plain running to her just simply sounded boring. Why not make things a bit interesting? No, it would just cause harm to herself and possibly other innocent civilians around her. She knew, however, that her time would come. As for right now, her mind was set on touching the Brooklyn Bridge road and then returning back to the warehouse to proclaim her victory.

Ivan looked around at the group. He wondered what was on everybody's mind. Only one thing had invaded his mind. Jack. It was finally his opportunity to show off his powers. Ivan began again to picture as he was before the scratch on his cheek. It wasn't hard, the scratch was the only thing that changed. With the picture firmly engraved in his mind's eye he addressed the group.
"Since I'm the only who hasn't shown off his power and the drama twins are out of the way it would be appropriate to take this opportunity. Jack, I noticed you got a cut on your cheek earlier... If you allow me to put my hand over it I can take care of that...at least temporarily."

Though he knew of what it was, but being from a wealthy family it hadn't made him need anything. So it was a complete shock when a strange man dressed in rags had dropped the note before leaving.
Was he a bum magnet?
It was what had brought him to the place he was now. A warehouse numbered 390. The note had been clear of the location and even seemed rather jovial. Marcus was unsure what to think as he saw the door open and shut with a huge gust. It was at this point he considered running and continuing his mission to prevent his family collapse, but the person named 'Timepiece' knew whom he was. That also meant he knew who his family was, and that placed a danger on them.
Glancing to his pocket he trembled wondering if he should call the police. Was he in any danger? It was well known who he was and that his family were wealthy. It was times like this he wishes he had a gun, but the stupid brute relied on his fists most of the time. 'Fuck, what am I getting myself into' he thought.
Taking one look again at door he glanced it swinging open before slamming shut again. Lifting his head high he walked up the building and opened the door gradually, his eyes adjusting to the dim light.
What met his eyes was a strange sight, but their were people here, and they looked just as confused as he was. Ignoring his worry he stepped in and announced his presence, "Marcus Weatherby, I presume one of you is the host?"
That was a joke host, it was a shithole, but for now he play the role of the wealthy playboy and see what happens. True he wasn't dressed like one, but his English was impeccable, so even his choice of wear tonight, jeans and a Guns N Roses t-shirt, couldn't hide the illusion he was trying to build.

It's night, as it usually is for events such as these. Not that it matters. For you, night is merely a matter of aesthetic. From street level, this place is a testamant to man's fear of the dark. But enough blathering about and other such silly things. You have work to do.

However, this idea is very appealing to me, so I think I will join if you have spots left. I'd love to be a traveler, but it seems to hard to play. I mean, you need to give a great deal of consideration of the whole plot, and you need to have great timing, and... it seems like a big headache, to be honest.
I think I'll be a stopper, just because that seems less troublesome than the others.
But then again, that's only if you have spots left.
Re: [OOC] Early, Late, and Right On Time.
Anyways, good luck with your RPG! :)
Re: [OOC] Early, Late, and Right On Time.
No problems when ever you get a shot just give me somewhere to go outside of Jack's healing and I will play with you... I mean when can continue this on and on... As we all know a man with Timepieces powers probably has no concept of time as I assume he can control so him being late is not that weird.

Thank you for sending OT a PM to find out status but I imagine it is just IRL drama. Happens to me every time I want to start a good game. lol

Exactly, and for me I thought my post was left open for many answers. I'm new to this, but it's been almost 2 weeks, that's a bit ridiculous to be honest. So what we going to do?

Which would have been humorous because it would have defeated her purpose for doing it... (IE to slow Will down) and it would have given Ivan another fun healing experiment.
I vote you should have left it!

@Rulke: Yeah, Bodhi pretty much tol you what you need to know.
Re: [OOC] Early, Late, and Right On Time.
As far as I'm concerned, (And Ominous can override any of this ... as he is the GM) you may want to post how you character gets to the warehouse. You may also want to see where your post falls in on the time line. I think it would be humorous to have your character show up right as Will and Adelaide get back from there race. The shock factor for your char would be funny.
Anything about your character that was not adequately covered in the opening would be fun.
As always deferred to authority for specifics but I think these are safe basics.
Greetings and happy playing,
BT
