Given Moto's past in a normal middle and high school career, the boy has become morally weak from the countless times he was bullied in said institutions. His timid personality can be visually seen given his figure, which appears to be always on the defensive. With a faint of heart expression always on his face, it's obvious that the effects of his past are long lasting and have carried over into Moto's persona today. Although it may seem that his mentality can shatter like glass in an instant, he's surprisingly durable and has grown used to verbal attacks of the past. He is accepting of others yet can easily abide by their will without protest. Being overly submissive yet polite, he's the perfect 'Yes Man', which was why he was first offered an enrollment at the DWMA under a separate role from Meister. Easily embarrassed and very flexible, the boy shows compassion for those who are close to him. But beside his caring and fragile composure lies the constant lingering feeling of remorse, denial of the past which has molded the present Moto. Regardless of his past, he remains loyal and devoted to those he serves with. Moto has forced himself on an endless campaign to atone for sins which he perceives to be caused by himself.
Hobbies:
Housekeeping - "I live by myself in my apartment, of course I'm proactive. I can't afford a housekeeper, nor am I sufficed with another person rummaging through my belongings."
Reading Manga - "They're not too common in Death City, comics and other media can be found at random vendors. Although it's hard to chain together corresponding series, reading lone chapters is still a great time killer."
Desert Scouting - "Death City is completely surrounded by a desert, and is quite the hassle to travel to. I've managed to become a part of a company which maps out the best possible routes to take from other regions to here. It provides a decent pay, I guess I also helped that I got on my knees and begged for the job. I manage to balance career hours with school and have some time left over for myself."
Task Manager - "Along with my previous enrollment as a Mission Analyst and Director, I sometimes take on sporadic tasks regardless of the pay. It's usually just running errands and other stuff of that sort."
Training - "I'm not the strongest person out there, so I have to keep my fitness and endurance constantly on the ready. I'm proud to say I have ascended to ten pound dumbbells! Wow, I had envisioned that sounding cooler than it actually does. Damn."
Habits:
Lost in Time - Sometimes Moto can be lost in his thoughts when stored memories begin to surface. His whole body tenses up and the outside world is blocked out.
Shirt Policy - Long sleeves everywhere. Within Moto's arsenal of apparel, only long sleeve shirts, hoodies, and jackets can be found. This choice of wear is utilized to conceal the scars on his arms, no matter what time of the year it is. People sometimes gawk at his ability to not break a sweat, even during work hours in the middle of the desert.
Flailing Arms - When caught off guard or out of blatant embarrassment, the boy tends to flail his arms without control or simply throw them into the air, a generic French surrender.
Likes/Loves:
- Food - "I'll admit it, I'm a bit of a glutton. Just a bit. Though I manage to restrain myself when my wallet begins to feel light."
- Coffee&Tea - "I work pretty lengthy hours. I requires some form of sustenance. Sometimes I mix the two together, and cause a rip in the space-time continuum."
- Striving for the Better - "I aim to improve myself, and atone for what I've done. Maybe it's just my oblige to erase my past self."
- Random Jobs - "In all honesty, I find it interesting to organize peoples' requests on a scale, ranging from notable to utter lethargicness. It's pretty entertaining, actually."
- Productivity - "Always move forward. That's my quota. The world we live in is pretty cruel. If you stop for a moment, you'll be left behind in everybody's wake."
- Previous memories
- Sharp Objects
- Apathy
- Snow - "I've lived in the desert for my whole life. One time I went to Russia with a couple pairs. I think I legitimately froze my butt off."
- Strong Combatants - "I'm weak. I've already accepted that."
Perception - "First a guider, now I'm the guided. Let's see if I can mix these two skill trees together."
Combat Experience - "I was deployed with a fireteam during the attack on Arachnophobia. Let's just say, not everybody made it back with their souls intact. I wasn't a meister at the time and was entirely reliant on my fellow students. I continue to fight in memory of those who have fallen."
Small Physique - "A double-edged sword in my opinion. Pros of my figure are that I can get up close and personal, and that I'm a hard to hit target. I'm also quite flexible, you know, able to do full flips and gymnastics. "
Docile Behavior - "I don't start feuds, I leave that to others. I see no reason in making an enemy out of a possible ally."
Weaknesses:
Small Physique - "Like I said, a double-edged sword. I don't have much force behind my punches, and don't even get me started how many times I've been used as a weight in PE."
Easily Flustered - "...B-baka. Don't sneak up on me like that."
Clean Freak - "This is not a weakness! It's an art!"
Swimming - "...I've grown up in Death City. Although there are patches of green and blue around these parts, I've never taken on learning how to swim. Going in a bath tub is hell."
"They say madness can force people to do anything. Anything."
Moto has been a resident of Death City for as long as he could remember. The boy has walked through all of its windy streets and gazed at its distorted and asymmetrical architecture countless times. It was a daily grind, a flat graph from point A to point B without any inclines or declines. Nonchalance was his gluttony, and his life was a repetitive revolution. Never one to voice his opinions, the Japanese boy found himself submitting to others whims without opposition. Although it was a city renowned for molding the finest meister pairs, the boy relented and opted to join an ordinary highschool for those which lacked the aptitude to fight against kishin. Both of his parents constantly traveled, given the fact that they were a meister pair themselves. During every departure the boy was left to fend for himself. Soon enough, he learned to fend for himself in their absence and became self-reliant.
Moto was constantly bullied at his school for his small physique and lacking criteria in masculinity. Even though such a dreary existence, he kept his hopes high and dealt with whatever blows he received. The lanky student pulled good grades and strove to pave a brighter future for himself. At the age of fifteen, he found himself joining a nearly unknown club. Albeit he was the only male member, he never attempted to branch a relationship with any of the others, as he was sufficed with just friendship and shoulders to lean on. For once, he had found others to rely on. Maybe he could place some faith in them rather than himself? By this time he had already taken on a more proactive stance and managed to seize a dual-enrollment. He spent half of his time at the normal institution, meanwhile the other portion was used as a mission analyst at the DWMA. It was obvious he would slowly transition over to a full-time student at Death's academy soon. The boy brought himself to give the club a farewell, yet tragedy struck in correlation with his transfer. With Asura having broken loose, madness ensued across the whole world. There were those who were weak and easily became overburdened with the negative aura. A few week preceding the battle on Arachnophobia did the bad news find its way to Moto. The boy was busy filing papers in a teacher's office when he received a notification from one of his former club member's parents. The whole entire group was found dead on the outskirts of town, under the influence of madness. All of them brought about their untimely demise, leaving the boy alone in the world yet again.
Moto was fell into a turmoil of despair, pity, and harm. He wasn't fully there on the battlefield surrounding Baba Yaga's Castle. The fifteen year old wasn't contempt with the recent events. How could four lives perish just like that, in an instant? It was unfair, cruel, unruly. Yet it was a reminder of the terms of reality, and how it played by nobody's rules but its own. It was a miracle that the boy made it through the warzone unscathed, but some of his fellow students and elders had fallen along the way. It was kind of ironic, how he was an underling of Death himself. Two years later and the boy finally decided to switch from an analyst to a full-fledged meister. Maybe it was out of revenge or out of denial of the past. Regardless of the underlying cause, it was his job to make a change in his pace.
