Okay, so here's the deal...

A few years ago I watched this anime called Ikki Tousen (The first season). Within the first few minutes I was immediately drawn in. I'm a fan of the Dynasty Warrior games and a huge history buff so the idea of taking legendary figures from a particular time period and bringing them in today really sparked my interest. Of course, later that episode I found out what the series was really going to focus on and, while I still enjoyed the first season, I found that the overall direction of the show began to focus on something far different from what I thought it was going to. I know, I know, woe is me, right? Anyway, while I didn't like how the idea was brought to fruition, I was still a big fan of the original concept and thought that, if there were like-minded people out there, they would indulge me and be willing to give a roleplay based on the concept a shot. For those of you who don't know what Ikki Tousen is or what events in history it relates to, I'll try to set a mood...

Roughly two thousand years ago, one of the bloodiest and most violent periods in China's history took place. What would later come to be known as, The Romance of The Three Kingdoms. For almost a century, battles were fought and won, and heroes lived and died on the battlefield, giving everything so that maybe the land would see peace under the guidance of their chosen Ruler. For most, they did not live to see these days of peace, often dying full of regret and the overwhelming desire to bring vengeance upon those who had wronged them during their lifetime.

The story follows the ideas of reincarnation, though it gives it a unique twist. The souls of those who fought these battles and became legends out of it have past their fighting spirit onto others, slowly growing with each new life. Now, if you are familiar with the series of Ikki Tousen, you would know that it takes place in high schools, each representing notable sides during the beginning and end of the era. If this makes you recoil against the wall at the thought of reading all this just to find out it was a high school roleplay, don't let it. Seriously, almost none of this will have to do with going to class or anything of the like (I honestly don't know what even goes on in high school roleplays, so I'm throwing out random thoughts as to what might). Okay, time for the info dump...

The story will start with the Yellow Turban Rebellion, led by the Mystic and Ruler, Zhang Jue. For the sake of saving us all the headache of trying to keep up with NPC characters, all non-roleplayer made characters will just be referred to by their original name. You will of course be choosing the name of your own character. Zhang Jue is the leader of Kyushu High, a school near the city limits that up until this point was relatively quiet. Jue believes that he will change his fate and overcome the failings of the previous Zhang Jue. This will be the set up for which we start the roleplay. I want to try and do all the major battles (Hu Lao Gate, Chi Bi, Guan Du, etc.), with some notable changes to make it more interesting for us.

Here's the Kingdoms/Schools you can choose and then create a character from (Only 3 as they were the most important). You are welcome to choose another figure from these kingdoms, but below each Kingdom will be a list of characters who you can play as, but some will start somewhere else at the beginning of the roleplay and it will be noted if they do. If there is someone you want to choose who isn't listed here, just ask and I'll set it up.

Wei
1. Cao Cao- Ruler
2. Xiahou Dun- Second in Command and Strong Fighter.
3. Sima Yi- Strategist, almost unparalleled save for one other.
4. Xiahou Yuan- Strong Fighter

Other notable choices: Zhang Liao (Will start in Luoyang High). Xu Huang (Luoyang High).

Wu
1. Sun Ce- Ruler
2. Gan Ning- Strong Fighter
3. Zhou Yu- Strategist, Strong Fighter and Second in Command
4. Taishi Ci- Strong Fighter

Other notable choices: Lu Xun, Ling Tong, Lu Meng

Shu
1. Liu Bei- Ruler
2. Guan Yu- Strong Fighter
3. Zhang Fei- Strong Fighter
4. Zhuge Liang- Strategist on par, maybe even surpassing, Sima Yi.

Other notable choices: Zhou Yun, Ma Chao (Liang Academy)

Now, there is one last choice you can have as far as a Kingdom/School your character can attend...

Luoyang High
1.Dong Zhuo- Ruler
2.Diao Chan- Strategist
3.Lu Bu- Rumored to be Strongest Fighter in the City and he probably is.

Now be warned, if you play Dong Zhuo, you might want to double up as he/she probably won't be sticking around very long. I moved through that pretty fast so if you have any questions, just pm me or ask in the OOC.
