Quinn was reading when she recieved the text. At first, she could have sworn it would be her mother. The woman never gave it a rest that she honestly wanted Quinn to go to the school's alma mater. Quinn rolled her eyes at the thought and fished for her phone. With it finally in her hand, a frown formed on her face Maria's text. She hurried to put her things away and rushed out of the library, ignoring the librarian's glare for causing noise.
Quinn was in the bathroom in roughly two minutes, actually having sprinted on her way there. Automatically, her face softened at the sight of Maria's tears, which weren't really often in Quinn's eyes. She walked over to her friend slowly, kneeling in front of Maria with concern shining in her eyes.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" Quinn reached over and tucked a few strands of hair behind Maria's ears, gently trying to wipe the girl's tears away.
